OniyideAmplify: The country population is about 170 million people.
The voice of the people is the voice of God.
Where there is unity and oneness in a group of people, they can pull down a mountain but tribalism and religion has blocked the brains of many of our people here.
babasolution: They have religion but they aren't religious
Dude, the average Japanese man on his way to work in the morning, STOPS OVER AT A SHRINE to do a short prayer to the deity of the shrine. Japan has 100,000+ shrines.
As they are walking or driving to work, they stop at any nearest shrine for a couple minutes to pray or drop food or flowers as SACRIFICE. It doesn’t matter to them who the particular deity of the shrine is.
Shintoism is their national religion.
When a Japanese man buys a new car, he takes it to a SHRINE for the traditional Shinto priest to pour spiritual water over the car, for safe journeys in the vehicle!
Their shrines are well built and maintained, since Shintoism is the official national religion.
In fact JAPAN is what AFRICA would have been like in terms of religious practice, if the thieving Europeans and Arabs had not forced their fake religions on us.
babasolution: White America even though I don't really think they are religious, shouldn't be a standard for blacks,America is an exception to the rule.
Also blacks are in such a bad state that drastic measures have to be taken to uplift their status.
Pure logical reason, intellectualism, should be the guiding light of blacks at this point
You need a moral basis for your nation.
A moral grounding.
No country hangs on nothing.
All successful nations have an indigenous religious system on which they are based.
The reason is because technology and intellectualism alone will not guarantee that your society develops based on fairness, justice, empathy, and probity.
You need a moral grounding, so that you don’t need to police or force people into doing the right thing, and it comes naturally from them.
MasterJayJay: India, a hindu country landed unmanned ship on the moon.
Make una rest.
The difference is they are practicing their TRADITIONAL religion and culture, while we are practicing worship of WHITE MAN and ARAB MAN, via fake “saviours” like Jesus and Muhammad.
But white Americans are the most religious bible freaks in the world, and it didn’t stop that country from developing.
Even the convicted criminal Trump is primarily supported by millions of white so-called ‘Christian Evangelicals’, many of whom believe him to be ‘Jesus’ returned.
Those ‘Christian evangelicals’ are guided in their ideology by a deeply racist, hateful interpretation of bible principles, and are the biggest population of gun owners in America, and among the largest voting blocs in the country!
So if you think blacks are over religious, you haven’t seen white American Christian Evangelicals.
Also, the so-called ‘Jews’ in Israel are extremely religious, and EVERYTHING they do, from rejecting pork meat to eating kosher food only, to marrying only fellow ‘Jews’, is all controlled by their religion.
The Japanese have over 100,000 shrines, some built and maintained by the government. Their religion, Shintoism, is identical with EDO religion, featuring deities, ancestor veneration, water spirits etc.
Yet Japan is a very advanced country.
So the problem is NOT that Africans are religious.
The problem is that Africans practice FOREIGN IMPORTED RELIGIONS imposed on them by RACIST CRIMINAL INVADERS, which do NOTHING for Africans except make them feel INFERIOR to the people who brought them the new white “saviours”, from “Jesus” to “Muhammed”.
So Africans need to RETURN to their traditional religion and UPDATE it in line with modern conventions as happened with other religions, and become AFRICANS again.
sreamsense: Is it just first time you heard them doing that? They are there purposely to avoid information and communication linkages to avoid Iran hackers from tapping into vital info. Citizens also move majorly into their bunker too. Iran will be the one to suffer after one hit from Iran, Iran will get triple
SHUT UP. Which ''citizens move into their bunker''?
Who told there are nuclear bunkers for the millions of Israeli citizens?
Do you know the cost of a nuclear bunker for one person talk less of millions of people?
Arda1000: Food is a personal choice they can swallow on their Amala and Ewedu while I swallow my Akpu and Onugbu in peace
Variety is the spice of life.
You limit your enjoyment of the world by being unadventurous.
Personally I eat and enjoy EVERY swallow dish and soup from anywhere in Nigeria.
In fact the more rare and exotic it is, the better.
If you place egusi or okro soup in my front, and then bring an unknown village delicacy soup from say Plateau state or Edo state or Kwara, I will choose the latter, just to see what the people in those places are enjoying.
Jokerman: Nigeria is still home bro.... No matter how far we travel
Exactly. In fact most people that travel to Europe for holidays, after a couple of weeks they’ve had enough, and want to return to Naija.
The ones that live there MISS Nigeria like hell, and always RETURN at the slightest excuse.
I used to live abroad, and of all the immigrant groups, NIGERIANS were the ones who traveled back home the most for holidays, business etc.
Indians, Pakistanis, and Bangladeshis almost NEVER return back.
