Fekonzy: Hello. @justwise and others. Please i have a question to ask. I want to apply for a renewal for my visa that will expire around april. I want to apply for a 2 year visa this time around. However in the past i had been denied a visa three times. But on the third time, i appealed through the organization that organized the convention i intended on attending and they overturned the decision and gave me a visa. So i wish to ask would the past denials pose affect my chances of getting the visa? And can i get a 2 years visa if i apply as a tourist now? Also I have a student visa for south africa as I plan on starting my phd research next month. Please what are my chances and any advice for me? The present UK visa you hold, is it a Tourist Visa? |

Ezemistic: is possible to fill 6-months VISA for my wife and daughter even though i have already filled 2yrs for myself? and still travel together? Yes its possible but I will advice the whole family apply for 6 months just to avoid any suspicion from the ECO. |

Ezemistic: Pls I need your help. I just finished applying for UK Visa for Myself and including my wife and daughter as people traveling with me. I have also paid the VISA fee for 2yrs Visa. But on registering TLSContact Process, I saw a message on the site that implies that I have to also fill a separate application for my wife and daughter (5yrs old). Does it mean that I will pay separately for their VISA fees (my wife and daughter) and book separate appointmentsfor them? Bro, u have to fill UK visa form for each of them and also pay visa fee for each of them. |

lantres000: Hello Justwise and poca4real
Am about to apply for a tourist Uk Visa on a 10 days Visit. I am presenting and account with a closing balance of 2,400,000 and i intend to spend 1,285,125Naira on the trip. Below is my expense break down.
Airline ticket 280,000 x 2 =560,000 (1,174GBP @ 477 Conversion rate) Hotel Accommodation for 10 Nights (400GBP) @40 GBP Per day Feeding for 10 Days @ 60 GBP Per day (600GBP) Cash at Hand (700GBP) Totalling 2,874(GBP)
My Question is do you think this break down is fair enough? and if not how much more do i step it up with.
Secondly i am sponsoring the trip wholly and i want to know if i would need to assign some money to my wife on the application because her salary is pretty low and i doubt if her closing balance will amount to anything. How much should i assign to my wife as her own travelling expenses.
I will so appreciate your response Not too bad, but I will advice you look for a cheaper hotel maybe hostel accommodation, reduce your feeding and cash at hand expenses so it doesn't tell too much on your bank closing balance because you are almost spending more than 50% of your balance which may also be more than twice your monthly salary after tax deductions. Just my opinion. |

Success2011: Gurus in the house, I appreciate your inputs in this thread. God bless you all.
I'm planning to apply for a visit visa January 2019. My situation: I've been working since 2013 but got a new job June last year. I've a house in my name. Utility bills (Nepa) in my name and my address.
My little reservation is I'm 17 months old in this my new job and I wouldn't want the ECO to assume my job ties is not strong because of longevity of service. My account is just okay. No outside deposits except my monthly salaries. No cash lodgement whatsoever. Please gurus, advice. Thank you all. I don't think 17 months old in an establishment will be an issue provided every other documentation and circumstance are in order. |

mex551: Hello E_Family, I want to apply for uk tourist visa in Jan for a 6 day vacation alone. Married with 4kids. Have a house and 2cars. I work in one of the financial institutions. I have travel history to SA, over 5times in the last two years. My take home is 570k monthly. Because of an ongoing project, my account has always been on 0 before now but since September , I have been leaving 250k from my salary untouched so by Jan I should have 1.25m. Will the four month account statement surface for me? or must it be 6months.?. please check below my proposed frugal expenditure 1. Return ticket 250k. (£537) 2. Hostel for 6 Days@£28 (£168) 3. Food(B,L,D)@23.50. (£141) 4. Attractions/tourism@15/day. (£105) 5. Transportation @£7/day. (£42) 6. Miscellaneous (£250) Grand total. £1,250)
This is just about my one month salary. Do you guys in all honesty think that this will fly? your budget is on the high side. try to cut down some of ur expenses like food, transportation 20p should be ok, no need for miscellaneous during visa application. just my little input. |

zibe: Finally got my passport today with Tier 2 work visa issued.
Timeline: 2 August 2018 - Biometrics (paid for priority) 2 August 2018 - Passport transferred to UKVI 3 August 2018 - Got mail from UKVI confirming receipt and consideration by ECO 15 August 2018 - Passport collected
The above shows a 2week timeline (9 working days) instead of the 5 working days they said. In between the dates I've had to call UKVI twice and even visited TLS twice before finally getting it today. I'm not sure what's causing the current delay in returning visa as I met people with same delay issue. wahala dey o.
Off to book my flight. Goodluck everyone. please PM |

kokoli: Greetings to the good people of this forum. I.will appreciate your imput to these grey areas.I intend travelling to the UK with my hubby In filing the application,do we stand a better chance of being issued a visa if we apply individually or as a couple? We both have good paying jobs. 2. If it is better off applying as a couple, how do we get to fill the application to show we are applying as a couple? 3. which of the visa application links is better, simpler easier to use,? The old or the new application link ? I heard the old one is better but i want opinions from real users. 4. Then can I make payment for the visa application through GT Bank or must it be online? I will appreciate your candid responses Applying as a couple will be better. When filling the form, there are sections u will will be asked if you are traveling alone or with your spouse. in addition to this, when filling the TLS form, u fill as a group submission. I think the old application form is more straight forward. U can only pay online with a bank debit card or through paga online as well.. I hope this information helps. |

It was cool, though the Clearance Officer wanted to pull a fast one on me. After asking why I am coming to UK which I answered was for Vacationing purpose , asked me 2 other normal questions then asked me again If I am here for business purpose? I quickly put it straight to her again that I am here for vacationing. She just quickly stamp my entry and ask me to go in. |

alert20: @opomulero boss I was checking the documents I submitted now and found out I I did not submit a cover letter... I have typed and signed it but I forgot to add it to the other documents I submitted... That was how tls staff made me to forget giving her my invitation documents for scanning that leads to my first refusal. I had to quickly reapply so I can meet up with the exhibition program which is my main purpose of this visit. Just reapply with a new statement. All the best. |

Yes, I printed a new statement of account and also add all documents relating to the exhibition program with sworn affidavit stating that I inadvertently omitted them, paid for priority service so that I can meet up with the exhibition program opening date. And God have his way. |

Pls take note : I was not requested to pay money to attend the program. It's a free to attend exhibition in London. I also understand you are just required to register to gain access to the program.
But if it is becoming an issue, I don't know if it's advisable to reapply for tourist purpose alone.
Pls I will appreciate ur urgent response. quote author=ekpotek post=68061200] Q Be careful. The organizers should be able to sent you a formal invitation for visa spouse. You need to demand a formal invitation. UKVI will not accept anything else. Find out if this event is genuine. There a lot of bogus event organizers riping money from unsuspecting attendees.
|

Actually I didn't add this one except the previous e-badge I attached. quote author=alert20 post=68058867]can you pls post the invitation letter??
