Politics / Re: Petrol: Oil Marketers Propose N550/litre Price To Dangote by KORLAR(m): 1:09pm On Apr 08 |
eddyline: There will. Independent marketers get it at 640 from depot owners who get it at 555 from Nnpc. I believe that if independent marketers get it at 550 from Dangote rather that 640 from depot owners, it’d retail for lower than it presently is. |
Business / Re: External Reserves Drop By $950m In 17 Days — CBN Report by KORLAR(m): 12:51pm On Apr 08 |
rinzaugustine: Shut up. Do you know more than the IMF? The International Monetary Fund recently projected that Nigeria’s foreign reserve would experience a significant reduction, plummeting to $24bn by 2024. The IMF foresaw a challenging period for Nigeria’s financial account through 2024–25, driven by the absence of new Eurobond issuances, substantial repayments of existing funds and Eurobonds totalling $3.5bn, and continued portfolio outflows. |

Business / Re: Why Naira Will Continue To Appreciate by KORLAR(m): 5:25pm On Mar 27 |
jetwonder: This is normal in the meantime. People are still selling the stock they got when dollar rates were high. With time, market forces would stabilize it. |

Foreign Affairs / Re: Trump Says Israel Made ‘very Big Mistake’ With Gaza Destruction by KORLAR(m): 3:05pm On Mar 26 |
123yes: Y’all act like this thing started on Oct 7. Israel has been bullying the people of Gaza on their own turf for years. Numerous videos of them laying siege on them and even going as far as assaulting them in their mosques during worship but the western propaganda machine would have you believe it started on October 7 Most people that support/supported Israel do so on the basis of religion forgetting that not only Muslims live in Gaza. A lot of supporters of these atrocities have now rescinded their support because social media has exposed Israel’s propaganda for what it is. I hope you see same too. |

Politics / Re: Those Who Allege Budget Padding Didn’t Understand The Arithmetic - Tinubu by KORLAR(m): 11:27am On Mar 22 |
Ofunaofu: Yes, because Peter was reeling out pointless and erroneous statistics, including his baseless requirement of 25% in the FCT, that barely had anything to do with Nigerians. Tinubu spoke the language the people understand and now he’s president, while statistics man is counting is losses. 1 Like 1 Share |
Politics / Re: Budget Padding: N47.5 Billion For Rehabilitation Of 50 Schools Without Location by KORLAR(m): 10:14pm On Mar 19 |
Racoon: This is what I expected Ningi to point out rather than calling the review of the budget, padding. So many line by line discrepancies in the budget. I just hope someone finds the time to go through it line by line. You’d be shocked. 1 Like |
Politics / Re: Naira’s Outlook Is Brightening Amid Steps To Steady Currency by KORLAR(m): 9:37pm On Mar 19 |
Feintline: Shut the hell up. When Bloomberg and the likes were reporting doom, dunderheads believed them. Now they’re reporting otherwise, it’s propaganda. Yall don’t love Nigeria like you proclaim, yall just hurt it’s not your man at the helms of affairs. That propaganda that he used to make Lagos a success and cynosure of all eyes, he’d use it to make Nigeria a success; to your dismay and that of naysayers. Asiwaju will succeed, Nigeria will progress. And there’s nothing dunderheads can do about it! |
Politics / Re: Wike Appoints Chidi Amadi As Chief Of Staff by KORLAR(m): 7:19pm On Mar 16 |

Politics / Re: “I Don’t Want To Be Your Friend. Is It By Force?” – Wike Replies Ireti Kingibe by KORLAR(m): 7:00pm On Mar 16 |
Depriest2020: How can you say minister of FCT is ordinary? Minister of FCT is almost equivalent to a governor. She can’t summon shit. Her only leverage is using the senate and it appears Wike has more influence than her there. |

Politics / Re: Wike Appoints Chidi Amadi As Chief Of Staff by KORLAR(m): 6:42pm On Mar 16 |
ruggedtimi: The position of chief of staff is pretty normal. Most people just only associate it with governors, presidents, and the likes. Most MDs and CEOs of big corporations have chief of staff. Even those that don’t necessarily have the title have people that play the role. |

Business / Re: Unilever Ghana Has Relocated Its Tea Production To Nigeria by KORLAR(m): 1:06pm On Mar 14 |
anonymous1759: Don’t mind them. Pretend lovers of Nigeria. If the news was about companies leaving Nigeria for Ghana now, their preek will rise like someone who took alomo, viagra, and jekonmo. But now, they’re being meek and acting blind because it’s not a bad news for Nigeria. Shey some of these goats always compare us to Ghana in negative light. They’d all be exposed in due course. |
Politics / Re: Shehu Sani Explains Why Senators, Including Opposition Members, Fear Suspension by KORLAR(m): 12:53pm On Mar 14 |
BlueRayDick: You’re only being sentimental. The senate like other institutions have rules and standing orders. Any senator that gets suspended on the basis of violating those rules should be blamed for being suspended on that basis. If the senator cared about his constituents, he shouldn’t have violated the rules of the senate. |
Politics / Re: Bill On Power Rotation Passes First Reading In Senate by KORLAR(m): 12:44pm On Mar 14 |
mrvitalis: It doesn’t guarantee anything, there are crooks in every zone and anyone who has the means and clout can clinch an elective seat. Nigeria has been rotating its presidency between north and south, with both sides of the divide taking turns to plunder the her resources. Even if you microzone it to a family, if the crooked ones keep coming out top; nothing can make development come. The most important thing is for electorates to genuinely vote competent people who have the interest of the country at heart. For me, I don’t mind if a particular zone rules us forever so far it comes with the development we truly need. We focus too much on the minors. What we need are very good systems and leaders irrespective of tribe and other biases. |
Politics / Re: Senator Ningi’s Allegations & Indiscriminate Insertions In 2024 Budget By BudgIT by KORLAR(m): 12:37pm On Mar 14 |
Kukutente23: Excluding the breakdown of GOEs, the National Assembly, and others has been the norm since forever. Ningi is a ranking senator meaning he’s been aware of all of these for years as a senator. Why is he just speaking now? Why didn’t he present his facts on the floor of the senate as a senator rather than embarrass the senate, the country, and the federal government? |
Politics / Re: Oseloka Obaze Gets Dragged For Saying That Obi Bought 400 SUVs For Igwes & Ezes by KORLAR(m): 5:07pm On Mar 11 |
joseph1832: That’s even just by the way, find out how many traditional rulers are in Anambra to be more flabbergasted. Sources say they are not up to 150 so who got the remaining 250 SUVs? As I’ve said before; Obi would be exposed for his hypocrisy. 7 Likes 1 Share |

Business / Re: ‘How CBN Can Track $26bn Binance Transactions’ - Obinna Iwuno by KORLAR(m): 6:27pm On Mar 08 |
fxexperts: You need to actually go out and make findings, not just staying online and spewing conjectures as facts. I can authoritatively tell you that prices of some foods have come down. If you can’t go to market to find out, haven’t you been following the news? Opposition must be constructive, not factually bereft. |
