In an online chat with Eritayo Agboola’s the CEO/MD of the Empire Beauty Studio situated in Lagos. The single lady is a graduate of Communication and Language Arts, from the University of Ibadan disclosed to Kosofepost her humble journey, how she combined schooling and Makeup services, and perhaps the reason why men don’t put on makeups.

Makeup artistry work is it only meant for women’s who apply it?

It depends on personality. But for me makeup can be applied on both men and women. There are some jobs I go for and I makeup for the groom lightly if the bride agrees to it.

For every events women’s both old and young nailed their outlook with special makeups. That makes opposite sex to always look them over and over in admiration. Therefore, if makeup is for both sex, why are men not bothered embracing it ?

I think this is because of the society we found ourselves. Unlike foreigners who embrace it freely, in Nigeria, when a man makes up, other men and even women think he is insane or even gay. Come to think of it, men’s makeup is always very soft and cool unlike that of a woman.

You have been in the makeup industry for about 7 years. Can you share your experience with us?

Thank you. The journey has not been easy I must confess. I trained to become a makeup artist two years after finishing with my secondary school education. I didn’t get jobs at the beginning but I made up on myself everyday I go out and I can remember, I passed a job interview easily in 2012 because I could explain the kind of eyeshadow inspiration I had on my face. I remember vividly that I had smokey eyes on that day to the interview and the interviewer asked me to tel her about smokey eyes. That was the only question I was asked. I began to receive jobs each time I went out due to what I applied on my own face. I gained admission into the University of Ibadan in 2012. I combined business with schooling and I proceeded in that manner till I graduated this January. I also worked with a makeup store during the course of my education and working there made me improve with my makeup skills. Currently, I am saving up to run my own makeup studio and I pray God helps me to realise that because it has been my dream. Thank you

Is there a body coordinating the affairs of the makeup artist industry in Nigeria like other numerous associations we have?

I don’t think so. But I am aware of some that can be referred to as an association which are on Instagram

Does your brand organise makeup trainings and if yes when its your next training coming up?

Yes, I organised makeup training’s for individuals and corporate organisations who wish to empower their staffs（women）The plan for the next makeup training is ongoing and we are looking forward for it to take place in Lagos towards the end of March.

Are you single searching (SS), Already selected(AS), or About to the Altar (AA)?

Lol! Thank you. I am single and searching.

Whats your advice to the young females out there looking for an office job who hiss at handwork because of their certificates?

Thank you. I observed there are two different kinds of individuals. There is the one that have the potentials to own and run a business and another that would only survive in an office. So my advice to other young ladies is that they should follow their dreams and know the path to follow. And this can be achieved only through focus. It isn’t easy to become successful whether you are your own boss or you work for another boss. Just be prayerful and keep at it. Read more, attend seminars and stay humble

RIDERS PETTY SCAM ON #UBER #TAXIFY IN LAGOS

Since the introduction of the Ecab in Lagos, Nigeria to provide comfort, five star services and easy movements for riders within kosofe, the city over the years, there’s has been various reported cases of one form of scam to the others from dubious riders.

There are several Ehailing aplications in Lagos, Nigeria such as Ogataxi, soole, gomyway, smartcabs, Jekalo, Afro but the popular ones are #UBER #Taxify .

These are the leading ridesharing provider that the famous local cabbie or kabukabu operators reign curses on for spoiling and reducing their daily returns over their innovations, comfort coupled with the guaranteed expected time of arrival (ETAs), and affordability that make many residents to abandon the yellow taxi popularly known as Oko Ashewo(runs girl husband) because they constitute the majority of their rider’s.

According to the Kosofepost, research carried out early December 2017, some of the investors or driver partners were bitter then about the pricing template as result of the price war between the two company to get brand loyalty. However, the inability of the driver partners to have a union and get them united to protest has been the only saving grace for the companies that take between 15-25% commission on every trip without owing a car.


