Christianity EtcThe Sin Of Ingratitude by kpakpandoN(op): 8:31am On Dec 02, 2022
Ingratitude is a sin, and many people, including children of God, are guilty of it. Ingratitude was the cause of the original sin in the garden of Eden. Before God created man, He planted a garden and put everything there. The man just woke up to find that there was abundance everywhere. God said to Him, “Everything you see here is yours; there is only one tree I don’t want you to touch, that is the tree of the knowledge of good and evil”. The tempter then came and said, in essence, to the woman, “Forget all the things that God has given you, just focus on that one thing that you can’t have. Don’t be grateful for the rest”. She obeyed him, ate the fruit and gave some to her husband who also ate it. This made God send them out of the garden and they had to start toiling to grow their food afterwards (Genesis 3). Their ingratitude led to them losing everything God had provided for them in Eden!

It is dangerous not to be grateful to God for all that He has done for you because more than anyone and anything else, He is really worthy to be praised. It is ingratitude to focus only on what we do not have yet and ignore all other benefits the Lord has blessed us with.

There was a very wealthy man who was also a great socialite. Unfortunately, he had a stroke – the kind that can take away a man’s voice. He was taken to the best hospital in London and it so happened that I was visiting the city around the same time. We had a mutual friend who asked me to come pray for the man. When we arrived at the hospital, he was sitting up in bed with his wife by his side, but then she stepped out briefly. After I had prayed for him, he tried to pass across a message to us by gesticulating. It took us about 30 minutes to understand that all he was trying to say to us was that his wife would soon be back.

Now, look at yourself. You don’t need thirty minutes to make a simple statement. You can talk, you can shout, you can even sing. Why then don’t you thank God for the gifts and benefits He has given you while you trust Him to provide those other things you are yet to receive? As we read in Numbers 11:1-20, ingratitude can lead to destruction; it is a sin. Be grateful for what you have.

Christianity EtcWhen Light Comes In by kpakpandoN(op): 6:15pm On Dec 01, 2022
When light comes into a dark place, everything changes. Confusion and sadness change to clarity and joy. John 8:12 says that Jesus is the Light of the world. When Jesus enters into your life, everything changes for the better. When He comes in, poverty is driven out for prosperity, depression is replaced with joy and demonic oppression changes to spiritual dominance.

There was a woman who wanted to be the one controlling her husband, so she went to a witch doctor, who told her to put her husbands picture in a basket with a lid and cover it. He assured her that, as long as the lid remained on the basket, her husband would do anything she said. He however cautioned her that any time she noticed that her husband was beginning to act sluggish, she should remove the lid for a while and after he returned to normal, she could close the basket again. She took the basket home and it worked just as the witch doctor had said. One time when she removed the lid so he wouldn’t die, her husband heard the gospel and gave his life to Christ; Light came into his life. The wife put the lid back on the basket and tried to control him, but he said, "No way, I am the head of this home". She ran back to the witch-doctor when she saw that the charm was no longer working. He conducted a check in the spirit and said, "A stronger power has rescued him from my hold".

When light comes into your life, the devil will have absolutely no hold on you again.

Many people are suffering today because they don’t have The Light in their lives. Many claim to be Christians but, because they don’t really have Jesus in their heart as they claim, the devil has kept them in bondage. Let The Light come into your life today so that you can be free. The Light came into my life in 1973 and since then, I have had a better quality of life. I remember how I used to have malaria at least once every month, but today, malaria is gone. I was so deep in the bondage of poverty that even though I was the one who used to pay my drivers salary, somehow, by the middle of the month, I would be so broke that I would have to borrow money from him to buy fuel in the car. When The Light came in, everything changed.

Give your life to Christ today and begin to enjoy abundant life.

Christianity EtcDealing With Destiny Killers III by kpakpandoN(op): 7:34am On Dec 01, 2022
Another very dangerous destiny killer is the love of money. One thing that you must realise from the get-go is that having a lot of money is not a God-given purpose. Being in a position where you are in control of wealth is equally not an end in itself. It is what you do with the resources God has put in your care that will determine if you will fulfill your destiny. Joseph said his destiny was to keep people alive when the time of famine came. Becoming the Prime minister of Egypt and being in control of the wealth of the nation were merely the means God used to achieve His purpose for Joseph. This is clear from Joseph's statement in Genesis 50:20:
“But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.”

If you put your focus on money, you will lose the real purpose of God for your life.

Judas Iscariot was Jesus accountant; he was so focused on the money that he did not see all the other things he could get from Jesus Christ. While Peter was being prepared to lead the Church and John was staying close to the Master's chest and hearing His secrets, Judas was after money. He got the money but lost his destiny, along with his soul. If you just follow the plan of God for your life and take your focus away from money, you will fulfil destiny and have plenty of money too.

When I became General Overseer, I was bothered about how I would take care of my family since I was leaving my job, so I thought of doing a business by the side, but God told me not to. Honestly, I was worried, but because my focus was not on money but His will, I obeyed. Today, by Gods grace, He has blessed me with more money than I would have had if I had gone into that business.

Money is good, but the love of money will hinder God's plan for your life. Set your focus on God and His purpose for your life.

Pride is one of the most dangerous destiny killers I know. If there is any iota of pride in your life, or someone has been telling you that you are proud, you had better cry to God to take it away as you work on becoming humble. James 4:6 says that God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble. You cannot achieve your destiny without God's grace, so if God resists you and refuses to give you His grace, that is the end.

I really thank God that He helped me with this early on in ministry. When I became General Overseer of the Church in 1981, the name plate on my table read Reverend (Dr) Enoch Adeboye, Ph.D, M.Sc, B.Sc. I wanted everyone to know that this was not just an ordinary pastor, that I was a doctor too. What I should have added to it is empty barrel, because empty barrels make the loudest noise. God asked me if I wanted Him to lift me and I said, Yes, of course, Lord. The Lord then asked me to remove all those titles and just be addressed as Pastor. Thank God I obeyed, because no sooner had I done that than He started lifting me.

