Now the entire thing is looking like child's play. Has there ever been any volunteer service that doesn't attract criticisms? Choosing to serve voluntarily doesn't mean you are not answerable to the people you serve. All I see, if this write up is actually what is obtainable at the moment is just unnecessary flaunting of ego and pride with no sense of humility which is very much required if you choose to serve. If you make a decision and the people you say you serve don't accept it, it's your duty to enlighten them on the decision and why it was made. Stepping down cos they didn't accept your decision and are demanding for an explanation is a show of contempt to the service you render and by extension to the recipients of such service.

I just hope it's not true that the moderators have stepped down seeing as they haven't actually come up to say so and their names are still appearing as moderators. But if they have actually done so, then it was just a charade all along.

This is one of the consequences of blatantly accusing & labelling people heartless tyrants, when all they're just trying to do is keep this place safe.

Then how much more, a team made of ordinary sellers like you and I who are just trying to help & make sure that though resolutions might not be 100% perfect all the time, it should to a very large extent keep this place. And will continue to be optimized until we near that 100% perfection.

It's funny how the same people who have contributed alot to keep this place safe became evil tyrants, wicked & all sorts of name overnight because of one case we all knew was a little bit complicated.

Most of you here come from extended families or medium sized families. You've seen disputes. You've seen how it normally is. You've seen how different family members can have varying opinions on the same matter. These are people all tied by blood sef.

Yet you login to NL, wear your hypocritical garment and act as if it is forbidden for strangers to have varying degrees of opinions on something as complicated as dispute resolution in the first place.

Instead of tabling your facts with constructive arguments like it should be in a place like this, you resorted to tantrums, name-calling, & painting the image of an evil cabal until you created the story you wanted & sold it. Congratulations!

If I was on that team, I would have washed my hands off it to protect my image too. And now that there's no more a blacklist, I'm guessing everyone has to an extent. Very good.

Good evening everyone, contrary to what ammyluv and co posted here that I deactivated my WhatsApp, well here’s what happened, due to whats been happening to me recently of which I lost my business capital and life savings to a frenemy and because I wanted to pay back everyone that paid for that particular deal, i emptied my account and even borrowed to enable me pay each and everyone to an extent they won’t feel I’ve scammed them

Recently things haven’t been going has I planned, the phone I was managing I had to sell it to someone on a cheap to enable me eat and do some other things, that was why I couldn’t be reached last night, the person that bought the phone didn’t want me to factory reset the phone because he doesn’t want to start downloading apps all over again, I had to sign out on everything on that phone and there was no way I could sign out of WhatsApp without deactivating the WhatsApp number unless I want to change number and the buyer wasn’t with the SIM card he uses for WhatsApp so I had no choice than to deactivate my WhatsApp, early this morning immediately I came back from church I had to reactivate my WhatsApp on a tablet I’ve abandoned at home for a long time then I saw some messages from few people asking me what’s going on and all, immediately I opened nairaland and I saw my moniker everywhere.

Some of you might not know the story from scratch but what happened has happened and I’ve been able to sort everyone one out, I’ve paid close to 2 million naira to ppl who paid for those deals that went south and am only owing not more than 100k plus to balance up my debt

Last two weeks, when I was able to get additional money, i messaged each persons to resend their account number so I could disburse the money to each of them, this I did without them asking, but for my own peace of mind

I’ve reached out to them to give me a little more time to enable me balance up the remaining money

It makes no sense to me to pay off debt of close to 2million plus and abscond when am only 100k plus left to pay

Please I didn’t deactivate my WhatsApp for no reason other than because I wanted to sell the phone and the buyer didn’t want me to factory reset phone, I only signed out my iCloud account and gmail then uninstalled the gmail app

The buyer of the phone is on nairaland, I tried searching the number he used in sending me a message on here so I could tag him to this post but the number brought out no result, pls if you’re the one kindly reach out to me as I’ve tried sending you a message on WhatsApp without any response

Please guys, I didn’t scam anyone, it was a deal that went south and I’ve put in effort to make sure everyone gets their money back, some have been paid fully and some I’ve paid more than 90%, kindly give me more time to balance up everyone

Please if you can’t reach me on WhatsApp don’t think I’ve absconded, probably I’ll be selling the tab soon too, it doesn’t cost more than 15k tho, I’ll surely reach out to balance everyone once everything am working on fall into place and everyone will get their balance, all I can ask for is more time, once am able to balance up everyone am leaving the business for good.

Kulkid's issue with picker has nothing to do with the 6 month period. We've had multiple run-ins of buyers running away from deals already picked that had no correlation with this dispute thread. Some might be reading this post right now. They can only be blacklisted by the pickers.

The new rule of 3 vouchers has nothing to do with Kulkid or Chisomk9.

Kulkid cussing out or being arrogant with his rebuttals still has nothing to do with why his name is still up there.

So, instead of all the back and forth. Easy solutions can be proffered:

1) In clear terms, why are Kulkid and Chisomk9 still on the list? We just need the reason succinctly put and not the judgement.


2) What's the hot take on Hotdealz and his misdemeanors?


3) What's the forward approach on ForkDragnet's case?


4) If someone vouches for a blacklist following a successful transaction, what is he liable for if the blacklist has another case? Prosecution? Blacklisted too? Or be responsible for paying the plaintiff? Clear terms as well...

My team and I on the dispute resolution thread have watched with dismay the daily occurrences.

There have been issue of fraud, obtaining by false pretense, deception etc which has made business transactions on the Technology Market go south.
It is no news that some people have been blacklisted as a results of previous transactions that didn’t go down well.

Going forward a person/seller/NLder that is blacklisted will remain so for a period of 6 months and will need 3 persons to vouch for them before such person’s name can be taken off the blacklist.
The vouchers will act as guarantors who will attest to the integrity, character of the blacklisted person/seller/NLder.

Pls NOTE:
- The vouchers are liable if/when the person you are vouching for defaults.
- The vouchers must be known monikers and not random people or new accounts.
- If taken off the blacklist and you somehow got involved in another issue you will get blacklisted for a period of 1 year..

Rule states if a blacklisted party stays clean for 6 months they'll be taken off the list.

It seems the Donaltus issue is the reason he's not off the list yet.

When did that issue happen? so we can calculate & be sure the right verdict has been given in accordance with common sense, logic, & the binding power of the rule everyone, including the accused, swears by... Thanks