Despite the challenges they faced on what they described as digital slave trade” from the ecab that kills their morals. Next to it is not payment by some riders when the trips are completed.

The mode of payments said to be acceptable is “Card or Cash Trip” When the trip is completed riders might then disclosed that no money. Then make some attempts to do transfer that will later be unsuccessful, which will never come in and forced the driver to leave. And they will never do the transfer , which is not acceptable in the first instance.

Several thousands was lost due to some of the app coy altitude, when such matters are reported to them for reimbursement but they will never reimbursed or asked you to be keep calling the riders, if the driver mouthed too much pressure on the apps coy persistently they will come back and say that the rider account has been suspended and blocked.

By so doing, the driver partners forgo the money contrary the warning not to fight or resort to self help with such riders and the promised reimbursement in such scenario , these were common with Taxify as gathered.

Another trick is that when they gets to their final destination they will disappear into the thin air without traces.

The other costly scam is that they will make request and established communication with the driver(s) and request you further to pick a parcel for them say at Bode Thomas, Surulere to Golden Tulip Hotel, Festac.

Then, they will later call back to add more instructions that when the parcel claimed to be a landed property documents are urgently meant to go to Abuja’s same day by flight, that when collected that his unknown partners should be given say 5000-10000 by the unsuspecting drivers and promised that once he arrived at the final destination the hotel, the driver will take him on another trip to Murtala Muhammad International Airport (By MM2) with the promised that all the total trips fair will be paid together.

Any driver that accepted the extraordinary and out of the ethics requests #BringBackMyMemory will be regained when he gets to the final destination and the ghost rider phone rang endlessly or no longer available, or bars incoming calls.

A driver shared his experience with kosofepost he said the same day with two (2) different riders back to back on taxify.

First one, picked a female rider an olosho (runs girls) to Ijegun road from Magodo, Lagos state, It was a cash trip. On getting to the destination, the lady alighted and walked away confidently. He asked his money, she said “the guy no pay you”meaning her One night stand client. The Driver said no, it was a cash trip. She said “call him (the man) to pay you, I have no money”na from the the 10k him transfer I go take pay you?” meaning her service charge.

Hearing the runs girl statements the driver added;

“I sensed danger, I called the guy who placed the request, he said Bros collect your money and hung up. I was livid, imagine the traffic, stress and fuel burnt and now no payment and its taxify Trip.

Added”I was mad, I blocked the hotel entrance, their manager came out. She went round begging and borrowing to pay my fare. I left and went home, The driver stated.

Same driver said” At about 9pm, got another request from Aguda to onipetesi estate at Mangoro. Picked a lady apparently an olosho, when we got to her destination. The man refused to pick her calls. No money for my fare again. I just collected her phone and handbag, she begged and used my phone to call friends. They credited me sharply before I left.

Taxify riders are becoming something else. Lets be prayerful as many fraudsters are on the prowl to defraud us,” The driver stated

The drivers were interviewed in magodo phase l &ll, omole phase l, Alapere estate, Agboyi estate, Ramat estate,Ogudu , Anthony Village, ojota, Ake alo ,Ifako gbadaga, all in kosofe federal constituency narrated their experiences to our correspondents.

They added all the petty scam on the ecab are possible because the apps don’t have a detailed profile of its riders unlike the drivers whose information are well detailed and documented. Moreso, The apps worship the external customers(riders) compared to the internal customers(driver partner’s), without which the apps technology that has no single car services will be patronized.

Kosofepost was also told that several stakeholders meeting was held at teslim balogun stadium geared towards registrying a union in other to fight and stop the advanced digital slave trade from the apps coy and the scam few bad riders are perpetrating with impunity as we gathered.

But for now the challenges has always been their inability to Unite or get all the drivers contact’s to make their protests meaningful and effective.

