THE BEST SKILL TO ACQUIRE

Are you looking for a new career field? Why not consider becoming a heavy equipment operator? The pay is good, and the field is growing faster than ever. But most employers want experienced operators or entry-level operators who have completed formal training.

If you’re serious about your career, take charge from the beginning. Sign up for our training program that will provide you with invaluable skills to help you build for the future.

One of the lessons learned during 2020 is perhaps there’s not enough value prescribed toward stability. The current calendar year has been marked by one turbulent month after another. The coronavirus pandemic continues to alter most aspects of daily life across the country. End Sars protests, Kidnapping and robberies in the southern states, and civil unrest is found throughout the entire country. The job market shrank dramatically early in the year, and now seasonal changes may further affect the outlook.

If you’re looking to get back on solid ground and find a way to ensure a productive career, heavy equipment training can offer you a way back to stability.
Despite the damages from bad governance, the changing seasons, and the unsure nature of just about everything at the moment, you can be sure of one thing: "builders will still be needed".
And heavy equipment operators will remain a steady backbone of that industry. Whether it’s improving infrastructure projects, rebuilding damaged homes and property, hauling goods and materials to where they’re needed, or mining the raw materials to rebuild, heavy equipment operators will be needed in the future to make sure all the jobs get done.

Benefits of Attending Heavy Equipment Training with Equilog Tech Services.

What you will get after your training?

1.A global recognized certificate that can be used in any part of the world to secure a job.
2. Letter of recommendation for Industrial training after your training with us.
3. Professionally detailed CV with reference and work experience
4. Job assistance

* The objectives of our trainings are to equip the operators with knowledge and skills that would enhance operator’s safety awareness thereby minimizing risk at workplace. It would also expose them to the latest techniques concept and regulations required in their field of operation for increased safety and productivity.

* One of the things we’re proudest of at Equilog is the fact that our classes are not simply academic. Knowing the ins and outs of regulations and guidelines is important, without a doubt, but that’s not all a successful heavy machinery operator needs. That’s why we offer extensive opportunities to get hands-on experience as part of your education (Work Based Learning). You don’t want your first day on the job to also be your first day in a machine! With our heavy machinery operator classes, you’ll be able to work out the kinks and get comfortable with the equipment before setting out on your own.

*Course Outline

*Health & Safety Practices
*Personal Protective Equipment
*Safe Workplace Inspection
*Work Place Hazard/Prevention
*Introduction to Machine Parts
*On-the-Job Training/Field Practicals

*Exam/Assessment Quiz

*Classroom Assignments

Although classroom assignments may vary based on the program, most cover topics in safety and mechanical operation. Programs also train students and apprentices on maintenance and light repair work. Instructors may then go on to educate aspiring heavy equipment operators on a range of duties from using levers to lifting materials to inspecting equipment for safety.

On-the-Job Training (Experienced Instructors)

On-the-job training allows students and apprentices the opportunity to gain work experience under the supervision of a licensed operator. Instruction may begin with simulated programs. Once beginners are familiarized with equipment operation, they may start operating bulldozers and forklifts in designated practice areas.

* Half of your time with us will be dedicated to training in the field, performing tasks like designed lifts, setting up cranes, and practicing smooth operating techniques, tandem lifts, blind lifts, tower erections, boom assembly, rigging, and signaling. You’ll also have the opportunity to train with multiple types of cranes, forklifts and other machines. This includes rigging loads with hook-block, or drag-line attachments.

* While we offer a variety of certifications and classes, you’re also welcome to specialize your training on one type of machine in particular. Of course, training and being an expert on multiple machines can make you a more valuable asset in the eyes of future employers.
The importance of skills

The 21st century is the century of skilled people where survival depends on the quality of personal skills. In the current era, the Darwinian ‘fittest’ needs to be skilled in order to survive and a Shavian ‘Superman’ needs to learn skills in order to be distinguished. Mastering a variety of skills can be a distinguishing mark of an individual in this era of competition, multiculturalism and globalization.

Jobs/Vacancies / Importance Of Skill Development by kvngceci: 2:15pm On Dec 07, 2020
Importance of Skill Development

Taking into consideration the current education and job scenario, appropriate job-related skills complement a formal degree in any discipline, and increases career opportunities. The job industry too expects the prospective workforce to come prepared...

Possessing a specialised skill set increases employment opportunities.

