MrAJQ: Many of those who are outside Kaduna state will not understand this. The truth is if CAN had not be preaching for its members not to vote El-Rufai and making it seem like a religious affairs, sharing memo that they have to defeat Islamic agenda in the state PDP would have won Kaduna.
Because El-Rufai stepped on many toes in fact he stepped on more Muslims toes than the Christian toes.
Only those in Kaduna can understand Everybody knows down here that CAN started it, el rufai just used it against them.... As yourself why SK people are suddenly quiet... minus me sha........ |

BotherMleeper: People like Suleiman and a whole host of such pastors are showboaters and opportunists. They use the climate to drum their agenda into the followers and keep them in a perpetual state of fear, uncertainty and doubt such that they'll have power over them by using prayers as a means of succor and relief. These Pentecostal churches are really harping on the divide to fan the flames of hate.
Apologies to anyone offended by the above, but it's my impression of what they do.
Some churches like Deeper Life seem truly about salvation and less about politics. At least that's how it seems to me.
However, we too have imams who whip up sentiments all day in mosques, and sow the seed of intolerance in their followers. Damn. What else can I say, you said it all |
Politics › Re: Governorship Election Results 2019 From Polling Units Across States (unofficial) by Kyase(m): 11:24am On Mar 11, 2019 |
BotherMleeper: To be honest with you, I dont like government dabbnling in religion...
.....but....
...I'd wish we can tone it down a bit. We're the loudest people when it comes to religion. I dont like us blaring everything on loudspeakers, other people deserve their peace.
If you want to be preached at, meet with the preacher in your temple and do it within the ambiance. Every muslim should know when it's time for prayers if you do it 5 times a day, why do I need some loudspeaker blaring at 5am when I can set my own personal alarm?
Why must we shout our beliefs all over rooftops and take over the airwaves? You said it all |

Anasko: El-rufai never ban use of speakers in worship places. besides muslims uses speakers more in worship places. That's what they thought... Apostle Suleiman added to this too |
Politics › Re: Governorship Election Results 2019 From Polling Units Across States (unofficial) by Kyase(m): 11:08am On Mar 11, 2019 |
BotherMleeper: I think it's not ever going to be easy to pin the blames. Both sides play politics of religion, and they'll always do.
I'm a fulani muslim, but even I have misgivings with the choices of El Rufai. Now, I know a great deal of southern kaduna christians hate muslims mostly because the hate is mutual and largely because of a feeling of isolation. But a leader is supposed to rise above such petty sentiments and be a leader to all. No one in the history of kaduna has shown such blatant prejudice to faith than El Rufai.
It's his right to pick his vice, but politics is all about compromise; what's the harm if his deputy was a christian to appease the SOKAPU people so they feel some sense of belonging? How would that diminish his capacity to lead, given deputies are always just necessary baggage who really do nothing?
Also Rufai's utterances are quite unbecoming. The man has no business being in politics given his proclivity for saying things that worsen situations. No one in kaduna, muslim or christian, is happy with crises, because in conflagrations all lose.
Of course, the christian community is also not helping, given the pronouncements of some of their pastors recently. They say provocative things and make enemies of every single muslim, thereby exacerbating the divide.
Every single institution that ordinarily should imbue sanity in the society has failed: the politicians, the clergy, the legislature, the judiciary, the academics, parents, the youths..everyone has failed....
so who do you really blame?
Your chosen deity? What you said is just the Truth... This started when el ban outdoor speaker in worship centres the Christian saw that as attack on them |

Indispensable85: Exactly, he should call a meeting of religious leaders across the divide and assure them of fairness and equity. The message will in turn be carried to their followers in the grassroots. Subsequently he should follow through with equitable distribution of appointments and infrastructural development across board. He should endeavour by all means to leave behind a legacy of peaceful coexistence in kaduna before the end of his second tenure. I pray so |