The latest one was the alleged false rape and kidnapping allegations made against a driver by a rider claiming the driver attempted to kidnap her for obstructly trip Ending her and ordering the questionable rider out of his car. The claims and counter claims has become subject of litigation which Kosofepost will talk further on.

PRESS STATEMENT

On the 25th of January 2017, we woke up to distrubing news of an occurrence between one of our colleagues Mr Henry Nnaemeka and a rider Miss Dorcas Shola Fapson, during a taxi ride that was initiated and connected both persons via the TAXIFY e-Hailing Application.
Social media was and is still trending with accusation of an alleged attemted rape and kidnap of Miss Fapson by Mr Henry, and a lot of reactions, denials, counter accusations and a statement from the originators of that ride (TAXIFY) has since followed.
We have within the last 48hours extensively reviewed the statements of claims by Miss Fapson, the video she uploaded on Social media, and also listened to and read Mr. Henry’s counter claims on what actually transpired.
That review has led us to certain conclusions that we would not state at this moment as not to prejudice the claims of an ongoing investigation by the law enforcement agents.
As professional driver partners, we must however mention that there may have been certain instances of unprofessional conduct on the part of our colleague as it relates to that trip, but our dedication to provide professional service musnt be misconstrued as an excuse to ignore our personal security if and when a driver partner percieves any potential threat to his or her safety.
Which brings us to the position taken by the originators of the ride hailing service. Taxify has continually overlooked scenarios like this and they will sadly continue to occur if they continue to hold onto their current disposition of lumping the driver partner and rider to settle any complaints independently.
The situation that occurred between Miss Fapson and Mr Henry might never have been if Mr Henry had received the ride request and seen both the LOCATION and DESTINATION of the RIDER. Mr Henry would have had a choice before hand to accept or refuse the trip, and wouldn’t have had any excuse after picking up the rider. There is absolutely no excuse tenable for expecting a driver partner to proceed to an unknown destination by 12am.
TAXIFY and some other ride haling service providers have repeatedly ignored calls for regularisation of many anomalies in their mode of operations and are always quick to take a position and deactivate drivers at the slightest compliant by a rider, without having carried out any kind of investigation. They have continued to leave driver partners at the mercy of fraudulent rides by abandoning their responsibility of making sure that Driver Partners are fully compensated for every ride service offered via the platform.
Unverified signup of riders onto the TAXIFY platform has continually led to instances of assault, theft and armed robberies of driver partners and their vehicles in many instances.
Or How does a driver partner feel safe having to pick up a rider simply identified such as A, AA Xman, Contagious, Bootylicious, Shayo, or any other alias, to an unknown destination.
Taxify has done absolutely nothing to protect their driver Partners while on a trip.
We would like to reemphasize that until the listed anomalies and many more are promptly addressed by TAXIFY and some other taxi hailing service providers through proper interaction with driver partners and other industry stakeholders. The lives and personalities of citizens of this beautiful country would continue to be mortgaged for a selfish business interest.
The live of every Nigerian matters, Driver partners and Riders inclusive. Stop putting our lives at risk.

Adebayo Osinowo, The 4th term lawmaker representing Kosofe Constituency I, in the Lagos state House of Assembly, in the “First of its kind interview and Photoshoot with 40 Legislators and the Clark l of the House” conducted by Ovation International for the 7th Lagos House of assembly in 2013 , unknown personality revealed.

ITS A PREVILEGE SERVING THE PEOPLE-HON. ADEBAYO OSINOWO

As a representatives of the people,its a previlege, since out of the 18million people in lagos, i was picked amogst 39 others.
The story of June 12 elections in Nigeria is incomplete without the inclusion of Hon. Adebayo Sikiru Osinowo along with the late Bashorun Moshood Kashimawo Abiola, Hon. Osinowo paid the price for the insisting on June 12.

Born in the mid-50’s into the family of late Alhaji Rabiu Osinowo of Odo- Egbo in Ijebu Ode and Alhaja Moriamo Osinowo of Etitale, Ijebu-Ode.