Pride is a destiny killer; don’t let it hinder you from getting Gods grace to fulfil Gods purpose for your life. Oh, God made Lucifer very beautiful; amongst angels, he was special. Just as Jacob gave Joseph a coat of many colours, God gave Lucifer a covering of every precious stone you could think about. God even made musical instruments inside him so, with his voice alone, he could play sweet music. He was really special. However, Ezekiel 28:17 says:
“Thine heart was lifted up because of thy beauty, thou hast corrupted thy wisdom by reason of thy brightness: I will cast thee to the ground, I will lay thee before kings, that they may behold thee.”

Today, that Lucifer that was described as bright is now known as darkness.

If you become proud, you would lose everything God has in store for you. Instead of being celebrated, you would become abhorred. If you want to fulfil your destiny, you must wear humility like a garment (Colossians 3:12 ).

Christianity EtcDealing With Destiny Killers I by kpakpandoN(op): 8:36am On Nov 28, 2022
Laziness is one major destiny killer that many people do not pay attention to. You need to realise that the journey to your destiny is divided into times and seasons, and if you miss one because of laziness, you may never be able to recover it. This may ultimately cause a dent in the fulfilment of your destiny. When it is time to make a move, go for it immediately. Don’t postpone it. Proverbs 22:13 describes such a fellow accurately. When something needs to be done, do it, whether it is convenient or not. There is no convenience in conquering lands and expanding territories; it is only the courageous and strong that fulfil destiny.

Several years ago, my wife and I, together with one of our sons who was 2 years and four months old at the time, embarked on a journey from Lagos to Otukpo in Benue State, Nigeria. The journey was for a dual purpose of starting a parish of the Church there and holding a Congress. It was during the rainy season and a major bridge on the way between Ore and Benin had been swept away by the flood. When we got there and found no bridge, we had to sleep in the car that night. The place was so dangerous that we were advised not to step out of our car at all. I remembered there was an alternative road, so we turned round to go by that road which had been abandoned, only to discover that bridges along that road had also been swept away. We could have easily turned back and gone home, but we kept going. By the time we had travelled a couple of miles along the abandoned road, the silencer of the car broke off. We picked it, put it in the boot and continued the journey. It was time to go to Otukpo and there was no turning back! Whenever we encountered a stream, one of us would go into it to find out inch by inch, the areas where the car could drive.

ln all, we spent three days on that road, but we arrived safely and did what needed to be done. Today, in Benue State alone, we have over 5OO parishes of The Redeemed Christian Church of God.

Understand your times and seasons and seize the opportunities in them when they come.

Christianity EtcUnderstanding Destiny by kpakpandoN(op): 6:48am On Nov 27, 2022
Destiny simply means the plan of God for a person’s life. In other words, it is the purpose of God for a person’s life. In Jeremiah 1:5, God said:

Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

God is a builder (Psalm 127:1). Like every builder, He works according to a plan. He doesn’t begin to build until the plan is ready. Thus before He formed you, before your father met your mother, God had a plan for your life. The good news is that the plan is a good one (Jeremiah 29:11).

Now, you may think, “If God had a good plan in store for all human beings, then why do some end up badly?” This happens because no matter how good God’s plan for you is, if you say you don’t want it, He will not force it on you. Romans 8:31 says:
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

That question wasn’t answered in the Bible; however, the clear answer is “You”. Even if God is for you, you can be against yourself. How can you be against yourself? Proverbs 22:29 says it is only the diligent that will stand before kings. Deuteronomy 28:1-14 tells us that it is only those who are obedient that will be blessed by God.

If you decide to look into Scriptures at all the people who fulfilled their destiny, you would see that they have these things in common. Joseph was a very hard-working boy – so hard-working that it wasn’t long after he got to Potiphar’s house that his master put him in charge of all his possessions. The boy also lived holy. When Potiphar’s wife made advances at him, he said he could not sleep with her and sin against his God. Diligence and holiness. Believe me honestly, if you live holy and refuse to be lazy, you will fulfil your destiny.

Christianity EtcBeware Of Covetousness II by kpakpandoN(op): 6:29am On Nov 26, 2022
Covetousness is so dangerous that the Bible says you should beware of it to such an extent that when you see it in the life of someone, you are to stay away from the fellow.

But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolator, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.
1 Corinthians 5:11

Abraham kept company with Lot his nephew – a covetous fellow, as we saw in yesterday’s study. Little did he know that Lot was hindering him from hearing the voice of God and for the promise of the Lord being fulfilled in his life. Immediately Lot left him, God spoke.

And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.
Genesis 13:14-15

If you have a friend who is always talking about how he or she wants money, cars and worldly possessions, yet never talks about impacting his or her world or doing whatever assignments the Lord would have him or her do, part ways with such a fellow. If he or she is never content and always wants what others have, so desperately as to be willing to do anything to get it, such a fellow is too dangerous to be called your friend. If any such friend refuses to change, respectfully part ways with the person, the same way Abraham parted from Lot. You have to take this step so that the person would not hinder you from getting what God has in store for you.

There is a difference between being a big dreamer and being covetous. The big dreamer talks about impacting his or her world, with the resultant effect of riches following, while the covetous is not interested in making the world better-only in the riches. Understand this and look out for how your friends see riches. If you discover that they are covetous and will not change, part ways with them.

Christianity EtcBeware Of Covetousness I by kpakpandoN(op): 6:14am On Nov 25, 2022
Covetousness is when you are so eagerly desirous of wealth or material possessions that you are willing to do anything, even committing sin, to get it. In Colossians 3:5 , the Bible calls covetousness idolatry:
“Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:”

In other words, the covetous fellow is not a child of God, but an idol worshipper.

There are many people in the Bible who covetousness ruined. Lot, for example, was aman who was picked up by Abraham. He became rich because of his association with Abraham. When his wealth grew and there was contention between his servants and those of Abraham, the issue revealed what had always been within Lot: a covetous heart.

“And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered everywhere, before the LORD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, even as the garden of the LORD, like the land of Egypt, as thou comest unto Zoar.”
Genesis 13:10

Ordinarily, when Abraham asked Lot to choose first which side he wanted to go to, he should have said, No, Uncle. You are the one who brought me along with you. You are the one who has been taking care of me all this while. You choose which side you want and I will go to the other side. At the end of the day, his covetousness brought him trouble because he lost all that he took to and even gained at Sodom. He lost his wife too.

