Zakat-ul-Fitr , is a Sadaqah(charity) which is given by Muslims to the poor, towards the end of the month of Ramadhan. Zakat-ul-Fitr is obligatory on every Muslim. Be it a female, or a male, be it a free Muslim or a slave, be it a young Muslim or an old one; every Muslim has to pay Zakat-ul-Fitr. “Ibn Abbas (RA) narrated: Allaah’s Messenger (Peace be upon Him) obligated Zakat-ul- Fitr for the one who fasts as a means of purifying him from vain talk and immoral deeds, and as a means of feeding the poor. Whoever gives it before the ( Eid ) prayer will have it counted as an accepted Sadaqah , and whoever gives it after the prayer will have it counted as a charity among charities.” (Hadith No. 1609, Book of Zakat, Sunan Abu Dawud, Vol. 2). The Gombe State chapter of the All Progressives Congress on Monday expelled the senator representing Gombe-Central senatorial district, Danjuma Goje, from the party. State chairman of the party, Magaji Doho, disclosed this at the party’s secretariat in Gombe. He said the former Gombe governor was expelled with effect from July 1, 2015 for his engagement in anti-party activities. Doho said, “Having gone through the rigours of campaigns and the 2015 general elections, some of our members, led by Senator Danjuma Goje, have decided to have parallel state executives of the party. “Secondly, one of our senators representing Gombe-South, Danjuma Goje, is grossly involved in anti-party activities and we have, therefore, decided to expel him from the party from the first day of July, 2015, to instill discipline in our great party.” The APC chairman said the state executive council had written a comprehensive report to the national secretariat of the party, indicting Goje. “We have expelled Goje from the APC because of his activities, disloyalty and going contrary to the constitution of the party,” the party chairman said. He said that some members of the state executive council of the party that decided to support Goje by operating a parallel executive council were relieved of their positions but could remain as members of the party. He said the party could not fold its arms and allow bad eggs among its members and supporters to destroy the good reputation the party had built over the years. Doho emphasised that whoever was out to destroy the party in the state and Nigeria at large would be put to shame because the APC would succeed at all levels source: www.punchng.com/news/apc-expels-ex-gov-goje/ |

Bismilai Rahmon Raheem Many Muslimahs are taking this trend and forgetting that it is wrong for them to wear the Hijab in the camel hump style. The bigger you do the hump the more you look like an alien! Muslimahs that wear the camel hump style are cursed. The Prophet salla Allahu alayhi wasallam also stated, “There will be in the last of my Ummah, scantily dressed women, the hair on the top of their heads like a camel’s hump. Curse them, for verily they are cursed.” [At-Tabarani and Sahih Muslim] Abû Hurayrah relates that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “There are two categories among the inhabitants of Hell whom I have not encountered. The first are people who carry whips like the tails of cows and beat the people with them. The second are women, clothed yet naked, drawn to licentiousness and enticing others to it, their heads like the swaying humps of camels – they will neither enter Paradise nor even smell its fragrance, though its fragrance can be found to a great distance.” [Sahîh Muslim (2127)]Abû Hurayrah relates that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: “There are two categories among the inhabitants of Hell whom I have not encountered. Have said it in different fora that minister has nothing to do with good and effective governance....I see Ministers has mere political jobbers and waste of space. The main purpose of appointing them is to reward them for the job well done during electioneering campaigns. All what minister does is to approve and award mouthwatering contracts to their cronies with the aim of siphoning the contract fund and conractors end up in doing virtually nothing.DG's,Perm sec's and other civil servants in the ministries 'r the one doin real work in ministries.....Minister will come and go! |

Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Yes there is nothing wrong for a married couple to have sexual intercourse after breaking their fast but please remember to make the dua recommended by the prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. Ibn 'Abbas (RA) reported: "The Prophet (Peace and Blessing upon Him) said, 'If you say the following invocation during sexual intercourse, and a baby is conceived, Satan would never harm that baby." Allahu Akbar. Say: Bismillah. Allahumma jannibna ash-shaytan wa jannibi ash-shytan ma razaqtana. Meaning O Allah! Keep us away from Satan, and keep Satan away from any blessing you bestow on us. Al-Bukhari (Fath Al-Bari: 1/291) and Muslim. To learn how to recite it well please visit this link. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=suc6iG3JqSU One Jinn told a Ruqya Expert, after his conversion to Islam and repentance, that he used to take part in a man's sexual intercourse with his wife, because that man did not say the above invocation. SubhaanAllah. Glory be to Allah! We have so many valuable treasures but we do not appreciate their value due to the fact that we refuse to learn our deen. May Allah have mercy on us all and protect us from any satanic influences. Aameen. |
Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. It should be stressed that having a premarital relationship is definitely prohibited whether during Ramadan or after it. So, I will advice you dear sisters and brothers to fear Allah, come back to Allah, make use of this blessed month to change your lifestyle for better in a way that pleases Allah, and to have your sins forgiven. To use haraam source support to fast is a waste of time. I wouldn't say don't fast but as the prophet said, some will fast but their rewards will be hunger that they went through bcs they gained nothing why? Bcs they fasted using haraam income, commited major sins like fornication in the night of Ramadan etc, some even ask if they can commit zina at night after fasting subhaanAllah! the answer is definitely an emphatic no, regardless of whether one is fasting or after breaking the fast. Fornication is a most grievous sin in Islam; the sin is even graver in the month of Ramadan. Ramadan is the month given to us to break free of all our sins and bad habits. Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "When Ramadan arrives, the doors of Heaven are wide open and the doors of Hell are shut down, and the devils are chained, and an announcer will say, 'O doer of good, come forward! O doer of bad, restrain yourself!'" So you are best advised to use this blessed month as a time to repent and change. This is a golden opportunity, and it could be the only one you have, for who knows whether Allah will give us another chance; we never know whether we will live to see another Ramadan. We see all around us people are being called back to Allah. Death knows neither age nor status. Therefore, let us heed the warning of Allah's Messenger, "Woe to those who witnessed Ramadan and yet failed to get their sins pardoned (by failing to utilize the month properly)." This is a general advice for brothers and sisters in any haraam relationships. Please let's fear Allah and be aware that death can knock on any of us today so are you prepared? Show him or her the RED CARD NOW, I mean today. Don't give Satan any more time to be your driver in life. May Allah forgive us all. We implore Almighty Allah to help us all adhere to the principles of this true religion, Islam, and enable us to be among the dwellers of Paradise in the Hereafter, Aameen. |
Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. If a woman gets her period while fasting, her fast is spoiled, even if the blood comes a moment before sunset, and she has to make that up if it was an obligatory fast. It is haraam for her to continue fasting when she is menstruating. Al-Nawawi (may Allaah have mercy on him) said in al-Majmoo’ (2/386): The ummah is unanimously agreed that it is haraam for women who are menstruating or bleeding following childbirth to fast and that their fast is not valid. She can choose not to eat in public but her fast is spoiled as such can eat secretly. The ummah is also unanimously agreed that it is obligatory for these women to make up missed Ramadaan fasts. Al-Tirmidhi, Ibn al-Mundhir, Ibn Jareer, our companions and others narrated that there was consensus on this point. If she feels that her period is about to begin but nothing comes out until after sunset, then her fast is complete and is not invalidated, according to the correct view. May Allah guide and bless our sisters in such situations. Aameen. |

AN ADDRESS BY THE CHAIRMAN OF THE APC, STATE OF OSUN, PRINCE ADEGBOYEGA FAMODUN ON THE STATE OF AFFAIRS IN OSUN Gentlemen of the press, You are welcome. We have called this meeting to intimate you of developments in our state and correct certain misconceptions on the state of affairs. On Sunday June 14, one of the leaders of opposition in this state called a meeting of his associates at the party’s secretariat in Osogbo. The declared purpose of the meeting was to strategize and reposition their party for future elections having been defeated in the governorship election of last year and their woeful performance in the general election of this year in Osun and the country as a whole. On getting to the meeting, however, the participants were told to brace up and make the state ungovernable; that the only way they could make any impression in future elections would be to make the state ungovernable by capitalising on the delay in payment of salaries by the state government. Their plan, starting from today, is unleash mayhem and cause disorder and anarchy. The law enforcement agencies have read the riot act to them and we believe they are prepared to meet force with force if it comes to that. We should make it abundantly clear that opposition is an integral part of the democratic system. We were once in opposition and we believe that