Abeg441:Yes, I did with Covid 19 cert |
dealhunter:I didn’t write any test or English test. All I had was my olevel results, bsc, motivational letter and reference letter. And I paid for the application fee which was 105 Canadian dollar |
Benresmy:Yes, it was my first |
sammirano:It sounds like joke but it’s not. I used to think it was a disease related to Hiv. |
Benresmy:I applied on April 29 and it was granted on September 21 |
xrismuove:Ok. I will chat you |
utepu:I believe I should reply here so that others in your similar shoe can learn. So I apply for the school through someone I know. He was the one who told me about the school. Looking at the application, it does not like something I could not do myself but I allowed him to because he was not charging me. About the visa, I did everything myself from top to bottom |
It was a promise I made within myself that I would share my story once my visa was granted because Nairaland gave me clue and hope during my visa travails. After securing admission for masters and paying the necessary tuition fee, I applied for visa. One month after applying for visa, I received a medical request email from IRCC. I went to IOM Abuja for the medical test, that was when my travails began. After the test, I was told they suspected I had Tuberculosis, so I had to undergo something called culture test. That was my first time hearing tuberculosis, I searched those that had similar problems on Nairaland, I saw that 95% of those who were told had this disease at IOM later came out negative after the so called culture test. I ran a culture test at IOM for three days, I was told the test result would take 8 weeks (2 months) before it could come out. After a deafening silence for good 2 months, I received an email from IOM that my tuberculosis test came out negative, and I was told to come back one month later for a redo X-ray (everything making 3 months). I wasn’t even happy because in my mind I just said this people just wasted my 3 months for nothing because I knew from the start that I had no tuberculosis. I just had to defer my semester because it was already September. On September 8, I went for the redo X-ray scan. On 16th September, I received a passport request. On September 19th I submitted my passport. And on September 21, I was sent an SMS that my passport is ready for collection which I collected same day with my visa on it Good luck to everyone applying |
1Alex:With visa lol. I have modified |

Last month I read a thread here on nairaland about the benefits of sperm retention. Has anyone tried it without have wet dreams? |
I am in a dilemma or even trilemma whether to my masters in Nigeria, Europe or South Africa. Now, this is where the trilemma come in. If I do my masters in Nigeria, I will be on scholarship; the scholarship covers only tuition fee, the tuition fee is #2.5 million per session, maybe I will be allowed to work in the University while studying, I don't know, and the program will start in September. Also, I applied to a school in the Czech Republic, and I have been given admission, but not on scholarship, the school fees is 3000 Euros per year, the program will probably start this September or January next year, while in South Africa, a lecturer has encouraged me to apply to a university in South Africa, and he assured me that I would be on scholarship, which I have done but the scholarship result is not yet out, if I am admitted, the program will start in February next year. The scholarship covers tuition fees, accommodation, monthly stipends and meal tickets. Now, I am confused about the steps to take. Note: the purpose of my wanting to do my masters is for me to have a better life. |
Wow |
merieam16:Can you give me a reason for saying that? |
annex1:Thanks for your inputs, the Nigerian scholarship covers tuition fee only which is #2.5million maybe with the option to work in the university, I am not sure. The Czech, I will have to pay for everything while in South Africa, I will be on full scholarship which covers tuition, accommodation, monthly stipends and meal tickets. Note: both Nigerian and Czech are starting in September this year while South Africa in February next year |
Amanee:Can you tell me why, please |

Since, we are in the era of posting our Alma mater, I think it is now imperative to post this unique university of mine; Nile University of Nigeria. Nile University of Nigeria is a private university situated in Abuja, it was established in 2009, and has produced seven sets of graduates. The university has more than 300 hundred classrooms, 4 student's hostels, 6 faculties, offers both undergraduate and post graduates programs. I will be posting pictures of this great university. Like and comment. The first picture is the University's main building, it houses Faculty of Arts; Social Science; Engineering; and Sciences. The second picture is the football field. The third picture is the science lab. The fourth pic is the computer science department. Modified: I could read some people typing "is that all". There are many edifices not posted here, the ones I posted were the ones my phone camera could get accessed to. You can take a visit to the university to see a world class university with state of the art facilities
