RGRNetwork: If you know what is hood for you, leave nigeria now. Don't let anyone discourage you. You and your wife can be working while your kids enjoy government benefits. Nigeria is getting worse everyday. What if your company sack you tomorrow? No masters, no japa and no salary. If you don't leave the country, you will live to regret it for tomorrow. They are clapping because you are earning 1.2m monthly after expenses how much will remain?
Fuel Nepa Foods Children school tips etc. Before month end you will have 300k left.
If you and your wife and are working and earning 2k pounds respectively, that's over 8 million naira. One person salary can pay house rent while the other goes for savings and othe stuffs. Those saying your wife will leave you are foolish and single people. If your marriage is built on a solid foundation, nothing will crash it.
I use to work as professional video editor and web developer while in Nigeria I was earning well until I and my family relocated to Austria through study route. The story is nothing compared to Nigeria. The benefits and standard of living will make you cry for not have been abroad all your life.
My advice is if you have the funds to move your family please do it. Politicians have billions but their families are living abroad. You thing they are foolish,?
Nwanne biko japa for the sake of your kids and future ones. Don't let people's jealousy and wickedness pin you down in Nigeria else regret will be your name. Wow. Well detailed and in contrast. |

Helpout12345: He will be one of the stupids to leave a job paying him 1.2m per month to japa through student route.
Even if he must japa, he should use Permanent residency route of Canada, Australia or the US.
He also should know that he will start afresh in the destination country and there is more than 60pct chance that his wife will divorce him once family financials change in the destination country.

Laird: If he himself is travelling to study an in s Demand course that he can easily get work permit sponsorship after he finishes rhe program. He can go for it
He has to be sure He can do the course I advice he goes alone and brings his family after stabilizing.and getting his work permit.
If he goes, He might need to do a course (one of those hard to fill jobs in the target country that attracts work sponsorship after graduation ) The course mght not be his passion but it may be the sacrifice he has to decide to make for.migration which is becoming tighter for Africans
He hast o focus extra hard and study extra hard to achieve this
But travelling to study a not in demand course is a waste of Money because after everything spent on fees and upkeep, he might not see a corporate job and might still end up doing odd jobs) Thank you. He said he has admission to study Masters in research Artificial Intelligence. |

Hello travelanders.
A friend met me for advise so I decided to bring his story here for a more broader thoughts from especially the experienced amongst us.
He works in Nigeria with a salary of about 600k monthly, he was able to raise 50m for japa which will cost him and his family about 36m to UK on study route.
Due to the current inflation, his office did a 100% salary increment making him to earn 1.2m monthly net.
His confusion now is, should he still japa or remain in Nigeria now his salary has improved?
@Justwise @nlfpmod, pls help for a broader view. |
