Christianity EtcWhen God Breathes I by kpakpandoN(op): 8:19am On Jan 03, 2023
The first thing you need to know about our topic for today “When God Breathes” is that God does not breathe to survive like we humans do. Someone who cannot die definitely does not need to breathe to stay alive. Thus, when we say that God breathes, it means that something rare and special is about to happen. Genesis 2:7 says:

And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostriis the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

The Almighty God, who does not need to breathe to remain alive, decided to breathe because He wanted to give life to a non-living thing. He breathed on ordinary clay, and it became a living soul. When He breathes on the dead, they come to life. That is how powerful the breath of God is, and believe me honestly, as humans, one thing or the other will seem to be dead in our lives at one point or the other, so we all need God to breathe on us.

Romans 4:19 says not only was Sarah’s womb dead, her husband’s body was dead too, but the One who can breathe life into the dead brought it back to life. He does not only breathe on dead wombs; He can also breathe on dead businesses, careers, marriages, ministries and many more.

You may have noticed an area of your life where there has been no progress for years; you would need God to breathe on it and bring it to life. Genesis 49:22 says “Joseph is a fruitful bough, even a fruitful bough by a well; whose branches run over the wall”. Joseph prospered everywhere he went – even as a slave (Genesis 39:2), a prisoner (Genesis 39:21-23) and then as a prime minister (Genesis 41:41).

Psalm 128:1 shows the secret of Joseph’s fruitfulness – he feared the Lord and walked in His ways. You have to stop committing sin and walk in the ways of the Lord, then you would find out that what had seemed dead before would begin to bear fruit. I pray that God will give you the grace to fear Him and to always do His will, in Jesus’ name.

Christianity EtcSetting And Achieving Goals II by kpakpandoN(op): 6:30am On Jan 02, 2023
After you have received your vision for the year from God, the next step is to write it (Habakkuk 2:2). Many times, the reason we don’t achieve what we set out to, is simply that we never wrote it down. God’s recommendation for running with a vision is to, first and foremost, write it down. Have you received an idea or instruction from the Lord? Go ahead and write it down now. In the course of doing this, you are bringing it to life; you are taking it from the spirit realm to the physical. Writing it is your first step towards achieving it. You are to write it down along with what you will do to achieve it.

The next step will be to “make it plain upon tables”. In making it plain, you can break it into objectives or smaller goals, and as you accomplish each of them, you’ll get closer to achieving the entire vision. Note that Habakkuk 2:2 says ‘tables’ and not ‘table’. You are therefore to paste it everywhere around you where you will keep seeing it over and over again. When you do that, you and those the Lord has prepared to support you can begin to run with it.

Now, beyond writing down what to do to achieve the vision, you must also take note of the things not to do to ensure that your vision is fulfilled. Matthew 9:17 says:

Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.

You cannot achieve new things with old habits. There are some friends who pulled you back last year; you need to dissociate yourself from them this year. Check your morning routines last year; did they help you get the best out of your days? If not, then you need to change them. How was your relationship with God last year? If it was shaky, then you must be determined to draw closer to Him this year than ever before. Remember, if the Lord does not build a house, those who try to build it are merely wasting their time (Psalm 127:1).

Christianity EtcSetting And Achieving Goals I by kpakpandoN(op): 6:06am On Jan 01, 2023
Every New Year typically comes with renewed hope, encouraging many people to set new goals. Yes, it is important to set goals; however, it is more important to ensure that they align with God’s will for your life. Let us consider God’s recommendation for setting goals as captured in Habakkuk 2:1, which says:

I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me…

Have you asked the Lord about His plans for you this year? Have you waited on Him to know what exactly He will have you pursue this year? If you haven’t, please spend some time seeking His face for divine direction.

Speed is not always synonymous with progress. If you are speeding away in the wrong direction, you will discover that you have gone backwards rather than forward at the end of the day. Only God, who created you for His purpose knows the direction you should be going per time, so always ask him for guidance. Remember, a way that seems right may have death at its end (Proverbs 14:12).

There was a time when we were organising crusades across various cities in Nigeria. When we were scheduled to move to the southern part of the country, I asked God for His will and He told us to go to Ede instead, a town in the western part of the country. I responded that we had just been to Ife (a town just a few kilometres away from Ede) but I still went ahead to obey Him.

At the crusade, the king of Ede, a Muslim, promised to gift us whatever size of land we desired. As we were about to mention a size we considered huge enough, the Lord directed us to ask for a whole lot more. Humanly speaking, it didn’t make sense to make such a request, but we obeyed God, and the king granted our request. Today, the Redeemer’s University and the School of Missions are situated on that land. Let God be the One to show you the goals to pursue this year. If it is His vision, you are assured of His provision and support until you achieve it.

Christianity EtcNever Provoke God by kpakpandoN(op): 6:05am On Dec 30, 2022
The greatest mistake anyone can ever make in life is to provoke the Almighty God. 1 John 4:8 tells us that God is love. He is not just a loving God, He is love personified, but Hebrews 12:29 also says He is a consuming fire. Every coin has two sides. On one side of God, you have love – love so great that He gave His only begotten Son for our sake. On the other side, however, He is a consuming fire. Thus when you hear of people who talk about God as love only, about grace 100% of the time and nothing more, stay away from them. God is indeed kind, merciful, and loving, but don’t mess with Him because He is a consuming fire. If He loves you specially and you fool around with Him, He will deal with you. The word of God made it clear in Hebrews 12:6:
“For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.”

You would think the Bible would say that whosoever the Father loves, He kisses, but that is not what it says. If you know that what you are doing is wrong and have been corrected severally yet you refuse to yield, then you are very likely provoking Him to anger already. You had better stop doing that thing you know He does not like. Proverbs 29:1 says:
“He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.”

Nobody can tell me that because God loves you, you can go ahead and do whatever you like. If you can do whatever you like, it is likely that He has forsaken you, because the Bible made it clear in Hebrews 12:8:
“But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.”

