I keep saying it. Nigeria isn't as profitable as a lot of 'entrepreneurs' think - especially in e-commerce. Purchasing power is grossly low. All the noise they make on radio and tv doesn't align with the money they make. Other e-commerce companies still standing are not doing so based on the profit they are earning. Investors money!
It's so easy and fulfilling to be on the news and parade yourself as a 'tech giant' or e-commerce giant and grant sessions on social media week every year. All of that don't mean your business is successful. No amount of Tecno and Infinix phone you claim to sell can help you.
Solution: Tell yourself the home truth that Nigeria isn't ready for e-commerce on a large scale. Open physical shops and engage in offline/experiential marketing. Don't be too quick to catch on to technology when your country is in financial crisis and spending power is low. |

Follygunners: They implicitly disclosed his private information as a public corporation. They should be held accountable and maybe they'll realize he has more in his account than his twitter followers. That's very, very naïve of the bank to respond in such a manner. He's a customer after-all. I swear, to God, if dis Henry guy dey sharp.. he go become millionaire overnight. He should sue them. This indeed is a break-through for him. Trust me bro. This is how people in civilized countries get rich overnight. How dare you talk to a customer or a 'potential customer' like that? And people are applauding this nonsense? Oya let them go and open bank account na because they have a 'savage' customer service team. Institutions employing children and inexperienced lots. This is not wits, it's outright stupidity. If the guy later turns out to have loads of money in future, guess one bank that he'll never put his funds in. Only in entertainment that bad publicity is publicity. Banks are trying to be like entertainers. Shame! |

sexybaby22: Sometimes in life, there are some secrets you take to the grave.
If the man takes care of your 3 children you had together, I see no reason why you should expose this sort of issue especially in this our homophobic society. She didn't even consider the children she had for him, how people will mock them that their father is gay and the psychological effects on them.
Freeze should have cautioned her not to grant this interview. Or Freeze is the one behind the interview? That Freeze guy ehn, I don't trust the dude at all. |

Tequilah: City Mall's problem is that there are too few shops within the complex, that cater to mass market tastes and pockets. Apart from KFC and Goodies, most of the other shops there sell items with high price tags that cannot even justify their value.
Unlike other complexes like Ikeja Shopping Mall, Shoprite in Lekki etc, where there is something available in every price range for all ages and tastes, City Mall falls short in this area. And it is constantly reviewing its rent upwards every year, with the result that most shop owners pack out each time there is a rent increase. A shop might have built a loyal clientelle with good patronage that visits the mall, but by the following year when rents go up, such a shop owner would leave the premises, taking their clients with them.
Another thing that has a negative effect on the influx of visitors to City Mall is the location of the VIO/Traffic unit across the road, not far from the Mall. The officers there are wicked. They impound cars on that road anyhow, for real and imaginary offences and then take the motorist to their office before compelling him to pay fines ranging from 50,000 naira to 250,000 naira. No be joke, o! According to them, they were given a target by the state govt., which must be met by hook or by crook. Anyway, these extortionists are fond of locating themselves on the Onikan road leading to the Mall, and any motorist that falls into their trap for the day is doomed.
If you are unable to cough up their 'fee', your car sleeps in their yard overnight. Every night your vehicle stays there is 10,000 naira. Now, who in his right senses, that has had a taste of their wicked antics would like to still visit the City Mall, when there is a high probability that he might run into these extortionists in uniform?? But you have no problem when all your papers are complete ba? |