Covetousness is so terrible that it can destroy a man completely. Check yourself to know whether you are having some inordinate ambition to be rich. Kill that ambition now and look to God, trusting Him to make you rich in His own way. Only the blessings of God will make you rich without adding sorrow to your life (Proverbs 10:22).

Christianity EtcTry Praise by kpakpandoN(op): 6:26am On Nov 24, 2022
A pastor in The Redeemed Christian Church of God shared the testimony of a miracle God performed during a wedding in one of our parishes. Just as the bridegroom was about to sign the register, he heard someone call his name and as he answered, he fell and died. All the pastors in the vestry immediately gathered and began to pray for him, but the longer they prayed, the colder he became. The most senior pastor amongst them then remembered that I had taught them often to try praise whenever prayer seems to be failing. Within a short time of praising God, the bridegroom came back to life.

The people of Judah had only started to praise God when He set an ambush against their enemies. The enemies that were coming to trouble King Jehoshaphat and his people were numerous in number, but the Bible says in 2 Chronicles 20:22:
And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.

The people of Judah had been praying, but nothing had happened. Now, instead of going against the enemy with physical weapons of war like swords, spears and shields, they came against them with the weapon of praise. If I stand before the gates of heaven and the angels refuse to open them to me (God forbid), I will start to praise God. I know that before I have called God all the beautiful names I know Him to have, He would tell one of His angels to open the gate for me. Praise opens doors that even prayer may not have been able to open.

If you have been praying about something and you are yet to receive your request, try praise today. When you praise God, He will surely respond.

Joshua and the army of Israel used praise to pull down the walls of Jericho in Joshua 6:20. If you have been praying for so long about a matter, try praise now and you would be surprised at the wonderful results God Almighty will give to you. Try praise.

Christianity EtcRun From Flatterers by kpakpandoN(op): 5:47am On Nov 23, 2022
Flatterers are dangerous people. They come like friends, but they are really enemies, even though some of them don’t know it. In Acts 12:20-23, Herod was destroyed not because he said any proud words, but because he was being flattered and did not run from the flatterers or tell them to stop. These were people who hailed him because of what they could get from him, not because they really felt he was a great orator. Proverbs 26:28 says:
A lying tongue hateth those that are afflicted by it; and a flattering mouth worketh ruin.

Flatterers will ruin you if you don’t run away from them. If you are being flattered and it feels good, you had better check yourself because the people flattering you are not your friends; they are trap-setters sent by the devil to you. Proverbs 29:5 says:
A man that flattereth his neighbour spreadeth a net for his feet.

Someone who only tells you that you are perfect and never tells you that you did anything wrong is not your friend. When you bring those who flatter you closer to you, that is like the bushmeat going to play in front of the hunter’s house; destruction is near. Psalm 5:9 says:
For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is very wickedness; their throat is an open sepulchre; they flatter with their tongue.

Their inward part is not ‘ordinary wickedness’ but described as “very wickedness”. Their throat – from where the flattery comes, is an open grave. You are to run from such people. When they advise you, take their advice with a pinch of salt because they don’t mean well for you at all. Psalm 62:4 says they advise you so as to bring you down from your exalted position.

Sweet as their tongue may be, don’t take the advice of flatterers; run from them!

Christianity EtcStop Flattering People by kpakpandoN(op): 6:57am On Nov 22, 2022
To flatter someone is to give excessive and insincere praise to the person, especially to further your own interests. Flattery is one of the weapons with which the devil destroys people. This means that the fellow who flatters is one of the agents of the devil in destroying people. Every time you flatter someone, you are working for the devils interest to bring down the fellow. Thus if you want to be an agent of the devil, you can go on flattering people. God however, does not tolerate agents of darkness. Psalm 12:3 says:
“The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things:”

If you keep flattering, you are inviting the Lord to cut off your lips. Job 32:22 also says that God will take away any one who flatters another.

“For I know not to give flattering titles; in so doing my maker would soon take me away.”
Job 32:22

When a person does good, tell them without exaggerating. When they do something bad, tell them with wisdom for them to change for the better. When you flatter people, you are making them think that they are perfect. You are fanning the flame of pride that may have been in them before and when it rises, the Lord will then resist them. That would lead to destruction.

People often know when they are being flattered. Though the flattery may work in your favour for a while, the fellow will soon realise that you are only around them for what you can get and they will soon start staying away from you. They know that the other fellow who does not flatter but tells them the truth always is their real friend. In the long run, the flatterer could lose the relationship.

If a fellow is always flattering you, he or she is not your real friend. The word of God says in Proverbs 28:23 "He that rebuketh a man afterwards shall find more favour than he that flattereth with the tongue".

lf you truly want the favour of a great person, tell them the truth and stop flattering them.

Christianity EtcNo Automatic Power by kpakpandoN(op): 6:36am On Nov 21, 2022
One day, long ago, as I entered a room, a man jumped from behind the door, grabbed my hand and started professing, “I receive the anointing, double portion of the anointing is mine!” I shook him off. You get the anointing by sacrifice, not by professing it. You spend hours, if not days, on your knees. You fast for weeks, spend hours studying the word to know this God, you leave your comfort zone and go out to preach the gospel, you serve God with all your might. You sow seeds, seeds so great as to make you cry while sowing them. You have to be ready to make sacrifices to get power. The anointing will not come automatically by only following a man or woman of God.

When Jesus was on earth, hundreds of people were following Him, but only about 120 tarried at the upper room as He instructed and those were the ones who were filled with the Holy Ghost in Acts 2:1-4. Elijah had a servant before he had Elisha. In 1 Kings 19:1-3 , when Jezebel was after Elijah’s life and he told his servant to stay somewhere, the boy did not hesitate, hence, he did not get a double portion of the spirit. However, when it was Elisha’s turn, Elijah did everything to get rid of the young man but he stayed with Elijah to the end, then he got the mantle. Just following the man or woman of God is not enough to get the mantle, you must serve with all your heart and with all your might. You must follow him or her to the end.

