Took a buy trade on xau yesterday, checked the trade at around 3pm today in the afternoon and found out I was running in 203 pips profit, I then decided to break even only to check my chart now and see I got stopped out at breakeven. That means GOLD moved 203pips back to strike my SL what sort of sorcery is this

And that is daily drawdown breached, depending on your rules.

Supremefx I really don't know about darwinex or if the profit split is around that 15%. It's miles above what I can afford so I don't even look that way.

ladies and gentlemen, meet Realone, the most greedy and indisciplined trader in history of forex trading.. I resolved not to trade again after hitting 65%, but on waking up todays, I opened my chat and saw an almost perfect set up. I quickly made a calculation in my head that even do I lose 4% today I will still end up winning a cash price and a challenge account. that why not take the risk.. I ended up risking 4% of 165000 which is 6600. I thought even if I lose the trade I will end up at around 161k which is still a good position. but what o failed to understand is the DD calculation is based on the initial balance of the 100k, so the 65k profit I earned doesn't account.. that's how I ended up 6600 thinking it's 4% not knowing that everything is being calculated in respect to the initial balance, so that makes the 6600 risked above the 5000 daily DD.. after some few hours I placed the trade, decided to check the trade and I found out that I have breached the daily DD.. just like that.. all the hope all the dream everything was gone. I can only blame myself.. I doubt if I will ever be able to attain this fit coz this trauma Will remain on me for a very long time..

I have no proper idea. But I think it's a prop firm that creates a profile/journal of some sorts when you have an account with them. Either demo or live.

This profile/journal can also be shown to potential investors in case they reauire evudence of your capabilities as a trader and the analytics they provide help you tweak your style to maximize profits.

In my case for example, I've found Wednesdays and Thursdays to be my most profitable. And I noticed that while most of my trades happen at 11 am, my best trades happen between 2pm till 7pm. And over the past two weeks, I havent traded at 9pm. Not once.

Before that World Cup, many of us, including me just couldn't see how Argentina would win the whole thing. I was like, they would sure go far, but not win it. But yeah they surprised everyone. Although, to me, at some point, it was looking like there were some controversial calls in Argentina's favour during the tournament.

But, looking at the whole thing now, one can't say that FIFA gave it to them. They worked hard for that World Cup. They were on stunning form before and after the tournament. 50 games unbeaten in 51 games now.
That's a lot.

My FXBlue is showing that I'm 0.7% up and my darwinex account shows that I'm negative 1.32%. I closed all my trades at 9:30 pm last night.

Welldone Boss, seems even though you swing, you sometimes exit trades because of retracements and join again when the trend has continued. It's evident by the massive gaps between the average winning trades of $218 and average losing trades of $692, and you still ended on the positive side.

I lost so much because I was stubborn not to exit a trade even though I was sure it would retrace and take about 60% of the initially made profits before continuing with the movement.
We learn everyday, another lesson in the bag. Thanks boss for sharing this image.

The bolded is what I was complaining about last week. Even if I couldn't do it well this week, the idea was there and I had to turn to scalping Nasdaq so I could get out of DD on the darwinex challenge.

The following may not solve your problems directly, but it's likely to offer a different perspective of looking at them.

I find it difficult commenting on people's trades because there is a whole lot of variables to consider and I don't have all the information. Also, given the fact that no trading system works 100% of the time, it is tiring and somewhat futile (at least to me) to comment on individual trades. It is better and more useful to consider collection of trades after a predefined timeline. Unless we trade exactly the same way, it is almost impossible to give an accurate assessment or comment on someone else's trading. My opinion, of course.
Having clarified that, permit me to take a different direction.

I'd suggest you search on youtube for a 13-minute video by Jordan Peterson with the above title. It's not a trading video, but I'm sure it will give you a better perspective of this journey you've embarked on. And more importantly it will give you some inner peace when you inevitably start doubting yourself.

Learning something new is tough. Learning to trade is a different demon. Each time you introduce something to or remove something from your trading system, it becomes 'new', hence, another level of difficulty. Which is why it is advisable to be sceptical of new information that affects the core of your strategy, especially a strategy that has been proven to be profitable.

My point: Don't relent. The distance you've covered seems to be greater than the distance left.

It depends. Long term gains can be guranteed can be guranteed if you're right and stick to some certain rules while making money. While being wrong is like walking blind. But since the goal is the make money can't one argue also that inadvertently you are right in spite of being wrong?
