I wish the best for this nation. I often wish for the Buhari/Idiagbons regimes tough stance on indiscipline and corruption to be reenacted but this is democracy where my hopes are limited.

Why did it take them this long to discern?

Point of correction Baba, it is purely a rebellion against the overbearing political influence of Bola Tinubu in APC and not against the Yoruba nation.

Relying on the popular adage that "what an elder sees sitting down a child who climbs a NITEL mast will not see" ......lets all give Buhari the needed time to fix Nigeria.

Elders don't rush to take decisions but when they do we often see their wealth of wisdom.

One of the major characteristics of youthful exuberance is HOT BLOOD, it must be now now, now or never!

Politics / Re: SSS Fights Back, Accuses Buhari’s ADC Of Ignorance, Overzealousness-PremiumTimes by kromoto: 9:05am On Jun 29, 2015
emmatok:

The CSO is a Paramilitary Personnel, while the ADC assigned by the DHQ is a Military personnel.

The Military is superior to every Paramilitary organisation in Nigerian, Police,DSS, e.t.c

Due the superiority tussle among the GUYS, the other Presidents usually bring in Retired Military personnel (from DMI) to head the DSS, this way the DSS/SSS guys will blend easily with the military guy.

The Head of the DSS under OBJ regime was a Retired Military Officer from DMI.

You are greatly misinforming the public... The military is not superior to any security organization( they refer to themselves as sister security agency). Before Yaradua became president, all HOS or President appointed who they felt will be loyal and trustworthy to them to head SSS knowing how powerful and useful they are in RULING Nigeria.

In deciding who becomes DG they opten bypass senior Directors within the sss and bring or impose someone on the organization just like Obasanjo did with Are. Such executive impunity stopped from Yaradua who appointed Gadzama as DG thereby allowing internal succession.

Enough has been said already! If Buhari who knows DSS better in its days of NSO decides to allow this petty issues take over professionalism and competence which the sss has shown all along, then I wish him well.

The men of the DSS were the ones who abandoned their constitutional duties to play politics a long time ago. Why should the President now entrust his security to them. Make them kill am? Where were you when Marilyn Ogar and co were playing politics with national issues? If na you, you will allow the same people to secure your bed at night? God forbid.

But the same DSS protected Buhari while he was Head of State. The primary duty of the DSS is to protect the intergrity of Nigeria and the sitting C in C. if anything happens to the CinC, the DSS will be gravely embarrassed and rubbished more than any security outfit in Nigeria.

My brother what is simply at play is just inter agency rivalry and craze for supremacy not minding how compromising it will be to the CinC. The military feels Buhari is their own, every other security should stay off but they are wrong.

If you read Damabazu's work, you see a very analytical mind. There is a lot the man has written about Nigeria which has come to pass and he clearly understands the reasons why some organizations should be apolitical e.g the military in the face of crisis. I read some of the man's work and it was impressive to say the least. The man is a scholar not your stereotypical aboki wey no go school. Some of these blogs sef, they just wake up and start compiling articles without doing research

A LEADER prefers honest men around him than deceitful beings. Danbazau should stop causing division in the Presidential Villa among the military and DSS. A man of his so called knowledge should not be mentioned as an arrowhead in the tension we hear exist in the villa.

What a thread.

Giving unnecessary importance to a disgruntled Army General whose aim is to disorganise Nigerian security agencies in order to achieve his personal interest.

I strongly believe Buhari will not make the costly mistake of believing that this man's sinister moves around him will not compromise his security and that of the nation.

Too many wolves in sheep clothing around. May God grant Buhari the wisdom to discern his aides.

Yorubas are the only one angry with Saraki. You wanted Tinubu to import his zombie imposition he has been doing in the Sw into our national polity.

Thank you Saraki for guaranteeing the independence of our NASS,a situation where the leaders of the NASS will be controlled by a puppet master would have spelled doom for our democracy.
Saraki also ensured all the geo-political zones were represented in the sharing of principal offices. This man is a national hero who should be celebrated by well meaning Nigerians

I hate to think Tinubu is this soo powerful. Your analysis is quite right and also adds to the fact that Buhari is fully in support of this wrangling to invalidate or paint Tinubu bad.

Most Nigerians who are sympathetic to Saraki (you being chief) do so in total disgust to Tinubu's overbearing influence in politics but we must still give him some credit.

Anyway the reason for APC strength and survival lies in the character and person of Muhammadu Buhari. Let's watch and see what happens in 2019 if Buhari decides to keep to his word of not contesting.

This man should just keep quiet, since Nigerians forget things too easily he will regain some acceptance after being off the radar for some time.

He now seem to have taken the position Amaechi once occupied.
