Family May Face Punishment In Achina, Anambra State For Land Invasion - Court Documents Reveals

The family of Late Edwin Onyiliagha is at risk of paying over N40m in fine for trespassing, conspiracy and invasion of the family land of Late Nze Ambrose Okpalaku of Umulolo, Umuezeiyi Village, Achina, Anambra State.

In a case brought to the Federal High Court Ekwulobia with suit number: AG/7/2024, the plaintiff, Nze Nathaniel Okpalaku is on behalf of his family seeking the imposition of a Twenty Million Naira fine as general damages for trespass and another Twenty Million Naira fine as general damages for conversion against the defendants.

In the court document, the defendants which include Mr Charles Onyiliagha, Mr Anthony Onyiliagha were alleged to have on January 5th, 2024, conspired with others to invade the land belonging to the family of Late Nze Ambrose Okpalaku.

During the invasion, eyewitnesses confirmed that the defendants and their armed thugs cut down one of the breadfruit trees (ukwa) on the land and also carted away all the breadfruits and logs of wood from the said tree they felled, despite protests from members of Late Nze Ambrose Okpalaku’s family present.

The said tree was located on the part of Late Nze Ambrose Okpalaku’s land in front of the fourth portion of Late Mr. Edwin Onyiliagha’s Compound.

As if the damages caused were not enough, on the 8th of January 2024, the defendants and their armed thugs again invaded the land of Late Nze Ambrose Okpalaku which belongs to the plaintiff’s family. This time, the invasion was on the smaller part of the land of Late Nze Ambrose Okpalaku located in front of the empty portion of Late Mr. Edwin Onyiliagha’s Compound.

During the invasion, the defendants and their armed thugs cut down another breadfruit tree (ukwa) and a pear tree (ube) situate on the said land of Late Nze Ambrose Okpalaku, and also carted away all the breadfruits, pears and logs of wood from the said trees they felled, despite protests from members of Late Nze Ambrose Okpalaku’s family.

In an interview, the Plaintiff, Nze Nathaniel Okpalaku confirmed that his father, Late Nze Ambrose Okpalaku, was the undisputed owner in exclusive possession of the already stated parcel of land situated at Umulolo, Umuezeiyi Village, Achina in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State.

He stated that Late Nze Ambrose Okpalaku acquired the land from his forbears by way of customary inheritance under Achina native laws and custom, and from time immemorial, ownership of the said land have remained with the progenitors and have progressively devolved on their descendants down to Late Nze Ambrose Okpalaku.

Nze Okpalaku expressed surprise that the family of Late Mr. Edwin Onyiliagha who were beneficiaries of Late Nze Ambrose Okpalaku's benevolence through the granting of the plea by Late Mr. Edwin Onyiliagha for an access road to his compound, would conspire to invade the land of the man who sacrificed parts of his land to give them a better access road to their compound even though they had an access road initially.

Emboldened by their rascality, Late Mr. Edwin Onyiliagha's family went further to obtain a purported Notice of Abate from the Aguata Local Government Health Department, to force my family to cut the economic trees in our compound, Nze Okpalaku stated, while vowing to ensure that he uses every legal means possible to forestall future occurrence of such incident.

Culture / Recognize The People's Preferred Candidate, Ojoto Elders, Stakeholders Urge Gove by Kubany: 10:44am On Feb 20, 2018
Elders and major Stakeholders in Ojoto kingship matters have called on government to heed the provisions of the Community's constitution and traditions in resolving her traditional rulership tussles, to ensure that the monarch preferred by the people is enthroned.

The call is coming on the heels of the conclusion of public hearing by a Panel set up by Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano to look into the remote and immediate causes of the Igweship crisis in the community.

Also, was the accusation of bias on the part of some members of the Panel whose negative influence, some quarters in the community fingered as the reason why the Panel overstepped its boundaries in going ahead to conduct the screening of Igweship candidates at the government House, Awka.

For the generality of the respondents, never has it been heard in the history of the community that screening and selection of candidates for the traditional stool of the town is conducted outside Ojoto Akanasato Community.
More worrisome to them also, was the fact that the members of the Panel do not have the right to conduct the exercise according to the constitution of the town which clearly stipulates that the Village whose turn it is to produce an Igwe, will select their candidate and present to the community.

