The Federal government have always given national honours to "deserving" Nigerians.If the list is flipped through each each year it will be noted that over 80% of those on the list are friends of the government of the day,contractors,politicians and family members.A few on the list can be said to have truly impacted on their communities,nation and across the globe.The federal government should widen their dragnet and search out true heroes and heroines who have made their mark and positively impacted on their societies.
There are many individuals around who have done a lot to benefit humanity at local,state,national and global levels.We have a lot of professionals in the diaspora who are truly making the nation proud from medicine,education,sciences,arts,engineering.We have people in cultural,economic,political,judicial and religious circles who are deserving of such awards because of the good roles they play in the society.
We have always failed each year to recognize and reward true heroes like the composer of the national anthem Pa Odiase who died recently,Pa Taiwo Akinkumi among others across the social strata.I think the federal government should show more sincerity,commitment and diligence in their selection process.The recipients should truly be people of proven integrity and impeccable character.The next national merit awards should be devoid of sentiments and should be truly transparent.

EXCERPTS OF AN ADDRESS DELIVERED AT THE MEETING OF THE ORGANIZATION OF AFRICAN INSTITUTED CHURCHES,OYO STATE BRANCH BY HIS EMINENCE,THE ANOINTED PROPHET (DR) E.A.A.ADEONIGBAGBE (AP) ON WEDNESDAY,JUNE 19TH,2013 AT CELICA CHURCH OF CHRIST,INTERNATIONAL HEADQUARTERS,KM 7,NEW IFE ROAD,IBADAN.

In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, I welcome the chairman of Organization of African Instituted Churches, Oyo State branch, all officials of Organization of African Instituted Churches, Oyo State branch, the hierarchy of Celica Church of Christ, all Celicans, distinguished dignitaries, ladies and gentlemen. I am happy in the Lord that he has given us all the grace to be present today in good health and sound mind. I recall that Celica Church of Christ hosted this same meeting two years ago. I admonished the body then to be united in love and to fulfill the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ which is to preach love, salvation, peace and to reconcile lost souls to the Lord.
The theme of my message today is “the missing spiritual link”. We, the servants of God, are the light of the world Matt 5 vs. 14.The Lord has commissioned us as a light and guide for the flock of Christ, the political leaders, the people and the nation generally. As religious leaders we must not shy away from the responsibility given to us by God. We have been appointed as watchmen over the nation. We must always stand firm and say the truth boldly to the leaders of the nation. This topic centres on the state of the nation. The nation is going through many crisis and there has been so much bloodshed in the land. What are we men of God doing about it? What is Christendom doing about it? Are we just folding our arms or are we speaking out boldly the message of the Lord to the political leadership?
The Lord has been telling me since 2005 these words, Nigeria to be or not to be. The Lord said Nigeria’s ship is afloat? Who will steer it to safety? We have been praying as a church for the nation to prevent a breakup.The question is why Nigeria has been in crisis.The answer is the missing spiritual link.In 1992, Celica Church of Christ sent a framework, descended by God, to the government of President Ibrahim Babangida but it was not adhered to. Part of the recommendations in the framework is the formation of a Spiritual Council to guide the government in its policies, programmes and actions.
Nigeria has been polluted with the blood of the innocent shed by people aspiring for positions of leadership at all cost. What is the spiritual dimension to these problems? We must go back to our source which is God Almighty.Nigeria as a nation needs to commune with God to seek his forgiveness over the innocent blood being shed daily, the injustice and wickedness perpetrated by the high and mighty and thereafter seek divine guidance in piloting our affairs. In the bible Israel as a nation faced many crisis, economic, political and social and they never got a solution until they turned to God. Citing some examples in Exodus In the desert there was no food to eat and no water to drink for millions of Israelites. Moses the leader turned to God when the people complained bitterly and God provided manna, meat and water for the nation. In the books of 1st and 2nd Samuel when there was political leadership vacuum with the disobedience and subsequent death of Saul, it was filled with the guidance of the Lord in person of David. These examples cited different crisis faced by the Israel and how intervention by God through his prophets solved the crisis.
Religious leaders must speak out against the social injustice, social inequality, nepotism, unequal distribution of societal wealth,neglect of the masses,corrupt political leadership and other ills which disturbs the society.Our Lord Jesus Christ was bold in speaking out against the Pharisees and Sadducees whenever they refused to obey the directives of the Lord. Matt 15 vs. 3”Jesus replied”And why do you break the command of God for the sake of your tradition? Thus you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition” Nigerian leaders can be likened to these set of people too they often refuse to acknowledge the words of God sent to them by men of God.They hold fast to the advice of their supporters and disobey the directives of God. We must always be like Samuel, Peter and Paul whom the spoils of office did not buy. We must not be like Gehaz and Judas Iscariot whom the spoils of office destroyed.
In 2011 the Lord told me that all the crisis, natural disasters, violence, riots and occurrences that has been happening in increasing frequency is because there is a spiritual pollution in the atmosphere. The Lord said the satanic forces have fallen on the earth because their occult power has been broken. The cycle of their occult power is 1000 years and the 1000 years has ended, their terrestrial powers have been broken and it is disturbing the earth. The Lord said mysterious things will start happening, mysteries you can’t explain.The Lord said henceforth everyone must move nearer to the Lord, be fervent in prayers and supplications for God’s protection, mercy and blessings.
I want to make a clarion call to all religious leaders particularly in Organization Of African Instituted Churches at the state and national levels that we must come together to pray and intercede for Nigeria. I also want to implore Organization of African Instituted Churches as a bloc in Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) to speak to the state and national leaders of Christian Association of Nigeria to set aside 7 days for prayers of intercession for the nation. I also believe we should reach out to our brother clerics in Islam to organize a joint prayer session on Nigeria. Serious prayers and intercessions by men of God both Islamic and Christian can minimize the occurrences in Nigeria. I believe the Lord will listen to the plea of his anointed servants. My fellow spiritual colleagues, this is the mandate given to us by our Lord Jesus Christ. We must speak out without fear or favour whatever the Lord commands us. Let us all remember that we will surely give an account of our stewardship to God Almighty. May God bless you all (Amen).