You spent *18 years* from *Nursery to University*, yet you have no skills. You only have a certificate. *You can’t code. You can’t nurse. You can’t build. You can’t manufacture. You can’t sell.* Yet, you call those who can illiterates? The joke is on you!

*_The best student in your class is not the one who always comes first in exams. Exams are just a test of memory. The best student is the one who comes first in life.

_* To do that you need skills. Pass your exams, but also pass on some skills to yourself.
_Better to be full of skills than be full of certificates..._

*if you want to be real have both!*

"LUCK" is when preparation meets Opportunity.

Certification And Training Adverts / Lucrative Job Opportunities With A Global Recognized Certification. by kvngceci: 2:50pm On Nov 20, 2020
Congratulations Ibukun, Equilog graduate trainee (November Batch 2019) on your Intern placement with Dangote refinery, Ibeju Lekki. We are proud of you and wish you God's favor as you advance in your Career.

Since the equipment is huge and powerful, it takes training and skills to operate and maintain them. These skills are usually learned through a certified training/apprenticeship program involving intensive on the job as well as classroom training. They also learn about maintenance and servicing. Apprenticeship training is a valuable part of the process where each designated trade has a mandatory number of hours which must be completed for a Certificate of Qualification. This duration is built into the Plan of Training and can range from one month to six months based on the specific trade.

After this is completed, operators become journey persons and are ready to seek employment. A journey person is defined as someone who has met the requirements for writing the necessary certification examination, has successfully passed the certification examination and is a recipient of the Certificate of Qualification to make them eligible to work as an operator. Work can often be seasonal and involve long hours in different types of weather.

There is a growing need for heavy equipment operators based on the trends affecting the growth in the construction industry, especially in the engineering and highways sector, including mining, construction, haulage, oil and gas, forestry, municipalities and agriculture. Also, on the job, operators, besides maneuvering heavy machinery, must also accurately calculate the right loads, follow instructions and make sure that the equipment is maintained well so that they perform their work of installing construction materials, laying down roads or paving in an efficient way.

As an OSHA training provider, Equilog training institute courses are rated as foremost in Nigeria and many European countries with excellent pass rates by our candidates.

Heavy equipment operators operate backhoes, bulldozers, reach stackers, pay loaders, excavators, forklifts, cranes and other similar heavy equipment's.

We are here to guide you towards achieving the necessary skills that will help you reach your goal — obtain not just a job, but a career!

Career Services for Heavy Equipment Operator Trainees.

Billions are being spent in Nigeria and many more developed countries to build and repair roads, bridges, airfields, office buildings, shopping centers, and subdivisions – not to mention for soil conservation, land leveling, reclamation and flood control projects to improve our environment. Heavy equipment machines cost hundreds of thousands of naira, but they do a lot of work and earn a profit for their owners, if qualified operators run them.

The construction, forestry, strip mining, conservation, land clearing, utilities and other industries are not going to employ untrained or unskilled people to operate these costly machines. And so, the need for qualified heavy equipment operators never ends. The person who successfully completes a high-quality training program in this field should have a good future. Because of this, our Heavy Equipment Operator Graduates are generally fully employed in this field soon after graduation. Construction is the largest service industry in Nigeria, the United States, Canada, Australia, Dubai and it is growing fast, with more roads, houses, apartments, and office buildings being built every day – and plenty more on the drawing boards. Contractors and construction firms have a constant need for qualified heavy-equipment operators, to help build all these highways and structures. Heavy equipment operators and small earth-moving contractors also work in the utilities industry, including telephone, electric, gas, and water companies.

There is no more important occupation in developed and developing countries than the heavy equipment operator. Without these people, we would have very limited roads, dams, bridges, housing, flood control, and very little mining, land clearing, conservation, landscaping, reclamation, land filling, logging, or pipelines.

Equilog Training Institute will train you on various types of heavy equipment, qualifying you for a great job. The opportunities in this field are excellent for properly trained individuals. Demand for qualified heavy equipment operators shows strong, consistent growth. For qualified operators, this means job security, diverse employment opportunities, great benefits, retirement plans and steady compensation.

Career / Most Sought After Job In Canada; Forklift Operator! by kvngceci: 11:31am On Aug 12, 2020
Where Do Forklift Operators Work?

If you are now making a decision if you want to pursue a career as a forklift driver and you’re maybe asking where do forklift operators work?

You may find yourself working in many different workplaces – constructions sites, ports, warehouses, storage yards and factories.

