Education / Re: Three ABSU Medical Students Die In A Ghastly Motor Accident by Kolenda(m): 3:22pm On Mar 22
This is very painful because they were coming back from the induction of their senior colleagues.
I was also coming back to Umuahia from Uturu and I passed the accident scene without know that the people involved were those that also went to the same induction with me.
I felt a sharp pain when I later realised that those involved in that accident were students of Absu

I went through the site, the UI is cool and fine but I need you to improve one UX aspect.
When you are using a carousel, you need to find a way to indicate how many slides are available in the carousel to improve user experience.

You don't expect users to keep scrolling without knowing when it will stop, many of them may lose interest in scrolling through at some point and then abandonedthe task but when they know how many slides are in there, they know what to expect.

This is why you need to understand basics of UI/UX as a developer.
Wow
Thanks for your input
I deeply appreciate it

Travel / Re: AMERICA: The Best Country In The World. by Kolenda(m): 7:20am On Dec 24, 2023
feelgoodstuffs:
I know majority of people here will be familiar with my moniker, sometimes early this year I shared my journey on Nairaland how I made it to the states, but the post was later taken down due to whatever reasons best known to the mod.

I am back here to give an update that life has been extremely wonderful, I am doing well, everything is working fine and I am getting there, I have my work authorization, my SSN, my state drivers license and to crown it all I just bought my dream car, (I financed it to build my credit) indeed ā€œAmerica is the best country in the worldā€

If you didnā€™t go to school and did not learn any hand-work you can still be earning and saving millions in naira monthly, it can only happen in America.

if you work hard in this country your chance of making it is 99.9% I can confidently tell you that, Iā€™ve seen a lot of guys here buying houses in less than 5 years they arrived, it is possible. I will go into more details later.

Now I just want to give back by blessing the first 10 people with 10k naira each for Christmas.

To qualify, you must have less than 10k in your bank account, take a screenshot of your balance, including your account details and Iā€™ll credit you with 10k.

Note: please we donā€™t want no spoiler here or bad belle, or negative energy, if youā€™re in America, the best you can do is share the good things about it.
I don't know if I came late but I wish this will get to me as it'll go a long way for me this period

Programming / Re: I Just Started My Web Development Company Without Any Experience by Kolenda(m): 7:59pm On Dec 22, 2023

I recently started my first web development company in Abuja. The name of the company is EasyWeb - https://easyweb.com.ng/. I couldn't find any jobs, but I saw a post about cold calling on Reddit, and I tried it; it really worked. I've gotten some high paying clients and reviews.

You can join if you want to. I already have some people I'm working with. If you're good in frontend design, just basic HTML, CSS and JS you can easily join us.
How do I reach you?

Programming / Appeal For A Mentor In The Field. by Kolenda(m): 5:49am On Dec 18, 2023
Bosses in the house, I won't call myself a beginner in programming but I am definitely not a professional. I have 1 year+ experience in coding.
I write HTML, CSS, bootstrap, JavaScript, and php. I know some other frontend framework like React.js and I just started getting familiar with Vue.js. I also write Laravel and I'm getting familiar with codeigniter.
I can also work with a team as I am very familiar with GitHub.
I have also worked on some real life website projects.
My goal for 2024 is to upskill to a professional level to be able to take up jobs.
Now this is my humble appeal. Please I'll be glad if I can get a professional software developer here to be my mentor. I need to be working on real life projects.
I will be performing tasks assigned to me free of charge.
I am ready to be under his/her wings.
Please if you're willing to take me up, this is my WhatsApp number: 07064816145.
Please other developers in the house, also drop some words of encouragement for me here.

Don't be scared even those that read courses outside business management succeeded. If you are looking at how voluminous the pack (ICAN Text) is, then you can't read it but try and attend tutorial class where those chapters in the park will be well summarized in class. Also make use of ICAN pathfinder because it will guide you on how ICAN pattern their questions as well as solutions to previous diet questions. Give yourself a target and be consistent with your time of reading. Most importantly ask the Holy Spirit for help and discernment.
Have you paid for exemption yet?
If yes then start tutorials immediately if no, go to any ICAN approved center in your location they will register you and get you started.
Good luck to you šŸ™
Thank you for your response. I'm just feeling uncertain. I have paid for the exemption. I guess I just have to start tutorials just so I'll be in the midst of like-minds

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: I Am Sending 10,000 Naira To An Anonymous Nigerian Every Week. by Kolenda(m): 6:53pm On Jul 26, 2023
shine12:
I have created this post to start an initiative of offering assistance to individuals who are unknown to me. Every week, I aim to send 10,000 Naira to a Nigerian stranger(I will pick an account number at random if there is more than one), as I understand the challenging situation in Nigeria. This small gesture is my way of giving back to my country, even though I am currently living abroad. I have the means to consistently afford this amount, even when facing unpaid bills, as it is less than Ā£10.

Most of my siblings are also living outside Nigeria, and through this initiative, I hope to extend a helping hand to those in need back home. I find fulfillment in anonymous giving, acts that only God recognizes and rewards.

Through this platform, I wish to continue being a blessing, in my own small way, to any Nigerian in need, regardless of tribe, language, or religion. I am not seeking any personal information from anyone, nor do I want this page to be a platform for scams. Only post an account number or send your account number as a DM. Once you receive the alert, come back here to mention the alert received so I am sure you have the funds.

My desire is to offer genuine help and support to fellow Nigerians, spreading a spirit of compassion and unity. Together, we can make a difference and alleviate the burdens faced by those less fortunate in our beloved country.

Let us come together and embrace the joy of giving without expecting anything in return. May we all find ways, no matter how small, to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

Whoever is close to the Celine Dion should tell her to come down to Nigeria.
There is a GOD that does the impossible right here.
There is a GOD that saves, Heals and Delivers no matter what the doctor says.

Tell her to come down to the GOD of CHOSEN here in Lagos, Nigeria. She will be made whole.

It is not a brag, it is a Fact!
What the GOD of CHOSEN cannot do, Does not Exist.
You're so funny. So where she is, there's no God?

I am inspired to do this because I have met alot of people who finds it very difficult to feed. How can I contribute my own quota to the society and extend hand of help to those who are far? This is the means to reach out to the needy.

I will be giving N2000 to each person who's in need and shows interest. Please note that this giveaway is strictly limited to the ones who can't feed themselves regularly. Also note that I can't give you more than N2000 regardless of your financial challenges. Also note that you may not get it immediately I get to hear from you.