“And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so.”
2 Kings 2:10

By telling Elisha that if he saw him when he was going, he would get the mantle, Elijah was saying “If we see eye to eye, if you love what I love and hate what I hate, if you follow me with all your heart, then you will get my mantle”. If you want the anointing upon someone, then you must see eye to eye with the anointed. If your heart is not truly connected with the man or woman of God you are following, you cannot get his or her anointing. Finally, if you are not committed to serving God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength, you cannot get His anointing.

Christianity EtcNever Forget His Mercies by kpakpandoN(op): 6:40am On Nov 20, 2022
In Psalm 103:1-5, David said his soul must never forget God's benefits, and then he began to list those benefits for us. One of the greatest failings of Christians is that they quickly forget the benefits of the Most High God. If somebody wakes up in the morning and begins to shout, "Praise the Lord, glory be to God!" so loudly that the neighbours gather to ask him what happened and then he responds, "I’m thanking God for the safe delivery of my wife three years ago", they would begin to wonder if he is in need of a psychiatrist. However, if somebody wakes up early in the morning and begins to weep and wail over the death of her husband 10 years ago, people would say, "Oh, sorry, we understand".

It is the nature of man to remember evil things and forget the good, but as a Christian, you are a new creature, so you should do the opposite. That popular hymn says, 'Count your blessings, name them one by one'.

It is dangerous when you find it difficult to thank God for what He has done. Some years ago, I was preparing the sermon for a New Year thanksgiving service, and I remember saying to God, "Daddy, it's just the two of us now; may I speak like a son to his Daddy?" He said "Go ahead". I went on, "Lord, I am going to encourage Your children to praise You for what You did for them in the passing year, but between You and me, we know that You didn’t do anything for me". I began to lay out all the things I had expected in the course of the year but didn’t get. The Lord then interrupted and told me to get a notebook. He asked me to write the answers to the questions He would be asking me. He began, "How many times did you travel this year?" I said "Many times". "How many times did you have an accident?" I responded, "None". He continued, "More than 360 days have gone by in this year; how many times did you sleep and wake up? Do you know how many people slept and didn’t wake up? How many times were you hungry in the past year? Are you aware that there are people in the hospital who want to eat but have no appetite?"

I quickly interrupted Him because I had become very afraid as I realised how ungrateful I had been. No matter how bad things may look, don’t forget His mercies.

Christianity EtcWonderful God II by kpakpandoN(op): 6:46am On Nov 19, 2022
Beyond making you a wonder, God can decide to use you as a vessel through whom He will be doing wonders on earth. This is one thing every believer should pursue. In Acts 5:12-16, the Bible tells us about the great wonders that God performed through the apostles and how He even healed the sick through Peters shadow. If the shadow of a man begins to heal the sick, definitely that man has become a vessel for wonders.

If you want to become a vessel for wonders, you will have to really deny yourself of many things. Apostle Paul was without any doubt a vessel for wonders because his handkerchiefs and aprons worked miracles. 1 Corinthians 10:23 says:
“All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.”

If you want God to do wonders for you, you have to stay away from anything that is considered unlawful; however, if you want Him to do wonders through you, you have to stay away from even things that are lawful but not expedient. It is not unlawful to eat, but when you want Him to do wonders through you, fasting will become a regular practice for you. It is not unlawful to spend good time with friends chatting, but for those who God will do wonders through, they will spend more time with Him praying and studying their Bible than they spend with other people. They will give of their substance so much that people will say they are running crazy, they will serve in His house like they are being paid millions; in all, they will give themselves totally to God. These are the kinds of people through whom God will do wonders.

Moses, the man through whom God parted the Red Sea, spent more time on the mountain than below it. Indeed, he was so accustomed to the presence of God that the Lord spoke to Him face to face (Exodus 33:11). Elijah – the man who called down fire on Mount Carmel and shut the heavens over Israel for three years was always found on the mountain (2 Kings 1:9). You have to offer yourself as a living sacrifice unto God (Romans 12:1), if you want Him to do wonders through you.

Christianity EtcWonderful God I by kpakpandoN(op): 7:28am On Nov 18, 2022
God Himself is a wonder. Isaiah 9:6 says His name shall be called Wonderful. Wonderful means full of wonders. It is a wonder for a virgin to conceive. It is a wonder for the King of kings to be born in a manger. It is a wonder for the One who controls the armies of heaven to allow Himself to be crucified. It’s a wonder for someone to rise from death. Not only is God a wonder, He does wonders. In Daniel 6:25-27, even a heathen king proclaimed that our God is the living God who works signs and wonders in heaven and on earth. He is a wonder; He can do wonders for you. In John 9:32, the blind man whose eyes were opened said:
“Since the world began was it not heard that any man opened the eyes of one that was born blind.”

The Almighty can heal any sickness you are experiencing; He can solve any problem you are facing right now, and I mean any problem. Jeremiah 32:27 says:
“Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?”

Nothing is too hard for God to do. If you live holy and ask Him, there is nothing He cannot do for you.

Beyond doing wonders for you, God can turn you into a wonder. In Mark 2:1-12, a paralyzed man was brought to Jesus through the roof and with just a word from the Lord, the man got up, completely whole. The Bible says in verse 12 that the people were amazed. He turned him into a wonder and He can do the same for you.

My story is proof that this God can turn anyone to a wonder. For a poor boy from a tiny village in Nigeria to be interacting with great leaders around the world, that is a wonder. If you want God to make you a wonder, you need to first and foremost surrender your life to Jesus Christ, begin to live a holy lifestyle and consistently seek His face for mercy.

2. Father, I pray that Your great mercy will single out our children for good in their generation in Jesus name.

3. Father, please let Your voice guide our children in all that they do. Let no voice lead them astray, in Jesus name.

4. Father, let it be well with our children's future. Make them great men and women in Jesus name.

5. Father, by Your mercy, please prosper our children greatly. Prosper them so they never lack any good thing.

6. Father, as You caused Samuel to hear Your voice, please let all our children hear and know Your voice clearly from today, in Jesus name.

7. Father, I decree that no weapon formed against our children will prosper in Jesus name. Our children will not be victims of evil people in Jesus name.

8. Father, give our children a deep passion for soul-winning in Jesus name. Teach them how to be fishers of men in Jesus name.