You could be assigned to different workplace conditions and extreme temperatures. Depending on the kind of materials you will be moving.

Working as a forklift operator is an 8-hour shift. But in the warehouses where customers come and go and are around, work shifts can be round the clock.

If you think being a forklift operator is easy then you’re wrong. The task is repetitive and physically demanding. Not all tasks can be done by the forklift, in some situation you may need to lift pallets, carry heavy tools and do the goods inventory.

Getting the Require Certification to Become a Forklift Operator

Operating this truck is considered hazardous. Considering the weight and size of the forklift, accidents do happen when operated by someone who is not capable. Therefore before you can get a job as a forklift operator you need to be certified first.

Before you can get certified, there are some basic requirements that you need to comply with.

First, the age is important – you cannot be a forklift operator if you are below 18 years old. Hiring managers are picky about the job candidate’s age, you won’t be able to get a job unless you’re 18 years or older. The second basic requirement is you need to have at least an O' level result as a proof of basic education. Third, just I’ve mentioned already, this job is physically demanding, therefore, you need to be in good health.

You can then take formal training in the vocational and technical school or college that offers forklift certification training like Equilog Training Institute.

Once you are enrolled, you will go through the classroom training that takes up about 5 hours to complete. After that, you will have the opportunity to operate the forklift hands-on during the practical training.

At the end of the training course, the instructor will then facilitate a written exam and practical test to verify your competency. If all goes well and you’ve succeeded passing both tests, the instructor will issue you a certificate of training completion and/or operator card.
Congratulations, you are now forklift certified.

Career Paths of the Profession

In the beginning, you may need to find a job as a warehouse assistant or an intern. Doing so will give you the opportunity to gain the experience to climb up the career ladder.

You can take other pieces of training related to your job. Those are added credentials for career advancement. The experience you’ve attained through the years and the training you’ve achieved during your employment is a great recipe for a job promotion. You could be a team leader or a warehouse supervisor.

If you’ve been working for the company and you’ve been promoted several times, you could be appointed as manager.

Professionalism and dedication towards your work are the key elements to progress in any field. You just have to express those two credentials and you could find yourself on the brink of advancement

If you have the passion to become an operating engineer, you can take a heavy equipment training course. Forklift operators eventually become equipment operator which has better pay.

Advancing in Your Job

You can receive a lot of tips and suggestion in advancing your career in this field. The goal is to pick that are applicable to you, do take action and begin the first step.

You can set goals you want to target in the next coming decades. Take time think where you want to bring your career. You may be vying for a new position in your company or you may want to leave your present company and venture out to find a better opportunity.

Go take different professional development training. Be strategic about the career you want to follow in your chosen field. Doing so will able you to decide the training you want to take that is applicable to your chosen profession.

Advancing career is a never-ending undertaking. What’s important is you’re mobile and keep up with the challenge to the ever-changing landscape.

The Bottom Line on This

If you are just starting your career and don’t have yet sufficient knowledge about this job, the ones that could help are your colleagues. Those friends of yours who are forklift operators can definitely give you a boost in deciding if this job is the one you want to do.

Ask them the same question – where do they work as forklift operators. They may give you an additional insight on how to succeed in this job.

They could even refer you to an employer for possible employment.

Go talk to your colleagues or to a counselor if this career path is the one you want to take.

Good luck and have a good career in the next coming years!

Investment Ads / Your Life, Invest In It! Acquire A Life Time Investment. (SKILLS) by kvngceci: 12:40pm On Jul 24, 2020
Heavy Equipment Operator In Canada, Dubai, Poland, Job Outlook.

Terrific!! Construction is expected to grow 19 percent from 2012 to 2022*, faster than the average for all occupations! This is due in part because of the increased spending on the infrastructure to improve roads, bridges, water and sewer systems, and the electrical power grid. In addition to the need for heavy equipment operators to repair and upgrade our infrastructure, these workers will be needed to keep up with the need for more houses, apartments, and other building projects, due to population growth.

Construction equipment operators held 409,700 jobs in 2012, with approximately 78,000 more operators needed by 2022 to keep up with the expected growth.* In addition to the NEW job opportunities, heavy equipment operators will be needed to replace those leaving the industry.

The potential for employment in the construction industry is outstanding, to say the least. The best opportunities will be available to heavy equipment operators who have the training and ability to operate MULTIPLE types of equipment.

