BusinessRe: Ekiti Oba Slashes Food Prices, Bans Traders’ Associations by koolbreeze55: 11:26am On Aug 13, 2024
Thank you kabiyesi!

Ekiti residents understand exactly how costly living is over there.

Walahi that shit hole is more expensive than staying in Lagos.

It's the most expensive state and emptiest in southwest.

The people live on fast lane because of escalated cost of living.

Insecurity has been at it's peak in the past months with people robbing and killing anyhow in ado.

Abeg something needs to be urgently done in that hole.

I commend the oba on this.

TravelMoving From Uk To Finland by koolbreeze55(op): 6:51pm On Mar 26, 2024
Good evening,

Considering the pace with which uk updates their policies which has left lots of students completely cut off from their immediate family (dependants not being able to join them, just one dependant,a minor).

It is evident that with current policies, students can only complete their studies and return to their home country unless they want to remain apart.

Now my question is,those who are unable to bring their dependants as a result of these policies, what's the way forward for them, especially when they do not want to return to naija.

Second question,is it advisable to leave the uk to Finland just cuz you want to be with your family.

Finally, which other countries can one move to from the uk that will allow for family reunification.

Thanks

Happy Xmas

Honestly my brother, same thing happened to me though mine is 3 years but fortunately for me it was last month that I stumbled upon my own luck by coming in contact with a fellow Nairalander that showed me a method I use today that pays me 7k daily without stress.
If 7k daily is not too small for you then contact me I will teach you the method for free and the good part of it is that you don't have to spend a dime to start.

Merry Xmas Nl family.

I have read where lots of forumites have come out to testify of how Nl has helped change their stories in different ways.

Some got nice jobs, some : got investment opportunities, met their partners, others got biz mentors and finally broke even!

Well,I have been here since 2007,that year I read about Nl on success digest and came in search of a training link as to how to make money online.

People, since 07 to date I still haven't found one legit link, even though I had spent so much buying materials and trainings.

This is my humble request, can anyone mentor me on just one skill with which I can get a remote job to support my faworaja bank job as ends no dey gree meet again despite the seeming relatively high income.

Na beg I dey beg una, this year,my finances really dey somehow,I go pay if I get a legit link.

Thanks and merry Xmas to everyone!

In addition to what I have said, a toxic woman will always be a toxic woman. Her family disowned her, you accepted her, yet she has never given you peace. Still you allow her to manipulate you.

The feminists here see her as one of them. They are even calling her a fighter and a strong woman as she is about to destroy another man. I know many of them here on Nairaland. They are men haters.

Let her go with the baby and weather the storm if she is indeed a strong woman. If she abandons the child for you, your name is premium sorry. These types of women will still find a way of blaming you for their actions. And what will you do if she returns after 15 years and tells you the child is not yours?

Also remember that you are not married. There should be a limit to the sacrifices you make for her. Let her face her demons.
I really appreciate you sir

wink

Why would she retrieve her fee cos of your word.

I av a friend that put her baby in a motherless babies home cos she don't have a family to put her with when she wanted to travel abroad. And she do send things to her from time to time.

I even go there to check on the child.

This is probably the first time her life has changed for the good, and your first thought was to be the devil. It didn't occur to you that the baby and her halted life was the reason for the resentment towards you?
She probably warned you about going in raw, but you no gree. 😁
Devil,how?
FamilyRe: Should She Forfeit Her Uk Admission? by koolbreeze55(op): 5:48pm On Aug 13, 2023
mrrandomguy:
Let her forfeit the admission in that case. UK admission is not difficult to get like European and American ones.
When the child is grown up a bit with some level of independence, she can reapply, even you can join her. Don't let her drop the baby for you under any guise.

Also try and formalise your relationship within this period if you think you can live with her your entire life.

And don't take any advice from Nairaland feminists like the one who quoted me. Their goal is to turn men into women so that women can escape their natural and biological roles. They are already telling you to take off your trousers and put on skirt and bra in the name of taking care of your baby.
Thanks, she sees this as her only chance as policies keep changing by the day.

She was cruel, formalizing the relationship is somewhat scary,am not moved by the uk thing, though she has apologized, but I want to still watch how things play out

You have not had peace with this lady in a long while.
I am sure at some time you prayed to God to release you from everyday quarrel and strife.
Now God is taking her far, far away so both of you can have your peace.
Has the prayer not been answered?
You must not marry someone because you had a baby with them. Peace is priceless
Go your way with the kid, let her go away: the child will search for her later.
Thanks, she says the baby and I could join her after 3montths and wanted me to have court marriage for documentation which I declined.
She still went ahead to add my and the baby as her dependants

Don't you or the lady have any family member...

Since the kid in question is a girl child iwould never advice that the girl be in your custody, while her mum is away(don't blame my trust issues)

Just try to reason with any of your family members
Your sister
Your mum
Your aunts

Just promise to always send em the kid's upkeep
Ok, thanks

Why can't she travel with the baby? Let her travel with her.
Something tells me she will abandon the child if she leaves without her, and that she will dump your sorry ass when she gets to the UK.

Don't be a SIMP a third time.
Thanks sir,

I feel so too,but she says she won't be able to work and support herself in the uk if she goes with the baby.

I'm thinking your options are;

1. You can take the baby and hire an older, matureand responsible nanny to help you care for her. I want to believe you have a steady and reliable source of income to provide for your daughter and pay a good wage to the nanny.

2. Ask your baby mama to cancel the admission for now, recall the fees and pursue this dream of further education at a later time for the sake of the young child. This sort of feels selfish on your part if you do.......but if you go with this option you need to be more hands on in the care of your child and support her educational moves later when it comes up again.

I can't see a third, fourth or more options for you but wait to for other people's thoughts on your situation.

Thanks sir/madam

Sure I have a fairly good job but she says naija is already scary and won't want to miss this opportunity of moving and relocating me and the baby later if I agree

Notice how you claim "she gave birth to a baby girl last January", instead of admitting you fathered a baby!

What makes you think you can tell her what to do?

Can't you take care of the baby girl she gave birth to?

She needs my opinion cuz am still single and she has already apologized and wants me to return to the house(my House)so we can restrategize

I can,but don't know how to go about it,she's under 2

Well, maybe I didn't put that well, she's my baby and am fully responsible