For those who say, "Pastor Adeboye is legalistic, he is always talking law", I didn’t write the Bible. It is stated there clearly in both the Old and New Testaments that if you are doing wrong and God is not punishing you for it, then you are a bastard, and bastards will not be admitted into the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 7:21-23).

Christianity EtcSacrificial Giving by kpakpandoN(op): 7:39am On Dec 29, 2022
In Luke 21:1-4, we read about a widow who gave her all and the Lord Jesus was very impressed with her. He said she gave more than others even though what she gave was not as much as theirs.

Many people, when they want to be miserly, will take that story and say, "This is my widows mite". They are deceiving themselves because I will tell them, firstly, you are not a widow. Secondly, you are not giving your all. It is when you have given your all that you can use that example.

When you bring something to God that costs you nothing, it holds little value in His sight. In fact, sometimes, He sees peoples offerings and feels insulted. He knows how much He gave to them, yet when they bring an offering, they bring it to Him as though He were a beggar. No wonder God ignores the offerings of many. David's statement in 2 Samuel 24:24 where he said he would never give to God what cost him nothing should be one of our watchwords whenever we want to give to God.

Psalms 126:5-6 says:
“They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.”

When taking your seed to God, check it: can it be described as a precious seed? It is those who go with what amounts to a precious seed who will doubtless come again rejoicing. Proverbs 11:25 says it is the liberal soul that will be made fat, not the miserly one. It is with what measure you sow that your harvest will come. 2 Corinthians 9:6 says:
“But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.”

Don’t give unto God what will cost you nothing. You can decide the volume of your harvest by the size of what you sow.

Christianity EtcDivine Love IV by kpakpandoN(op): 6:16am On Dec 28, 2022
The divine love of God makes Him set a person up for uncommon miracles. Solomon offered a thousand burnt offerings in one day; this moved God to ask him for what he wanted and he said, "Give me wisdom". God responded to his request by saying, "I will give you wisdom and add every other thing you didn’t ask for". I spent some time studying Solomon because of his wisdom and prosperity. I had to ask myself "This was a young man who knew he was not wise, because that must have been why he asked for wisdom; how come he thought of giving God a thousand burnt offerings?" I then got a revelation from the Lord - it was a divine set-up. It is God who inspired Solomon to do something nobody had ever done before so that He, in turn, could do for him what He had never done for anyone before.

In 2 Samuel 12:24-25, the Bible says that when Solomon was born, God Himself called him Jedidiah, meaning Beloved of the Lord. When God loves you, from time to time, He will set you up for an uncommon miracle. He will inspire you to do something that will sound stupid to everybody else so that He can give you what nobody else can get.

One day, when my Father-in-the-Lord was still alive, he told all the Church workers that there was an urgent need in the Church that had to be met early that week, so he asked us all to go and close our accounts, then bring all the money to the Church. My wife and I went to the bank the next day, closed our accounts, then brought the money to Church. The next Sunday, my Father-in-the Lord announced to all workers that the need had been met, then asked "Wait a minute; how many of you closed your accounts?" Only my wife and I raised our hands. When I realised that we were the only ones who closed our accounts, I started to think, "I hope I have not added madness to my own Christianity?" Just then I heard the Lord speak to me, "Son, you are not mad, I have made you do something that nobody else will do, so that when I take you to where I am taking you to, nobody can complain".

Is the Lord inspiring you to do something seemingly crazy for Him? Do it so that you don’t miss the opportunity to get an uncommon miracle.

The very first time I read Isaiah 63:9, I couldn’t believe my eyes. The first sentence really surprised me.

“In all their affliction he was afflicted...”

Whenever those that God loves are afflicted, He is afflicted too. No wonder in Matthew 25:37-40, Jesus referred to Himself as the one in prison, the one who was hungry and so on, while the people He was talking to saw other humans in those situations. Anytime God's beloved is in pain, He is in pain too. Galatians 6:10 says:
“As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.”

It makes sense that when we, His beloved, are in pain, He is in pain too. When you see someone you love in pain, you wish that the pain could be transferred to you. Each time someone you love is suffering, you are suffering too. This explains 1 Peter 2:24 to us:
“Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.”

What He is saying there is, 'Let your sickness fall on me'. He was saying I would rather die than see you die. This gives me the assurance that aches and pains cannot stay in my body. You can say confidently to any pain in your body, Jesus and I cannot suffer for the same thing. He has already suffered my pain, so I cannot be in pain again. If death tries to threaten you, tell him, Jesus died so that I can live. It is because of Jesus' love for me that I know I can never be poor. 2 Corinthians 8:9 says:
“For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.”

Surrender your life to Jesus Christ and forsake all your sins if you also want to experience this special divine love.

Christianity EtcDivine Love II by kpakpandoN(op): 6:40am On Dec 26, 2022
Divine love is good, but then, what are the benefits of being loved by God? Let us use Lazarus as a case study. Lazarus was sick and his sisters sent to Jesus saying, Lord, behold, he whom thou lovest is sick. Jesus loved Lazarus and it was obvious to everyone, but what was His reply?

“When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.”
John 11:4

When God falls in love with you, every challenge you face will lead to a testimony. The day you discover that you are beloved of God, you can begin to rejoice because each time a challenge comes, God is going to bring a testimony out of it for you. In fact, the greater the problem, the greater should be your rejoicing.

For those who God loves, He will from time to time give them a new testimony, and you cannot have a new testimony except you have a new problem. A testimony is the result of a problem that is miraculously solved. That is why when I face challenges, I rejoice. I rejoice because a new challenge means a new testimony is on the way. In fact, those of us who are convinced beyond any doubt that He loves us look forward to challenges because we know that, with every challenge, there would be a miracle around the corner.

Do you believe that God loves you? If you do, why do you worry so much about the challenges facing you? Why do you lose sleep over something that He has already decided to use to bring glory to His name? Beloved of God, don’t worry yourself unnecessarily. You can relax, God is planning to use your story to show the whole world how great He is. You just ensure that you don’t do anything to make Him change His mind about loving you, then leave the rest to Him. He will shock your enemies.