There’s plenty of work to do on a construction site that cannot be done by hand; this is where a construction equipment operator comes in. He or she may operate the equipment that moves heavy materials from Point A to Point B, excavate gravel and earth, drive piles into the ground, or spread and level asphalt, concrete and other paving material.

In this position, workers will operate heavy equipment used in the construction and maintenance of roads, bridges, airports, gas and oil pipelines, tunnels, buildings and other structures, in surface mining and quarrying activities and in material handling work. They are employed by construction, pipeline and logging companies, as well as by heavy equipment contractors.

All over the world including Nigeria, numerous multibillion dollar infrastructure and excavation projects are underway and making good progress. At the forefront of these projects is a skilled set of committed heavy-equipment operators.

According to the Occupational Outlook Handbook popularly read in Nigeria, Construction Equipment Operators are predicted to see an increase of 19 percent in their job outlook from 2012 to 2022; this is well above the average outlook of 11 percent for the same timeframe in other industries.

In addition to this statistic, there are other reasons why heavy equipment is a strong career choice for those looking to make a career change.

Perhaps most enticing among these reasons are that few blue-collar jobs pay as well as heavy equipment operator jobs. When you consider the pay, the pension, and all the benefits together, it is a fairly lucrative field. Additionally, if you have multiple qualifications (i.e. rigger, mobile crane operation, forklift, excavator, reachstacker certification, etc.), you can command even higher pay.

Coupled with high pay is plenty of opportunity. The heavy equipment industry is seeking new candidates to hire and train right now. Both the private sector and the public sector need qualified people to operate heavy equipment to build roads, bridges, skyscrapers, public projects, and so on. According to statistics, there were 404,900 heavy equipment operators employed in 2010 alone, and this number is only growing.

Along with the compensation and available jobs, a career as a heavy equipment operator can offer a certain level of job security. Heavy equipment operators can work for state and local governments; highway, street and bridge construction companies; utility system construction companies; and other specialty trade contractors. With all of this need, this industry is one where you can find plenty of opportunity and security.

For Heavy equipment operators, over the period 2019-2028, new job openings (arising from expansion demand and replacement demand) are expected to total 26,400 , while 28,100 new job seekers (arising from school leavers, immigration and mobility) are expected to be available to fill them.

As job openings and job seekers are projected to be at relatively similar levels over the 2019-2028 period, the balance between labour supply and demand seen in recent years is expected to continue over the projection period.

Everyone aspires to have a bright future....

We know that with the right skills and expert knowledge you can achieve anything, anywhere and anytime.
Having a decent white collar job has always been the dream of every individual, but due to the trend in world globalization where job loss has become a norm and job titles are beginning to change, more individuals (Graduates, Non graduates, employed and unemployed) are seeking to secure their future by acquiring a life time SKILL.

A heavy equipment operator's job prospects are anticipated to increase in the coming years. This is all due to a severe shortage of good training programs and scarcity of trained workers. People usually don't opt for jobs in a place where they have to work in uncomfortable working environments.
Heavy equipment operators operate equipment used in the construction and maintenance of bridges, roads, airports, tunnels, pipelines, buildings and other structural work. Construction, production and manufacturing companies, public works and heavy equipment contractors recruit equipment operators.

The scope of the job profile of a equipment operator is expected cover most job openings, as economic growth have bought in new infrastructural growth, which requires constant maintenance. There would be constant requirement for equipment operators to maintain and patch up roads. Many cities are growing and installing mass transportation systems. This expansion would need workers to fill in new jobs.

Politics / Re: Orji Kalu Admitted To Holding Cell After Conviction [Photos] by kvngceci: 1:09pm On Dec 05, 2019
Our job market has been strong over recent years, driven by solid economic growth of around 3% annually. Reflecting that, unemployment hit a 10 year low in 2018.

While growth in both the economy and jobs is forecast to slow a little after 2021, the government still expects the workforce will grow at 1.8% annually - meaning New Zealand will continue needing need about 47,000 more workers a year into the near future.

The majority of these jobs will be in highly skilled occupations, and it’s expected most will have to be filled by people coming to New Zealand from overseas. Perhaps - people like you.

More detail about the immediate future is in the short term jobs forecast section below.

New Zealand has many job openings for specialists in sectors such as health, engineering and IT. But there are also opportunities for workers with more generalist skills, particularly in construction/trades and in business services.
