On a separate note, I wonder why you shorted there if truly you have been on the trade since Friday, it seems to me that you took the trade from D1 or H4. If H4, I may quite understand, even at that, I would have exited since except you were on a position trading, but D1 - I'm curious about what made you short it there.

H4 zone plus change of character on the H4, H1 and M15 all signalling sell.

What you have just written is the reason it is said that psychology of a trader is more important than his/her trading strategy. How you plan your trade and stick to it goes a long way in helping you become the disciplined trader which is all you need at this point.

The most annoying thing is that I tell myself I'd do better, be more patient, wait for more setups and i go ahead to do all that only to end up with the same outcome. In a way I'm glad I discovered this, it's way better than the alternative of not knowing. Hopefully I find a way to implement it.

So I have a problem, and I'm going to use the GA sell I've been on since Friday as an example. And I just realized this today and I feel so stupid.

I like to get in aggressively at the beginning of a trend and we all know that a trend retraces and continues and if you have an open trade that means you get a lot of profits, and then it drops. Say you are in 30 pips profit at the high of the move, you might drop to as low as 5 pips at the low of the retracement. This leads to what I call "dancing profits".

The problem for me now is that I'm used to taking my profit at the end of the long term trend (say it's 160 pips) and during these short term highs and lows my profits dance a lot. And if you've followed my performance on any of infofirst's challenges you'll find that I've always been kicked off a challenge for breaching daily DD. Not that the trade ends in a loss oh, but imagine being in 7k profit and dropping to 1.5k before the main move you're waiting for comes to bear. That's daily DD violated. I'm not saying this is always the case with the profit, but it's the same pattern every single time.

And the funniest thing is that I can see the retracement happening, I know when its going to start and where it'll get to most times, but I decide to stay in the trade like that since it'll still continue in my direction.HOW STUPID🤣🤣🤣

I'm working on taking my profits and running before it pulls back next time then re-entering because if it goes against me, I'll be able to handle the drawdown or loss that may occour without necessarily eating deep into my equity. I'm coming up with a modification to my strategy using more CHoCH's and my fib as usual and I'll backtest it proper during the weekend.


Thank you all for reading. I just needed to rant, I dey vex for myself. I'm almost 3% down in the FTMO challenge, and I saw 120 USD profit on GA, I said I'll take it later when I was more settled to look at the chart properly and plan my re-entry and i forgot about it totally because there was no setups forming today to bring me back to the charts. Now I'm back in the negative as the trade is close to my SL.

Facts. I haven't opened any trades since Monday because there is no setup. I've been on GA sell since Friday and it's in loss now, close to my SL, but aside that... Nothing!!!

Setups I'm looking at. I had to close my GA for a loss on my challenge account because I don't want to incure weekend swap fees when it opens. I'll enter it again later and hopefully it goes well.

My GA TP is is now going to be the -50 extension. And I'll be waiting for a confirmation sell on GU to take out the liquidity below. The reason I'm not going off aggressive is because the momentum is strong.


Unlike last week, this week doesnt promise much but then again, it's too early to tell. I wish everyone a successful trading week.

ETH is starting to sub early which is good because most of Case's desperate lunges this season come in the second half when he's already gassed.

They've had a slow start to the season but they would bounce back. Newcastle, Aston Villa and West Ham were once big teams, and they know what Europe is like so they'll definitely try for it.

Yes this should work so Casemiro is free to get into the opponents box. But we need a ball carrier and passer in that position and Casemiro isn't so we will still suffer.

I dont even know if we can define what role or position McTominay played today. It's the same role he plays for Scotland. As long as it does not involve tracking back or chasing opposition players down and playing more as a forward, you will see McTominay turn up

And it can't work since everyone now tracks back. I don't know who turned him into a DM, day person no try for am. He's lost about 2 years of progress because of that.

Weekly Assessment
I think competitions model are more favourable to indices traders than currency pairs because of their volatility. Because I wanted to make more from my little currency pairs made me bought EurJpy on Tuesday because I believed[what effrontery] it would reverse back to where I initially sold it from on Monday. I was already enjoying the ride on 40pips profit before JPY did the werey it did on Tuesday by doing a crazy reversal and smashed my SL.

My mistake was jumping on a trade that I shouldn't be at that point in time. And one thing I was sure of that caused it was the competition, because if not for competition, I wouldn't have joined the trade and would instead wait for it to reach there before selling again, and if it doesn't, i carry my kaya go find another market.

I wanted a live account so bad next month that it was changing me without me even realizing it. So I hopped on two competitions fundedNext and TFT to make 40% at least so I could be among top100 to stand a chance of winning an account.

Solution: I logged out of both FundedNext and TFT from my phone and decided to just face our FTA competition squarely since the patterns[like having maximum of two trades opened at any given time] and minimal lot sizes are the same way I intend trading too. The good part is there is even a guaranteed prop firm account if everyone can attain just 10% in 3months courtesy of our own Boss Info.
So I thought to myself, will you run and risk falling or you will just crawl slowly and get to your destination nonetheless. I picked the latter.

Second solution: I worked on moving my SL to break even once market moves about 30 to 40pips my way. EurJpy thought me this. If I won't be winning by market reversing, I also won't be losing either. Protect your money first, and collect whatever market offers is the motto now.

This week made me a better trader, the two weeks ago ME wouldn't have had it better with this week's type of market movement.
I think the lot size did a good job at that, as it made me increase my SL to handle more swings than my usual 20pips, because some markets moved about 30pips+ against me before eventually going my way a little.

By adding these new elements to my trading, I've altered some few things that made me more profitable, like breaking even when market does heavy retracement back to me and against me before eventually going my way.
But the good part is, chances of losing on an initial winning trade is now slimmer, which can also means profitability on its own too.

The last mistake is the funniest, left trade opened over the weekend because I was at a lounge drinking my life way, and didn't know when 10pm passed. What made me forgot was because I already moved SL to BE since 4pm, so I was sure of not losing even if it goes sideways but I forgot yesterday was Friday and not a midweek anymore. I only keep trades overnight and not on weekends.
I hope the there won't be enough gaps to kick my drunken a.ss off on Sunday night.
Solution: Don't drink and trade or close your trades before drinking is the new rule now.

We are moving slowly, but we are moving nonetheless. At those people at the top, I sight you guys, much respect I got for you people, it's not easy hitting 5%+ in a week with this week's shege my eyes saw.

McTominay and Casemiro have showed very little interest in doing their primary jobs in midfield this season. They just want to get into the box and score.

McTominay has never been good there, Casemiro... I think the thrill gotten from being in the scoresheet last season multiple times has gotten to him.

If ETH and his boys can repeat this over and over. It's a solid playing style.

It's just one of the styles. I've seen them try using triangle more in the wings, but their agility and close control is not up to that level. Only Sancho and Martial has that among all our forward players. ( And we all know how that goes)

They did it against Galatasaray too, but for some reason they were impatient and forced the ball forward too soon. If you noticed today, there was little to no forced balls. And I think this is also due to the sub of Casemiro, he's been the one forcing halls since the beginning of the season.

kozmicity if you notice, there were little or no life-threatening individual errors in the 2nd half.

Amrabat didn't overlap. He knew Eriksen would partner with Bruno up ahead so he sat deep or as deep as our high line would allow. Something Casemiro would have forgotten to do hence catching is on the counter.


Plus, Amrabat is slow, why over commit? Evans is experienced enough to know not to overcommit as he's a CB, and Maguire knows he's slow, so why overcommit?