Christianity EtcDivine Love I by kpakpandoN(op): 6:42am On Dec 25, 2022
Divine love is the love that is of God. This is a love that gives all. John 3:16 says God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son. This is a love that does not hold back at all. Romans 8:32 says:
“He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?”

The day Jesus Christ was crucified, He was stripped naked He surrendered all! Divine love is powerful because it is unchangeable. 1 John 4:8 says God is love. Thus the love of God cannot change because God Himself cannot change (Hebrews 13:8, Malachi 3:6). This means that when God falls in love with you, it is until the end. The latter part of John 13:1 says:
“having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.”

If you have never been disappointed by a friend yet, get ready, it may occur anytime. By the time you are as old as I am, you may have been disappointed by many friends. God, however, never disappoints. He is the One who says, I will never leave you nor forsake you and believe me honestly, He means it.

God has two levels of people He loves. There is the general love He has for everybody. That is the love spoken of in John 3:16. It is because of this love that Jesus came to die for everybody. It is because of this love that we all enjoy rain, the sun and the likes (Matthew 5:45).

However, 1 John 4:19 says, "We love Him, because He first loved us". This set of people who reciprocate His general love get to enjoy His greater love. These are the ones about whom He says I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me (Proverbs 8:17).

To enjoy this great divine love, you have to love Him and He says in John 14:15 "If ye love me, keep my commandments". If you want to enjoy this unfailing love, holiness is a must.

Christianity EtcBe Faithful To Your Calling by kpakpandoN(op): 7:07am On Dec 24, 2022
The Almighty God, our heavenly Father, made each and every one of us for a purpose. It does not matter the circumstances of your birth, God brought you into this world and called you to fulfil a specific purpose. Not everyone is called to be a Pastor, but everyone is called to fulfil a purpose. Ephesians 2:10 says:
“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”

If you have found that good work for which God formed you, focus on it. What God wants for each of His children is for us to find our place and stay there. The one who was called to be in politics should not decide to become a Pastor and the one called to academics should not decide to go into farming. Everyone has his own assignment in this world and God will reward you, not based on how much work you have done, but if you fulfilled the purpose for which He formed you.

lf you have not discovered that good work for which He formed you yet, you need to really pray for Him to reveal it to you. You need to be very clear about it and not make assumptions. For example, you may have the talent to sing, but your purpose may not be to become a musician. The talent could only be a tool to fulfilling your purpose. Joseph was a dreamer and an interpreter of dreams. Had he made assumptions, he would have thought his calling was to interpret peoples dreams. He spoke on his purpose in Genesis 45:7 thus: "And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance".

The interpretation of dreams and even talent in administration were just tools to fulfilling His God-given purpose. Thank God he recognized that purpose, he might have missed it by trying to retaliate against his brothers.

lf God gives you a natural talent to handle scissors excellently, don’t conclude that you are called to be a fashion designer; barbers also use scissors. Pray and get a clear direction as to what God has called you to do on earth, and be faithful to that calling.

Christianity EtcDon't Cause Others To Stumble II by kpakpandoN(op): 11:11am On Dec 23, 2022
Those who serve in the house of God have a serious responsibility to the people they minister to. As God’s representative to the flock, you are supposed to care for them and live an exemplary life that removes all stumbling blocks from their way. God values each soul in the congregation. In Acts 20:28, the Bible says:
Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

God did not buy the Church back with the blood of goats or the sacrifice of an angel. It cost God His Son to save the world. If we understood this as ministers, we would see the importance of living a life that does not insult the gospel of Christ. Beloved minister, be very careful about becoming a rock of offence to God’s people. Luke 17:1-2 says:
Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come! It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.

These are the words of Jesus Himself. If you are a minister of God, check your life to be sure you are not leading the flock astray. If you do not place much importance on the word of God, the people who follow you will find it easy to disregard God’s word. If you never preach about the eternal damnation that will come to a soul who continues in sin because you don’t want the flock to be uncomfortable, you are building people who would be indifferent about where they would spend their eternity, and their blood would be on your head. James 3:1 says:
My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.

Ministers of God will receive a stricter judgement. What example are you setting for your flock? I pray that, when the Master returns, you will not be ashamed.

Christianity EtcDon't Cause Others To Stumble I by kpakpandoN(op): 7:07am On Dec 22, 2022
When we refuse to let the light of Jesus shine through our lives by the way we live, we hinder others from coming to the glorious Lord. The gospel of Jesus Christ is sometimes mocked on account of many so-called believers. Romans 2:24 tells us:
“For the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you, as it is written.”

Don’t let this be your testimony, where heaven would say that you are the one hindering someone from coming to the knowledge of the Most High. God's will is that all men would be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4). It is a dangerous thing for you to be the reason someone would not choose to come to Christ. Hophni and Phinehas – sons of Eli the priest, abused their positions until the people started to despise the Lord's offering. Their end was not good (1 Samuel 2:12-17, 4:11). Romans 14:13. says:
“Let us not therefore judge one another anymore: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumbling block or an occasion to fall in his brother’s way.”

It is better not to be known as a Christian than to be known as one, but still be living like a sinner. While you may be deceiving yourself, you are also putting a stumbling block on the way for sinners who should come to know the Lord. As long as they keep seeing the way you live, they would think, Well, his life is not different from mine. Why should I become a Christian? Don’t claim to be a Christian if you won’t live like Christ.

Many people have used their lives to hinder the salvation of others. These people will receive the judgement of God if they do not change. God did not give His only begotten Son Jesus Christ, so that someone somewhere would be playing games with the souls of men. If He paid the high price by giving Jesus Christ for us so we can be saved from eternal damnation, then you can be sure that He will do anything possible – including disgracing a hypocrite who claims to be a Christian so He can save more sinners. Don’t stand in God’s way. Live a life that pleases God, so you would be found to be on His side when He is fighting all the demons keeping people in the prison.

Christianity EtcGod's Standard by kpakpandoN(op): 7:37am On Dec 21, 2022
Knowing God is not the same as going to Church. The evidence that you know God is that you love Him and others. Some people prize spiritual gifts above love, but God is only interested in the person who loves Him, as seen in 1 Corinthians 8:3:
“But if any man love God, the same is known of him.”

