Daniel Usman, the 19-yar-old student of Kogi State University, who was killed by political thugs while trying to vote in Anyigba, Kogi state on Saturday February 23rd, has been laid to rest.

Daniel was killed by a stray bullet in a cross fire between political thugs in the state during the elections.

Fifteen hours before his life was cut short, Daniel had taken to his Facebook to preach against election violence. Sadly, he died when he was caught up in one.

His funeral was attended by his family members and close friends.

A young businessman’s £125,000 gold Lamborghini exploded just an hour after picking it up from the garage. Lak Sira, 22, said he was nearly killed after his “pride and joy” went up in smoke as he drove along the M6 with his girlfriend.

A little girl has been left seriously injured after being brutalized by her guardian yesterday in Imo state.

According to Raymond Anunobi, the heartless woman used a cutlass/knife on the housemaid because she used her gel in Ubomiri, Mbaitoli local government area of the state.

The young girl’s head was seriously broken after the brutal punishment. Neighbors and sympathizers rushed her to nurse who stitched her up as she wept profusely.

It was learnt that the pregnant guardian has been arrested over the brutal act on the girl.

A secondary school student identified as, Emmanuel Chukwuebuka Nnanna, was stoned to death by his classmate in Anambra state.

The JSS 1 student of the Dennis Memorial Grammar School Onitsha died after one of his classmates reportedly threw a stone at him yesterday.

This was made known on Facebook by, Mizta Nnamdi. Read what he wrote below;
HE DIED BECAUSE OF THE STUDENTS ENVY AND THE TEACHER’S CARELESSNESS.

THIS is Emmanuel Chukwuebuka Nnanna , a Jss 1 student at Dennis Memorial Grammar School Onitsha, A native of Oburo Ogwa in mbaitoli LGA, Imo state. He died on Tuesday 12th February 2019 by a large stone thrown to crush his head from the school dormitory window by his fellow envious student.

This happened after school hours, the victim was said to finished eating in the school cafeteria, fetched water with his gallon kept the water in his corner and came outside to play football.

He met two students playing football, asked if he can join them and the two boys playing the football told him to wait for they are playing turn by turn.

While waiting and watching them a mischievous student carried a large stone they used to hold the dormitory door, targeted the victim from upstairs and hit the large stone on his head.

The victim fell down immediately and become unconscious. The two boys playing the football carried him to the school clinic, there was no equipment to handle his case there so one of the clinic attendance carried him out the school gate and started looking for keke, he got one took him to general hospital Onitsha where no treatment was given to him.

They later took him to iyi enu hospital when he has already bled to death. While all these was going on, they did not contact his father, Kanayo hospital and other private hospitals are very close to DMGS, instead of them to take him there as his case is emergency, they rushed him to general and then far away iyi enu because it’s Anglican hospital.
Just like that an innocent boy that lost his mother when he was only three years, a super intelligent boy with multiple talent died because of his fellow students envy and school management carelessness.

A woman has been stabbed at a polling station in Osun state, following an altercation with another lady. The incident took place at the Lagere area of Ile-Ife in Osun.

The lady whose name could not be verified at the time was stabbed by another voter while on the queue. A fight had ensued over who was and who wasn’t on the said queue.

In the course of the squabble, the victim was stabbed in the face with a bottle. Police in Osun state apprehends a lady who stabbed another woman at a polling unit in Lagere.

Speaking on the incident, AIG Adeleye Oyebade who is in charge of Zone 11 in Osun, said that the lady who stabbed the victim has been arrested.

According to reports, there's a protest at Stadium Roundabout as soldiers who mounted roadblock in the area attempted to stop residents from the southern part of Kaduna from accessing their polling units in the northern part of the state.

At least six persons, including two students of Nneoma Secondary School, Otolo Nnewi, have been reported dead and several others sustained various degrees of injuries in multiple auto accidents that occurred in the early hours of Thursday, February 21, along Akwudo Junction in Nnewi, Anambra State.

Anaedooline correspondent reported that a soakaway truck collided with a truck carrying gallons of palm oil. The small truck was then crashed into another big truck conveying varieties of brands of the Nigerian Breweries beer parked by the roadside along the junction.

The driver of the small truck carrying gallons of red oil, who was identified as Ugochukwu from Ndiakwu Otolo Nnewi, with another woman seated at the passenger side, died instantly. Two other students of Nneoma Secondary School, Nnewi, who were crossing the place on foot, were also crushed.

This is very sad. It was a very sorrowful moment for a family following the brutal killing of a man recently in Benin city, Edo state.