9. Father, please let Your face shine upon our children. Be gracious unto them in Jesus name.

10. Father, cause our children to find unlimited favour before You and everyone in Jesus name.

11. My Father, the Great Way Maker, please continue to make a way for our children in all their endeavours in Jesus name. Our children will never know shame because of Your love in Jesus name.

12. Your special prayer requests for all the children around you and in your local assembly.

You can touch God with your prayers. In Mark 10:46-52, Bartimaeus cried until Jesus stood still. Jesus was touched by Bartimaeus persistently calling Him.

There are gentlemanly prayers which people pray softly, sophisticatedly, with big grammar and careful diction.

There are also those prayers that can touch God usually persistent in nature. In Luke 18:1-8, Jesus gave an example of a prayer that would definitely touch God. In fact, He said that the prayer would touch even a wicked fellow, not to mention God.

Some people pray for a while and stop when they haven’t gotten their miracle. Why are you stopping? Do you have another option apart from God? I have had the privilege of going to see some Presidents and when you get there you cannot be in a hurry. You get there before the time of appointment that was given to you, yet you may have to wait for some time before you get to see the President. On some occasions, it is the President who wanted to see me, yet I had to wait. How can you then go before the President of Presidents and say because He hasn’t attended to your request yet, you want to leave? If you leave, who will be affected? God remains God whether you pray or not, but you are nothing without Him. When you tarry in the place of prayer, He is touched and then gives you whatever you want.

In Matthew 15:22-28, we read the story of a woman who kept crying to Jesus to heal her daughter. She cried so much that Jesus disciples were irritated and asked Him to send her away. This did not stop her from praying. At last, Jesus was touched and she got her miracle. How desperate are you to get your miracle? If you are really desperate, it will show in the way you pray. It will show in how long you pray. Many people are still struggling with their problems because they stopped praying too early. Let that not be your story.

Christianity EtcTouching God II by kpakpandoN(op): 6:35am On Nov 15, 2022
You can touch God through your worship. In Acts 16:25-26, at midnight, Paul and Silas sang praises to the Most High God, in prison. God saw them praising Him while they were bound in prison and was touched. Instead of grumbling, they praised God and this made Him force open the prison doors. Apostle Paul was a man who knew how to touch God through worship. He is the one who wrote about the sacrifice of praise in Hebrews 13:15:
“By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.”

What is the sacrifice of praise? The sacrifice of praise according to the above Scripture is the fruit of our lips. When you put this side-by-side with Matthew 7:16 which says "Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?" you would then see that such a sacrifice does not come from lips that only praise God once in a while, or that only praise Him when things are going well. The sacrifice of praise comes from lips that glorify Him all the time, lips which only bear worship and thanksgiving to the Most High God, lips that have been sacrificed on the altar of praise to the Lord.

You want to touch God with your worship? Give Him a sacrifice of praise from your lips which are dedicated to praising Him at all times.

God will however, not accept praise from a sinner because His eyes cannot behold iniquity (Habakkuk 1:13). As a matter of fact, sin hides His face from sinners and He will not hear them (Isaiah 59:1-2) unless they repent and forsake their wrongdoings.

Surrender your life to Jesus Christ today if you have not done so, then you can rest assured that when you worship Him, He will hear you and you will indeed move Him to perform wonders in your life.

Christianity EtcTouching God I by kpakpandoN(op): 6:17am On Nov 14, 2022
Beloved, if God touches you, your life will never remain the same. The issue now is that God has millions of children; how are you sure that He will single you out and touch you in particular? Well, whether God touches you or you touch God, the result is the same. If a wire carrying electricity drops on a person or somebody mistakenly touches it, the result will be the same. Our God is a Consuming Fire (Hebrews 12:29). Whether He is the One who touches you or you touch Him, the result will be the same. In Mark 5:25-34, the woman with the issue of blood just touched the hem of Jesus garment and the Lord said virtue had gone out of Him.

How do you touch God? You can touch Him by faith. In Matthew 8:5-13, the Bible tells us the story of a centurion who came to Jesus saying that he needed his servant to be healed. Jesus said He would come and heal him, but the centurion said He should just speak a word and he knew that his servant would be healed. The man’s faith touched Jesus. Jesus Christ said, "I have never seen this kind of faith before, no, not in Israel".

Some time ago, I got a letter from someone who said, "I have a series of problems. I am not asking that you come and pray for me, I am not booking an appointment; I know that if you can just read my letter, I will get my miracles". I read the letter and said to the Lord: "Almighty God, you have to honour this faith". Two weeks later, I got another letter from the same fellow saying, "I know you read my letter because God has done it".

How strong is your faith? Can it touch God? If your faith is not strong enough to touch the Lord, then you need to study and hear the word of God more often. Romans 10:17 says:
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Just keep consuming Gods word, whether it is through the Bible, books or sermons of genuine men and women of God and you will see your faith grow so much that it will touch God and the impossible will become possible in your life.

Christianity EtcGod Requires Diligence by kpakpandoN(op): 7:12am On Nov 13, 2022
Many people assume that God blessing them means that money will just suddenly fall in their laps. That is not true. If you want things to get better, then as God opens doors, you also need to work diligently.

A few years ago, I gave someone an assignment in January which he could have completed in 3 months. My plan was to give him another as soon as he completed the first. However, as at September, he was still struggling to finish. There was no way I would give him another. God had opened doors of financial blessings to him, but he refused to be diligent so he only got the blessing from one door.

On the other hand, there was a son of mine who would always ask me to pray for him to have a breakthrough whenever he saw me and I always obliged him. One day I received a letter from him saying he had gotten a big contract. When I saw the amount, I believed he must have mistakenly added more zeros than the actual value. I thought he mistook N500,000:00 for N50,000,000. After some time, to my amazement, I got a cheque from him and a cover note saying, Daddy, I have paid my tithe, but you are the one who prayed, so here is another 10% for you. I was shocked to see that he wasnt mistaken after all, so I called him to hear his story. He said that he had executed a project for a state government, and the governor was so impressed with his performance that he invited him to his office and gave him another project that ended poverty in his life.

God wants to answer many peoples prayers, but their lack of diligence has blocked the breakthrough from coming. Luke 16:12 says:
“And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man’s, who shall give you that which is your own?”

