TravelRe: U.S. Non-immigrant Visas: We’re Listening by koskikun: 9:02pm On Jun 01, 2017
Dear VO,

My brother is eligible for the interview waiver program and intends to use it to renew his visa.

Can his wife and child also submit their application with his? They have never been issued a US visa and would be applying for the first time.

The link below seems to allude to that but we aren't completely convinced that they are eligible.

Thank you!

Hello VO,
I have been scheduled for an immigrant visa interview in April by NVC. Do I need to register the appointment online? If I need to where do I register it?
Thanks!

Hello VO. Please is there anyway to know if my interview has been rescheduled. I keep reading about people getting turned back at the embassy. I haven't received any email or calls from the embassy but those people claim they didn't either so im a bit concerned.
Thank you.

VisaOfficer:
If three years' worth of tax documents have already been submitted, there's no need to include the 2014 return now. However, if you're only now gathering that information, it's best to have the three most recent years of tax documents. Your joint sponsor should be either a U.S. citizen or a Legal Permanent Resident.
Thank you. Makes it a lot clearer. Do I also need to register the interview anywhere and bring along my AOS and IV fee receipt as well as DS 260 confirmation page? Not sure if it's necessary for Lagos Consulate.

Hello Visa Officer. Scheduled for interview in June and currently gathering my documents. My case was completed before filing of 2014 taxes. Do I need to get 2014 tax return from both my petitioner and joint sponsor? Do I need an updated I-864? Do I need to present proof of citenzship of my joint sponsor?

Hello Visa Officer. I've been Scheduled for interview in June by NVC. I understand the immigrant visa is valid for 6 months. Does the validity start from the day the medical is done or the day the visa is issued. Thank you.
