I don't usually praise politicians, but Gbaja stands out. He represents the kind of leadership we should encourage and support. In my opinion, he is well suited for a higher office, whether as Governor of Lagos State or any other position that requires capable, responsible, and visionary leadership.

I don't blame them. I blame the many irresponsible parents of this generation who are raising irresponsible children.

Imagine these pictures. In my days, a girl posing like this for a photograph could change her destiny overnight. The fear of parents, neighbours, teachers, church members, and the entire community was enough to keep everybody in check.

I had a very unpleasant experience with VIO officials yesterday, one that rendered me helpless and cheated. It's been 24 hours since the incident, but I'm still seething, not just for the money they extorted me of, but for the vulnerability of ordinary Nigerians in the hands of state-empowered irrational people in uniforms, and in some instances, with guns.

I had a very important place to visit, and was already running late. These guys stopped me, asked for all vehicle documents, which I presented to them. Determined to find a fault, and capitalise on it to extort me, they said the temporary driver's license I was holding was unstamped. The same licence I paid for in full since last year February, and they are yet to schedule me for capturing. Whose fault was it that I've not been captured? I applied for the licence in a government's licencing office, where it should have been stamped according. Why should I bear the brunts?

They made me lose my appointment, deprived me of an opportunity, forced me to their office and extorted me. They insisted I pay in cash, at that point, I knew it was a pure robbery, and unfortunately, I could do nothing against a state-weaponised extortionists.

We can't continue like this as a people, this system is corrupt at all levels, no accountability anywhere.

After applying to 500 Jobs from job boards and communities for 3 months straight with only 18 emails been opened. You followed up and no pim after that.

I have come to the realization that Job board application’s isn’t worth it. After starting glued and sticking like a watch job to submit a job 20-30 mins after being posted and getting ghosted.

I have seen someone commit sucide because she was not able to get a job and have been asked to pack out from where she was leaving. This job hunting game is survival now 😂.