You say your salary where you work now is small and you want God to give you a breakthrough so that you will be paying people salaries; however, if you are not faithful in another mans business, how will God give you yours?

Christianity EtcThings Will Get Better by kpakpandoN(op): 8:13am On Nov 12, 2022
When I got married, things were very tough for my family. I had a job, but I was just a teacher in a grammar school. In those days, my wife and I used to struggle over ponmo (cow skin). We would tell each other jokingly, "That piece is too big, you can’t eat it alone; lets cut it into two". Those days, I recall always reassuring her, "My dear, don’t worry, things won’t continue like this". Thank God she believed me and we held on to God. I am standing as a representative of God to tell you today that things will get better for you, in Jesus name.

3 John 1-2 says:
“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”

I want you to take note that the statement in the Bible verse above was inspired by God to show His children that He indeed wishes above all things that they should prosper.

This should assure you completely that you will prosper. He, however, attached a condition to it. The condition is that your soul must be prospering too. How will your soul prosper? I have answered that question with Colossians 3:1-17. You can read it again, this time around taking notes of the things that you should do for your soul to prosper.

Believe me honestly, if you live your life in line with the word of God, you will indeed experience all round prosperity.

“And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.”
Deuteronomy 28: 2

Live holy (Genesis 17:1, be diligent (Proverbs 22:29), sow bountifully (2 Corinthians 9:6), pay your tithes (Malachi 3:10) and see if God will not prosper you. Blessings will indeed pursue and overtake you.

Christianity EtcDivine Victory Over Barrenness by kpakpandoN(op): 6:52am On Nov 11, 2022
In Genesis 18:9-14, God told Abraham that Sarah would have a son within a year, but she laughed, thinking it was impossible because she was too old and had been barren for so long. Even though the promise of childbirth seemed completely impossible, Sarah was carrying her baby nine months later. It doesn’t matter for how long you have been barren, you will be carrying your babies this time next year in Jesus name.

Many women in The Redeemed Christian Church of God have given birth long after menopause. This shows that nothing is impossible with the God I serve. No matter how long someone’s case of barrenness is, He is able to turn it around.

There was a woman who the doctor said had no womb. The husband’s relatives also told him to stop disturbing himself because they had removed his wife’s womb spiritually. The couple attended one of our programmes one day and God said I should tell the people that He would give babies to someone in the congregation who had no womb. That month, she became pregnant. Her husband took her abroad to deliver the baby and told the doctors to conduct a Caesarean Section to avoid complications. After delivery, the doctor searched but didn’t see any womb. My Daddy showed the whole world that He can bring something out of nothing. If He could do it for that couple, yours will not be difficult for Him.

In 2 Kings 4:8-17, the Bible tells us that when Elisha told the Shunamite woman that she would have a son, she said, Man of God, do not deceive me. In other words, she told him not to lie to her. The devil wants you to feel that God can be a liar. God will prove Himself to you that He doesn’t lie. In 1 Samuel 1:1-6, the Bible calls Peninnah an adversary; she constantly mocked Hannah about her barrenness. When the Almighty God moved in, she was silenced. Anyone who is already mocking you now will soon come and rejoice with you, in Jesus name.

Barrenness can make a person lose the desire to stay alive. In Genesis 30:1-2, Rachel said to her husband, give me a son or I die. The good news for you is that fruitlessness of all kinds financial, academic, physical, and spiritual will become a thing of the past in your life, in Jesus name.

Christianity EtcDivine Victory Over Mental Sickness by kpakpandoN(op): 7:35am On Nov 10, 2022
Mental sickness is not limited to madness. It can also mean that a person has challenges with their thinking faculty. Some students have brilliant minds, but they blank out in the examination hall. If you have any problem with your memory, God is able to deliver you. The devil wants you to be a fool because he knows the Bible says in Psalms 14:1:
“The fool hath said in his heart, there is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.”

The devil knows that it is written in Proverbs 13:20:
“He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.”

He wants you to live like a fool so you can be destroyed, but God is putting an end to all his attacks against you now, in Jesus name. Also, the devil wants you to be a fool because he knows the Bible says in Proverbs 3:35:
“The wise shall inherit glory: but shame shall be the promotion of fools.”

James 1:5 says:
“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”

If you are not as clever as you ought to be, or have been failing examinations, the Almighty God will lay His hands upon you now and give you victory in the mental realm, in Jesus' name.

The mad man of Gadara could not think straight because he was possessed by demons. However, as soon as the Master spoke a word, those demons left him and he started to think and talk normally (Mark 5:1-20). If the Almighty God could deliver a man who was mad, how much more would He be able to restore you to sound mental health? That same God will heal you wherever you need help mentally right now, in the mighty name of Jesus.

Christianity EtcDivine Victory Over Physical Sickness by kpakpandoN(op): 6:57am On Nov 09, 2022
The principal aim of Satan in attacking you physically is to cause you to deny God. “And Satan answered the LORD, and said, Skin for skin, yea, all that a man hath will he give for his life. But put forth thine hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will curse thee to thy face.” Job 2:4-5

Satan wants to make you sick so that you can complain against God and turn your back on Him. He knows if you can turn your back on God, then you will not get all that He has for you in Him. I pray that God will put Satan to shame in your life in Jesus name.

In 2 Kings 5:1-14, we see that Satan afflicts people physically to discredit every other thing they might have achieved. Naaman was successful in everything, yet he had an incurable disease that put a but on his achievements. In Mark 5:25-34, Satan attacked the woman with the issue of blood so as to waste her resources and reduce her to nothing. Just as God stepped in for Naaman and the woman with the issue of blood, He is going to step in for you now in the name of Jesus Christ.

The story in Mark 2:1-12 tells us about a young man carried by four friends. The devil wants you to be carried from one place to another, but because you are connected to God, you will cease to be a burden to others, in Jesus' name.

The devil also attacks people physically so that he may tie them down to a spot. In John 5:2-9, there were many sick people waiting for the moving of the pool of Bethesda. They could not move around freely because of the ailments in their bodies. The devil cannot tie you down because he has lost his hold on you. Jesus promised His followers victory over sickness when He defeated the devil. 1 John 3:8 says for this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

Sickness is the work of the devil. I pray for you that Jesus will raise you up from your bed of sickness now, in Jesus name.