You prove your love for God by obeying His commandments. John 14:15 says: “If ye love me, keep my commandments.”

It is easy to profess to be a Christian, but are you really living a Christ-like life?

Many years ago, you could tell a person is genuinely born again by how vibrant he or she is for the Lord. In today’s world, there are so many fellows who claim to be Christians but are not. God's standard has not changed.

2 Timothy 2:19 says:
“Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.”

Only those who meet God's standard are qualified to be called Christians. Any fellow whose actions contradict that of Jesus Christ is not a Christian at all. A man who loves God will not sin secretly. Even if he falls into sin, he would try to get out of it. When you fall into sin, do you say, Well, everybody is doing it and then continue to go against God's command, or do you try to get out of it?

When Jesus comes back to take His own, He will call for His sheep to meet with Him (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17). He said that His sheep know His voice (John 10:27). Thus, on that day, if you do not meet up with the standard of God for His sheep, you will not even hear Him call at all, hence, you would be left behind. You have the opportunity to drop every sin and meet up with His standard of complete obedience now. Beloved, give up those sins and commit to living holy now, before it becomes too late.

Christianity EtcAre You Still A Baby Christian? by kpakpandoN(op): 6:42am On Dec 20, 2022
We see from Galatians 4:1that an heir is likened to a servant if that heir is still a child. In the same vein, the devil will toss around a child of God if he or she is not mature. This alone tells you that spiritual maturity is a must for every child of God. There are people who have been born again for 10 years yet God has not healed even a headache through them. How are they to get developed? 1 Peter 2:2 says:
“As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:”

The more of God’s word you consume, the more mature you become spiritually. As you keep studying your Bible from day to day, you will be steered by the Spirit in the word of God to do all the other things needed for your spiritual growth. If you spend quality time studying your Bible, you will hate sin; you will fast and pray regularly, love your neighbour as yourself, and many other qualities of mature Christians will be built in you.

Don’t waste the time you should spend building your relationship with God on frivolities. Don’t eat when you should be fasting. Don’t sleep when you should be praying. Don’t spend time on entertainment, when you should be studying your Bible. A woman who does not take responsibility to grow her relationship with God, but wants to marry a God-fearing man, is just wasting her time. A good father will not allow his committed son to marry a wayward lady. Also, if the devil meets you as a baby Christian, that is trouble.

A woman had a dream where a mad man came to her doorstep and started knocking furiously. She opened the door and chased the mad man away, but he stayed there and kept saying, Leave me alone. Leave me alone. It is your husband I have come to see. In the dream, the husband came to the door, saw the mad man and allowed him to come into the house. This woman's husband fell sick and died a few months later. Had the husband been spiritually mature enough, he would have chased that mad man away in the spirit realm. My beloved don’t leave your spiritual life unattended to; there are terrible consequences for remaining spiritually immature.

When a fellow fails to plant when he should, he will not harvest at the normal time. Furthermore, Proverbs 20:4 says:
“The sluggard will not plow by reason of the cold; therefore shall he beg in harvest, and have nothing.”

If you don't plant when you ought to, you would have nothing to harvest. If you want a bountiful harvest, you must be willing to sow bountifully. 2 Corinthians 9:6 says:
“But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.”

A long time ago, when The Redeemed Christian Church of God was still quite small, I used my salary to pay most of the staff and had nothing left. At some point, I had to go into early retirement in order to carry out my duties as General Overseer more effectively and I had a lot of expectations concerning my gratuity. In the middle of all my plans, I remembered that I had not asked God for what to do with the gratuity, so I did. God told me to divide the money into three parts: each part was to go to a different ministry. None of these ministries was the one I was leading!

This broke my heart, but God assured me that He would be my Source. It has been over forty years now and up to today, He has never failed me and I know He never will.

Bountiful harvests will cost you big seeds. If the Lord is asking you to give bountifully, He is planning to reward you bountifully. You will not lose your opportunity, in Jesus name.

Christianity EtcWhy You Should Speak In Tongues by kpakpandoN(op): 6:24am On Dec 18, 2022
There is one great and powerful gift that God has given to the New Testament Church; unfortunately, many take it for granted. That gift is the Holy Spirit and especially, speaking in tongues. The Bible says that when you speak in tongues, it is the Holy Spirit praying for you.

“Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.”
Romans 8:26

The Holy Spirit Himself is praying for you. You can be sure that He will pray the right prayers and they will all be answered because He is the Spirit of God Himself who will bring the answers to you. The gift of the Holy Spirit is such a powerful one!

Imagine that you need a job in a big company and the owner sends his only son to help you. The son meets you, becomes your friend, then introduces you to another relative who helps you to write the application letter. Also, the only people who will sit at the panel where your application for this job is to be reviewed are the owner of the company, his son and this relative of theirs. I am sure you know already that you would get the job.

God is the owner of this big company and He is the one who sent Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son who becomes your friend when you get born again. The Holy Spirit is the family member the Son introduces to you and even places inside you. Speaking in tongues is the Holy Spirit writing your request to God for you. You can now see why you should speak in tongues more often.

If you speak in tongues for at least one hour every day, your life will be smoother than if you only speak in tongues once in a while. There is a lot happening in the spirit realm that you don’t know. The Holy Spirit however, knows all things and will say the right prayers through you when you speak in tongues. The Holy Spirit in you helps you pray in tongues to navigate around dangers and optimise opportunities in your future that you don’t know about yet. Speaking in tongues is a powerful gift; use it.

Christianity EtcWhen God Rises by kpakpandoN(op): 6:10am On Dec 17, 2022
When God rises, an end comes to every form of torment in the lives of His children because the only enemies He has are those of His children. Sometimes, when God needs to get something done, He sends His angels and they do the work. However, once in a while, He rises by Himself and goes to do what needs to be done. When God rises on your behalf, all your problems would be over. If you can master how to get God to rise on your behalf over and over again, no enemy would ever be able to withstand you.

