kay29000: If one is on bail in tune of 300m, its just an undertaking made by a surety dat if he/they fail to produce a suspect in court whenever he's need, then, they'll have to pay the 300m bail agreement...and a surety is also to deposit in cash any amount that's been prescribed by the court and documents of his properties if need be b4 the accused is released on bail...though, a surety can decide to opt out of the agreement anytime he feels the accuse wud sabotage the bail conditions and his money and property be returned back to him. |

Oil prices have fallen below $30 a barrel, a new 12-year low, amid renewed concerns of slow growth in China - the world's second largest economy. The oil price had briefly fallen below $30 previously on Tuesday. On Friday, US crude futures were 5.45 percent lower at $29.50 per barrel, while the March Brent contract was down 4.4 percent at $29.52 a barrel. Global markets sank on Friday after China's Shanghai stock index dropped to its lowest level in more than one year. The Shanghai Composite Index finished at 2,900.97, down 3.6 percent, its lowest close since December 8, 2014. China's official Xinhua News Agency reported that banks' new yuan loans during the last month fell compared with a year earlier, in a sign that momentum for the credit that fuels economic growth was slowing. Hong Kong's benchmark stock index closed at its lowest level in nearly three and a half years on Friday. Al Jazeera's Rob McBride, reporting from Hong Kong, said: "The bears are predicting that it could in fact still fall further." Our correspondent added that China GDP figures for the last quarter of 2015 are likely to show a slowdown. "The big question for [Chinese] authorities is, will they allow that slowing process a soft landing or a hard one? On evidence from the past couple of weeks, things are starting to feel very bumpy right now." 'Deeply oversold' In response to plummeting oil prices, several Gulf Arab states have reduced fuel subsidies. Wall Street also sank on Friday morning, with the Nasdaq hitting its lowest since August 24 and the Dow plunging nearly 400 points, as oil prices dived. "Oil is deeply oversold. The stock market is deeply oversold. The inability for the market to rally from deeply oversold conditions clearly tells you how weak the market is," said Adam Sarhan, chief executive of Sarhan Capital in New York. Federal Reserve policymakers have hinted at slowing the rate hike programme should the economy not show signs of stability. New York Fed President William Dudley said on Friday that lower oil prices and a stronger dollar have raised the risk of US inflation expectations heading lower, hurting chances of actual inflation reaching the central bank's 2 percent goal. Every 80s and 90s kid who went to a Nigerian school must have come across this excercise book at some point. Matter of fact, it was a symbol of literacy. Who was the famous person on the 2B Notebooks? His name is Emmanuel Arinze Ifeajuna (1935–25 September 1967). He was a Nigerian army major and high jumper. He was the first Black African to win a gold medal at an international sports event when he won at the 1954 British Empire and Commonwealth Games. His winning mark and personal best of 6 ft 8 in (2.03 m) was a games record and a British Empire record at the time. He was a science graduate of the University College of Ibadan. He was a conspirator and participant in the failed 1966 Nigerian coup d’état. He later returned to action in the Nigerian Civil War, fighting for Biafra, but was executed following a plot to agree a ceasefire with Nigeria and overthrow Emeka Ojukwu. Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Brigadier General Lawal Jafaru Isa (rtd) has returned N100m out of the N160m he received from the former National Security Adviser, Colonel Sambo Dasuki, his aide has said. Isa who is the political associate of President Muhammadu Buhari was arrested last Wednesday by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over stolen funds traced to his account. It was gathered that Isa who is the first member of the ruling APC to be fingered in Dasuki saga returned N100m on Friday via a UBA account. One of his aides said the former military administrator of Kaduna state raised the draft and tendered it to the EFCC officials in Abuja. He said the former Governor who was the Kano State flag bearer of the defunct Congress for Progressives Change(CPC) in 2011 elections pledged to return the balance of N60m as soon as possible. "General raised a draft of N100m of UBA as part of the N160m he collected from Dasuki, his long time friend. He would soon return the balance of N60m. " He returned the money when he was told that that money given to him by Dasuki to buy a house for him in Kano was a stolen money, " he said insisting that his boss did not know that the money was not Dasuki's personal fund. He said General Isa couldn't have thought that the money was stolen since it was given to him in piecemeal. "It was when Dasuki was planning to take a new wife that he asked his friend, General Isa to get him a befitting house in Kano. He had planned to keep the wife in Kano. The N160m was sent to Oga's account in piecemeal spanning 15 months. " It was because of the way Dasuki was sending the money that the House onwers felt he was not serious and they sold it to somebody else. Also, he didn't marry the lady again " he said. He said no condition was attached to the release of his boss as he cooperated with the anti corruption agency. http://www.dailytrust.com.ng/news/general/apc-chieftain-jafaru-isa-returns-n100m-collected-from-dasuki/128229.html#WVXSQTsvPXZ5uJu2.99