constructive engagement by the opposition is needed for a good democratic system and so we support a live and let’s live accommodating multiparty political system. However, we should draw a fine line between the overbearing, unreasonable and even nuisance value of opposition on one hand from subversion, criminality and treason on the other. The lawlessness of the past that was the hallmark of PDP, that almost brought the country on its knees, has no place in the new Nigeria that birthed on May 29 with the inauguration of Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as president. Let no one be in doubt, our party came to power in Osun through popular election and we will use popular support to defend our mandate. We are determined to legitimately protect our mandate, protect our members and safeguard the safety of all citizens in the state. The delay in payment of salaries to workers in the state is unfortunate and most regrettable. The workers are our people. They are our fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, friends and relation. They are part of the people who freely gave us the mandate to govern and more importantly, they are also part of the people of the state over whom we govern and to whom we have responsibility – for their welfare and protection. What concerns them therefore concerns us and will stand with them, fight for them and go to any length to find solution to the current problem of delay in paying their salaries. We are comforted that Governor Rauf Aregbesola has promised to pay them by the end of the month. By the grace of God, he will not fail. However, the circumstances that led to the delay in salaries are not the making of the state government. Our government has a track record of taking care of its workers and would have averted this ugly development, if it could do so. Don’t forget that for four consecutive years since December 2010, the government has paid 13th month salary to workers and has upwardly reviewed monthly pension from N200 million to N520 million. It has upgraded housing and car loans to workers and resuscitated overseas training to the senior cadre. On top of this, as far back as 2011, salaries were paid on or before the 25thof every month before this present crisis. It is on record that the Aregbesola’s administration for the first time standardised the payment of pension with the introduction of the biometric electronic record system through which pension drops in the accounts of retirees without stress at the end of every month, a feat which no previous administration could perform. While we make no bones on the state government’s responsibility to pay its workers, the blame lays squarely at the feet of the last PDP led federal government that presided over evisceration of the economy in the last 16 years and actually accelerated the pace of the disaster that hold the nation’s economy by the throes for the past six years. When disaster struck in July 2013 when allocation to the states dropped by 40 per cent, our own Governor Aregbesola was the lone voice in the wilderness that alerted the nation to this disaster then (Refer Sunday Vanguard Feb 16, 2014). Now, allocation has dropped by nearly 80 per cent. For instance, at the peak of statutory allocation to Osun, the state got N5.5 billion in February 2013 but this has dropped to N466 million by April 2015. On the other hand, while salaries and emoluments was N1.4 billion when we came in November 2010, it stands today at N3.6 billion, following the increase in minimum wage in 2012. We were told by the Goodluck Jonathan led PDP administration in 2013 that the stealing of 400,000 barrels of crude oil daily (in the full glare of law enforcement agencies) was responsible for the fall in allocation. That was before the crash in the price of oil almost a year later. However, the former governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, now the Emir of Kano got into trouble and was unceremoniously removed from office when he alleged that $20 billion oil money was not remitted into the Federation Account by the NNPC. That is roughly equivalent to N4 trillion. A forensic audit carried out by Price Waterhouse Cooper later confirmed this allegation, although attempts were made to cover it up. It has also been recently revealed that the Auditor General of the Federation issued an audit query to the NNPC over unremitted N2.3 trillion. This allegation was supported by another former governor of the CBN, Prof Charles Soludo. Again, another fraud perpetrated by the Jonathan administration has been uncovered. This involves the sales of oil production licence which was sold for $1.4 billion out of which only $100 million was remitted into the Federation Account. Secondly, while the former Minister of Finance claimed that the total Excess Crude Revenue from 2011 to 2014 was N2.92 trillion, independent investigation and record put the true amount at $92.7 billion (N18.5 trillion). It is this litany of frauds and financial malfeasance by that administration that is responsible for the precipitous drop in the distributable pool of the federation account