Their own type of immigration is permanent cut off from their home countries. They just send money to their people back home, but they rarely go back there.
Yeah I’m CRYING for your STUPIDITY and BRAINLESSNESS.
It’s your DUMB mentality of “everywhere outside Nigeria is heaven” that’s led to thousands of you ending up as SLAVES in Libya and Lebanon, forced to suck Arab guards’ dcks in return for DOG FOOD thrown on the floor for you to pick and eat, and then calling on the FG to send planes to evacuate you AT TAXPAYERS’ EXPENSE.
treesun: Nobel laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka, on Sunday faulted President Bola Tinubu’s national broadcast for not addressing the violent crackdown by security forces on #EndBadGovernance protesters.
I See Myself As Beautiful And Well Dressed, I Don't Look At The Mirror So I Won't Have Negative....0:00 / 1:07
Soyinka, in a statement expressed concern over the president’s omission of this critical issue.
He said: “I set my alarm clock for this morning to ensure that I did not miss President Bola Tinubu’s impatiently awaited address to the nation on the current unrest across the nation.
“His outline of government’s remedial action since inception, aimed at warding off just such an outbreak, will undoubtedly receive expert and sustained attention both for effectiveness and in content analysis. My primary concern, quite predictably, is the continuing deterioration of the state’s seizure of protest management, an area in which the presidential address fell conspicuously short.
“Such short-changing of civic deserving, regrettably, goes to arm the security forces in the exercise of impunity and condemns the nation to a seemingly unbreakable cycle of resentment and reprisals. “Live bullets as state response to civic protest – that becomes the core issue. Even tear gas remains questionable in most circumstances, certainly an abuse in situations of clearly peaceful protest. Hunger marches constitute a universal S.O.S, not peculiar to the Nigerian nation. They belong indeed in a class of their own, never mind the collateral claims emblazoned on posters. “They serve as summons to governance that a breaking point has been reached and thus, a testing ground for governance awareness of public desperation. The tragic response to the ongoing hunger marches in parts of the nation, and for which notice was served, constitutes a retrogression that takes the nation even further back than the deadly culmination of the watershed ENDSARS protests. “It evokes pre-independence – that is, colonial – acts of disdain, a passage that induced the late stage pioneer Hubert Ogunde’s folk opera BREAD AND BULLETS, earning that nationalist serial persecution and proscription by the colonial government. “The nation’s security agencies cannot pretend unawareness of alternative models for emulation, civilized advances in security intervention. “Need we recall the nationwide 2022/23 editions of what is generally known as the YELLOW VEST movement in France? Perhaps it is time to make such scenarios compulsory viewing in policing curriculum. In all of the coverage that I watched, I did not catch one single instance of a gun leveled at protesters, much less fired at them even during direct physical confrontations. “The serving of bullets where bread is pleaded is ominous retrogression, and we know what that eventually proves – a prelude to far more desperate upheavals, not excluding revolutions. “The time is long overdue, surely, to abandon, permanently, the anachronistic resort to lethal means by the security agencies of governance. No nation is so under-developed, materially impoverished, or simply internally insecure as to lack the will to set an example. All it takes is to recall its own history, then exercise the will to commence a lasting transformation, inserting a break in the chain of lethal responses against civic society. “Today’s marchers may wish to consider adopting the key songs of Hubert Ogunde’s BREAD AND BULLETS, if only to inculcate a sense of shame in the continuing failure to transcend the lure of colonial inheritance where we all were at the receiving end. One way or the other, this vicious cycle must be broken.”
Celplas1010: U gave Buhari 8 years, not result. U are now giving Tinubu 8 years, definitely their will be no result. 8 years of Buhari and 8 years of Tinubu, that is 16 years. How old will u be by then and what will be ur achievement? Pls, I never intend insulting u.
SHUT UP, FOOL.
HOW DO YOU KNOW “THERE WILL BE NO RESULT” WITH TINUBU?
STUPID IPOB TERRORIST.
DEMONIC IMBECILES WITH BAD MIND HOPING FOR FAILURE BECAUSE YOU ARE SICK!
vanbonattel: He may have a different product for them, sometimes, these foreign people have people inside such companies to qualify check anything going to their place. They are not like the incompetent Nigeria government.
IPOB SHUT UP.
ANIMAL.
There are no “foreign people” with “insiders” in Dangote refinery, checking “what is going to their place”.
uuzba: I don't get it. If you are so proud about your Biafra stuff, why don't you make a Biafra webpage and leave this Nigerian webpage (Nairaland) alone? Why are you always here, telling everybody you can, that you are not a Nigerian?
Because they are attention-seeking narcissists.
Without that attention from others they feel worthless.