You can get God to arise through praise and worship. When you pray to Him, He can send an angel to bring the answer to your prayers to you, but when you praise Him, He will come by Himself to receive your adoration. John 4:23 says “But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him”.

In Acts 12:3-11, God heard the prayer of the saints and sent an angel to set Peter free. The angel went to the prison and set only Peter free. However, in Acts 16:23-29, when Paul and Silas praised God in the prison, He went by Himself into the prison and everyone who was bound got loosed.

In 2 Chronicles 20:22-23, when Jehoshaphat led the people of Judah to war, the Bible says:
“And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten. For the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of mount Seir, utterly to slay and destroy them: and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, every one helped to destroy another.”

God wants to arise and set you free completely, but you must do your part. Create time today to worship God for at least one hour. Praise Him until you can feel His presence strongly in the room where you are, until you know that He has risen on your behalf and scattered all your enemies. Go ahead and praise the Most High God now.

Christianity EtcCover Your Children by kpakpandoN(op): 6:19am On Dec 16, 2022
Many a time, when the devil wants to attack a family, he goes by the principle that If you cannot get the trunk, go for the branches; if you cannot get the father, go for the son. If you cannot get the mother, go for the daughter. He then begins to attack the children. In Matthew 15:21-28, the woman that came to Jesus Christ said, “The devil is vexing my daughter”. In Matthew 17:14-18, a man came to Jesus Christ and said, “The devil is vexing my son”. In 1 Samuel 2:22-36, the Bible tells us that it is the sons of Eli that destroyed his legacy. For many Christians, the only problem they have is with their children. That will come to an end today, in Jesus’ name.

Many years ago, I was invited to preach to a group of eminent personalities in lkoyi, Lagos, Nigeria and I had prepared to minister on the topic “You need a miracle”. I was told to sit in the sitting room of the host while other guests arrived. From where I sat, I could see four other sitting rooms in ascending order of splendour. I wanted to change my topic because I believed that this fellow did not need a miracle at all. God then spoke to me and said, “The family needs a miracle more than you know”. They had one son and he was a drug addict. When his mother refused to give him any more money to buy drugs, he decided to deal with her and so, when she was travelling, he planted drugs in her handbag. She got to Britain before she was found out and arrested but she was able to wriggle her way out of the problem.

After the sermon, the Almighty God stepped into the situation, the boy gave his life to Christ, and the yoke was destroyed. I decree right now: the Almighty God will convert every child giving you trouble, in Jesus’ name.

Start covering your children with the blood of Jesus right from when they are young. The Bible says that the blood of Jesus has power to overcome the devil. When the devil sees the blood of Jesus on your children, he will run away. Every single day, ensure you cover your children with the blood of Jesus. Don’t wait until you see any signs of them misbehaving, cover them from now. The devil’s plan will fail over your children, in Jesus’ name.

Christianity EtcSpare Parts In Heaven by kpakpandoN(op): 6:45am On Dec 15, 2022
I once heard the story of a man who visited heaven and came back. He said in heaven, he was shown a room where there were many spare parts of human bodies. When he asked what they were all for, he was told that they were there to be given to people on earth whose body parts might have been damaged and in need of new ones. That is good news for someone who needs a new body part; ask God for yours today and He will give you from His store.

The Bible says that Naamans skin returned to him like that of a baby. That was a new skin. In Mark 3:1-5, the Lord Jesus gave a man with a withered hand a new one. In John 9:1-7, Jesus met a man who was born without eyes and He gave him a new pair. Whenever you read in the Bible that Jesus made a leprous fellow whole, what happened was that the chopped off fingers or ear lobes were replaced with new ones.

God can replace that part of your body that needs changing, if you ask Him.

There was a family in which the parents were Professors, but their son was a dullard. If I were to describe him in my native tongue, I would say where the brain was supposed to be, there was only water there. This boy never passed any exam. He would always come last in his class, with the worst results. When moved from a class of 33 students to one of 40, his position moved from 33rd to 40th. His parents got him the best of teachers and yet he kept on failing. One day, we had a programme at the University where they lived; we prayed a simple prayer for this boy. At the next examination that the boy sat for, he came first in the class. His teachers said that was not possible because they knew that, even if the boy was given the answers to copy in the exam hall, he would copy them wrong. Thus they gave him another test and he scored even higher in that one. God had given him a brand-new brain.

My Daddy is the God of all flesh. He has all human spare parts in His store; just ask Him and He will give you what you need. Nothing is too hard for Him to do.

Christianity EtcThe Contagious Blessing by kpakpandoN(op): 6:28am On Dec 14, 2022
When God really blesses a man, people around him will also feel the impact of that blessing. In Luke 5:4-7 when Peter had a net-breaking catch, he needed his colleagues to help him carry the fish out of the water in their boats because his alone could not contain the haul. God can prosper your entire family just because of you. The government can establish some policies that will favour your entire neighbourhood just because of you. That is what I call a 'Contagious Blessing'.

In Acts 27:22-44, Apostle Paul happened to be lost at sea in a ship with 276 men. The men panicked because there seemed to be no hope of survival, but because Paul was in that ship, none of them died. In fact, the Bible says that God gave all the people in the ship to Paul; he was in charge of them all, including his captors (Acts 27:24). Furthermore, the centurion stopped the soldiers from killing all the prisoners in the ship because he wanted to save Paul’s life. Talk about a contagiously blessed man!

I know we usually pray at the end of the days discussion, but you should take a minute now and pray, saying, "Father, please let me associate with people whose blessings will rub off on me, in Jesus name".

Genesis 30:1-5 tells the story of Joseph as a slave in Potiphar’s house. The Bible says that though he was a slave, Potiphar prospered because Joseph worked in his house. Your company will prosper because of you, in Jesus name.

lt is easy to recognize a contagiously blessed fellow in any organisation because the moment the person starts to work there, profits will increase. Somehow, sales will improve and money will overflow. If the blessed one is a business person, everyone will want to partner with him or her because they know that doing so would result in great success. I pray for you again from the depth of my heart: you will be contagiously blessed. Your nation will become the largest exporter of whatever you sell because of you, in Jesus name. Your entire family and lineage will never know poverty again because of you, in Jesus name.

