Politics / No Borno LGA Is Under Boko Haram Control – Shettima by Konpresor012(m): 9:40pm On Feb 08, 2016
Borno State government on Monday denied reports that some local council areas in the state are still under Boko Haram control.

Governor Kashim Shettima, who reacted to weekend’s claims by a senator that the insurgents are still in control of more than half of the state, told reporters to dismiss the lawmaker’s claim.

He said, “To me, it is unbelievable that such a statement could have emanated from Senator Baba Kaka Bashir Garbai. I can’t believe he said that because as a Senator, he has access to the Chief of Defence Staff, the Chief of Army Staff, the IGP and even the Presidency and he is not the type that even speaks to the media easily. So this is why I am at a lost.

“I have not been able to get in touch with him yet to get his own side, to hear from him what he actually said. But for now, I suspect he must have been misquoted or if he wasn’t misquoted, he must have spoken based on emotional outburst ‎and not anchored on ground realities.”

They jacked it up because they knew they were dealing with an illiterate president, a man who failed woefully in Maths, a man with NEPA bill as certificate.
In future, presidential candidates should be disqualified if they fail to show up for debates, Buhari's incompetence would have been laid bare if he had debated.

We're now saddled for the next 4yrs with this man who wouldn't pass an interview for a job as taxi driver in the US.

I was going through my Facebook timeline and ran into this video of President Muhammadu Buhari addressing Nigerians living in the United Kingdom after the supporting syria Conference in London, according to President Muhammadu Buhari, he claimed that during the former government NNPC had 40 bank accounts, Nigerian Army had over 70 accounts and CBN directors short-changing Nigeria through forex

Highlights
* NNPC had 40 bank accounts!
* Nigerian Army had over 70 accounts!
* 2.2 trillion recovered just because of TSA.
* CBN directors short-changing Nigeria through forex...

Nairalanders what's your take on this?

TSA: We realised N2.2trn in 3 months – Buhari

PRESIDENT Mu-hammadu Buhari has revealed that his administration has within three months saved N2.2 trillion for the nation through the enforcement of the Treasury Single Account, TSA. The president made the revelation in London during a meeting with Nigerians resident in the city on Thursday night. President Buhari who was in the United Kingdom for the Supporting Syria and the Region Conference in London, British capital was speaking of the problems bedevilling the oil and gas sector of the economy which he said were part of the challenges he inherited upon an assumption of office.

PRESIDENT MUHAMMADU BUHARI
According to him, the Nigerian National Petroleum Cooperation, NNPC had over 45 accounts scattered in different banks. The same situation, the president said, was also pervasive across the branches of the military. He said: “We are really in trouble. What we discovered was that we tried to enforce what we called treasury single account, TSA. And the reason was simple. This government did not initiate it. It was the previous government. But it was so unpopular to the bureaucracy and the previous government for its own reasons couldn’t enforce it. But when we came and found that we were broke, we said this is the way to do it. And I will just tell you two examples to convince you.

“First, NNPC, the cow that was giving the milk had more than 45 accounts, ministry of defense, that is the military Army, Navy and air force had over 70 accounts. Tell me which account we can trace in these several accounts. So we enforce TSA. We said there must be TSA. “By the end of December, coming to January this year, that is last month, we mopped up more than N2.2trn which we have used through the bureaucracy system to raise vouchers and sign cheques so that they don’t go into the next budget.”

Speaking further on the state of the economy, the president revealed that some Nigerians were behind the crisis. The president stated that most directors of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN owned and operated some of the Bureau De Change outfits through which they raked in the foreign exchanges. He said he was determined to stop the ill development and make every Nigerian accountable.

“We found out, when I say we, I mean present federal government, that some of the directors in the central bank own the bureau de change businesses. So when the foreign exchange comes, they take it and give government the change. So we stopped the Federal Government giving bureau de change foreign exchange. “Fellow country men and women, I am giving you a tip of the iceberg of the problem we inherited and we are getting so hard because we have no other way of running the country unless we make everybody accountable”, he said.

While underscoring the importance of education, president Buhari asked the audience to support his administration by educating their children for a better future. On giving diaspora Nigerians a chance to participate in elections, president Buhari said his government was studying the scenario, stressing that what was utmost was to make the process more credible. “We are critically looking at the system itself. We must make sure that the election process itself is credible”, he said.

Op we have iOS gurus in this house ooo, first lemme start to introduce myself as iOS developer in profession.

1. Price:

You made mention of price, this one I will not argue because iPhone is meant for big people

2. Lack Of Total Customization:

Who told you iOS lack of total customization? Do know I can customize the theme of iOS device into that of android? As far as your device is jailbkroken you can customize your iDevice the way you want it --------FALSE:

3. Few Free Browsing Cheats To Tweak:[/b

Yes you're right, iOS has less free browsing tweak because it IMEI can't be changed. But come to think of this dude, iOS encrypt IMEI for our own safety. For example, if someone stole/lost my iPhone I can easily locate and retrieve it using IMEI, and if the person that stole your iPhone is in a unknown location, you can easily format your iPhone in other not to have access to some of your important informations. Or u can easily lock the iPhone, it will become useless to him. Reserve the case for android, when someone stole your android phone and changes the IMEI, then that is it.