The deceased who owned a car wash, was hacked to death by the rampaging cultists following the ongoing cult war between , popularly called Aiye, and their Eiye rivals in Benin city.

He was killed in front of his place of business as his family members went "mad" while mourning on his lifeless body which laid on the ground.

The mother of the deceased went topless while weeping as others shouted and cried profusely.

His corpse has since been deposited at the Central Hospital morgue in Benin City.

Two ladies have taken to social media to mock 'Yahoo Boys' and ritualists over the growing pant theft menace which has been rocking the country Nigeria for quite some time now.

During an interview last month over the pant theft, a lady identified as Akinpelu Boluwatife, said she is now more careful about where she puts her underwear as news of disappearing undies is now common.

She said that she has already joined the bandwagon of ladies who no longer wear pants as a result of the situation.

A police inspector, Babashola Afolayan, on Monday, explained to a Lagos State High Court in Igbosere that a Danish national, Peter Nielsen, was the principal suspect in the killing of his Nigerian wife, Zainab, and three-year-old daughter, Petra.

It was reported that Nielsen, 53, allegedly murdered Zainab and Petra at the family’s residence at the Ocean Parade, Banana Island, Lagos, on April 5, 2018.

Zainab’s younger sister had reported to the facility manager of the estate that Zainab was being assaulted by Nielsen.

The 13-year-old girl, Gift, who lived with the family, reportedly told the manager, Mr Kunle Kukoyi, that she heard her sister crying around 4am.

The manager was said to have reported to the police at the Ikoyi Division and a police team was mobilised to the residence around 11am and found Zainab and her daughter dead.

At Monday’s proceedings, during cross-examination by Nielsen’s counsel, Olasupo Shasore (SAN), Afolayan told the court that he only investigated the defendant as he was the principal suspect in the murder of the deceased.

He added that the defendant was the only suspect because on July 18, 2017, his deceased wife, Zainab, had come to the Ikoyi Police Station around 2am and made a report against Nielsen about how he allegedly assaulted and beat her up around 1am on the same day.

He said, “On July 18, 2017, the defendant’s wife came around 2am and complained about the defendant that around 1am, he pushed her to the bed and pressed her neck and beat her up; it was a case of assault occasioning harm against the defendant. She further reported that that day was the third time he would be beating her.

“She also added that she suspected that Nielsen was a drug addict, stating that whenever he took drugs, he beat her up; all these made him (Nielsen) to be the principal suspect.”

Earlier, at the conclusion of his evidence, Afolayan told the court that when he went for investigation, he made sure that nobody went in and out of the compound.

The presiding judge, Justice Bolanle Okikiolu-Ighile, adjourned the case till February 20 for the continuation of trial.

The controversial rhumba maestro Koffi Olomide is likely to face seven years in jail over sex assault allegation in France.
The 62-year-old musician is standing trial for allegedly sexually assaulting four former dancers who say they were held against their will at a villa outside Paris". The crimes were allegedly committed in Paris between 2002 and 2006.
"The dancers say they were detained by three men at the villa in Asnieres-sur-Seine, northwest of Paris, while Olomide was touring or recording, and had their passports and phones taken. They say that they were forced to have sex with Olomide, who struck them if they tried to resist, in the villa, in the bathroom of a supermarket, and also while in the Democratic Republic of Congo", according to AFP,
Olomide denies these allegations.
The popular singer is no stranger to controversy as he was declared persona non-grata in 2016 and deported after he kicked one of his female dancers at Jomo Kenyatta Airport in Kenya.
He was slapped with similar charges by authorities in DR Congo in 2016 for kicking one of his dancers.
Koffi Olomide is also the subject of a judicial process in Zambia, where he was previously barred from entering after he slapped a Rwandan photojournalist in Lusaka in 2012.

In what will come across as a really shocking development, a maid has been caught red-handed forcing a 5-year-old boy to handle her private parts in a recent video circulating online.
A Zimbabwean maid who was employed by a Hwange family has appeared in court yesterday on allegations of forcing her employer’s five-year-old daughter to caress her privates for s*xual pleasure.
According to Newsday, this was heard when Petronela Mathabisa Ncube (20) of DRC, Empumalanga, appeared before Hwange magistrate, Rosemary Dube, charged with indecent assault.
Prosecutor Portia Munsaka told the court that sometime between June and August this year, Ncube would invite the minor to her bedroom and order her to UnCloth her and to tickle her genitals until she was s*xually satisfied.
Ncube allegedly threatened to assault the girl if she did not comply or reported the matter to her parents.
The matter came to light when the minor’s mother allegedly caught them in the act, and filed a police report.
Ncube has denied the charge and was remanded in custody to today for trial.
