yes I did. Got to the hospital in the morning and met with the payment director and she took me to their women's health clinic. I got doctor's appointment on the spot and did all my medical test and they took me round for maternity tour. Very friendly hospital. But you pay 130 dollars to see the doctor for all those lab test etc.

@koko83 am also plannin on using wyckoff but ll be coming in nxt month. were u able to make it to wyckoff Hospital yesterday.tried sending u a Pm but nt goin

congrats Ewa. landed newyork yesterday and going to wucoff today. was your delivery at MMC normal or CS

ewa2014:
In the spirit of giving back, I had my baby some days ago in New York. I checked Wycoff, Queens Medical Center, kings county hospital Brooklyn, jamaica hospital, new York Hospital Queens but eventually settled with MMC (Mercy Medical Center) cos they had a straight forward pricing and honestly I got top notch satisfaction from the level of care I received.

Prenatal visits and care, tests, sonogram and delivery cost at the hospital's care center is 1100;
2 days hospital stay with sumptuous food (and a celebration dinner for the couple...LoL. let's just say I like food too much sha ) is 6000;
Epidural 1000.
Several tests and vaccines were administered during the 2 days stay and it's all inclusive in what you paid (tdap, hep B, hearing test, vit K, etc etc).
2 post partum visit for mother is also included but you pay 85 for pediatrician to see baby after discharge.

I got all my receipts and awaiting Zero balance letter.

BC and SSN is being processed by the hospital and I can start passport application afterwads.

All in all, fantastic hospital and experience.

And HONESTLY we need to start combing out new hospitals as well that will be beneficial to others too..

Please did you have to get a uk visa or transit to pass thru heathrow ans how was your experience at heathrow cos am also flying BA
princezino:
Hi All,
We arrived Dallas last week Friday on BA from LOS-LHR-DFW. POE was a breeze. With wifey and 2 kids. In reply to customary first question, replied that we were here for vacation and to have our baby. Asked if we had made prior medical arrangements, replied that we had contacted Docs, hospitals etc and that we had funds available to pay. Asked where I work.. Replied. End of story. Stamped in for 6 months. Wifey didn't even whisper a word... God is really awesome! In all the trip was exhausting but exhilarating. We declared food but bags weren't checked... those folks seemed quite bored that morning. We shuffled out and used the free shuttle to the Rental Centre to pick up our Rental. Within one hour we were on our way to Mesquite. (National will accept your Nigerian drivers license and Nigerian bank debit card. Just make sure you have your travel tickets printout available to show your outward travel date. Without a data plan, your smartphones Google maps will be useless for navigation. I had to rent a GPS device for $9/day.)

We had gotten a serviced aparthotel (2 BR with 2full bath + kitchenette). Free High speed internet, Cable, Telephone (local/US trunk) All bills inclusive, includes daily cleaning service with breakfast and 5-day dinner service. Laundry is coin-operated. All for $70/day longstay.. The place is a dream. Uber works very well in Dallas and nearby cities so movement wouldn't be hard for wifey.

Wifey's network directed us to a fantastic African/Nigerian shop in Garland. Well stocked with our peculiar delicacies.. even goat meat. enough palm oil, maggi, knorr and even Nigerian Peak powder.

Visited ObyGyn for first scheduled appointment. By the grace of God all is still okay. Now the wait begins for her. MIL arrives in a week.. then I can finally pass the baton and go back to rejoin the Lagos rat race till baby's grand entrance week. #SigningOut folks

Don't know about close to New York but in New York, I checked the following out "Kings County, Brooklyn, Queens Medical Center in Queens, Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, New York Hospital in Queens, I even went to wyckoff heights in Brooklyn and then finally settled for Mercy Medical Center in Long Island as their pricing was direct and straight forward (not so cheap but well, I have family less than 20mins to the hospital, so it was my best bet)

For c-section,just have well above 10k -12k dollars...

Most of the hospitals give discount for self paying patients...

Feel free to research on them.

All the best.
