Some hosting companies come with free domain name. So what you need to do is to buy basic hosting plan (less than 3,500NGN per year). Basic plans have limited resources like mail accounts, space, etc. but at your stage, this shouldn't worry you. Basically, they'll send your C-panel login details to your mail. You can log in there to set up mails, get your IP and FTP port number (typical). It takes 24 hours to propagate globally. Then you get an FTP client (anyone) and use it to access your root folders using the IP address and port number you got above. Through this FTP client, you can upload your site folder. And voilà! You're online!

Please I need your help.

I've been planning on programming a website from scratch since last 2 years. I just wanna know how to do it, tho I know its not gonna be easy. So I planned on getting a PC but the issue was that I never got the PC.

But my uncle has a computer business centre where I go sometimes. So I decided to start with a Desktop computer there. So I've learnt a few things in just 3 days (would've grabbed more if I owned a PC).

Now the problem is, how do I link it to the web? Cuz its just on the Desktop (the normal "index.html" stuff). Even though its still kinda trash, you know, its encouraging to see that you've at least gotten somewhere, tho i know I've not gotten to know up to 0.1% of programming. Also how do I get a domain? Given the fact that I'll be the one programming the website without needing any host, would i still pay for a domain?

I'll really appreciate if someone here puts me through. Pleeeeaaassseee.

Sorry for posting this here, just that I believe I'll reach more people here.

Am a student in 100 level.
And since this lockdown, its not been easy.
So I heard about some kinda online businesses and I decided to check them out. One of such is that u can get paid to watch YouTube videos, follow someone on Instagram/twitter and like some of their posts, or do surveys. I heard there are some companies that pay people to do the above mentioned task, and those companies are paid by the person that wants his/her videos to be watched, or to be followed, or post to be liked.

So I checked some online. Now most of them don't allow Nigerians to sign up or participate. I'm actually doing one right now sha but its another link I got from someone else but its going slowly. I made just 400 naira in 3 days. I know its gonna be that way that's why I need more to run. I just need something to get my hands on that'll bring some cash.