Christianity EtcGrace Is Not A License To Sin by kpakpandoN(op): 7:10am On Dec 13, 2022
Grace is the supernatural ability given to us by God to live in constant obedience to Him. The Bible says in Romans 6:14:
For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

Grace is not a license to sin. Grace is an enablement to do the will of God. If victory over sin was impossible, Christ would not have died. His death would have been in vain. Matthew 1:21 says:
And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.

If you belong to Jesus Christ, God will give you grace to live above sin so that it would no longer control you. Don’t let the false teachers deceive you into believing that grace gives you the liberty to sin; the wages of sin is still death. God is coming back for a Church without any spot or wrinkle. If you want to be a part of that Church, then you have to stay away from sin.

That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
Ephesians 5:27

If you have sinned, God is willing to have mercy on you because of His grace, but if you decide to take that grace for granted by making sin a habit, then you are calling for damnation. The Bible says that God forbids it that you continue in sin, using the excuse of His abundant grace.

What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
Romans 6:1-2

A true born-again Christian will be seeking the grace of God so as to be completely dead to sin and not as an excuse to sin.

Christianity EtcThe Efficacy Of Prayers by kpakpandoN(op): 6:40am On Dec 12, 2022
Someone brought a young man to me many years ago. His wife who he had just recently married had run mad and gone to the market square naked. Though the case seemed hopeless, the young man did not want to give up. They had taken the woman to a herbalists place already but she wasn’t getting better. When I went to pray for her, I found her tied down in chains. I prayed for her for two minutes and left. The fellow at the herbalists place called the young man on the phone and told him that the Pastor who came to pray for the lady must be a joker. He wondered how someone could come and spend only two minutes praying for a case as serious as this was. The young man was disappointed, so he decided to take his wife to the psychiatric hospital. When they got there, the Professor decided to observe her for seven days to know what kind of drugs he would administer. After seven days, he called the husband and told him there was nothing wrong with his wife. In two minutes, the seemingly hopeless problem was solved.

The efficacy of a prayer is not in how long it is but in how long the fellow praying has been in the presence of God. Jesus Christ never rolled up His sleeves before He prayed for anyone. Even the prayer that brought Lazarus back from the dead after four days was less than two minutes. This is because He had spent a lot of time, many times the whole night, in the presence of God

When Elijah prayed the prayer in the Bible reading for today, he did not sweat. The prayer took less than two minutes and fire fell. That is because Elijah was always on a mountain and we all know that you go to the mountain to pray.

A two-minute prayer that can cause God to send down fire is not reserved for a set of people; anybody can pray such prayers too, as long as you are willing to really spend time in the presence of God behind closed doors. If you are willing to spend hours just worshipping Him, to have your eyes glued to your Bible and your study notes for hours just getting to know God more, to spend top quality time with Him and not just rush in and out of His presence, then you will be able to pray for just two minutes and miracles would happen.

Christianity EtcSin And Sickness by kpakpandoN(op): 6:38am On Dec 11, 2022
Sin brings affliction upon people, but healing will come when they repent and turn to God. The Bible tells us in Psalms 119:67:
“Before I was afflicted I went astray: but now have I kept thy word.”

Whenever a sick person who had been a sinner before falling sick came to Jesus in the Bible, He would forgive the person of his or her sin first and foremost, before getting rid of the sickness. The sin has to go before the healing can come. If you have sinned against God, you must go before Him and ask for mercy, so that He can restore you to Himself and to good health.

God will send you a word today that will deliver you from destruction, in the mighty name of Jesus.

Confess your sins to Him and make up your mind that you will no longer live a life of sin. It is a dangerous thing to continue in sin, especially after God has delivered you from one form of demonic oppression or another.

In Luke 11:24-26, Jesus tells us what will happen when a man has been healed but still continues in his sin:
“When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out. And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.”

If death suddenly catches up with a sinner, he will go to hell. Turn to God and repent of your sins. Start to live a life of holiness, and God will send you a word that will restore your soul. Anyone who isn’t God's friend is already walking on the path of destruction. According to #Psalm 9:17, such a fellow is set on his or her way to hell already.

You will reign with Christ at the end of days, in the mighty name of Jesus.

Christianity EtcGod Controls Fruitfulness by kpakpandoN(op): 6:13am On Dec 10, 2022
It is God who decides who will be fruitful. In Genesis 29:31, the Bible says when God saw that Leah was hated, He opened her womb. He decides who will be fruitful and who wouldn’t. I believe God is bringing this revelation to someone today so that you will put all your trust and hope in Him, and then He will open your womb, in Jesus name.

Rachel wanted her womb opened, but she was looking in the wrong place. In Genesis 30:1-2 , she said her husband should give her a child or she would die and he asked her if he was God. In Genesis 30:22-24 , the Bible says that God remembered Rachel and opened her womb. The fact that He opened her womb tells us that He had shut it before. Revelation 3:7 tells us that He has the key of David and when He opens, no man can shut; when He shuts, no man can open. Every womb that has been shut will be opened today, in Jesus name. It doesn’t matter if the devil thinks he has shut your womb. The Key of David is a Master Key. When God opens your womb with it, the devils key becomes useless.

Fruitfulness, however, goes beyond having children. There can be the womb of business, career, ideas and so on. In Luke 5:1-7 , Peter fished all night and caught nothing. The womb of success was closed to him until the One who has the Key of David visited him and opened it unto him. By the next time he launched into the deep, the one who had nothing before caught so much fish that he had to share with his colleagues. When God opens your womb of success, you will get a breakthrough that will be so big, it would be impossible for you to enjoy it alone. The womb of your success shall be opened this month, in Jesus name.

There are two things you need to do for God to open your womb. Firstly, look to God and God alone for your success. He will teach you what to do like He taught Peter where to cast his net. Secondly, don’t give up hope. Peter almost missed his breakthrough because he had lost hope. He was reluctant to cast the net but only did it because he wanted to be polite. You may be just one step away from that big breakthrough. God has already opened your womb now; launch out and bring in your catch.

