Hello pilots, trust our day went well.
So I'm the lady who came on here last year September 2025 and mentioned that I was looking to buy 2 Nigerian used cars with a budget of 6 million. I got so many advice, yabs etc lol..

I actually got offers for some naija used cars but upon testing them with the help of a professional, turned out they had major issues so I didn't get any of them. I however decided to buy brand new kekes and gave them out on hire purchase, however, here's what I did differently.

Firstly I went to Keke parks,some even very far from where I stay and made enquiries on how hire purchase works from riders. They thought I was a potential rider on the lookout for who'd be willing to give me Keke on hire purchase. This made them relax and they gave me all the info I needed. Cost of current hire purchase value for keke, weekly remittance amount etc.
Next I located the chairman of the park and told them my intention of buying keke and the need for riders in the park, now there was a clause, I'd be involving my lawyer and there'd be an agreement. Most of the chairmen agreed, however the value for the duration of the hire purchase didn't tally with the information I had gotten from riders themselves, the chairman were offering something lower but made it seem like that was the standard. I immediately disengaged those ones. Some asked me what amount I had in mind, and how I want my weekly remittance to be like, I told them , but upon hearing a lawyer will be involved, they started dragging feet and delaying providing riders in their park, I also immediately disengaged.

I got another park whose chairman agreed with my payment terms and also an agreement at a lawyer's.

Note that in the course of looking for parks, approaching park chairman, I had gotten the two kekes from the company and installed trackers right there in the company before even driving it out. I engaged a car tracking company for this service.

So with my kekes ready and having gotten a park chairman who had riders on ground, I dragged all of them to the lawyer's chambers, 7 people in total. park chairman, 2 riders, each rider provided two guarantors each. At the lawyer's, everyone provided their NIN, passport photographs and signed the already prepared agreement documents. Addresses were verified. Lawyer gave warning and orientation on why there should be no stories regarding payment. Default for 2 weeks consecutively, then say goodbye to the keke, even if you have one week payment left, your money otilo. (My lawyer no be charge and bail ooo, very solid man 😁). Handover day was scheduled. On handover day, each rider stood beside the keke and we took pictures.

Long and short, it's been 5 months of bliss (Oct 2025 to March 2026) . Payment is supposed to be 10a.m on the scheduled day of the week as per agreement, but 6a.m, chairman don credit me 😁. I monitor their activities from time to time on my phone via the tracker's app.

I waited this long to see the pattern before coming to give this update. Thank you everyone who gave advice at the time, even the guy who yabbed me and told me to put my money in fixed deposit, I'm grateful. @glithronix @omoapena @eyo and few others I can't remember their names, I'm grateful. (Please pardon my long epistle).

Honestly if you must be a higher earner on indrive u must pick does trips. Dey r not ridiculous as say but it could be more. Eg 30km trip for 10k in 1hr or slightly more. This trip is not worth ac for me but a go to trip. To keep it going. Still making profit and utilizing time cause that's the lot u will see on indrive.

Any other thing comes with extra bargain and long waits

this is the issue with Uber drivers, if u don’t pick ridiculous price and 10 other next driver’s didn’t pick , passenger will be forced to increase the price but u see why it can’t work with Uber driver is that as uno pick next driver will pick it and it becomes a norm, na y some passengers go they tell u to pick 5 passengers and says na driver like u brought us and he no complain

I've started practicing this, sometimes i fit drive empty from eko hotel coastal to ajah, Jst to pick good trip... I'll rather drive empty than take 5k to ajah. But unfortunately, other transport unions get unity pass uber drivers.

This is the only solution... For this to work, we need serious backing and campaign and decamping of drivers to the app...completely log out of those nasty apps, passengers will inevitably follow us.

If u know d story of ehailing in Abuja, Benin, Owerri, Ibadan, PH etc u will not say the business will continue to thrive. If this continues, there will be fewer cars on d road, fewer trips on d app and lesser commission. Ultimately everything will crash due to poor service delivery.

Also just know the gas will go up systematically. Cooking gas was 4k for 12.5kg around 2021, Today it's 15k. So if u are banking on CNG remaining low u aren't being realistic. The more people that use it, d more demand, d high the price will go.
It will still be cheaper than fuel overall but that advantage will not be wide again.

Lol i wish so, but unfortunately it won't work like that cus it's an endless loop.... People leave, few driver = surge(better price)... Those who left start hearing snd seeing prices are better, they all come back, we're back to square 1.

So after fuel and commission u are probably left with 20k. Like u said its d best for u.
U don't control jack, they give u d options to choose from. Bolt Comfort is better than Indrive and when there is surge, u can't even compare.

Talk from now till tomorrow, indrive wins, but it rewards patience. Whatever you feel bolt comfort gives, bolt takes most. I can make 60k a day after fuel if i choose to, my back no go gree me.... Now if you could do that on bolt, after bolt commission, you'll almost be at half of that bro. If both of us earned 100k on both platforms, we're far for equal... I need to earn 70 or 65 b4 we compare.

