haha. I agree with u guys for the most part. But tbh I think Tpia has a valid point. 5 thousand years ago there was nothing absurd about genocide and all that . . . I think we should acknowledge that much. If u wanted to survive back then, at some point you would most likely have had to massacre somebody else. That doesn't change the fact that God endorsed it tho, but he wasn't endorsing the absurd, IMO. Unless we are judging by 2010 standards. . .
Music/RadioRe: The Unofficial Nairaland Mixtape - The Plan. by Krayola(m): 1:22pm On Mar 24, 2010
I'm in!!

I think it's going to be hard to coordinate tho. Some people have to pay for studio time and all that, and it may just be complicated getting audio files sent all over the place and still ending up with a final product that sounds decent. But I still think it's a great idea regardless. I wish I had Nigerians around me to work with. I'm stuck with my Canadian and Akata friends and they don't understand 95% of what I'm saying, and since I refuse to do that yankee stuff I pretty much have to come up with all my material myself. Working with people makes things better IMO. Just more ideas to incorporate into your stuff, and different styles etc. Nice one, Elrazur.

Being mad at the partner is an emotion . . . ending the marriage if she won't continue with the cheating is quite irrational, especially when she sincerely loves him.
hey. . . I agree that he doesn't have to tell. I'm with u on that  grin . i just don't think we have a legitimate reason. Wanting to end a marriage because your partner cheated may not be irrational.  Even if u sincerely love the partner.

eldee:
The partner is not affected till he/she knows.

The simple truth is . . . telling him/her will cause the partner to make irrational decisions through emotions.

This is a simple case of Stirring unnecessary trouble V Going on with the marriage
haha. I feel u, but is being mad at a cheating partner really an irrational decision?
Music/RadioRe: Is Droping A Dance Track Sell Out? ( For Rappers) by Krayola(m): 4:01pm On Mar 23, 2010
haha. People will always have sumn to say. U can't get caught up in what people say or think. . . One has to get beyond that. Ruggedy will do his thing and if his music is hot it will sell. People will always talk crap. . . . it says more about them than about the artist.

It's one thing to criticize the quality of a song. . . but to criticize an artist for making a type of song, even when it is a great song, is just, IMO, foolish.
FamilyRe: Do I Have To Confess My Adultery To My Spouse? by Krayola(m): 3:51pm On Mar 23, 2010
shocked Don't tell her Nada. In fact, cheat on her again. The more u do it the more comfortable u will be with it. Before u know it cheating will be 2nd nature  grin grin

On a serious note tho. . . I think honesty is EVERYTHING. If u think she will be able to forgive you then you should tell her. It might even make her trust you more. She will be angry but over time she will get over it. . . u just have to serve some hard time (kissing her a$$ for a while). Seems like u love ur partner sincerely. Goodluck. . .hope things work out for u.
Music/RadioRe: Is Droping A Dance Track Sell Out? ( For Rappers) by Krayola(m): 3:23pm On Mar 23, 2010
IMO, rappers are entertainers first. Their job is to entertain people. . .not to fit into some mold. No such thing as selling out as long as the motivation is a genuine desire to create something original. "selling out" for me is when an artist, rather than follow his own heart, is more worried about what people will think about his/her career moves.

Remember, the product is not the artist. . . it is a just a product of his/her imagination. Equating the product with the artist's person says more about the shallowness of a person than about the artist. Dance to the song if it makes u wanna dance. Appreciate it for what it is. My 2 cents.

When they were in a position of power, genocide was endorsed by God, an eye for an eye, etc. . . . when they were weak and oppressed the message became Love and do unto others as u will want done unto you. . . . . Seems to me that somebody learned a lesson the hard way.

We are a products/victims of our time and space. We react to what is going on around us. . . our  worldview should, IMO, change and evolve as we learn and experience more. Sticking to some 2000 year old worldview that causes one to "believe" ridiculous things is, IMO, unhealthy for us.