Christianity EtcNo Excuses by kpakpandoN(op): 6:19am On Dec 09, 2022
It is in the nature of the fallen man to blame others for their misdeeds. Right from the beginning in Genesis 3:9-14, when God asked Adam why he had sinned, he said, it is the fault of the woman you gave me. God turned to the woman and asked, Eve, why have you done this? She responded, The serpent deceived me. The only fellow who didn’t give an excuse was the serpent. The serpent could have said, The devil entered me, but the animal proved to be more responsible for its actions than man.

When you see a person who is always giving excuses, you have seen a failure. Giving excuses is one major characteristic of failures. In the story of the talents in Matthew 25:14-30 , the servants who had five and two talents simply gave a report of their trade to the master. The only person who had an excuse was the one who failed. He could have succeeded, but he chose to cook up an excuse; he decided to fail. Anytime you are tempted to give an excuse, remind yourself, I am not a failure. If you know that no matter what happens, you will not give an excuse, you would sit up and do your very best. Many people use the government and the state of the economy as excuses for their financial situation, whereas some others are coming out of poverty under the same government and economic situations. Never permit yourself to give excuses at all, unless you want to end up a failure.

If somehow, you were unable to get something right, instead of giving an excuse, own up to your fault. When it goes right, you receive the commendation, so when it goes wrong, you should be prepared to take the blame too. If you arrived late to a meeting and are asked Why did you come late? Don’t say, The traffic was heavy. You should have researched the route and factored the traffic into your travel time, even if it means you would have to get on the road hours ahead of the meeting. When you are asked, Why are you not fasting and you say, I have issues with my stomach rather than admitting that you are not disciplined enough to stay away from food, that is an excuse.

Decide today: no more excuses!

Christianity EtcGiving Is Personal by kpakpandoN(op): 6:19am On Dec 08, 2022
Many a time, when families go to worship God, the father distributes offerings to everyone so that they can have something to give. It is okay when you give to the little children who don’t have any money so that they can cultivate the habit of giving, but when the older ones and your spouse who have their own money are also collecting their offerings from you, you need to teach them better. In 2 Samuel 24:18-24, David refused to accept the offer of Araunah because what you give to God that is at no cost to you is accounted to the one who bore the cost, not you.

Giving is a personal matter. If your children collect pocket money, teach them to set aside some of it to give to God. If your spouse makes some money, encourage him or her to give to God from it. It is where the money is coming from that the blessing will go to. Ecclesiastes 1:7 says “All the rivers run into the sea; yet the sea is not full; unto the place from where the rivers come, thither they return again.”

Galatians 6:7 says “Be not deceived, God is not mocked; whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap”. You cannot reap what I sowed; it is what you sowed that you would reap. Luke 6:38 says “Give and it shall be given unto you, good measure, pressed down… shall men give unto your bosom”. It is he or she who gives that will receive.

Who do you think took home the twelve extra baskets from the story of the feeding of five thousand men by Jesus Christ in John 6:5-13? Since there were twelve baskets, each disciple could carry a basket to the house of the boy who gave his lunch. It is the fellow who sowed that will reap the harvest.

Giving is a personal matter particularly because of the day of trouble. Psalm 41:1-3 says if you are a giver, when you are sick, God will visit you. He will even make your bed at the time of sickness. In Psalm 20:1-3, the Bible makes it clear that God does not forget your offerings, particularly in the time of crisis. There are special blessings that are meant for givers and cannot be enjoyed by misers. It is he that waters that will be watered. When things are dry, the one who watered will in turn be watered in such period.

Christianity EtcThe Ministry Of Angels II by kpakpandoN(op): 6:23am On Dec 07, 2022
For anyone who is not born again, it is dangerous to be around angels. In Acts 12:20-24, Herod was smitten by an angel and worms ate him up because he was filled with pride. In 2 Kings 19:35, when a king thought that he would deal with a child of God, he came with a mighty army and a single angel killed 185,000 soldiers in one night. Anyone not on the side of God would be treading dangerously when walking around angels, everywhere.

On the other hand, anyone who is born again is very safe because there is always at least one angel walking around with him or her. Such a person would have a security detail better than that of the president of the most powerful country on earth. The unfortunate thing, however, is that many born-again Christians have made their angels redundant.

In Acts 12:1-11, Herod took James and killed him, but when he took Peter, an angel came to rescue him. If you look at the difference between both incidents, you will see that when Herod took James, the Church did not pray. They did not activate the ministry of the angel of God, but when he took Peter and they prayed, the angel’s ministry was activated.

There are many things we suffer even though we have angels around us and this is because we don’t pray. When your prayer altar is cold, your angel is rendered redundant. As you make petitions to God either in your understanding or in the Spirit in the place of prayer, God issues instructions to your angels.

Pray to activate the ministry of angels in your life. In (2 Kings 19:20), God sent a message to King Hezekiah thus saying “Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, That which thou hast prayed to me against Sennacherib king of Assyria I have heard”.

It was the prayer of Hezekiah that activated the angel who went out and killed 185,000 soldiers of the Syrian army in 2 Kings 19:35. If he had not prayed, he would have been easy prey for his enemies.

Christianity EtcThe Ministry Of Angels I by kpakpandoN(op): 6:22am On Dec 06, 2022
Hebrews 1:13-14 says that angels are ministering spirits. They are sent to minister to those of us who are heirs of salvation. Once you are born again, at least one angel is allocated to follow you everywhere you go. He is to follow you so that he can protect, assist and defend you. The angel will also monitor your actions and report your activities to God.

It is a beautiful thing to have an angel with you everywhere you go. Whenever the enemies think they have gotten you, your angel can just simply take you out of their hold when they have gone to sleep (Acts 5:17-25 , Acts 12:5-11). Even if you come face to face with lions, an angel will shut their mouths so that they don’t harm you (Daniel 6:19-22 ). With an angel with you everywhere you go, you have the best security in the universe because angels are really strong. The first time you see an angel of God, the first thing he will tell you is, Fear not, because you would really be frightened.

