Mbappe and Lewandowski both have 41 and 47 goals respectively with trophies. It's a tie bcus the goal difference isn't much, nice.
Well mbappe has just 3 goals than Messi, Messi has a trophy too. Somehow Messi doesn't stand a chance since mbappe probably has more goals. But then, mbappe is on par with lewa as you clearly stated. Let go of the sentiments bro
It's so hard explaining to a fanboy. Christ! I didn't say Messi dosen't stand a chance, but that Lewa, Mbappe, and Dr bruyne are currently ahead due to their goals and trophies won plus the same Mbappe eliminated Messi's team and literally scored a hat trick in Messi's backyard. It's like giving the best student of a school award to a person who wasn't even the best in his class; it's simply illogical. Like I said before, for Messi to be ahead he would have to do something insane like 2012 scoring 70, 80 goals a year to be chosen irrespective of what the others achieved. I am tired of going back and forth. If you can't understand how the award works, stop quoting me fanboy!

And it's not a tie, I said it's close but Lewa is still ahead. But Should France win the Euros and Mbappe is their protagonist winning the top scorer or best player, he would be favourite. That's why I said it's still early.

What form again? You said all those don't count that it's just goals and trophies. He has both already & Mbappe is never gonna outscore him this season again with just one league match left. The fact that they cheated him last season, would even make them give him this time to make it up to him
Can a player be scoring goals with ruthless consistency without being in good form? Stop going back and forth oga. Like I said before, if it is close between challengers then a tiebreaker would be needed. Lewa and Mbappe are on 47-41 goals and 1-2 trophies respectively which is pretty close. Hence why I said the Euro would possibly be the tiebreaker. We still have a long way to go so the pendulum might just swing to one player at one point then another in the next. But right now favourites are Lewa, Mbappe, Dr bruyne(who would usurp Lewa as the favourite should city win the UCL pending outcome of future tournaments like Euros) before Messi and Ronaldo in that order.

By your logic, Lewandowski is legit winning it this season. He's the highest goal scorer both in his local league and Europe, plus he's won the Bundesliga too. Mbappe schooled Messi at camp nou hence should win it ahead of him, great. Maybe KDB or Mahrez should win it too since they literally schooled mbappe at Parc de princes. A nigga never had a single shot on target, that should legit disqualify him undecided
Yes, Lewandowski is a strong favourite to win the award if he keeps his form till the end of year (not forgetting he equalled a record that stood for decades in his league). Plus the judges might just have a favouritism bias towards him seeing that they clearly denied him a Ballon d'or last year. Of course De bruyne is also a strong contender. Should City win the UCL, then he would be favourite seeing they would have completed a treble and he is clearly their best player. Mahrez is not a contender, he's not as consistent as the rest. The outcome of the UCL final and the Euros will definitely have a say and it's not looking good for Messi.

Perhaps immobile should've won the balon d'or last season as per he had the highest goal undecided. Ronaldo won the balon dor without having a trophy to his name in......... Man I've forgotten the year but I think it was around 13/14. It isn't always by trophies.
When I said Messi deserves it more, I know what I'm saying. Messi played good football this season. Mbappe may have more goals but I doubt if he can match Messi when it comes to overal performance. Plus he has a lot of star players who all as a team perform well, supplying him passes and all that. Messi on the other hand is in a shit team. Despite being in a shit team, he still plays well and stands out from the rest. In Laliga, He has more dribbles completed, passes completed, free kicks goals, highest goal scorer in the league with just 3 being penalties, not forgetting assists also.
If Messi were to switch team with mbappe, I doubt if mbappe would perform like the way he's doing atm. Try watching the highlight of barca vs atletico Bilbao on youtube if you havent. You'll see how Messi was destroying people's parents, and he's done it in so many matches too. Anyway, we'll never who will win it at the end of the season. It's just a matter of waiting.

P.s : I'm a Chelsea fan
Firstly, the Ballon d'or is a yearly award and though Immobile finished last season as top scorer in serie a, Ronaldo finished last year as top scorer in the league hence why he(CR7) won the serie a footballer of the year last year. Plus Immobile didn't win a spoon for his club to show for the goals he scored. Yes, Ronaldo did win the '14 Ballon d'or without winning any trophy and that was because he was head and shoulder above every other player individually that year; If I can recall he scored a whooping 69 goals with the closest challenger on 30 something goals, and also not forgetting that iconic Sweden performance. For Messi to win this year's award, he will have to do something crazy like he did in 2012 and I don't see that happening with this current Barca team. Not forgetting the judge's will juxtapose his achievement for the year with his closest challengers; and you don't expect them to give him ahead of Lewa who is scoring goals left, right and centre, or Mbappe who schooled Messi in his own turf.

Cristiano Ronaldo has the most enviable C.V of all players, past or present. He has records, awards, trophies and legacy spanning across the top 3 european leagues. Not forgetting he has a couple in his National team to boot. He is an EPL, La Liga, Serie a and not forgetting a football legend. For someone that has seen and won it all, I wonder where he gets the motivation to keep going. Simply the greatest ever!

