Omoawoke: Toto is life
Make money so you can afford as many Totos as you can in this life…
Toto industry is the most flourishing industry because the most successful and wealthiest men know the value and they pay for it….
Just make money and be successful and as many Totos as possible would be added unto you Hmm That's why at the risk of sounding condescending, I will maintain that women are trophy for men. Like oh man, now that you've made it, you're entitled to one or more women. This may be unsettling for some people. But at the end of the day, it is what it is. |

EmperorCaesar: His foolish prediction isnt on same level as that of Nikola Tesla
Clarke was a fictional writer who felt some vacuum are still not occupied on our planet and badly wanted Science to fill it up for him
Its like dreaming to download food via the internet in 2025 just cause you're hungry and lazy to go get food. Of course, it will happen someday
Tesla's is different, he had a plan, was working on it, but knew theres limited time and tech to get it done, then trusting on latter scientist to build on his info to get the things done
Clarke is like Martin Luther, they are just wishers Enough for you to call his predictions foolish. You people online sef ehn? You just said yourself that of course it will happen someday. Then how is it foolish? |

CodeTemplarr: Why not?
Authur C Clarke predicted the internet and AI as far back as the 60s. Arthur C. Clarke and Isaac Asimov were something else. They predicted the future of tech with so much precision. |

Omotaday: Interesting, this great thread seems to be fading.
For me, it all started here, and now I’m a BI developer working outside Nigeria. Thanks to Ejiod and other early contributors.
I wil say one thing, Data analytics or Business Intelligence is not just about dashboards. In the Nigeria tech space, I have noticed that people seem to overlook data modelling (Fact & dimensions, star schema, snowflake) which is part of the most important knowlege when working with data and it's likely to come out during interviews. As a data analyst, your data won't always come from a single table, you could have 10 tables with million of rows just for a report, how do you connect them? To that effect, I will encourage new comers to glance through this topic as they navigate their journey in the field.
-------------------------
Having said that, would it be possible to form a small group of BI Developers, Data Analysts/scientists and Data Engineers who are currently working in the field?
It could be helpful to have like-minded individuals to discuss work-related topics, career journeys, and new opportunities with.
I will be mentioning a few people below who have contributed to this thread in one way or another and who seem to be in the field. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts:
CC: Ejiod, Cochtrane, AnalysisGuru, Hamzatfresh, Mcemmy0z, Abcruz, Heyf, Toppytek, Kaycee54321, DHaran, Hinokami, VicUkegbu, T4kbaba, Kunleiky, Nazgul Great contribution. Congratulations on your data role. Yeah data modeling is too important to ignore in BI. It is central to any data analytics discussion. In fact a BI guru says: You don't build a report, you build a model. I do emphasise to my mentees that creating relationships between fact and dimension tables is something they can't do without if they want to grow in this field. That said, I believe having an accessible community of like minds will be great, especially as we restrategize our data career in the new year, and also help data newbies grow. Let's keep growing together |

So, EU countries with diff criterium and stats are automatically not functioning countries
Korea is among the top5 here, i guess that is also not a functioning country
Sometimes, its better to just read, scroll and move past the thread than making fallacious comments like this
Most of us are too smart to see every foreign news as a medium to downtalk our own country, especially on unrelated topics I echo his sentiment: The advantage of a functioning country. Don't sweat it bro. Without prejudice to any other country, that is a functioning country. He said it in absolute na, why are you relating it to a country like Nigeria. Oh you know your country is not a functioning one ba. Run along |