A successful politician and contributor to our nascent democracy, Hon. Osinowo attended St. Augustine Primary School, Ijebu –Ode, Isoyin Grammar School, Isoyin , Ijebu-Ode. He worked briefly in Lagos with Ministry of Works, as land officer between 1977 and 1979 before travelling abroad for studies and he attended University of Perugia, Italy ; Instittuto per geometra Rome, Italy and Urbaniana Rome, Italy. He holds a Masters degree in communications.

Upon his return to Nigeria, he set up the Nigeria-Italian company(NITAL) and NIMCO Ltd. In 1986.

Hon. Osinowo started active politicking in the Second Republic as a prominent Youth Chairman of the ruling party, When Bashorun Moshood Kashimawo Abiola was the state chairman. Hon. Osinowo was also member of defunct Social Demoncratic Party( SDP) in 1993 and he played a prominent role in the development and sucess of the party as well as the election of MKO Abiola that was later annulled. He participarted fully in actualization of June 12 mandate that to his dentention with M.K.O Abiola with other progressives through the late Sanni Abacha’s regime.

Upon return to demoncratic rule, he joined the Alliance for Democracy(AD) that metermorphosed into Action Congress( AC) later to Action Congress of Nigeria( ACN) and now All Progressives Congress, (APC).

Hon. Osinowo declared his intention to contest for the house of Assembly in 2003 and emerged the candidate of the AD. He contested and won the Kosofe constituency 1 seat in the Lagos State House of Assembly. He got reelected in 2007, 2011 and 2015.

Since 2003, he has been the chairman, house committee on Land and Housing.

He married to Alhaja Mariam Ayodele Osinowo, one of the daughters Of Alhaji Taofeek kehide from Esure Esugbon Quarters, ijebu Mushin and they are blessed with children, all Medical Doctors.

Hon. Osinowo is an islamic Scholar by divine intervention, Who has been contributing his quota to the development of the people. Among his Chieftaincy titles are; The Otunba Tayese Of Isheri –Oke, Lagos, The Otunba Mayegun of Imoru.

Sir, how would you describe the legislative assignment

It is one of the most cherished assignment for any politician, because a legislator is the closest politicians to his people and they trust him enough to represent them. The legislature is the only institution where you are free to talk aand also consult the Governor about the affairs of the people.

As a representative of the people, it is a previlege, since out of the 18million people in Lagos, i was picked amongst 39 others. The demerits are that, the people do not really understand what we do and think that we should be tarring their roads and building infrastructural facilicities, which which are preverve of the Executive.

What have been your contributions to the House Of Assembly

I have been in this house since 2003 and this is my third term(fouth term) in the house. I am sure that, My people and the party are satisfied with my contributions in the party, commununity and the state and that explains the fact that, i am spending my third term(fouth term) in the house.

Have you sponsored a motion or a Bill and how have they imparted on the people

Bills are always co-sponsored since no one person can singlehandedly move a Bill through the various stages before it eventually becomes a law. I have been the cchairman of land and hosuing for the past 11years(14years) and virtually all the Bills concerning land have been sponsored and passed through me. So, in truth, i have been involved in alot of Bills. We just passed a Bill to consolidate all laws that the issue of land in the state we intend merging all the laws. Some of these laws are oudated and we trying to curb the activities of land grabbers.

By special grace Of God,I have been the cchairman of land and hosuing for the past 11years(14years) and that shows that i am a good legislator and if this was another field, i would have been offered different PhD Degrees. I enjoy it because we are impacting and sensitizing the people on the value of land. We are lucky in Lagos state that our governors are purposeful and strategic. When we generated 600million Naira during Marwa’s regime, we all celebrated. But when Ashiwaju Tinubu used his professional expertise as an Accountant to block leakages in many sectors and sanitized the sectors, we started geenerating between 2 and 6 billion Naira . As a matter of fact, Gov. Babatunde Fashola improved it to 25Billion naira. Now, we generate atleast 25Billion naira. I believe that, We have had marvelous and examplary leaders in lagos and our governors have always had keen isense of acountability and they know exactly how to use the funds made available to them.

