Christianity EtcRe: Is Morality Possible Without An Authoritative Source? by kokabiel(f): 5:51pm On Jul 25, 2012
Ihedinobi: This here's the reason I pulled out, brothers on the forum. Argument for me is about rendering a witness for Christ. Acceptance or rejection of this witness is not my responsibility. My responsibility is to make sure a witness has been rendered for Him. I'm saying this to you, my brothers here because there is a point at which we will start to corrupt our testimony by insisting on getting the light through. Mr Anony, you remember the accusation of dishonesty made upon me. That is just one example of a beginning of corruption. The witness has been made. Leave our respondents to do with it what they will.
Could not have put it any more clearer than you just did. if one cannot come to realization on this, perhaps with time he will (or not) at least you have put in the Word

Goshen360: ^^^
My sister, I understand you perfectly well. My issue is (without specifically mentioning some names), how do we have good fellowship when you open a thread for Christian teachings, growth and edification when there is constant derailing and immature activities that is constantly done on purpose by some "babies"? How? It's like you are in your work place and being constantly disturbed by a "mad man", will you be encouraged to continue to work in such office? I am not against Atheist per say on this board, but I think the rules of this session is not strictly adhered to and this is main cause to the quality of Christian fellowship we have on this session.
Mathew 7:6 Do not give dogs what is sacred; do not throw your pearls to pigs. If you do, they may trample them under their feet, and then turn and tear you to pieces.
Simply ignore such comments, if the MOD is not too busy a rule and effective BAN Action is called for.
You can title your post For Christians ONLY - let us discuss Healing..
per chance an unruly immature non-believer starts making nonconstructive comments - simply hit the Report button and have them banned for at least a week. but seriously, staying focused on the Message and the Audience is far more important than the arguing who God is and whether he exists or not or when the earth was formed.

Intention, but still go ahead, afterall they also need the sexual
Satisfaction.
Unfortunately we are programmed from birth to behave the way we do - too much affection and gifts from men at a very early age. when we are ready for the harsh outside world, this becomes a desperate life of wanting what we have always had from other men even if it is only fleeting. Se.x is really not a factor. intimacy and affection is (and cash of course) wink
Christianity EtcRe: Re : A Christian Section by kokabiel(f): 8:57pm On Jul 24, 2012
Goshen360 and Frosbel - your concerns are well-placed but your reaction as well as subsequent actions are self-defeating. the purpose is lost - or derailed as you put it

1: The Gospel has not changed in content and purpose since the days of Jesus Christ - preaching it has and mostly negatively too (referring to our flim-flam televangelists and prosperity-scamming MOG) frankly, it has done far more damage to the cause than Atheists or non-believers can.
2: Discussing Scripture or Theological Points is a very self-nurturing exercise and beneficial to Christian Spiritual growth - This you can do by Clarifying common misconceptions and misinterpretations in Scripture

You can always tell when one is giving a honest opinion and when one is spoiling/baiting for a Fight. in most threads I see atheists commenting on with vitriol, you can see the uncharacteristic unchristian reaction the poster adopts. this is the reason for having your threads ultimately derailed. you let emotions get the better of you. If your post invites a discussion, who is to say that non-believers must stay away

Matthew 9:12-13 When Jesus heard that, He said to them, "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. {13} "But go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy and not sacrifice.' For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.
I think every poster has a responsibility to present a clear, unambiguous (no loose interpretations) position that he can defend or leave to the audience to make up their minds. Insults, Sarcasm and bias will only invite like behaviour - in the end, you become who you dislike.
Christianity EtcRe: Re : A Christian Section by kokabiel(f): 8:25pm On Jul 24, 2012
frosbel: On the contrary , I care not what you think , say or do in reference to Christianity. What perplexes me is how obsessed you and your cohorts are with religion , despite not believing in God, lol.

Reminds me of how Stalin and chairman Mao started out , first with a hatred of religion and then subsequent massacres of millions .

Same mindset.
That is absolutely hateful thinking - from your speech it seems you have an unhealthy obsession with Atheists and Religion.

Gal 5: 22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
PoliticsRe: Okada-men From Niger Republic A Security Risk To Nigeria? by kokabiel(f): 8:10pm On Jul 24, 2012
I just heard recently that the FG is working on a Foreign Policy Framework because we do not have once 50+ years after independence.
We must learn to tackle the disease rather than fight symptoms - I agree there is a growing possibility that Foreigners from neighboring Chad, Niger can pose a Security Threat - but is there a Good Security Framework in place to speak of. huh The Police Force and other Security Agencies have made it a rule not to invest in proper information gathering and it has shown up our Security lapses since 4 decades when religious conflicts reared its nasty political head.

