I also thought I would have attached this one. It looks more explanatory.

My brother, I practically did all of that.
I did a cover letter stating the program, date and venue. I also attached a letter in respect to the program.
Pls find the attached letter.

hi sorry Bro....
did you submit a cover letter explaining why you want to visit the UK??
I think if you have explained that in a cover letter the ECO would have issued the visa because as it is now he/she doesn't have anything against you, just that you didn't mention where and when the conference is taken place and your own plan after the conference maybe you will visit some tourists site after the event...

pls this is just my own thought oooo, justwise, ekpotek, Chloe, bigbus and other gurus of these house will do justice to the letter...
Good day house,
Received my passport today but was refused based on a funny reason.
I practically attached the invitation letter when submitting my supporting documents at tlscontact-nigeria-lagos-abuja and also listed it along my visa supporting documents. Pls find attached refusal letter for your advice.
I intend applying immediately God willing next week. So that I can meet up with the exhibition program I propose attending on 21st of june.
Will be waiting for your contributions.

It’s better to come clean with all your cards, it won’t hurt to mention it, actually you’re the same person bothered about misrepresentation so why are you asking if it’s necessary
I have signed the declaration form. That means I have to fill another form

@justwise and ekpotek and other Gurus in the house

In the application form, I was asked if I have been refused UK visa within the past 10 years.

I actually replied "No" because the last time I applied to UK was like 14 years ago of which I was refused a student visa.

Pls house, tell me if am in order cos am about to submit my application. Am trying to avoid any misrepresentation issue from the ECO.

Thanks

Pls I need more opinions

You can use the additional information box on the last page to explain this .
Is it really necessary, when it was stated that for the last 10 years

@justwise, ekpotek and other Gurus in the house.

Adding previous UK refusal reference number to a present application compulsory? I was denied student visa in 2004 but could not lay my hands on the refusal letter nor the old passport I used then because I have to declare my previous refusal. Please respond cos I will be submitting a tourist visa application soonest.
Thanks for your attention.

Hi Gurus in the house, My Bank account statement is having opening balance of 400k and closing balance of 1.5m after six months.
My question, is the opening balance not too low? no huge money was deposited it was strictly on monthly salary progression. Will the ECO not raise issue regards the low opening balance? Pls respond @ justwise, ekpotek and other Gurus in the house.

Closing balance is ok. Book medview flight (it's very cheap), look for budget hotels or hostel (very affordable). All these will make your budget fit into the 750k you planned to spend. Get an accommodation close to the tourist attraction sites you plan to visit.

Thanks
Thanks for your response. I appreciate greatly.

You are good to go. You can use your salary account if you have a good cash flow there. If you have any lump sum in the account, do yourself a favour of writing a cover letter to explain such transaction.

Happy New year
My closing balance is about 1.5m
Hope it's OK?
Budget is not the only point that puts you on track, rather your application entirely. So you need to share with the house how you arrived at 750k, your monthly income, home ties, how long you are staying. Etc. With all that, you would get the best advice

Thanks for your response.
My monthly salary is approximately 420k, I have 2 landed properties , wife n three children. Been working with this company for 2 years now. Will be staying for 10 days. Flight will cost me about 220k, the balance is for feeding and accommodation.

Thanks as I await your response.