First to fault the entire arrangement was One of the kingmakers in the community, an Octogenarian, Chief Dan Ilonze, who as the President General of Ojoto presided over the signing of the current operational Constitution into law, with which two past monarchs were crowned.

According to him, any attempt by government or any of its officers or agent to perform the selection for them would be an aberration that portends great danger not only for the community but also, for Anambra State.
"There has never anything like that since I was born in this community. Ojoto Akanasato Constitution remains the manual with which Kings have been installed in the community. In very clear terms, it envisages and puts to rest several issues anticipated that will crop up in the cause of installing Kings in the town and it has worked so far. Ojoto is a core Igbo community that adheres tenaciously to its cultures and traditions. Let it not be heard that such atrocity is perpetrated in the community, at this time when the State is on a steady course towards growth and advancement."

For Chief Samuel Maduabuchukwu Ezimuo, who is the Ikenga of Ojoto, the Town has selected and installed her monarch in the person of Igwe Elect, Chief Dennis Adindu Okafor and presently awaits the presentation of Certification of Recognition to him by the governor.
He described the present antics of some very wealthy individuals in the community who have no single positive plan for the state government or Ojoto as capable of plunging the town into backwardness.

" I am the oldest living Ichie in Ojoto today, hence can rightly describe myself as the encyclopedia of our custom and tradition especially as it has to do with selection and installation of our monarchs.

I was there when the late Igwe Augustine Obidiwe was installed, later dethroned for the late Igwe Adirika. Then when Adirika joined our ancestors, it reverted back to Obidiwe again and now Igwe Dennis Okafor. All procedures were duly followed, because Igwe stool is not a political office and Ojoto is never a political party. No government official or Dr Menakaya will select or install an Igwe that would reign in Ojoto for us in Awka. "

There was also the testimony of Chief Godwin Efoagui, the Ojomo Ojor(Okpala Ojor) whose inalienable traditional right it was to crown all monarchs for Ojoto, that he crowned Okafor in line with the laid down processes, having emerged from the selection process set out in the constitution of Ojoto and accepted by the Town Union.

"I can testify that the selection of Chief Okafor was done at the village level after which he was duly presented to the Town Union who in turn wrote the local and State Governments. Being the turn of Umuofor kindred of Enugo village, Chief Okafor was selected in line with the traditions of the land. Why would government at this point, want to throw caution to the wind and impose a candidate on the people. I strongly believe there is something wrong", he said.

Suspect Accused of Changing Identity to Escape Justice in South African

NOV 24, 2017 8:42 AM

The South African Fraud Prevention Service (SAFPS) on Thursday filed new charges of "Fraudulent Identity" against Mr. Chinedu Akpunonu (AKA Obrocho) whom was on Thursday, November 16th, 2017, arraigned before an Anambra State Magistrate Court sitting at Ozubulu, Ekwusigo Local Government Area, Anambra State, over the alleged involvement in the killings at St Philip’s Catholic Church, Ozubulu, on August 6, 2017. - Channel 2 Action News reported.

A clear indication in the above Passport shows that Mr. Chinedu Akpunonu Christopher changed his name to AKPUONU GREAT C. Hence, investigation from the South African Fraud Prevention Service (SAFPS) revealed that Mr. Chinedu has this fictitious name which made him the leader of the deadly gang called "GREAT MEN". The group has been under investigation since 2013 and has been accused of many crimes of engaging in fraudulent activities, kidnapping, drug trafficking e.t.c. in South Africa.

Investigations revealed the dual citizenship of the popular gang Leader, Mr. Akpunonu, who specializes in making money through sharp and fraudulent practices, assassination, illicit drug trafficking and high network kidnapping in south Africa.
To ensure a continum, Akpunonu attempted changing his identity to sweep under the carpet the crimes, illegal activities and atrocities he has committed to never see the light of the day. But unfortunately, Obrocho as popularly called is now in the custody of the Nigeria Police.

Politics / The Ozubulu Massacre, My Family's Ordeal by Kubany: 8:10pm On Nov 11, 2017
The Ozubulu church massacre on the 6th of August 2017 left a huge vacuum on our household. We lost a very dear brother and bread winner. Ever since my brother Evaritus lost his life in that ugly incident, our family has never remained the same. Our ailing mother's health has heavily deteriorated. Evaritus when he was alive took care of mum and paid our school fees through school. Losing him in such an ugly manner remains a sad event.

