SonOfEl: its only in nairaland that you can spew trash. in the real world, Biafra's bravery in self determination amidst huge opposition is something you cowards can never think of in your slavish life. There's a thin line between being brave and foolhardy my friend. I assume Banjo was able to see the difference between the two since he was right in the thick of it (and not sitting behind a desk pushing orders) at the point he was in he knew he couldn't take over Lagos and felt that the only brave thing to do was to swallow his pride , risk persecution by the ibos, and negotiate for peace, that would have saved a whooping 3million people!!! Think about it!! The foolhardy thing to do would have been to press on and still die with your poor soldiers and not be remembered and 3million people would still have died. So question is, should you be praising the person who would have saved your people from suffering or the person who caused the death of 3million of your people? |

hardbody: My uncle who fought closely by Ojukwu (May his RIP) told me this story way back and how his British wife fainted when she learnt that 'Banjo' was mandated to direct the offensive. (or something of that sort)
The rest is now history. Sorry what point are you trying to make? I miss the value of your post. Your uncle fought in the war and the only insight you can share is that his 'British' wife fainted? Come on now am sure you can do better |

We are going to court to seek redress and I can assure you we will bring this forum down. *Yawn* niqqa it's rude to keep one waiting, it's been a month already |

Armaggedon: port harcourt was coined by british but its original name is igweocha. If lagos is portuguese name, what is its yoruba name? Eko is bini word. If you claim there were yoruba pple there before bini conquered it, what name did they give lagos before it was named eko?
WHAT IS THE YORUBA NAME OF LAGOS? Oko http://www.hubert-herald.nl/NigeriaL.htm |

winniz: Lagos was previously called "Eko" by its kingdom of Benin conqueror, before the Portuguese the first European settlers renamed it to Lagos which means "Lake" in Portuguese. That's correct but it still does not prove anything. It's likely that before it was called Eko it had a different name called Okohttp://www.hubert-herald.nl/NigeriaL.htmCC: menabadoo |

menabadoo: What is the Yoruba name for Lagos? Eko is benin word
Tune in to radio Biafra Lagos, its airing now. menabadoo: you mean ojukwu? So lagos no get yoruba name sha. Lagos is not yoruba land after all, thanks to Nnamdi kanu. How does this prove anything? Even the name Lagos was coined by the portugese so does that mean the Portuguese own Lagos? Same with Nigeria which is an English name |

Sabrwahaqqo: As much as I didn't wanna comment at all, think I got to. The fact is that house and those things you see belongs to his multimillionaire bro, so, chill. Now leh me have a brief discussion wd yo mentality, Celebs gatu make sure they keep 'emselves in perfect tune wid current trends, they represent flamboyance, affluence n shits like that. You can't jez come here n start comparing 'em wd business men (having money in gazillions or worse ), those once aint concerned about life really cos they're self-bound and gat limits in relating to the public but if any celeb tries that n doesn't strive to remain relevant by being flamboyant or worse by doing tinz that will attract attention, he'll just wither off like the fallen flower....They just hv to keep us talking bout them. Be cool wd that! Wrong! You don't have to represent flamboyance... it's only rappers who rap about driving a bugatti that do that, those ones dig their graves and so they have to lie in it. But someone like Kcee has nothing to prove, he makes love songs and as long as he keeps releasing hits he will stay relevant, his music will speak for him. |

Jaxera: Absolute Foolishness!
Why can't people be wise and spend reasonably? When the money finishes, he will be the one pleading and begging like OJB
I once watched a documentary of Warren Buffet, the 3rd richest man in the world, with a Net worth of more than $46,billion
He still lives in the Omaha, Nebraska, a home he bought for $31,500 more than 50 years ago. He doesn’t own a yacht because, as he puts it,“Most toys are just a pain in the neck.”When he married his second wife, rather than a lavish wedding, it was just a brief afternoon wedding at his daughter’s house.
28 year old founder and Ceo of facebook, Mark Zuckerberg just drives an Acura, because according to him "it’s safe and not ostentatious"
He also wears the same gray t-shirt and hoodie to work every day because he doesn't have time to stress his brain on choices of things to wear.
His wedding to longtime girlfriend Priscilla Chan took place in his backyard.
These guys are billionaires in dollars, but kacee that don't have the assurance that he would still be wealthy come next year is just lavishly spending his money. Thanks bro you get sense. Sometimes I think black people don't deserve to have money because it seems we're the only ones who spend stupidly without reasoning and then declare bankruptcy e.g 50cent Think of what the money used to buy 2 or 4 of those shoes alone could do for the less privileged? Think of what will be left for your your future kids when you eventually have one, they won't need 40pairs of second hand shoes. |

Smoke2015: Yesterday evening an MDB reader forwarded the picture and video which was trending on WhatsApp, of this lady pictured above who allegedly committed suicide in the US after finding out that her husband was sleeping with her mum. The lady who according to unconfirmed reports circulating online is Ghanaian, and she jumped from a high rise to her death and nobody was able to save her. Don't know how recent the story is though, but see the very sad, and chilling video after the cut. Viewer descretion. baby124: Nigerians are sick o. Who framed up such a story. Tufiakwa. It shall not be well with that person. I hope this lady in the pic does not sue NL. This video is of a man from Philadelphia. Sean Mcgrellis. Who ever put this lie together will not die well. You took a mother's pic with her baby and attached it to this story to make it sweet. You must be a mad man. AMEN!!.. OP it's either you change your yeye lies now or the curse will fall on your head.