You're using a single match to judge who played better in a single season? Lol pls don't make me laugh. Btw, mbappe played way better than Messi in the first leg. He was almost invincible in the second leg if not for the pen he scored. Messi outplayed everyone in the second leg, even scoring a banger. I'm sure he would've had a few assists to his name too if dembele and other overrated barca players were a bit more clinical
Season goals: Mbappe 41, Messi 38.
Trophies won: Mbappe 2(with a minute possibility of adding the league), Messi 1.
I made it easier for you by using the match both played together, still Mbappe was still ahead. What then should I use to judge both, Messi fanboy?

Are psg even winning the Ligue 1 this season? I doubt it since one more win from lille would guarantee them the title. In the meantime, mbappe is never gonna be fav for the balon d'or this season. Getting among the top 10 is the highest he can get to, that's if he wins the euro. Lewandowski has a better chance of winning, heck even Messi played good football this season and stands a better chance. Doesn't matter if Copa del Rey is the only cup he won this season. Balon d'or is given to an individual who performed better than others.
And how did Messi perform better when Mbappe outshined him when both met in the UCL?

Eh he scores too many pens and in a farmers league too. grin Anyway, you can only win the golden boot with league goals only so.......
He will win the top scorer of his league just like Messi and CR, only Lewa will win the European golden boot. Btw, he had more UCL goals than all three and was only behind Haaland in the scoring charts ( not forgetting 6 of his 8 goals were against Bar a and Bayern). If France win the Euros which I am sure he will be the team's protagonist, the he will be favourite for the Ballon d'or.

For real? But Lewandowski has 40 goals atm and he is leading the race for the golden boot this season. Where'd you get this stat from?
Not league only, all competitions:
Lewa-47
Mbappe-41
Messi-38
Cr7-36

League only:
Lewa-40
Messi-30
CR7-29
Mbappe-25

Messi has won Copa del rey and won't win anything. Ronaldo has won Coppa Italia. Messi will finish top scorer so will Ronald. Both will finish at around 30 goals mark. only two players will have more goals than these two in all european leagues, are Lewandowski who is at his peak & Onuachu(GENK, Belgian SL). So if anyone thinking CR7 & LM10 are finished, think again.

Mbappe has 41 goals and two titles.

"Most likely dominate the next generation."

The phrase "most likely" already renders your submission worthless as toilet paper.

He has not dominated a generation yet and that is why you are using the phrase "most likely"
His generation has not gotten to the top yet.

By the time they do, then their era begins.

As for Halaand, what is the special achievement he has made?
He scored goals for 2 seasons like Immobile and he's world class already?
He's on his way to be world class but let him do it for 4 or 5 seasons consistently.
You just shot yourself in your foot with that Immobile comparison. Where was Immobile when he was 20 yrs? The same Immobile who played for the same Dortmund team and was considered a flop is what you are comparing to Haaland who equalled Immobile's total Bundesliga tally in 23 minutes on his debut. How many UCL goals does Immobile have at 31 (9 goals), whilst Haaland at 20 is already on 17 goals; was the 2nd top scorer last season despite his team being eliminated in the R16 and is the current topscorer this season ahead of household names like Lewa, Messi, CR and other "world class" strikers. Immobile only started becoming relevant when he moved to Lazio, he wasn't beasting a top 5 european league/UCL at 20. Infact, none of your current "world class" strikers was this dominant in the UCL at 20. Yet you just opened your mouth to say Haaland is not yet world class. Your matter tire me aswear.

Before You start disgracing yourself open your dictionary and check the meaning of a generational player.

Everything you posted in thrash post up there does not define a generational player.

"A generational player is one who completely dominates his generation"

Which generation has Mbappe dominated?

Have Messi and Ronaldo allowed anybody else to dominate this generation?

The generation of the likes of Mbappe, Dembele, Fati, Pedri, Asensio, Rashford, Haaland and co will only be judged by the next 6 or 7 years, not now.

If Mbappe plays at this level till maybe year 2030, then he would most likely have dominated the post Messi/Ronaldo era.
Oga keep mute and stop explaining nonsense. We are talking young players here, so common sense should have told you that generational meant young players who would most likely dominate the next generation with what he have seen so far(generational talent not player). Amongst the current young players Mbappe and Haaland are above the others in terms of skill set and talent and would most likely dominate the next generation. Or we should put Messi and Ronaldo in generational bracket when we are talking strictly about young players? For your own good I hope Messi retires, so that you will stop bringing him up in every conversation. The generation of Messi and Ronaldo is sadly coming to an end, the new generation has already started and the comparisons are already being made. We won't wait till 6 or 7 years before we judge them; they will be be judged every week from now till 8/9 years as was the case of Messi and Ronaldo.

Btw, you still haven't answered what Haaland has to do to be world class. Or is Mbappe the only world class young player we have today?

Trophies aside Mbappe is not "clear" plus he costs more and the complications are toomuch

Halaand is a relatively easy buy apart from Raiola
Mbappe is faster, better dribbler, better passer, both are equally good finishers. Plus Mbappe can player anywhere in attack not just centrally. He is clear.

Nobody there is generational.

Only Mbappe is world class.

Haaland is on his way to being World class but he hasn't done enough to cement it yet.
Mbappe already has more goals, more assist than Messi at the same age, won a world cup being an integral member of team, scored in a world cup final at 19, completely dominated your GOAT in his own stadium, 3rd all time top scorer of PSG and is still 22. He is generational. And what should Haaland do to be called world class?