Hailing from Ozubulu, everyone knows that Chinedu Akpunonu aka Obrocho was behind the massacre at St Philip's Catholic Church Amakwa Ozubulu. Obrocho has always been a terror to the people around him. He would always have one case or the other to answer either in his kindered or in the Igwe's palace each time he comes home. All our boys that have travelled with him to South Africa usually lament of Oborocho's unfair treatment. His greed in business never allows him give fair treatment to the boys that serve him.

A cousin of mine that served him in South Africa came home with nothing. Oborocho's consisted cheating of his boys has caused some of them to leave him and find other ways and other means of survival, still Oborocho will not let them be, he would always threatened them. The Ozubulu incident was Oborocho trying to cover his tracks by wanting to get back at people he felt were beginning to do better than him. But why would he kill innocent people in the process, why would my brother Evaritus pay the ultimate price over something he knew nothing about.

What an abomination that somebody will launch such an attack on his hometown. Information has it that Obrocho contracted one Mr Onyebuchi Mbanaefo aka Doggy Dog from Atani who organized some boys that perfected that Sunday morning ugly attack on our hometown Ozubulu. God will not forgive you Chinedu for bringing such pain to our people and to my family. I will continue to expose you.

My name is Joseph Ofojiaku

Anambra is a forward moving state that technocrats are elected governors nor career politicianslike Andy Uba the thief

Who says career politicians can't do well, Ngige Performed Better. Obaino has not particularly impressed us. Unlike Peter Obi he has been busy running media promotions and Signing MOU's. We will shock him and everyone of his supporters in November 18.

My brother be careful with what you do online.
I don't see why you should mention her real name and include her pix and phone number here. That's reckless to say the least. If silly guys here begin to call her and she finds out what you did, it could be turn tables for you.
She could report to the police that you sent guys to harass and threaten her. She could even claim rape or death threats. And you know how Nigerian police works, na who report first dey win, it's ur word against hers.
If you're jailed for slander and whatever with a bail of 5million, wouldn't you blame your village witches?
Pls be careful my friend, thread easy.

**MY UGLY ENCOUNTER WITH A LADY CALLED GRACE (TRUE STORY)**

I got a shock of my life yesterday. As I was watching my favorite team Chelsea play yesterday. A lady I knew called me on phone acting all loved up, I have known this girl for the last two months,  so I said she should come of over to the pool side where I was watching football. Not quite long,  she arrived, then the matched has ended and I was quite happy that we won against Bournemouth to maintain our 7 point lead on the league. So I sat with the girl at the bar gisting and chating. She, as most ladies do took my phone and was watching pictures. Then I asked her what would you drink? She said what she wanted then as I was about to go get it from the bar tender, she said she needed to make a phone call but the loudness of the music will be a hindrance and she left her seat to move away from the bar a bit holding both my phone and her Nokia touch in her ear while she makes the call. My people, after I bought the drink she requested, I sat at the table for a while waiting for her to return, 10 mins turned to 20 mins and 20 turned to 30, and I said let me go check her out. Brethren, I searched the whole hotel,  I couldn't find this girl, it was unbelievable!, I was in shock and asked myself, has she been kidnapped? But unknown to her, I'm friends with a friend of her whom there friendship has gone sour ( you know girls and friendship) luckily for me, this her friend was home and I told her what happened. She seemed shocked but told me though she can't call Grace (that's her name) because their friendship has gone sour, but there are some friend of hers who will be entering Awka that yestersay night and they are supposed to meet up with grace - so she called them and they told her that they will meet up with grace at Joburg hotel, I think that's in Okpuno. Guys behold as I got there she was there chilling with her friends, she was shocked when she saw me and speedily walked up to me, as I walked to her I stretched my hand and my phone return to my palms. I opened it, she has put my phone on airplane mode and has changed my wallpaper with her pictures, she even took some pictures with the phone already. I have never raised my hand on a woman before but I so felt like at that point, however, I retreated and quickly left the hotel wondering if this was a dream or real. This incident will completely change my attitude towards ladies in the coming months and years.

This happened yesterday  7th April, 2017. She took my phone around 7pm and I got it back around 9pm.

Glory be to God!

End of Story.

That's Grace insert, a picture she took with my phone after she left with it
