Just wise and other brains here ... I appreciate ur contributions at all times ... Have been offline for a while now and would be happy to have your View over a friends case.... she has applied for tourist Visa more than 6 times since 2012 and has never been granted the Visa at all... She was a salary earner between 2012-2016 until she started her own business in 2017 till date... she applied in 2018 September and reapplied again in October 2018 but Visa refused... First and second refusal letter attached... She has always applied for tourist Visa and would answer NO to the question is she knows anyone in the UK. now she wants to do apply next year February to visit her friend in the UK and the friend is willing to ro give all documents to support her application ... kindly advise on this . THANKS

ijeshaoflondon: let her correct the 2 issues why they denied her. thats all....... financial status and travel itinery...no be so? |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by ijeshaoflondon: 11:25pm On Dec 28, 2018 |
opomulero: That's what she did in the second application ... She submitted her companys account and savings account, letter from bank and companys receipts, Ltd business ess registration and confirmed hotel reservation ... She explained in her cover letter that her income varies that she's not a salary earner... The ECo assumed she submitted the companys account to support her application but she said she only submitted the account just to show the source of all proceeds being paid into her account ...since she is the business owner . NOW HER FRIEND IS READY TO INVITE HER... Can she go ahead or she should use hotel reservation since she claimed not knowing anyone in the UK in her previous application |

ijeshaoflondon: Bros can you advice your friend or relative to stop wasting money. Applying every 2 months reeks of desperation and likely violation of non immigrant visa rules. Hence you will likely be refused again. Relax first give it a space of 6 months to one year. Then you try again. Get someone who is genuine and experienced to help you fill your forms. Don’t use unscrupulous agents again. All the very best 5 Likes 1 Share |

Hi Everyone, Pls I want to make enquiries about the UK tier 2 visa procedures, as I am working on getting an offer for a teaching job. 1. The requirements 2. Visa fee 3. How long does it take? Thanks! |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by tasho105(m): 8:41am On Dec 29, 2018 |
Well said. Being refused for more than 6 times between 2012 and 2018 means he/she has been applying for once or more times every year. I would advise your friend to hold on for a year or 2 before applying for UK visa and try to change his/her status by visiting another country. ayobj: |

ayobj: HAVE TOLD HER TO CHILL TILL LIKE MID NEXT YEAR AND SHE AGREED ... SHE APPLIES ATLEAST ONCE IN A YEAR AND HAS BEEN DOING IT ALL BY HERSELF... She has never used an agent but would help her fill her form by next year inisha Allah. She decided to reapply in October 2018 after getting a silly response from them in September thinking she had a better chances of getting the Visa .She needs to know if her friend could invite her next year... |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by bigtt76(f): 9:19am On Dec 29, 2018 |
Bolded part is her main problem. People make mistakes of thinking because they own a business automatically they are not salary earner or shouldn't earn a salary. It's wrong. As a limited company owner, you have shareholders and a board of directors. You can't just use the business bank statement as your source of funding for a trip without the backing of the board. She also needs to get the board give her a steady salary or foot the trip as her entitlement. Ling story short, the ECO wants to see a clear separation of business funds from personal funds. The personal funds itself must be enough to cover the trip and still have enough left to fa back to on return from trip. This forms part of the close ties to home country. ijeshaoflondon: 1 Like |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by justwise(m): 9:34am On Dec 29, 2018 |
Doublej805: Why the desperation? Your tie to Nigeria at the moment is not very strong, the only thing you have going for you at the moment is that you are married but you don't have a job and can't sponsor your trip. Yes a family friend will be paying for the trip but that is just one side of the case, you need to demonstrate that you meet the requirements as well. so you need to convince the ECO about your relationship with that person and why he/she wants to pickup the bills to have you in London as a married woman. You will also need to support the source of 1M you have with evidence since you don't work at the moment. As a youth corper are you allowed to take foreign trip? If you can answer all these questions then go ahead and apply and read up the requirements here in this thread 2 Likes 2 Shares |

ijeshaoflondon: The next application will also be refused if she doesn't stop and wait for a significant change in her financial situation. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by Doublej805: 9:59am On Dec 29, 2018 |
Seems i didn't explain well @justwise. .. I'm a male not a female... the person inviting me is just like a dad to me.. And he promise to cover all my expenses down there... And he said he would be inviting me as his son... because we bear the same surname... but the only problem i have is my previous application in 2017... so I'm thinking of telling the CO that I wasn't the one that filled the 1st application.. that the application was filled by a travelling agent... so that i can change the previous fathers name to his name...I have a car here, I have landed property, and i have money with a cooperative firm that pays me interest... i can get a letter from NYSC to approve that I'm going for an holiday there.... Please all i need now is a good advice. Because the person inviting me adviced me to wait for this long which i did...so he is planning to invite me for the easter break..... please i need your help @justwise and other magnificent guru's in the house... please and please help a brother. |

Doublej805: Pretty sorry, hardly will you get this visa, genuinely. So many twist and turns (packaging in my opinion though) coupled with weak ties to naija. And finally, this reeks of absolute desperation, it won’t cut sh*t! |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by justwise(m): 11:04am On Dec 29, 2018 |
Doublej805: Your 10yrs ban from the UK is just an application a way. If you want to make an honest application then get documents to support the source of your money, present your car and landed property papers, marriage certificate and family pictures, letter from NYSC allowing you to travel, IV from him, evidence of accommodation, bank statement and payslips (6moths) and you explain what you tend to do in the UK if given a visa. 3 Likes 1 Share |

ijeshaoflondon: I think your friend should leave the UK alone totally and try elsewhere. The multiple applications convey desperation and they would probably have flagged her by now. Let her travel to other western countries for a couple of years first. Unfortunately getting a visa is not like seeking a job or any other endeavour where you try, try and keep trying hoping that perseverance will pay off. 2 Likes |

Gurus in the house, I appreciate your inputs in this thread. God bless you all. I'm planning to apply for a visit visa January 2019. My situation: I've been working since 2013 but got a new job June last year. I've a house in my name. Utility bills (Nepa) in my name and my address. My little reservation is I'm 17 months old in this my new job and I wouldn't want the ECO to assume my job ties is not strong because of longevity of service. My account is just okay. No outside deposits except my monthly salaries. No cash lodgement whatsoever. Please gurus, advice. Thank you all. |

I don't think 17 months old in an establishment will be an issue provided every other documentation. and circumstance are in order. 1 Like |
