Vancanci and co;

I like your strategy and even if it might not be 100 percent on all stocks, it seems cool.

I would like to ask;

Let's assume you have 200k units of a stock at an average price of N13 and it's currently trading at N17. What will be your play if the company announces a right issue?

NB: you don't know the ratio of the issue but there has been a sell pressure on the stock in recent times pulling it from N20 to N17.

Chai. Dangsugar has recorded its first fall since the suspension of the merger.

For learning purpose, was there a sale of 100,000 units?

It is common sense that the capital raise is about enhancing the bank's ability to withstand potential shocks and maintain financial stability, as per the CBN's requirements. This raised money cannot be used for growth and serve as a buffer at the same time.

As a business person who is invested in a high-risk business, if you set aside some money to support your business in bad times, would you then go and use that money to try to make more gains? Does that make sense to you?

I also do not agree that it is common sense that those are the only 2 objectives of the recapitalization. What happened to the plan of 1 trillion economy of the govt? How do they achieve that by staching money away?

What if the money is used in risk free investments to make more gain?

It could be FPIs activities (FPI - Foreign Portfolio Investors)
The type of funds entering the stocks are massive
ZENITH and GTCO are parts of their favourites stocks.....lol.
* Also, the dollar gangs may be taking position as $$ is depreciating against Naira

ACCESS may likely still respond too, especially if the positive momentum in the sector continues......and once others starts declaring their dividends as well.

Note that this is what I thought could cause it, it may be right or wrong....

GT, ZEE, UBA and ACCESS: Each has over N1bn in transactions so far....

Thank you!

Have their results been released? Why is zenith and Gt moving up when ACCESS whose dividend was declared has remained stagnant?
Investment / Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Kwibaba(m): 7:11pm On Mar 22
yMcy56:
GTCO now @49.50!
ZENITH @40.45!
FBNH @38
UBA @27.70
ACCESS @23.90
The kind of funds picking these up though!

** Not any form of buy or sell advice**
Millions of fidelity shares were traded today, yet no price movement, why is that?

Don't be in haste, opportunities will still come...

The only issue is recognizing or aligning with it when you see it....... neither can be patient for it.

MTNN was mentioned here recently at bargain junction but many couldn't recognize it when it presented itself.

You are right...
I can't believe first bank is @40. At 30 I was expecting a uturn, but it continues it's journey upwards.

International Energy Insurance is not new, you're the new one here. grin

I think it's result that will determine the ones at bargain or not around this time.....and, the TA experts, this is to avoid catching falling knives.

Some are getting battered already (GUINNESS, NB), recovery not fully in sight yet.

Another HIGH RISK ones that I can mention are not NSEMPA friendly. smiley

You should have risk First Bank since when we've been shouting it here. Think I hammered it when it was trading @16 too
* Another one to risk: TRANSPOWER*

Hmmm. Alright. Where was I when first bank was 16. Can't remember. Anyways. We keep watch thank you

Who provoked GT and ZEE towards COB? grin
GT closed @48.45!
Up with +10% ....gained +N4.40

ZEE closed @39.70!!
Gained +N1.20

FBNH closed @37!!

Elephant pursuing ZEE grin

Is this increase based on sentiment or value. Will it be okay to sell now and then wait for the price to ful then buy again?

What do you advise?

Bottom price seekers saw it but rather than dive in, they were waiting for bigger bottom.

This year's dividend payments may be chop and clean mouth, meaning prices may recover a day or two after mark down. Watch out

Please explain more... price may recover a day or 2 after Mark down