[b]4. Fear Of Men Of The Underworld:

It can happen to any phone brand, I don't know what you're talking here :/ -----FALSE

5. No Freedom To Install Apps:

As I said earlier, once you jailbreak your iDevice, there's nothing you can't do with it. Those app you mentioned tell me what they do and I will tell you a tweak in cydia that does the same, and you made mentioned of paid app, they are so many cracked app that enables you to download paid apps for free, eg AppCake ------ FALSE:

6. Inability To Download Stuffs From Other Sources.

Very very very untrue, who told you you can't download stuffs from unknown resources? I can mention more than 10 AppStore app that enables you to download everything you see on Internet, eg, iDownloader, Download HD, TDownloader, etc ------ FALSE:

7. Inability To Transfer Files:

OP who told you that you cant transfer stuffs from iDevice to other phones? We have xender in the AppStore and there is a tweak that enables you transfer files through Bluetooth ------FALSE

Conclusion: OP you just created this thread base on your ignorance for iOS.
Cc; mods, Lalasticlala take note, I may create a thread to counter this thread, we the iPhone users we cant just sit and watch android users spreading lies on us.

Travel / The Nigeria Immigration Deports 6 British Citizens by Konpresor012(m): 6:48am On Feb 04, 2016
The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has deported 6 British citizens for violation of immigration law.
This was revealed to newsmen by the Comptroller-General of the NIS, Mr. Martins Kure-Abeshi, in a meeting with the House of Representatives Committee on Interior.
Abeshi said “I just arrived from abroad on Monday and met this case.
“As I am talking, on Monday in the evening, the company that employed those expatriates, after my discussion with them, they are to be responsible for their air tickets.
“As I am talking now, I am sure they have been flown out.”
Adding that “It is against the law of the land. So their first employer complained about these expatriates, so it is an offence they have committed and we have ordered their deportation.
“When we conduct our operation and discover that someone who is not a Nigerian is living in this country illegally, he will be repatriated. That is on our own part, they have to go.”
“There is another another angle to it. If he is a worker, working in a company and we discover that he does not have papers to stay in this country, he has committed an offence against the state, the company that the expatriate is working will give us money, buy ticket or whatever is their responsibility.
“Before anybody takes an appointment here as an expatriate, the organisation will write to immigration that they are taking immigration responsibility for that expatriate.
“If that expatriate commits any offence against the company and they want to remove him, that company must provide ticket so that the person is removed from this country,” the NIS boss said.
The NIS boss was at the National Assembly to defend the 2016 budget estimate of the agency.

Politics / Nigeria Will Emerge A Very Powerful Country Under Buhari – Italian PM by Konpresor012(m): 10:27pm On Feb 02, 2016
Italian government has expressed the conviction that Nigeria will emerge one of the most powerful countries of the world under the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi spoke to State House correspondents today after meeting behind closed-doors with Buhari at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja.

The Italian prime minister emphasised that President Buhari's leadership was important to Italy.
Renzi said Italy was in total support of the ongoing anti-corruption war of President Buhari's government.
Describing Nigeria as a very important partner of Italy in Africa, Renzi also expressed his country support to Nigeria in the fight against terrorism.
The Italian leader called on the international community to consider Africa as priority in the fight against terrorism.
Renzi said he and Buhari discussed how to foster both country's cooperation in the areas of security, energy, infrastructure, agriculture and small and medium enterprise.
President Buhari listed issues discussed with Renzi as including the development of petroleum resources as well as training equipping of security forces
Buhari added: "We discussed agriculture which is one of the areas we identified that will be a priority in face of dwindling oil prices.

Crime / Ramalan Yero And The Boy With Removed Eyes (Pics) by Konpresor012(m): 9:14am On Feb 02, 2016
Ex Gov. Of Kaduna State Dr. Ramalan Yero Visited The Boy Whose Eyes Were Removed

Dr. Mukhtar Ramalan Yero In his usual way of sympathizing with people, Dallatu, personally visited the eye victim in Shika. He sympathized with the parents and pledged to render any support needed for the well being of this boy. He also supported them with an undisclosed amount during his visit.

This this what I call a true compassion, From his Royal Highness Emir of Zazzau to the State Governor to Senetor Shehu Sani to other individuals and groups and now Ramalan Yero.

I will like to use this medium to call on the government In order to prevent future occurrence of this tragic incidence, I wish to call on the State Government to intensify security in the locality and other places vulnerable of such happenings. This can only be done in conjunction with our Royal fathers who are closer to the community. There should be synergy between State Government and Emirates. This will enable the government keep clear picture of security situations deep inside localities. The District Heads (Hakimai), Village Heads (Dagatai) and Mayors (Masu Unguwanni) have key and important roles to play in identifying who lives where and identifying suspicious individual.