and which subsequently affected allocation to states, before the crash in oil price compounded the situation. This is why 23 states, at the last count, has been unable to pay salaries. It is not an Osun problem and those who are fixated on Osun or Aregbesola alone are living in denial. The insinuation is being made that the government has been profligate in its spending, and this was responsible for the present cash crunch. This is unfounded and unsupported by the facts on ground. First, as I said earlier, our wage bill shot up from N1.4 billion in a month to N3.6 billion, so in four year, between Nov 2010 and April 2014, we have spent N120.4 billion on salaries and emoluments out of the total allocation (including all sources) from Abuja of N177.5 billion (68%). Within the same period, our IGR efforts raked in N27.8 billion while our recurrent expenditure stood at N96.7 billion. In summary, our total money from all sources was N205.3 billion while salaries plus recurrent gulped N217.1 million. This gives us a deficit of N11.8 billion. Therefore, without capital projects, paying salaries plus our recurrent expenditure alone are at a deficit. This puts a lie to the insinuation that it was capital projects that put the government into trouble. But still, we were criticised for embarking on human development and welfare programmes instead of concentrating on paying workers salaries alone. This is asinine. When we campaigned for election, we promised the people a six point integral action plan. This is our covenant with the people and we must deliver on it. It is our commitment to our social contract with the people that drove us to construct roads, build schools, provide free meals for pupils, provide Opon Imo, deflood the state, take care of the vulnerable groups like senior citizens, disabled persons and the destitute and engage the youths in public works. On the question of helicopter, the opposition recently gave an unsolicited advice to the state government, asking it to sell its surveillance helicopter. It was an uninformed call. You will all recall the spate of armed banditry in the state prior to our coming. At the time, inter-state bandits roved freely as they seize the wealthy and especially financial institutions by the jugular, making banks to close abruptly and remain shut for business for days. People sleep with one eye open. At our coming, the state government put many security measures in place, including the purchase of armoured personnel carriers (APC) and aerial surveillance helicopter in 2013. The helicopter cost N500 million and it was paid for in five instalments. With these measures in place, you now know the difference. However, the helicopter was practically disabled by the federal government itself. Before the surveillance machine was bought, the governor built a state-of-the-art Call Centre that will operate with a special security code. The FG-controlled NCC refused till today to provide the special code for the helicopter to be linked with ground equipment for surveillance. Thus the surveillance helicopter was effectively disabled. The chopper was however put on lease and it is making money for the state and only recalled for use as the need arises. It is one of the sound financial decisions made by the government. We cannot but marvel at the ignorance and mischief of those calling for the sale of the helicopter and the quality of the thinking of those asking government to dispose of an instrument being used for the security of the citizens. On the cargo airport; it is one of the brilliant ideas of Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola intended primarily fancy stuff. There is no airport like it in Nigeria, and when completed, it would be the 4th of its kind in the African Continent. The other countries where cargo airport with a Hanger for repairing and maintaining planes exists are Egypt, Ethiopia and South Africa. But what many people deliberately live in denial of (in spite of repeated explanations by the governor) is that the airport project is being done in partnership with the Nigerian Air force. Only small minds and short-sighted people would condemn such a project because if it were useless to Nigeria and the state, the FG would not have allowed the Air force to participate in it. While we hold the workers in the highest esteem and recognise as sacrosanct the government’s obligation to pay their salaries, they are not the reason of state, the people are. Workers are the sharp instrument of the government for exercising its mandate to govern and not the object of state worship. At any rate, workers constitute less than one per cent of the population; how can we then spend more than 90 per cent of state resources on them? We owe workers to seek their welfare, but we equally owe the larger society on whose mandate we govern the same obligation. We must strike the right balance, but it is also necessary that we all have the right perspective of these things. We congratulate President Muhammadu Buhari for the cool, calm and collected manner he has steered the ship of state and we are confident he will lead us to safe harbour even as we navigate turbulent seas where the former captain had left the ship. We appeal to him also to strongly consider a bailout for state affected. After all, if banks can be bailed with more than N4 trillion, it makes good sense to bail out states whose impact are felt by millions of the people directly and indirectly. We also appeal to all residents and business concerns in the state to go about their lawful duties calmly, without fear. The security agencies have given solemn assurances that threat from whichever section will be contained and decisively quashed. I thank you for your time. |
Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Fasting in Islam is a powerful spiritual discipline. Its primary objective is to train the faithful spiritually and morally. Therefore, in order for us to reap true benefits of fasting, we must not only abstain from food and drink and sexual relations from dawn to dusk but also must shun all activities and behavior that erode or weaken the spirit of fasting. Proper fasting involves guarding our eyes, ears, hands, feet, as well as our mind against sins. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever does not shun foul words and acting accordingly, there is no need for him to deprive himself of food and drink." (Reported by Bukhari on the authority of Abu Hurayrah). He also said, "Fasting is a shield (against sins or vices); so if one of you is fasting, let him not engage in wrangling or foul or idle talks or deeds. If anyone scolds or ridicules him, let him not retaliate; rather he should simply say, I am fasting, I am fasting." (Reported by Muslim on the authority of Abu Huraryah). Listening to music and watching movies while one is fasting may fall under the categories of either sins or idle deeds or behavior. According to Aishah ra, the beloved wife of the Prophet (peace be upon him), as well esteemed Imams such as Awzai and a number of scholars of the pious generations, activities such as backbiting, engaging in gossip, idle chats and activities will render one's fast null and void. Therefore, in their view, those who are guilty of such behavior must make up their fasts. Although the majority of scholars do not share the same view as far as breaking the fast is concerned, nevertheless, they also concur the fact that such activities do take away true rewards and blessings of fast. May Allah protect us from any evil deeds. Aameen. |
Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. It is not recommended to donate blood while fasting unless there is an absolute necessity to do so. Drawing a lot of blood may make a person weak and may force him or her to break the fast. So, indulging in such an action is not at all recommended as we are advised to keep our fasts intact as best as possible. Moreover, there are scholars who are of the belief that drawing lots of blood would invalidate the fast. This is the opinion of Imam Ahmad. However, Imam Shafi and others are of the view that drawing of blood (by itself) does not break the fast; it is still not advisable to do so as it may inadvertently cause a person to break his fast. The ruling, however, is different when faced with an emergency. That is the case when one is called upon to donate blood in order to save another person's life. In this case, one must not have any hesitation to do so, even if he or she were forced to break their fast by doing so. Another exception: If a person is exceptionally strong and is confident that donating blood would not render him weak, there is no sin for him in donating blood, as per the rulings of Imam Shafi and others. In conclusion, each person should consider his own state of health before embarking on this action. Allah knows best. May Allah forgive our shortcomings, heal our sick brothers and sisters and aid all muslims in any form oppression. Aameen. |
I wrote this Article last Ramadhan but i didnt publish it. And since then, it’s being lying in my folder. it’s basically about the activities a muslimah should engage in during Ramadhan while she is on her period. many ladies actually think not being able to pray exempts them from during reward earning activities during Ramadhan. In sha Allah, this post is to enlighten the women folk and help set straight the misconception as regards the religious activities to be engaged in while fasting. I hope that this benefits everyone Zainab, reciting a verse of the Quran walked in quietly. She expected to meet no one at home as everyone in the quest to finishing the recitation of the Quran in the first 10 days of Ramadan must have gone to the masjid. Contrary to what she presumed, she did meet someone in the house. Ruqayyah! Ruqayyah was lying on the sofa watching TV. While everyone thought they barely had any time to spare for un-necessary activities, Ruqayyah was calmly watching “I hate Love Stories”, an Indian film, in the afternoon of Ramadan. Finding this eccentric, zainab couldn’t help but ask… “Zainab: do you realize it’s Ramadan? You have to fast not only with your taste buds on strike but also with every organ of your body, which