If most people who follow Lere Olayinka today knows his antecedents, nobody would take him serious. His flip-flop is worse than that of FFK. Once you can give him food, he would sing your praises. He started out as an anti-Fayose and anti-PDP campaigner alongside Morakinyo Ogele between 2003 and 2006. After Fayose's impeachment, he joined Segun Oni to decamp to PDP and Oni gave him his first political appointment. After Oni was booted out, he supported Dayo Adeyeye in his failed bid to be governor in 2014 and that was when he made the negative statement above against Fayose. He switched side again immediately Adeyeye lost the primary and pledged loyalty to Fayose. Since then, he has been Fayose's attack dog.

PMB should equally reflects that diversity in manner, policies and in his body languages. It is not good that as a President of a heterogenous country he is seeing as always dressing in FULANI /HAUSA ATTIRE.

If you had taken the time to read the entire article you would see that;
1. This is no apologist piece for the President
2. It points out the process of decay that sets into every administration
3. He says this decay is a far more potent danger than federal balance. In his view what good is federal balance if it's output is mediocre?
4. He blames this on the existence of a class of political opportunists who infiltrate every government for their own ends
5. He submits that the sum total of such interference is to distance the President from the reality of what ordinary Nigerians are facing. He uses PMB's Ramadan outings as a case in point.

This is a powerful critique of both the Presidency as well as the system that surrounds it. If in these five summary points, all you and several of the other commentators lining up behind you see, is ethnic balancing then Nigeria has either spawned a generation tied to the mid riff of ethnic affiliation over excellence or one that does not read well.

Not a big fan of Dele but this is a great piece and one the President needs to take good note of, lest it be said of Nigeria " no matter how things change, things always remain the same"