Christianity EtcWhy You Can Be Sure Of Victory III by kpakpandoN(op): 7:01am On Nov 08, 2022
The third reason you can always be sure of victory is that God cannot be defeated by air. He says in Isaiah 66:1
“Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?”

The Lord is sitting in heaven, His feet are on the earth; that means He occupies the entire space. As the witches meet and talk in their coven, planning how to attack a child of God, the Lord is watching their every move and plan. He will never let them win over you, as long as you truly belong to Him. If they can neither defeat Him by land nor sea, they certainly cannot defeat Him by air. If you are on His side, then your safety is guaranteed.

In Joshua 10:1-14, some kings were attacking Joshua and the people of Israel. God sent heavy stones from heaven to break their heads, then later stopped the sun from setting so the Israelites could finish them off. In Genesis 19:24, God sent brimstone and fire from heaven to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah. God will destroy the enemy successfully on land and the sea; He will also bring total ruin to them in the air.

One day, we decided to follow up on a woman who hadn’t been to Church for some time. The woman complained to us when we got to her house, "Since I started coming to your Church, I have not been able to fly at night to meet my fellow witches again". If your heavenly Father owns the air, what witch can threaten you? Psalms 91:2-4 says:
“I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.”

As long as you are a child of God, you can rest assured that you will enjoy divine victory at all times and in all places, because your Heavenly Father is the Master over the sea, land, and air.

Christianity EtcWhy You Can Be Sure Of Victory II by kpakpandoN(op): 6:24am On Nov 07, 2022
The second reason you can always be sure of victory as a child of God is that nobody can defeat God by sea. The Bible says the wind and the sea obey Him. Matthew 8:27 tells us:
“But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!”

If the enemy tries to fight you within the waters, my God will take care of them. In Exodus 14:21-28, as the children of Israel were passing through the Red Sea, the enemy decided to follow, but as soon as Pharaoh and his army got to the middle of the sea, the Lord told it to close up.

While the disciples were struggling with the storm that was rocking the boat, Jesus was sleeping. When He woke up, He spoke a word and the storm ceased (Mark 4:35-41). If the disciples had been wise, they would have slept like Jesus did, knowing that no matter how the storm raged, it could not kill its Creator. Even if the enemy threatens you on the sea, as long as you are a child of God, the Creator is in the boat with you.

God sent Jonah to Nineveh but he boarded a boat to Tarshish. A storm arose due to his disobedience and the passengers had to throw him into the sea to save their lives, then a huge fish swallowed him. God spoke to the fish saying, This is not meat for you to eat, this is just someone to be carried to his original destination. As soon as Jonah came to his senses, God ordered the fish to vomit him onto dry ground (Jonah 1:1-17). All your enemies who want to operate by sea are wasting their time because the Almighty God controls the waters and everything therein. He will never let them win, as long as you are His child.

A lady came to me and said, Sir, I have found the man I want to marry. However, my father said that when I was born, I was dedicated to a marine spirit, and the spirit said my husband will die the day I get married. I told her, I have somebody who can control marine spirits because He controls the sea. I prayed with them and they got married. The next time I saw them, the couple and their baby were healthy and strong. You cannot be defeated by sea because the wind and the sea must obey the word of the Lord concerning you.

Christianity EtcWhy You Can Be Sure Of Victory I by kpakpandoN(op): 6:47am On Nov 06, 2022
As a child of God, you can be sure that God will give you victory no matter the situation you are faced with. The first reason is that nobody can defeat Him on land. Psalms 24:1 says:
“The earth is the LORD's, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.”

If your enemy is on land, he cannot win the battle because God was the One who laid the foundations of the earth! In Numbers 16:23-33, some people gathered themselves together against Moses. What the Almighty God did was to speak to the earth to open its mouth and swallow them.

Some people may be gathered against you; because your Father is the One who owns the land and the fullness thereof, He will not allow them to overcome you. The ground could not have Jesus because after three days, the Saviour of the world arose from the grave. He has power over the land and so your enemies cannot overwhelm you no matter how hard they try. The ground had Lazarus within it for four days, but the Resurrection and the Life spoke just a word, and he came out alive.

When I was much younger, there was a wedding in my village, attended by all the witches and wizards there. I preached against them with everything I had that day. When I finished preaching, they told the mother of the bride, “So you invited this man to come and insult us, right? We will see how your daughter will give birth.” The daughter became pregnant and the woman ran to me saying, “They said my daughter will never deliver.” I told her, “The day your daughter will deliver, every one of them will be asleep. The woman delivered safely and that child is now a medical doctor.

As long as the Lord lives, every word against your prosperity on this earth will never come to pass in Jesus name. Lamentations 3:37 says "Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass, when the Lord commandeth it not"?

As long as God is your Father and the earth with its fullness is His, you are guaranteed a safe passage into success and victory, in Jesus name.

Christianity EtcThe Glory Of God by kpakpandoN(op): 9:13am On Nov 05, 2022
If you want to see the glory of God, just look at nature, especially the sky. The heavens are like a showroom of His glory.

The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.
Psalm 19:1

In Psalm 24:8, David asked who is the King of glory and the answer came back that He is the Lord, strong and mighty. Psalm 29:3 says He is the God of glory. Psalm 138:5 says that great is the glory of the Lord. Up to today, people are still talking about Solomon’s wealth and the splendour and glory of His palace, but Solomon’s glory is like trash before that of God. As rich as Solomon was, he did not build roads using gold. In the city of my Daddy, pure, transparent gold is used as paving stones and the gates are made of pearls.

And the twelve gates were twelve pearls: every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.
Revelation 21:21

Oh, my God is glorious! If your father were the richest man in the world, you would let people know that you are the son or daughter of so and so. Your Father in heaven is more glorious than anyone can imagine, so why do you keep quiet about Him? Perhaps you are one of those who get to certain circles and hide their faith. You act as if you are not a child of God in your office or at secular events. If your father were the richest man in the world, you would use your surname everywhere you go. You should be proud of your Daddy, telling everyone about Him everywhere you go. In fact, His glory should be radiating through you so much that anyone that sees you will know that you are a child of God.