He however thanked God that songs and hymns inspired by the Holy Spirit can still be found in some churches such as Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Christ Apostolic Church, Celestial Church of Christ, Celica Church of Christ, ECWA etc. He noted there must be a marked difference between a chorister and musicians of the world.

There is no originality in most gospel songs nowadays unlike that of old generals like Ayewa,Bola Are,Funmi Araigbaye,Dupe Solana,Pa Akinpelu,Good women choir, Sola Rotimi, Akin Adebayo, Bayo Adegboyega etc..He said it is saddening that there are not many gospel artiste who can take over from that generation therefore people go back to the old songs for inspiration,hope,joy,comfort in God etc. Most of the current gospel song lacks spirituality which would really touch your heart and reconcile people with God. He talked about old hymns from the orthodox churches.

Anointed Prophet Adeonigbagbe also talked about the current trends among the gospel artistes .He said in the past the world copied music from the church but nowadays the church is copying music from the world. Many gospel artistes copy lyrics from fuji, juju, hi-life, makossa, R n B etc and just change it to gospel music. They lack the creativity to compose their own songs like past gospel musicians.

The Celican choir held a week long programme of events which included three nights of revival from Wednesday June 5th-Friday, June 7th, 2013 tagged Praises, Prayers and Prophecy. Men of God and gospel artistes from different denominations ministered at the powerful event. On Sunday the grand finale took place where the founder, His Eminence, Anointed Prophet Emmanuel Adetunji Adeonigbagbe gave the sermon titled Pride (Igberaga).He admonished the choristers to always use the gifts for God. He said the Lord just bestowed the gift of singing or playing the instrument on them not because they were better than others. It is because the Lord wanted them to use the gifts in worshiping him, praising him, giving people hope and joy and reconciling people back to God through their songs. You must never allow pride to enter your hearts and he quoted from the book of proverbs chapters 11 vs. 2, 8 vs. 13, 16 vs. 18, Psalm 5 vs. 5 and 1st Samuel 17 vs. 4-49.He cited the example of Goliath and David using them to illustrate Pride and humility. Goliath was a champion, skilled fighter and a giant. He was full of pride in himself but he was humbled and disgraced by David.

