Morning folks..I younger brother recently lost his banking job. Has about 3m save. It's 2.5 sha. But community help, you know.

I would love for him to get a car for Uber or e-hailing generally.

But which kind of car can he get for 2m plus while he will use the balance to get fuel, register on the platform, fix one or two on the car before hitting the road.

Someone suggested KIA RIO 2008. What do you think?
With that budget hm. Eod plus cng. This hustle with fuel now is not worth anymore imo.

Omoo!! Me that was underrating my car because of AC issue is just finding out that my civic is nearly in perfect condition. I didn’t notice any of this issue. In fact, I can’t tell the difference between CNG and Fuel sef.

Maybe my installer did a perfect job. My car climbs hills with relative ease. Only thing I notice is that acceleration is insignificantly reduced. I don’t accelerate hard so I don’t really care.
You have good air intake system. So the car balance.

Please attend to the IACV issue very fast.. since you drive EOD, you know how connected the throttle body and the gear is.

I almost ran mad last year trying to fix banging/slipping and staying in limp mode issue when on CNG at low rpm. I even replaced the gear, thinking it was bad. That didn't solve the problem.

I spent well over 700k trying to get a solution... after extensive research, I figured its Idle related issue.

I told my mechanic to service the IACV, then increase the Rpm speed too 1100 at idle and 1000 on full load <ac and gear>.. case solved.
😅😅😅 Sorry bro, fortunately for me, I'm a research freak, the cng guy was telling me to go buy iridium plug it almost 100k, but me know say no be plug.... Na so mechanic make one guy waste 450k on different plugs for something wey na small problem. I'll get the IACV on Monday if God keeps me alive and well. Mine is a bit more tricky, I can't raise the rpm manual, cus in the morning, everything works well oh, rpm at idle is at 1k...so going to adjust that will be overkill and won't necessarily fix the issue, the rpm issue starts when you've driven for a long while, engine is well hot. Then e go set.

If you are the type that accelerates gradually, allowing the car to gain momentum...then you have nothing to worry about. If you need instant power, switch to fuel..

Theres an obvious lag when going over a hill/bridge from total stop or after braking (gear is back to 1)..e.g Going over Ikoyi-link bridge from Gerrad/Bourdillon; the car will lag from the bridge accent... if you are going through from Admiralty, its seamless because you've already gained speed before crossing the tollgate.

I dont stress my engine, I know when to switch to fuel and back to cng... the process is seamless.

The issue most driver have is that, they dont want to use fuel again for any reason after they've converted to cng. Na their engine they suffer am.
Perfectly said, filled my cylinder with 3k yesterday, be me like feem.

As d professional in the field u haven't honestly given people the demerits or drawbacks of installing d CNG, it's obvious u are just after ur own gains, so I can understand.
All I have said is what I know.
I have several people who have done CNG on Corolla, Kia and Civic, but can't use it because it affects their engine.
Even people that manufacturer alcohol and cigarettes tell their customers d inherent dangers.
If u can't do that full disclosure for intending converters, so they can make a decision knowing all that is involved, I will not take u serious.
Bros, cng doesn't affect any engine... What the conversion does is, it elevates the problems or condition of ur engine components . If ur plugs were weak b4, it exposes.. If ur coil was weak, it exposes.... If ur idle air control valve was weak b4, it exposes.... Cng needs all components of air controlling parts to be in prestine state. No weakness allowed, cus gas has less power than fuel. Cng is NOT the culprit or the cause of their predicament, cng only exposed what was hidden or being managed b4, let's educate ourselves please. I just collected my car yesterday, the IACV(idle air control valve) i was managing b4, now the situation is worse, so i just have to buy another unit. It's not the cng's fault. Cng burns cleaner than fuel, better for ur car and environment, that's only downside (not for me tho) is loss of power, cus once again, gas gives less power compared to fuel and also power loss due to conversion.

But if it goes up to as much as fuel people will just dekit. What's d gain of d investors? Anyway even if so anyone who gets it can make d money back in a month or two max so wen/if it goes up u will count profits and move on. For a seasoned driver iz a good investment.

Honestly cng guys r cashing out. Wen I'm done with my other work I will get it sharply and face driving cause the returns are interesting
😂 I no even get strength for talk, I know what I'm Making by God's grace even with high fuel... With cng, omo God bless me more o... The gains difference per my calculations is a no brainer.

You say 20k to get 50k is good business but you blow empty from Eko hotel to Ajah.

And you said you spent 1.5ltrs for that empty drive, that's roughly N2k with fuel at N1330/Ltr. N2k to earn N5k was exactly within your logic, but e reach your turn suddenly good business turn insult.

Using 20k to justify ROI as if fuel is the only operating cost in this business. What of Time? The wear and tear of the car? Physical stress? And he definitely off AC so Sun for don do am strong thing. Food? Savings?

100% or 150% is not sustainable. At all.
All this story bros, ask anybody anywhere, 20k to return 30k profit in a day, are you taking a piss? With these shitty prices these days, oga o

The problem many of you have is not knowing how to weigh risk against benefit. Imagine saving 20k of fuel daily, that’s 120k weekly saving on a 6 days work. How much is the entire car sef that only engine issue will discourage you.

I am currently installing a 90L right now and by tomorrow, my massive savings on fuel will begin.

With 90L, everyday work guarantees 40 to 50k profit. So I ask again, how much is engine again?? Even better when you know that majority of new installers have no single issue. I don’t care about the worst case scenario if I make minimum of 40k daily.

There’s no emotion in business. Ask yourself, will I risk 1 million naira on a business that guarantees 20k daily? Many people will fly into the business even if it’s way riskier.
No talk to much abeg, leave these ones. Person go buy 35k fuel, he go dey look for him money.. As if he's been cheated. If fuel come back down to 700,then I'll reconsider cng, till then, it's the only way I see to survive this shi

God abeg. Why are you praising a N383/Km dashboard with your 2.5L RAV4 and with fuel at N1330 per litre? Holy. Boss, no naw, that's a foul. I understand, you'd claim your car and body, but try add disclaimers so unsuspecting newbies won't think that's a sustainable standard in these times.

And truly, I get that times are subpar, but 20k fuel to net 50k is nothing to be proud of, cause that 131km you drove definitely was more 6hrs, without factoring the time it took to cherry pick all those rides.
This same N360-N400/km was my minimum when fuel was N839, with my 2.4L muscle, talk less of now that fuel is N1330.

Aswear, I really respect your fuel efficiency if that report is accurate. I really do. But you need to optimize your dash. In as much as you believe Indrive is the way and the truth and the life, it won't trump Bolt during surge, especially priority and comfort. At the very least, you should average N500-700/Km
Lol indrive with surge beats that, commission considered... Bros 20k to get 50k is good business.. Everyday no be Christmas. This is coming from who don use 30k make 190k b4... And it wasn't Christmas. 20 to make 50k is more than 100% gain, please take some financial classes. That's fair return.
