They will tell ur brother they are into selling of jewelries or other things and will brainwash him to join
It's more of a referral stuff and once u don't refer people to pay that same 480k,u won't be paid
U must bring atleast two people in other to be paid

I coursemate in the uni led me on for almost 2 months with the promise of giving me same type of job, though in Port Harcourt. Honestly. After the whole charade, my brother now asked his friend why he didn't inform him of the payment beforehand allowing him to travel all the way down to Lagos. The friend was now insisting that he told my brother about the payment.
I don't know whether my brother is now deaf that he won't hear when his friend talked about payment before getting the slot

Payment to secure a job has been going on for long in Nigeria. I remember way back when a VC of a federal university made available more than 100 vacant position for applicant to apply in the university but the downside of the vacant job is that you'll have to pay as low as 200k to secure a slot.

I feel your brother's pain, in no time he will get a job and also he should be mindful of the kind of jobs he applies for because we have alot of scam organizations that are disguised to be a legit organization but they are out to scam people.

I'm just surprised because this is coming from his friend.

I just feel so bad for my elder bro who has been underemployed since he finished his service year.

Our joy knew no bounds when he called and informed everyone in the family that he will be going to Lagos for a job interview.

What actually happened was that a friend of his contacted him about an opening in their company.

The friend works with one QI group of companies.

The QI group of companies is supposed to be an international organizations that pays in dollars.

So my elder brother left Owerri to Lagos on a night bus yesterday. He was well received by his friend and according to him, he did the interview with some representatives of the company.

After the interview, he was asked to pay a whopping sum of 480k for the slot.

My questions now are: how and where will an unemployed get money to pay for a job slot?

If someone can be able to make 480k, why will the person be job hunting?

Is QI group of companies even legit or a scam?
Why can't the government really regulate all these thing?

This county na man chop man...
Now my brother has left Lagos for Owerri this night.

I can't imagine what he's going through. The financial stress, the emotional stress, the psychological stress and what have you.

A friend I hold in high regard introduced me to this stuff. I just told him I'll go through the videos he sent to me and all that shit... I never did download the video not to talk of watching it.

I am commenting because I want to make an input from my experience. God has at least blessed you with a monthly job of 52k. But you've got to accept reality and plan your life around the 52k.
I was just 7 when my dad died, my two elder bros were just 11 and my last sis was just 3. It was just my mom. She had to combine farming and with her job the that wasn't paying more than 25k then. We were practically eating everything from our farm produce. I wish I can explain more. We were trained through the university and trust me, my mom was able to save up and we attended the best schools while growing up.
But op, have in mind that it's just the 52k and cut down expenses. You mustn't be living the modern life. You mustn't live in the best flat. Just accept reality. Trust me, you and your kids will be fine.