Yes some actually dekit. I'm a technician at CGC liquified station, we actually get a handful of bus drivers who wants to dekit

1. Because the bus isn't theirs and the owner might want their bus back
2. The need money to do one or two
3. They actually do not need it as their engine is between 1.0-1.4L (Korope)
4. Availability of CNG refill station on their preferred routes.

So yes we dekit them and reinstall. Its a win win for all parties.

The truth is CNG is an added advantage not the standard. The Standard is still 4 plug petrol vehicles of not more than 2.4litre engines.
You bought a car and still invested 500k to 1m for CNG installation on the car. Therefore, u have to enjoy the benefit of that investment installation not struggling to make ends meet ontop ur upgrade/extra expenses again.

Secondly, not all vehicles can carry the CNG. So if d ehailing companies want to make CNG the standard let them say so, so that we all know in other to do this business we have to install CNG so d car can pass inspection.
It will be unfair to fix prices based on CNG or refuse to increase the prices because it's fuel that is going up and not gas.

Indeed, when i saw that indrive advert, i thought the werey people wan help us do am in a way of pay as you go. 🤦‍♂️

It's a travesty for App company commission or fuel to be higher than drivers take home.
For all the risk and attendant depreciation on the job that driver has to deal with.
I can now relate with Drivers outside Lagos when they don't one AC or outright negotiate additional pay.

I like it. Protests don’t seem to solve anything. There is hardly any unity (and I can’t blame us partners). Some of us need to feed, some of us need to remit, some of us are the breadwinners for not just immediate but also extended families. It would be hard to down tools and not work, especially as the nature of what we do is just about as hand to mouth as it gets. We also need to try something different from the idea of doing the same protests every eke market day. We are all mostly educated people here even if we no all go school like me wey finish for primary school, let’s do this the proper way and not like the stereotypical driver.

How many people are on this threat to even begin with..? I can't count how many whatsapp groups drivers don create, omo make God bless me with cng kit abeg

All u people shouting Indrive is d best, indrive is d best...what is ur daily target?
If ur daily profit target is from 50k above , u will not say Indrive is d best

The best for everyone will be different, baseline is, may we all eat 🤲

This doesn’t make uber better than indrive. Some of us here go on this short trips for 1k minimum per km.

I can’t start my car for a 3k trip if it’s not above 1k per KM. If passenger can’t enter keke and prefers comfort, then they should be willing to pay for it.

Only indrive can give you abnormal profit on short trips. I have carried one woman for 1.2km for 3k. And I even accepted because she was 300m away.

Exactly bro, sometimes 1200 per km sef on Sundays. I don't take trips below 4k,e hard gan...unless distance is below 2km

Just met a guy using it and he even converted to cng. So his enjoying ooo. Said his had no issues with cng. 1 year plus using it

Guy isn't even concerned about fuel. Minus cng sef 1.5L is perfect for d job. His also lucky his calculation for d car is 9m under d old order so he will soon finish paying.

So while some are complaining some are smiling and happy with d job. The right tools is needed

Bro Do you use Uber constantly? On sunday(yesterday) i calculated my trips and na total N750/km plus my quest money for the 10 trips i did.

During the week i dey calcu N550/km

I think what Uber does is give you trips like you are working for a company picking their customers to destination then your Total NGN per Km is average between those trips. Like i have said in my prev post. Some trips you will feel disgusted by the price then the next trip will compensate you and u sef go shock . Reason i average my daily income, i make sure i complete 10 trips daily (or complete the lowest quest)

Dedicate 2-3days to test it and give feedback. I dont take long pickup trips sha.

Now pls show me how much uber collects, cus i do the same on indrive, commission is lower by half... Also, most times i even charge more, either for a detour or waiting but I'm sure i even exceed 600/km total in a week, as shown in the image. Problem i have with uber and bolt is the freaking commission bro.

The day a car burnt at Apongbon bridge last week, unfortunately a uber car also broke down on that bridge, i picked the riders request to rebook a ride going to lekki when the driver was fixing his car because i was in Surulere. As i approach the scene Police don dey dey give me voice and trying to harass me say why i stop beside road, Me wey don greet LASTMA officials for back telling dem my purpose at the scene. See why its nt encouraging to help in Naija. Meanwhile the lady has been stranded since or people might be rejecting pickup.

First time of doing over 500/km here in Abuja.
Yesterday evening.
I waited about 1 hr before I saw the first trip and waited another 1 hr before the second.
With 4k fuel , fuel still remain inside tank.

I avoided long trips and focused on shorts one that can be profitable

As in, I noticed a lot of inaccurate and wrong locations on indrive lately.

Rider was in arepo, Lagos Ibadan expressway and indrive sent location as Abule Egba

With time and experience, you'll learn to decipher between the bullshit. 🙂