Christianity EtcRe: Biblical Inerrancy by Krayola(m): 1:05am On Mar 23, 2010
haha My point exactly. The original Hebrew translation makes no sense. the different versions in existing Bibles show attempts made to make sense out of something that makes no sense. The stuff I posted shows that it makes perfect sense if u understand what the authors are trying to do when they tell us stuff like that. What their concerns are. Hopefully u read it sometime

It is naive to assume ancient authors understood history like we do, and I was hoping you would actually read that. But as usual u just dismiss stuff.

Genesis one and two  were not written to tell us about the origin of the earth, or of man. They were written to tell us about God's relationship with man, and his position in the universe. The narrative are a means to an end, and not the end in themselves. Sleep well.

1Sa 13:1  SAUL WAS [forty] years old when he began to reign; and when he had reigned two years over Israel,  (AMP)

1Sa 13:1  Saul reigned one year; and when he had reigned two years over Israel,  (KJV)

In the Original Hebrew, shâ'ûl mâlak bên shânâh

שׁאוּל
מלך
בּן
שׁנה    שׁנה

read "Saul was the son of one year". Was Saul ONE YEAR OLD? huh  undecided

It was a colloquial expression, Mr Man.

The original text was "Saul was the son of one year", and I understand that to mean he was very weak and impolitic, but very soon he became strong-willed enough, it was counted as "another era" or a "second year". The Message does a better translation:

1Sa 13:1  Saul was a young man when he began as king. He was king over Israel for many years. (MSG)

GW (God's Word) translators actually believe that these impolitic years of Saul were much more than one year, as the historic timeline also shows (there goes your maths out of the window, Mr Krayola) :

1Sa 13:1  Saul was thirty years old when he became king, and he was king of Israel forty-two years.

CEV makes an attempt: 1Sa 13:1  Saul was a young man when he became king, and he ruled Israel for two years.

When Saul got strong-willed enough, this happened in the next few verses.

I am sure you get the idea. IMHO, if one really wants to understand the Bible, there are three versions I can vouch for. The KJV (ONLY when you consider the original Greek and Hebrew), The AMPLIFIED and The Message most especially, where the colloquial expressions have been transferred as well into English.

By the way, what are we doing now? Examining "101 contradictions in the Bible"? I don't have time for this, dawg  undecided

I already told you the Bible is not your academic reference. You need to read it with your spiritual eyes open. If you have none, you will see whatever you want to see there!
So different versions of the bible have different texts, and the best you can do is "colloquial question" and "open your spiritual eyes"?

The original tells us one year,  another has young man, some have thirty years, and some versions just leave it blank ( just leave "____________", and you have your own interpretation sef  grin . and you sit here and tell me that if u have your spiritual eyes open, it will all make sense?

I rest my case.

Are you being funny, Krayola? I said

Does anthropology have the answer to this? huh huh Or does it NOT reckon with respect to time as well? We can't be having this discussion, because you do not believe that God, who is eternal, exists. Even TIME itself is a creation of God. So a pre-time existence will not make sense to you. huh
haha. U see this thing is very simple. all this one u are talkin about before time or after time sounds great, but IMO, you are not saying anything that means much as far s what we are discussing goes.

According to the Bible Cane and Abel were farmers and hunters. They just knew how and I'm guessing had their tools. Anthropology shows us tools that date back much longer, and explains the evolution of them, and how we got to the tools that were available 6000 years ago.  .  . there is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much we know about pre-historic humans, that I really don't understand how U can say the stuff you are saying with a straight face.

I, for instance, am confident in knowing that since Christ walked the earth, the earth is roughly 2000 years older. That's okay enough for me, and I'm also right! Because I have specified my own frame of reference.
Ok.

InesQor:
YEC folk like Olaadegbu who say the earth is 6000 years since Adam walked the earth, they are also correct!
Who is Adam? And why does the day he "popped into existence" have anything to do with the age of the earth? I do not believe Adam was an actual human being who was the first on the Earth, was created n adult, and the father of the entire human race.  If Adam was a historal person that lived 6000 years ago, fine. I still do not understand how that affects what I'm saying though. . .  undecided

InesQor:
But the Old Earth folk who say the earth is billions of years old, don't you think it's funny that they can't place their fingers on the initial reference point on the scales of time? huh
The "Old Earth folk"  state that this planet has been here for billions of years. . . The "initial reference point" is the present, and the counting is being done backwards.