Lagos State has been the yardstick for governance in Nigeria. How has the House of Assembly impacted of good governance in the state

There is no state in Nigeria that has not learnt from our House because we are number One. It is not that we are more brilliant than others, but we have set a yardstick that can not be easily surpased.

Do you believe that the legislative arm of government has been given its due recognition for the sucess story of Gov. Babatunde Fasholas administration

This House is a very autonomous House and the Governor does not dabble into our affairs. The Governor is opend minded and understands the rule of the game, after all he is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria. If we say that we are not passing a Bill, then we are not and he will understand as beacause he is a lawyer, We can reduce or increase the Budget of the state as stipulated by the rules of the House in line with constitution of the Country. We must thank god for that, So far, So good, the rapport has been good.

You conduct plenary session of the House In Yoruba Language on Thursdays, has this helped anyway

I think others are even trying to emulate us. I am aware some states in East and North want to toe the line. We have gained alot from it and understand us since most of them are indigenes and they will like their dialets which will be more explanary. Moreover, representation is not for the rich and literates only. It goes beyoung just communication; it also shows we love our culture beacuse we always adorn our traditional outfits on Thursdays. The only way you can explain better during sessions is through your language. If you look at the countries that Formed the G8 forum,you would observe that speak their languages in inspite of their proximity to britain And America. Yet, We are the one championing English language and we very distant to them. I like the idea tha other states want to speak their indigenous language in oe od the days set aside for legislation.

How would you rate the leadership of Hon. Adeyemi Kuforiji

There is no single law that says that you must write an exam to become a speaker and the law states that we should pick one among us to be Mr. Speaker. If he is not good enough he wont be there till now. If he is not capable, he would not have led us for so long. He is a man of honour and integrity. He has invested heavily in improving our intellect with seminars and lectures and even if you had come here as an illiterate, you would habe become very learned by your second term.

Tell us about your self

I schooled in Italy and attended Instituto Camile. I started politics in 1979 during time of Unity Party of Nigeria and National Party of Nigeria but later, the millitary struck. Democracy returned in 1999 and i contest for the house election and won. At the moment, i represent the good people of Kosofe Constituency I, in the Lagos State House Of Assembly. I fought for democracy in this country and i was imprisoned and condemned to death but by the grace of God, Gen. Sanni Abacha Died. We have suffered alot for Democracy and those who lost their lives then did not die in vain beacause democracy is growing in leaps and bounds in Nigeria.

Tell us about your family

I am married to Mrs. Ayodele Osinowo and we are blessed with three childrens namely, Dr.Taiwo Bakare, Dr. Kehinde Adebisi and Babatunde Osinowo. They chose medicine for themselves and i thank God for their lives.

The elder statesman , 13 page statement is currently generating whole lots of reactions in kosofe federal constituency to similar to the 18 page he wrote to former president Goodluck Jonathan and few of the screened responses are compiled below:

Good evening, permit me to state that I have personal principle of separating the message from the messenger. What Former President Obasanjo highlighted in his 13-page letter, I think are the concerns amongst most Nigerians who are obviously disappointed in the turnout of events and hopes reposted in President Muhammadu Buhari in the build up to the 2015 general elections. Economic index as it relates to the general wellbeing of the citizens remain abysmal, insecurity as occassioned by Fulani herdsmen killing and kidnapping are getting worrisome, unemployment amongst youths remains alarming and the anti-corruption fight which we thought was the vault of President Buhari is losing steam. I strongly align with former President Obasanjo, PMB has tried his best and should adopt the Mandela Option. If not for anything, he should do so because of his health. Yesterday, the organization held one day sensitization event at the Ogudu Health Centre, Kosofe Local govt, around 1030Hours.