A threat is a possibility - what are we doing about it, what can we do about it, what have we done about it

Christianity EtcRe: The Sun On The Cross: Astrononomy, Astrology And Religion by kokabiel(f): 7:18pm On Jul 24, 2012
mkmyers45: Its possible that they are purely meteorological or they can represent other things but i still insist that a higher level of astrology is woven into the church and practiced more than we realise....

Now, was Jesus just talking about reading the heavenly body for weather patterns? Possible.... Or for to be use to forestall things that will quake the heart of a man? Most Likely....
Astrology and the Bible right from Genesis to Revelation are one fabric with different patterns - some discerning Christians recognize this but cannot contemplate the consequences on their Faith, others simply ignore it as a tactic of SATAN to deceive Christians in the End times

One thankfully self-evident astrological stories is the star of Bethlehem. It is written that the star was a sign from God signaling the birth of the Messiah into the world. The three Persian astrologer-kings, determined the time of this birth by the position of this star.

Gen. 1:14-15 And God said, "Let there be lights in the expanse of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as SIGNS to mark seasons and days and years, and let them be lights in the expanse of the sky to give light on the Earth." And it was so."
Luke 21:25-27 And there shall be SIGNS in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the Earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the Earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory."
God's first words were from the Stars
Psalm 19:1-4 The HEAVENS declare the glory of God, and the firmament shows his handiwork. Day after day utters his speech and night after night shows his knowledge. There is no tongue or where their voice is not heard. Their line is gone out through all the Earth and their words to the ends of the world. In them the heavens he has set a tabernacle for the sun."
Job 38:32 "Can you bring forth the Mazzaroth The Constellations of the Zodiac. in their seasons or lead out the Bear with its cubs? The Big Dipper"
Astrology takes every 2,160 years as a new AGE to usher in a different sign of the the zodiac that comes into position to influence the Earth.

Astrology has influenced Scripture from the very BEGINING

Matt. 28:20 And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the AGE.
Matt. 12:32 Anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this AGE or in the AGE to come.
Matt. 13:39-40 The harvest is the end of the AGE, and the harvesters are angels. As the weeds are pulled up and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of the AGE.
Matt. 24:3 What will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the AGE?
Luke 18:29-30 No one who has left home or wife or brothers or parents or children for the sake of the kingdom of God will fail to receive many times as much in this AGE and, in the AGE to come, eternal life.
1 Cor. 10:11 These things happened to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us, on whom the fulfillment of the AGES has come.
Eph. 1:21 "[Christ was raised] far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present AGE but also in the one to come.
Heb. 9:26 Then Christ would have had to suffer many times since the creation of the world. But now he has appeared once for all at the AGE of the AGEs.
Rev. 15:3 Just and true are your ways, King of the AGES.
Christianity EtcRe: Re : A Christian Section by kokabiel(f): 6:45pm On Jul 24, 2012
You may try to concentrate on preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ rather than whine about how Seun is not letting you do otherwise.

There was a tiem i did a search for Jesus on Religion Section (wish Seun could put back that feature) and found it way below words like Pastor Chris, Daddy GO, TB Joshua was actually far less mentioned on the Religion section and close to Jesus Christ. sad so what are Christians really discussing when they are not slagging on non-christians.

Prayers, Hope, Sitting on the Fence or Joining them won't solve the problem. the Nigerian Government is for Everyone, That is what a Democracy is- not a few barely literate but highly corrupt and violent ingrates angry We need to break this cycle of corruption otherwise we will be here 15 years from now complaining about a 100yr old problem

Christianity EtcRe: Should Atheists Have Their Own Board? by kokabiel(f): 1:12pm On Jul 24, 2012
@OP. it seems you have an unhealthy obsession with proving Atheists wrong, from your past posts on the subject, it does not look like you are on a mission of salvation or redeeming the lost. While you cannot help but disagree with a group or its belief systems, you can agree with me that other groups have clear reservations about yours and some in particularly will give you cause for grave concerns.
Why not focus your (obviously) knowledgeable intellect at preaching the message of Salvation. These fights do not benefit you or the Christian fold.
This is however just my personal opinion, it does not have to count in your decisions. Shalom

Ezeufi: All the thieves in retardeen government have short, "responsible looking hair". All big time criminals of every political persuasion in nigeria have this short hair. Yet some goats relate responsibility of a man to the length of his hair. This intellectual lazyness of not being able to see the intrinsic nature of an individual's character, but summing them up by the external look of their appearances is another reason why this country is in the mess. I would rather trust a dreadlocked responsible person than a "responsible looking", short haired pastor.
Just how many intellectuals were you expecting to find on nairaland grin