The Lord has said he will send his wrath on Nigeria’s spiritual and religious leaders if they let the nation continue in its state of ungodliness. You will be punished if the nation falls into ruins. The spiritual and religious leaders are responsible for the woes of the country says the Lord Almighty because they have failed in their primary duty. They have left their primary duty of being a shepherd and guide to the leaders of Nigeria instead they wine and dine with them. They have become errand men instead of being watchmen and the conscience of the society.
The Lord says there are 3 classes of people in the society, the spiritually called (spiritual and religious leaders), the society leaders (political, traditional, judicial, economic, family etc) and the populace .The Lord said the society leaders and the populace were to rally round and provide for the needs of the spiritually called. Numbers 18 vs. 20 “You will have no inheritance in their land nor will you have any share among them; I am your share and inheritance says the Lord”. You were wholly set apart for the Lord to be watchmen of the nation. The spiritually called were to guide and straighten the paths of the other sub groups E.g from the bible, Samuel and Saul/Isrealites, Joseph and Pharaoh, Ezra and the Israelites exiles, Micaiah/Elijah and Ahab, Nathan and David,Elisha and the Isrealites,The disciples and early Christians e.t.c.
However the Lord said the spiritual and religious leaders instead of being a light for the two sub groups have failed in their duty .They are walking in darkness. They have even initiated the society leaders and populace into darkness. Spiritual and religious leaders are now found in cult groups. How will they command respect when they are in the same occult groups with society leaders? What message will they be preaching? Proverbially it is like a blind guide leading a blind man; they will both fall into a deep pit. Jer 23 vs. 11”The Lord says the prophets and priests are godless: I have caught them doing evil in the temple itself says the Lord”.
To spiritual and religious leaders who have polluted their calls hear the message from the Lord, Micah 3 vs. 5-7”The Lord’s people are deceived by prophets who promise peace to those who pay them but threaten war for those who don’t; To these prophets the Lord says, your day is almost over; the sun is going down on you: Because you mislead my people, you will have no more prophetic visions and you will not be able to predict anything. Those who predict the future will be disgraced by their failure. They will all be humiliated because God does not answer them”. You should be beacons of hope and faith for the people instead of illuminating light darkness surrounds you.
Judgment is coming on spiritual and religious leaders who are in darkness says the Lord Almighty. The sword of the Lord has been raised up to cut down the evil doers who pollute the land. Jer 23 vs. 12 “The paths they follow will be slippery and dark; I will make them stumble and fall; I am going to bring disaster on them: the time of their punishment is coming.”The land is polluted with the blood of the innocent, the land cries out for justice and atonement for the land can only be made with the blood of those who shed it, “Numbers 35 vs. 31-34.”
The Lord says he has sent out his word to spiritual and religious leaders to speak out against the ills of the society. To spiritual and religious leaders here is the message from the Lord; Amos 5 vs. 14”Make it your aim to do what is right not what is evil, so that you may live. Then the Lord God Almighty really will be with you, as you claim he is; Hate what is evil, love what is right and see that justice prevails in the courts (nation).
Failure to do that means the blood of all the innocent killed, maltreated and oppressed with be on the spiritual and religious leaders’ heads. They can only save themselves by speaking out against the ills of the society.
This is the mandate which I, the Lord have given you, straighten the crooked path, let the people know the will of God and teach them to follow the Lord. The people came to meet the prophet Jeremiah saying to him ”Pray that the Lord our God will show us the way we should go and what we should do” Jer 42 vs. 3.
Ezekiel 2 vs. 7”You will tell them whatever I tell you to say, whether they listen or not”. That is the divine mandate and duty from the Lord which you have abandoned. The Lord has spoken, Amos 3 vs. 8”when a lion roars, who can avoid being afraid? When the sovereign Lord speaks, who can avoid proclaiming his message?
There is still room for repentance for spiritual and religious leaders says the Lord, Joel 2 vs. 13”Let your broken heart show your sorrow; tearing your clothes is not enough: come back to the Lord your God.”

1) There will be notable deaths in the country because the land has been polluted with the blood of the innocent and this is the year of God’s judgment on such individuals. Atonement for the land (Nigeria) can only be made by the blood of those who shed it.
(2) This is a year of spiritual revolution and divine re-arrangement of individuals.Their power, positions and wealth shall become a thing of the past says the Lord.
(3) Nigeria to be or not to be, watch the events that will unfold.There will be crisis throughout the year. If Nigeria divides only the Yoruba nation will stand.
(4) Society People need blood so everyone should be careful. Heed these warnings and the Lord will protect his elect.They will use occult means
• (i) beware of parties- This is an avenue they intend to use

To the oppressed people of Nigeria this is the message from the Lord from the book of Malachi 3 vs. 14-18” you have said it is futile to serve God.

What did we gain in carrying out his requirements; but now we call the arrogant blessed, certainly evildoers prosper and even those who challenge God escape.
Then those whose feared the Lord talked with each other and the Lord listened and heard. A scroll of remembrance was written in his presence concerning those who feared the Lord and honoured his name. They will be mine says the Lord Almighty in the day when I make up my treasured possession. And you will again see the distinction between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not”.
Hear this message those who serve the Lord from the Malachi 4 vs 1-3”surely the day is coming; it will burn like a furnace. All the arrogant and every evildoer will stubble and that day that is coming will set them on fire says the Lord Almighty; not a root or branch will be left to them; but for you who revere my name the sun of righteousness will rise with healing on its wings and you will leap out like calves released from the stall; then you will trample down the wicked; they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day when I do these things says the Lord Almighty”.
The message has been given to see if you will repent and fulfill the oaths you swore before the people and the Lord. There is still time for sincere reformation.

People talk about white garment churches practicing the old testament. I ask does it not contain the word of God. Can it be separated from the bible? It is wrong because the bible will not be complete without the whole 66 books.What people do not know is that the new testament is hidden in the old testament while the old testament is revealed in the new testament.

