The VO made it clear he knows the state so it would be helpful to have listed specific activities you planned on doing. The DMV actually has lots of interesting tourist attractions for the family like yours.
The vague answer seemed to raise doubts about your aim.

2. Your previous travel
My company also sends people on trips regularly even if they have only worked with us for a short time so I get.
However, you should have provided better context - like - I spent 8 weeks in Holland during a mandatory on-boarding training or I was in charge of a team implementing a new software system. These are examples. Yours should be the true story of what you did there. General biz trips are rarely that long. That instantly answers any questions or doubts.

Regarding next steps, you may consider Canada as they give long term visas and since you have a job, travel history etc, you have a solid chance.

As per the US, they are not smiling at the moment regarding birth Tourism. However, if you are determined, put together all relevant documentation and apply for a medical visa in 6 months plus.

I was asked to sharpie follow up appointment with 221g after submitting drop box application.

my question is, I was supposed to travel on 5th April which was filled in my ds160 form. now my new appointment date is 24th April meaning my travel date is no longer feasible. Do I have to fill a new ds160 form to reflect a new travel date? or I can still leave the ds160 on my profile since its on administrative process with them?

Travel history? I have no travel history (virgin passport)
I am not also married (single)
Monthly salary? I am into business. so months can be few thousands and some months few million. (all these funds are always entering and leaving within days. The 6 months statement from the account I submitted was close to 27M but 1.1M was the available balance before I submitted my application on the 8th of Feb 2019 (Paper submission Lagos).

Conference related to my work? No not related I never knew until the day I submitted my application cause an agent told me there was a Canada link that invitation will be sent that all I needed to do was provide my passport and data while they handle the rest.

I never knew what they (agent) were using to prepare my travel until the day I submitted and this does not relate to what I do.


Documents I can remember I submitted because I just glanced through before submiitting that day.

1. Reference letter from my bank
2. 6 months bank account state (over 25m inflow and outflow for 6months steadily active with 1.1m available balance before I submitted)
3. two landed properties receipts
4. The conference invitation reservation/confirmation letter (about $700 payment was made for the conference)
5. Letter of introduction from the nigeria organisation they used for the process
6. Letter of self introduction
7. Letter of confirmation of the same organisation
8. Hotel reservation (wish I also confirmed myself by calling the hotel)
9. Flight booking
10. Payslip (some months) from the same nigeria organisation used.

The only thing strange to me is the organisation used on my behalf. But every other things used that I also provided are all correct.

Please whats your advice and suggestions as regards reapplying now or later. I wasn't desperate to travel until a friend told me about this agent link because somebody we know from this agent got his last year

I still insist you apply for your GCMS note to get full details of the refusal. But the truth is that u need to work on your home ties and travel history if I should go by what you posted above.

2m in my bank account just for my travelling expenses paid by my employer.

browse CIC site for your GCMS note if u have someone in canada who is a citizen that can make payment for it for you. Another option, that is if you don't have a citizen friend, you can make use of a third party consultant who will assist you with the process. only that you will pay more.. hope this help.

The 2m was paid which I believe I will still return some balance to the company after my trip .

2m should be more than enough because I am going alone and I am spending one week .even the professional working in Canada earn $7000cad monthly is a big boy that will have some saving after some expenses.

I will go and collect my passport.if God wishes I will look for same conference in France or Germany and application for schenghen visa.

I begin to have another thought about those people because my refusal was never justify.

I would advice you apply for your GCMS note to know the main reason and if possible after that, reapply online so the London office can access ur application.

Do u have any travel history? is the intended conference related to your present profession or work? are u married with children? what is your monthly salary like? pls answer let's know how to advice you.

So I got my COPR yesterday and would like to apply for TRV for my mum who is a retired principal. So I called her to give me her UCI number because I know she had once applied before and got rejected.

Below is the story; please indulge me

My brother lives in America with his family and my mum has been there about 5 times. Usually she goes with my dad or with her best friend. She recently just came back last year October after spending 6 months.

Back in 2017, Her best friend also wanted them to visit her own younger sister in Canada , so she persuaded my mum to apply for TRV with her. Her younger sister was the one who did the whole application process for both of them. Surprisingly my mum wasn’t granted visa. But she wasn’t even bothered because she wasn’t interested in going. But her friend’s own clicked.

I stumbled on this thread to understand what to do to file for Mum’s visa, then i asked her for UCI number to create a profile for her. That was when she went to dig out the note the visa officer in charge of her application wrote. It’s too painful to read.

Apparently this her friend’s sister didn’t want her to come to Canada. Because my mum said she didn’t ask her for any documents. In the note I also saw that she ticked transit visa for my mum. Also my mum was asked for an interview and she didn’t even tell her. Human beings are wicked.

Now please, everyone help me. How do I turn this around. What do we tell the visa officer about what happened in 2017.

Please i need you to guide me with a draft of something I can elaborate on .

My mum must get visa o as I have multiple exams to write in Canada that can last a year. I need her support with the kids.

My parents are retired and are not working

There is nothing to look on the refusal letter. Travel history was the only reason for refusal. I will advice you apply for GCMI note to ascertain the main reason for her previous refusal so that you can tackle it head on in the new application.

So long u submitted online, u won't be requested to submit ur passport on the day u give your biometric.

Expect passport request if your application is successful.

I have also realized there is a new form which I have already filled but I don't know how to add my spouse to my application so as to make it a single application for us. The bank statement of account should be original if possible, while other back up documents can be clear scanned copies on A4 size paper.

you don't need to sign it again after validation. just upload like that. u are good.

I am planning to apply for a uk visit visa for myself, wife and new born baby in May for 11 days visit. I have visited Portugal (2017), Usa (2018 visa expiring in 2023), and Uk in 2016 but my wife has not traveled before and was refused 4 years ago when she was a student and not married.

I work at a bank with a montly salary of 480,000 naira excluding other allowances like clothing, rent, fuel and others and my wife is a CSO at a financial institution earning 68,481 naira monthly. I have an account balance of 1,500,000 and my wife also has about the same amount. I also have landed properties and cars I use for Uber. I think less than or almost 2 months of my salary will be enough for the trip

Please I hope my wife's previous refusal will not be a major issue with our visa applications and if there is any advise you will give me, please do

You will receive a mail from TLS later today or u can as well track the location of your passport on DHL website using the dhl reference number given to you on the day of submission. I used Abuja center.

UK visas are normally done online afterwards you go to the TLS office u choose while filling the form online for submition and biometric capturing.