Psalm 96:3 says you should declare God’s glory among the heathen, not just when you are in Church amongst Christians. Psalm 96:10 says that you should tell the people that God reigns; He is the King of Kings and is coming to judge people righteously. Do you do these things?

Christianity EtcDo You Love God? by kpakpandoN(op): 6:59am On Nov 04, 2022
Whether you love God or not is not known by your claims but rather, your attitude to His word. John 15:14 says:
“Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.”

Do you obey the commands of the Lord? If you do, then you love God. However, if you don’t, then you dont love Him. In John 14:15 , He said:
“If ye love me, keep my commandments.”

In John 15:12 , Jesus told us one of those commandments you must keep if you say you love God.

“This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.”
John 15:12

Now, that is a hard commandment to keep because some people are just so hard to love. This is why, at our Ministers Conference in Nigeria, I always tell the attendees to say to the fellow sitting next to them, I love you compulsorily. On one occasion, one person was sitting next to someone who just offended him, so he said, I love you compulsorily, you stupid fellow. The people around you may be hard to love, but you must love them. You have no choice if you really want to love God

When He says love one another as I have loved you, you see how difficult that is when you read 1 John 3:16:
“Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.”

You, therefore, see that your excuses for not preaching the gospel to others who are heading for hell are flimsy. If you love them just as Jesus loves you, you would be willing to lose anything so that they will not go to hell. It is because some missionaries laid down their lives to preach the gospel that you are on your way to heaven today. Why is it so hard for you to do the same for someone else?

Christianity EtcFrightening Miracles by kpakpandoN(op): 8:33am On Nov 03, 2022
There are miracles and there are miracles. There are miracles that people hear about and just shout 'halleluyah' for shouting sake; they are not so moved. There are some other miracles by which the recipients are rendered almost speechless because they are experiencing joy unspeakable (1 Peter 1:cool. There are yet some miracles that are so wondrous that the recipient would find it hard to believe and thus conclude that he or she must have been dreaming. Finally, there are frightening miracles. These are those where the recipient becomes so frightened that he or she may even attempt to run away.

Many years ago, God provided a Mercedes Benz car for one of our elderly pastors in The Redeemed Christian Church of God. This is somebody who never completed elementary education and never dreamt that he would own any kind of vehicle, not to mention a Mercedes Benz. When my driver took the car to him and said, "Sir, this is a car for you and you will have your own driver, fully paid for" he asked, "What kind of joke is this?" My driver said, "I’m not joking; this is coming from the General Overseer". He turned from my driver and began to walk away. My driver followed him, saying "Sir, please take the keys" but he increased his speed. He had gotten a miracle that frightened him. This month, God will give you a miracle that will frighten you, in Jesus name.

In Luke 5:1-9, we see the template for getting frightening miracles. Peter had just fished all night and caught nothing. Of course, he must have been very tired and frustrated, but someone came to him, asking to use his boat and he said, "Yes" without charging Him rent to at least make up for the fruitless night he just had. Peter gave a sacrificial offering that day and Jesus in return gave him a miracle that frightened him so much that he told the Lord to stay away from him. In 2 Chronicles 1:6-7, Solomon gave a sacrificial offering and God made him the richest and wisest king that ever lived.

lf you can do what no man has ever done for God, He will in return give you what He has never given any man.

Christianity EtcNo Small Platform by kpakpandoN(op): 1:02pm On Nov 02, 2022
The Almighty God sent His disciples out in Luke 10:1-6 to preach in households. He gave them so much power just to preach to families – not to organise crusades. He gave them power to preach to households because no platform where you can preach to people is small at all. As long as there is one person to listen to the gospel of the Lord, that platform is big.

In John 4:6-30 , Jesus preached to only one woman. It was in the course of that conversation that He gave the powerful revelation that, "God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth" (John 4:24 ). While many may have regarded preaching to just one person as a small platform, Jesus Christ said preaching to her was His meat (John 4:32-34).

I went to preach in a small rural Church which had no building. My children snapped the picture of me preaching there and put it on the internet and many people were surprised. I, on the other hand, wondered why people were surprised. It may have been a small Church, it may have been situated in a rural area, but as long as there was someone, just one person there that I could lead to Christ, I gladly went there to preach. In John 4:6-30, Jesus concentrated a lot of effort into winning that woman's soul and she brought the whole city to Him. That little gathering that seems like a small platform probably has the next Adeboye in it. I am a village boy from Ifewara. However, from that small village, God won one soul to Himself and that one soul is now bringing millions of souls to His Kingdom. Never underestimate any opportunity to win a soul. Every platform given to you to preach the word of God is big!

How many people do you have following you on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and so on? How many email addresses and phone numbers do you have on your contact list? All these are great platforms through which you can reach people for the Lord. The next Billy Graham may be on one of these platforms of yours; God may be counting on you to win that one soul to Him. Don’t waste that big platform you have: use it.

God’s standards sometimes appear tough to live by, but when you adhere to them, you would soon discover that they ultimately work in your favour. One of such standards is in Matthew 5:44:
“But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;”

He said you should love your enemies. Believe me honestly, if you really have enemies and know them, you will agree with me that loving them would be a hard thing to do. Nevertheless, you must love them. In verse 45 of the same Matthew 5:1-48, the Lord said:
“That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.”

In other words, if you don’t love your enemies, then you are not a child of God. If you laugh at your enemies in their day of calamity, then you are not a child of God. That is why you cannot make fun of your enemies when things are going badly for them; it is an attribute of the devil. Worse still is if you are cursing the fellow and praying that things go bad for him; you cannot do that and still call yourself a child of God. In Romans 12:14-15, the Bible says:
“Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not. Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.”
That passage did not say rejoice when your enemy is weeping, or weep when only your friends are weeping. Should there be days when your enemy is weeping, be there to comfort him or her. Pray for them that their weeping will end soon. Don’t be happy at the fall or calamity of someone else; that is not an attribute of a child of God. Proverbs 24:17-18 says that if you rejoice at a person’s downfall, God would be displeased with you.

Don’t annoy God.