Most people show a lot of contempt for the white garment churches.Why? Some say they do not worship the true God of the universe,some say their doctrines are not biblical while some outrightly say they are sinners.I laugh when i listen or read such comments.I want people to know that white garments tenets and doctrines are divinely laid down by the Lord,Matt 6 vs 17 "Don't think that i have come to destroy the law of Moses or the the teachings of the prophets;i have not come to destroy their teachings;i came to give full meaning to them.The Holy spirit directs the affairs in all we do;Matt 7 vs 21 "The only people that will enter the kingdom of heaven are those people that do the things that my father in heaven wants". If some people judge us as sinners i quite agree with them that means our Lord Jesus Christ came because of us,Luke 5 vs 32" i came not to call the the righteous but the sinners to repentance". You must understand that even among the Lord’s disciples there was a Judas. There are some Judases among the fold who do not strictly follow the divinely laid down tenets,doctrines and directives of the Holy Spirit and it cuts across Christendom from orthodox, pentecostal, gospel to spiritual churches.I therefore want everyone to know that our Lord Jesus Christ is the foundation and shepherd of white garment churches.

The Lord has made several predictions through him most of which came to pass while several other decisions were averted through relentless prayers by men of God.Among the predictions are

1. There will be no end to the crisis in the world as one crisis is being ended another will erupt, as one deadly group is vanquished another deadlier one will take its place. The 1000 years cycle of the occult has been broken and it is disturbing the world leading to uncontrollable crisis
2. There will be incidents/occurrences in India, Asian countries and Malawi both natural and train disasters unless prayers are offered to avert them.

Nigeria to be or not to be,2012 is a defining year. If the Nigerian nation breaks up, only the Yoruba nation will stand the other parts will still break up. Only serious prayers and intercessions by men of God both Islamic and Christian will prevent this occurrence.
All the crisis, natural disasters, violence, riots that has been happening all over the world from year 2011,the worst is still yet to come; this is just a tip of the iceberg.Be very prayerful henceforth; make the Lord your shepherd and protector.2012 is a year where everyone must move nearer to the Lord, you must be fervent in prayers and supplications for God’s protection, mercy and blessings. The heavens have fallen down on earth that is why you are witnessing all this calamities. The satanic forces have fallen on the earth because their power has been broken. The cycle of their occult power is 1000 years and the 1000 years has ended, their terrestrial powers have been broken and it is disturbing the earth.
Mysterious things will start happening, mysteries you can’t explain, people will go up in arms against each other. There will be sicknesses, people will fall sick easily and die within 6 -18 hours. Political, traditional, judicial, economic and religious leaders will be swept away because the terrestrial/astral power they depend on has been broken.

Vast land is just laying fallow and being wasted across the nation. In the agricultural sector there are opportunities in production,processing,storage,packaging,marketing,bye-products etc.
Nigeria also have vast tourism potentials which is untapped and which can generate employment and revenue. Kenya and South Africa generate over a billion dollars yearly from their tourist sites. Nigerian government can also invest in sports, create employment for youths and also generate money from it.There are many talented youths in the country who only needs encouragement, motivation and training to bring honours for the country. Segun Odegbami with his sports secondary school, Clemens Westerhoff with his football academy and Pepsi football academy have recognized the potential in this. Government can go into public-private partnership which is in vogue across the world and develop this sectors.The government should provide enabling environment for this in terms of finance,land,equipment and facilities. It is time our government at all levels to place their priorities right.

Many people have negative opinions and misconceptions about white garment churches. .It is not their fault but as a result of some negative actions by some people within the fold. Spiritual churches are more pronounced because we have a uniform, our garments of glory. let us not stain our garments of glory “with palm oil”.It is up to the youths in the spiritual churches, we must begin a massive re-orientation, reformation and revitalization in our various denominations. Let us imbibe the values of the founding fathers, zeal for the Lord, selfless service, love for humanity ,fairness,tolerance,dedication,obedience to God’s directives, discipline,truthfulness and sincerity, honour and most importantly showing the way of salvation which is our Lord Jesus Christ.

The kingdom of satan causes divisions, fights, disagreement and misunderstanding. That is its work,it is normal therefore that Satan is waging war against Christendom. Christendom should be united against the kingdom of Satan instead we are having differences. Let us not discriminate, our Lord Jesus Christ is the same so no matter which side he shows u. What he only wants is for us to serve him and he wants to draw people to himself that is why he descended different types of churches .If u don’t worship in one, u will worship in another, just serve the Lord Jesus Christ faithfully.
John 10 vs. 1-6 “ There are other sheep which belong to me that are not in this sheepfold, I must bring them too: they will listen to my voice and they will become one flock with one shepherd” ( all churches who serve our Lord Jesus Christ truthfully and faithfully). God himself will expose those who are corrupting the good works of great men of God who are truly called,who have not mixed with the occult or polluted their calls.The time is at hand and there will be great surprise across Christendom when secrets are exposed.