The NGO representatives injunction with the Kosofe health educator unit after a brief preview stated that”an infant must be given breast milk within an hour after delivery for both the baby and the mother safety health.

The infants naturally within 60minutes of arrival and sucking of the breast will enable the baby enjoy the first healthy, and protective cholesterol from the mother mammary gland.

The early minutes breastfeeding cholesterol serves as the most important immunization before other categories of immunization. And its quicken the reduction of bile pains on the baby.

While its helps the mother to reduce bleeding ,enhanced easy and unstoppable flow of the breast milk.



However, at the event the debate over who owns the breasts of a wife between an husband and a child reverberated. Which threw the venue populated by matured people into laughter.

At the end of the programme, The Save the children NGO, expected the various community stakeholders participants to ensure that the people of kosofe Local government(Agboyi ketu and ikosi isheri lcdas) adopts the appropriate infant and young child feeding (IYCF) practices and to eliminate malnutrition.

The larger people of the communities are also expected to be informed through the Mosque and church services, Residents and community devpt association weekly or monthly meetings. During wedding and naming ceremonies, or during any special gathering.

The events might have come to Oworonshoki in Kosofe Local government and gone. But the pictures and the knowledge acquired at such gatherings by the attendees can not be overemphasised.

It’s not about where the chief imam , the speaker lean socially and politically but the general public interest irrespective of the group of the organisers.

Its not about the messenger but the message, its not about the container but the hyper content of the container for the good of the youths who are the leader of today ,No more tomorrow.


We stumbled on the information about this events organised by the Joint Mandate group (JMG),Oworonshoki, An integral of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for her peoples in Kosofe December 2016.

Going by the recent developments and the repeated gang war in Oworonshoki , which reportedly started early this week prompted us to review Dr. AbdulLateef, lecture titled”Impacting Community: The Role of A Political Group” focusing the Youths.



Kosofepost analysis concluded its highly educative and informative; and its a must read repeatedly by the youths and the good people of kosofe federal constituency, as the 2019 general elections are fast approaching.

The honourable commissioner told the Youths to”Develop yourselves, what you don’t have you cannot give. Acquire academic qualifications, attend trainings and workshops to equip yourselves.”

He said “the era when some politicians use youths as political thugs are gone.”

“Youths should see themselves as leaders of today and they must take charge of affairs by demonstrating convincingly leadership character,” he started at the purported event.

At the juncture, The attention of the people and the youths must be drawn and be told that no the matter the amount they will be attempted to be rented, hired and paid for what their sponsors children’s wives ,concubines or relatives can not do , they should reject it before, during and after every elections.

Both are not government organization. Mamaye advocacy is on reduction of mortality rate in pregnant mother and new born babies as a result of many factors while child protection network is to help such babies to have a conducive environment devoid all forms of violence. So, as a result of these, the 2 organizations stand to ensure safe delivery and protection of such babies from any form of abuse, to have a safe adulthood, it start from the cradle and such duties are to be discharged by adults.

What are the factors that causes mortality and how can it be prevented ?

It can be broadly be divided into two, on the part of government and the people. On part of govt. Lack of skilled professional to take deliveries or midwives the pregnant mothers, you see some medical facilities without capable hands or you don’t even have facilities at all, lack of live saving drugs, most women lost their lives as a result of it. Upon delivery mothers might developed post delivery complication and such requires some special drugs which might not be available .

Mortality could be as a result of lack of functional blood bank. Mothers upon delivery might need blood as a result of loss of blood, once such is not on ground, it becomes problem and such leads to untimely death.

On the part of pregnant mother, Failure to attend Ante natal clinic(ANC), once pregnancy is confirmed on mothers, she is entitled to attend Minimum of 4-6 ANC before delivery, such numbers of visit might be increased depending on the medical history of such mother, most women don’t attend, rather they visit unskilled Traditional birth attendant(TBA).