vividly include your eyes and ears. Why should you waste your time watching movies? Ruqayyah: Subhanallah zainab! I am off salah. There is no act of worship that I can engage in right now and besides it’s just a movie. In fact, I have planned to watch at least 5 movies before I finish menstruating in sha Allah!” In sha Allah! I hope you took note of that word. The truth is this is a perfect example of how we spend our menstruating days during the month of Ramadan. If it’s not movies then it’s about music! May Allah protect us all. 70% of ladies during menstruation see themselves as been free from all acts of worship and they spend the whole day doing things that are imperceptibly rewarding. Ramadan is a month in which the Quran should be the most conspicious item in virtually every home. There is a distinct moral levitation and a calm atmosphere that usually envelop the whole environment. It is a month of virtue which spares no time for frivolities. In other words, there are numerous acts of worship a menstruating woman can and should engage in during Ramadan. At each salah time, if a menstruating woman performs wuduu, sits and makes Dhikr and as well perform tasbih (Subhanallah, Lailaha illallah etc) for as long as it usually take her to perform Salah, she will be given as many rewards as she will get if she had performed Salah in the best manner. Listening to the Quran is also permitted as it is the perfume for the soul, the calmer of the heart and the food for the spirit. Allah says in Quran 39verse 17 – 18 “so give good news to my slaves, those who listen to the word and then follow the best of it.” With this, listening to the Quran is prescribed for menstruating women. In ibn kathir’s tafsir of suratul a’raf verse 179, “the similitude of the one who memorizes the Qur’an but does not act in accordance to it is like a donkey which carries a load of books but does not understand what it entail.” The menstrual period is indeed an opportunity to take time and reflect upon the Quran, just like the sahabahs used to do. Mu’adh bn Jabal (RA) said the prophet of Allah (SAW) said “the people of paradise will not regret anything except one thing alone, the hour that passed them by, which they made no remembrance of Allah.” Narrated by Bayhaqi bn Shu’ab alimran (1:392 512-513). This is proof that a menstruating woman, day and night is permitted to make plenty of dhikr. We should set for ourselves daily targets during our menses, to do as much dhikr as possible throughout the day; at work, while cooking, shopping and even while relaxing. We should ensure we always remember Allah with our tongue as well as our Hearts. Moreover, the highest ranks in Jannah are for those who remember Allah the most. Also, be of best manners, character and conduct. The Rasul said “the best loved by me and the nearest to me in the seats on the day of resurrection are those who have the best manners and conducts amongst you, who are intimate, are on good terms with others and are humble. And the most hated by me, who will be on the farthest seats from me are those who are the talkative and arrogant.” Tirmidhi. It is important that a menstruating lady increase in giving out charity, as it eliminates sins and relinquishes one from Hell. In a narration, the Rasul (SAW) said: “charity wipes out sins as water extinguishes fire.” In another narration he (SAW) also said: “Righteous deeds protect a person from an evil end; a charity spent in secret extinguishes Allah’s wrath; and maintaining good ties of kinship increase one’s lifespan (Tabaran). Remember! Charity doesn’t necessarily mean giving out money or material things. Removing harmful objects from people’s way, providing for one’s family, spreading the message of Al- Islam via texts facebook updates, tweets or thought provoking pictures on instagram are also acts of charity. In conclusion, a woman on her menses must never feel that she is unable to gain the blessings and rewards of the month of Ramadan. There is virtually nothing stopping her from gaining immense reward equal to that of a man. All that is required of her is effort. Effort throughout Ramadan, and with the belief that Allah will accept all her supplication. On the inquiry of Aisha (RA), Rasul recommended that we should say “Allahuma innaka afuwun affuwun tuhibul afwa fa ‘fu anee – Oh Allah, you are pardoning and you love to pardon, so pardon me.” May Allah in His infinite mercy pardon us all and enable us gain the best of rewards in this blessed month. Amin. Have A Blessed Ramadhan Copied... |
When a soiled hand is given out food to the poor.....It's nothing but Greek gift! |
Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. I believe you all know that salah is fard(compulsory). I mean the 5x daily prayers and that the reward of doing so is great, and the sins of not doing so are terrible. Hellfire, punishment on the Day of Judgment, punishment in this life, all these things are but possibilities. But let’s take a look at a slightly different angle: What’s the position of the scholars on someone who doesn’t pray intentionally? The position of all four madhaahib, Imam Maalik, Imam Shaafi’ee, Imam Hanbali, and Imam Hanafi, with no difference of opinion is that a person who does not pray intentionally is not a Muslim. Think about that. Not a Muslim. Meaning no chance of Paradise. Meanwhile you can die anytime any day so imagine dying as a non Muslim whiles Allah warning us not to die except as practicing Muslims. Read Quran 3:101 going. There is a very explicit hadith on this–the hadith of the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) said: The difference between us and them (Kuffar/Non-Muslims) is that of salaah so whoever abandons salaah certainly commits kufr.(Tirmidhi, kitab ul Iman, Declared Sahih by Imam Tirmidhi, Imam Nasai and Allama Iraqi, Minhaaj ul Muslimeen pg.80). This is a very direct, explicit hadith–salaah is the contract, part of the mithaaq, the original contract, with Allah that all humans took. And this is only one of the explicit ahadith like this. What’s more, it was inconceivable in the time of the sahaba that someone could be a “Muslim” and not pray. It just doesn’t make sense. So think about that, next time you feel like skipping a salah. Honestly, it just takes five minutes. Don’t let your lame excuses side-track you. Just do it. For recommended actions to get us on our sajda again. May Allah keep guiding our eemaan and aid our brothers and sisters who are neglectful of their salaat to bounce back especially as Mr Ramadan approaches. May Allah aid us all in our efforts to please HIM. Aameen. |
1) Must hate all Northerners - even, including the Kogites and Kwarans. 2) Must hate current APC alliance but be ashamed to be tagged a PDP foot-soldier. 3) Must hate President Buhari passionately and covertly adore Jonathan and his 5 years of the locusts. 4) Must hate Asiwaju Tinubu but admire the Fayoses, the Obanikoros and the Bode Georges. 5) Must be a conspiracy theorist all the time and a shining defender of the Yoruba cause. 6) Must believe that Yoruba is a master race, with a master key to all Nigeria's mal-administration! 7) Must believe a Yoruba has never ruled Nigeria, for, you see, Chief Obasanjo, the Balogun of Owu, is an Igboman!! Yorubas must continue exclusive Yoruba partypolitics. No alignment, for our votes are enough to rule Nigeria. 9) In any political dispensation, Yorubas should lead as President, Vice President, Senate President and Speaker, down to Chief Judge. 10) Yorubaland MUST be a country on its own, through referendum but not through warfare....* (oro Biafra ti ko won l'ogbon!) Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem. Let's note that it is not permissible to intentionally or lazily delay your missed days of fasting from previous Ramadan till this time unless with legitimate permissible reasons which every Muslim must learn about. Allah will not accept any mistakes we do due to lack of knowledge. We must learn or ask the learned brothers and sisters before we act in Islam don't act ignorantly especially when it comes to acts of worship like Fasting.I will summarise base on Quran , Sunnah and Consensus of scholars teaching. First of all, be aware that it is NOT permissible to feed the poor during Ramadan for your missed days except those who cannot fast permanently due to old age or perminent illness such as stomach cancer etc which professional doctors has confirmed you cannot fast permanently. If there is any hope of fasting in the near future then feeding the poor is not necessary and even if you feed the poor each day you must still pay for your missed days of fasting as soon as you are well to fast. For those who fall under the category of not been able to fast permanently, then just consider good amount of food or money that can be sufficient for full day meal and give it out to the poor on daily basis or calculate for the 29/30 days fasting and give its equivalent in food or cash to the poor person(s). With regard to breastfeeding mothers and also pregnant women, two scenarios may apply: -1- If the woman is not affected by fasting, and fasting is not too difficult for her, and she does not fear for her child, then she is obliged to fast, and it is not permissible for her not to fast. Allah didn't say Pregnant/Breastfeeding mothers should not fast. It is an offer giving for those mothers who cannot fast due to difficulties they face but not all mothers face such difficulties so access yourself and act solely to please Allah. -2- If the woman fears for herself or her child because of fasting, and fasting is difficult for her, then she is allowed not to fast, but she has to make up the days that she does not fast. In this situation it is better for her not to fast, and it is makrooh (dislike) for her to fast. Some of the scholars stated that if she fears for her child, it is obligatory for her not to fast and it is haraam for her to fast. She should not feed for this reason unless if she does so as an act of sadaqa but her debt remains to be paid through fasting. Even if you missed last two years fasting etc they all remain on you to Allah even if you fed the poor daily. May Almighty Allah help us all to soley fast for his sake....Aamin |