What you get from an angel is determined by whose side you are on. If you are on God's side, the angel will work for you; if you are not, the angel can block your way so that everything you try to do would just be hitting a brick wall. In Numbers 22:21-35 , we read about Balaam who God told not to go with Balak when the latter called for the prophet. Balaam insisted that he wanted to go. An angel blocked the way and was ready to kill him because the Bible says God's anger was kindled against him. If a demon is blocking your way, you can tell it to get out and it would leave, but if an angel stands in your way and you tell him to go, he would ask, "In whose name?" If you say, "In Jesus name", he will say, "It is Jesus that asked me to stand here" and there would be no way to move forward from there. If you don’t want an angel to stand in your way, you had better not annoy God.

It was an angel that ensured that the Egyptians did not get close to the Israelites all night so that they could be drowned in the morning. The angel was rescuing the Israelites while simultaneously pushing the Egyptians towards death. Do not displease God; surrender your life to Jesus and live a holy life so that God's angels will work in your favour.

Christianity EtcGratitude And Testimonies by kpakpandoN(op): 6:18am On Dec 05, 2022
The elders have an adage that says, “The child who is grateful for yesterday’s blessing will receive another”. You must be grateful, not just because God has already done a lot for you, but to open the door for what He will yet do. Some people lose their miracles because they are ungrateful. They lose the support of the Most High God because they cannot just say ‘Thank you’. Those who constantly remember His mercies always experience more and more. Blessings always pursue and overtake them.

Remembering His mercies will help you to develop mountain-moving faith. In Mark 11:22-23, Jesus said if you have faith in God, then you can command mountains to move and they will obey. It is established that God does not change, as we see in Malachi 3:6, where He said, “For I am the Lord, I change not…”. We also see in Hebrews 13:8 that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. Both Scriptures point to the fact that if God did a miracle yesterday, He can do it again today. Thus the more of His benefits you remember, the greater your faith and the more He can do for you. Once you can remember His track record concerning any situation, whenever that situation comes to face you again, you would just laugh because you know you have a Daddy who has tackled it before and will do so again victoriously.

In 1 Samuel 17:34-37, David recounted Lord’s benefits towards him and standing on that, he was sure that the same God who delivered him from the lion and the bear would take care of Goliath. If you can just remember one of God’s miracles in your life, then you can be sure He will do another one. The devil had tried to tell me that the 3km-by-3km auditorium would not be completed. I laughed because that was what he said when we were building the first auditorium which was 100 meters by 50 meters. He said the same thing for the second and third, and now we are in the fourth, so I told him, ‘You are wasting your time; this 3 km-by-3 km is just a baby, the real big one is yet to come”.

Consider whatever mountain that is blocking your way now as just another opportunity for a new testimony.

In Jeremiah 18:1-6, a potter was trying to make a vessel, but it became marred in his hand, so he decided to make another. I preached a sermon over 30 years ago titled "Seeing the Invisible". I gave an illustration in the sermon using a log of wood. When you see a log of wood, you may not observe anything special, but a sculptor could look at it and visualise a lion. He would then take his hammer and chisel, chipping off a little here, a little there. Eventually, the head of the lion would appear. In the course of the sculptors work, the wood could split open suddenly, in which case he could then say to it "Well, I wanted to make a lion out of you, but it looks like I would only be able to make a cat because you have cracked open in a way I did not intend". He would then get to work making the cat but, should he discover another flaw in the wood, he may then say, Okay, I will make a rat out of you. If he discovers even more flaws in the wood, he may then be compelled to use it as frewood.

Song of Solomon 2:15 says:
“Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes.”

The little flaws you ignore in yourself can destroy God's purpose for your life. If you fail to deal with these faults decisively, they will end up hindering God's plan for your life. You may have been told that you talk too much, yet are not doing anything about it. God may have warned you that you eat too much, yet you keep eating irresponsibly. Maybe someone has even told you that you get angry too easily but you claim that people from your tribe are usually like that. These things, little as they may seem, will make it hard for God to fulfil His purpose in your life.

The Potter is very good at His craft, but the clay has to allow the Potters purpose to be fulfilled. Check yourself: between last year and now, have you grown? Have you dropped your bad habits? Have you picked up new habits that will help you fulfil God's purpose for your life? A new year is about to start; get rid of those little foxes that have been spoiling your vine. Don’t be an obstacle to your progress and the fulfilment of God's plans in your life.

Today, I want to help you to praise God. I want to help you see why you really need to praise Him. You don’t know all the battles God fights for you when you were lying helplessly asleep.

Not too long ago, a man brought his daughter to me at the Redemption Camp, all the way from Ilorin, because she told him she was a witch. He told me that he doubted her at first but when she reached under her bed and brought out a pot of fresh human blood, he knew she was not joking.

After we prayed for her deliverance from the spirit of witchcraft, the father said, “Please, let her stay with you”. I said, “Now you want to abandon the girl with me. If God had not been on your side all the days you have been sleeping with that child in the same house, would you be here today?”

Do you know the true identity of the fellow you have been sleeping with in the same house? Do you know how many wolves in sheep’s clothing are living or working with you? Many of us have been very guilty of ingratitude. God has been protecting us from numerous attacks from the forces of darkness that we know nothing of, yet some of us find it difficult to praise Him.

Imagine if God suddenly decides to remove His protective cover from you. You would be finished within 24 hours. You think there are no agents of darkness who have wished that you would become so poor as to be eating from the garbage? They have sent many arrows but God has protected you from all their attacks. If God had not been on your side, the enemy would have swallowed you up. If God had not been fighting your battles, where would you be now? Do you know how many times you have eaten poison, yet it did not kill you? Do you know how many times the enemy came in the night to make sure that you wouldn’t see the following morning?

Today, I want you to push forward whatever you planned to do this morning and spend some time praising God. Praise Him from the bottom of your heart. Praise Him until you know, beyond all reasonable doubt, that He has heard you. Go ahead and just praise Him.
