9ijaMan:You have a point there, i guess if it was collected, more to come ![]() Jonathan must win 2011 at all cost, power they say corrupts |
But something is fishy, how much is $50,000. . .Nigerian leaders dont bribe with such small amounts!, maybe $500,000 ![]() PDP presidents will always be PDP! |
Becomrich how can yoruba delta be 100m when the whole of Nigeria sef is not more than 150m (plus all the inflation from the north) oga becomrich! you calclulation is faulty. . .and why not move to Benin first we will come and join you after you move ![]() |
ok Obasanjo is a trouble maker! Atiku forgot he wasnt in ACN again, poor guy ![]() |
Lol the same guy that called Soludo an alarmist! Sanusi knows power is about to shift, needs to be seen as a progressive National Assembly are bunch of rascals, we need to make that office unattractive, so we can have serious people there, unlike the clowns we have Very soon they will say they want to make sure we sing the national anthem right. . . RUBBISH! |
Why hasnt NTA shown the swearing-in of Governor Aregbesola ![]() Dora must have ordered they limit the growing awareness of ACN. . . Bunch of corrupt people! |
LOL at all the anti-Ribadu. . . . Its unfortunate that all the guys that have experience have either only gained experience in being corrupt than in fixing Nigeria. You see someone that created an organisation (EFCC) that is widely feared and yet you prefer some thieves, so 2years from now you all come to Nairaland and continue your usual cries of how bad Nigeria is You all better wake up and realise that what we need is not a past Governor or past Senator to fix Nigeria - they are all corrupted already! And for those that feel that OBJ is using Ribadu, i ask you is GEJ = OBJ 3rd term? Instead of looking for someone to put OBJ (old man) on trial, why not focus on the future of our country. |
Unfortunately Soludo is not in ACN, i would loved to see a Ribadu/Soludo combination for a reason i keep feeling Utomi is too desperate, and as such dont support him. Ribadu/Fashola wont be bad ![]() |
This is all because of IWU & Do or die politics of PDP, thank God they are all being disgraced out of office now! |
20,000 jobs in 100days is very possible, do u think he is clueless like your PDP governors? |
If Atiku Picks Soludo, then this is going to be a tough one! |
Blazay:Lol. . .I laugh!. . .If Ribadu is an OBJ Stooge. . .what is Jonathan? Is son? ![]() Rubbish statement sir! |
Becomrich. .why should yoruba that is not minority leave Nigeria for Benin. ![]() We should send north to Niger and we take the whole of Nigeria ![]() |
Lol, stop underestimating Atiku. . .dont be surprised if he gets the PDP presidential ticket ![]() |
Lol. . .this guys drama is too much sef! If it was someone like Fashola, the increase will be done with none of this publicity. . .Oga Jonathan sees everything as scoring point. |
OK becomrich i had to research into what you said its true all these guys went to Barewa College, what a coincidence ![]() neways back to Ribadu, watch and see, 2011 we will have our President Nuhu Ribadu! |
It is obvious the citing of a University in Jonathan's Village is as a result of his influence, directly or indirectly. No matter how the media puts it, we are all wiser than that. The main issue now is, is Goodluck Jonathan University, Otuoke in a strategic place to build a university? Why cant we upgrade the present universities than going on a mission that has selfish reasons written all over it! |
So if we want Obasanjo to suffer, we must suffer also for another 4years? Rubbish thread! |
I feel Jonathan is reacting as a result of Aganga's comment! |
These guys dont cease to amaze me, they look for the most insignificant issue to deliberate upon, while the major issue are neglected and Nigerians are suffering. I can bet that Senator that sponsored the bill is PDP, jobless goats! |
PDP is gradually becoming a Northern Party!!! If ACN brings Ribadu (northern) as their Presidential candidate, with all the states ACN already has in the South. . That is the end of PDP come 2011 I'm sure Atiku will be wishing he stayed in ACN ![]() |
stranger:which CNN are u watching sir? Nigerian media said it is Aregbesola ![]() |
dayokanu:Haha, DK nice one, we are from the same place |
Oyo state needs to be delivered also i can imagine how scared Akala is now, knowing that 2011 is not sure for him Shame on PDP! |
sayso:pls get your facts right, who are the some he left, go and check EFCC records, most of the past governors have a case to handle, unfortunately the new chairman is all talk, so nothing will be done. can you kindly suggest who you would prefer with a better track record |
Yesssssssssssssss!, It is Possible! |
Jonathan is building more Federal Universities so no worries more options, they say! |
Atiku has poor knowledge of economy, says Aganga The Federal Executive Council (FEC) yesterday said former vice president Atiku Abubakar, who emerged the consensus candidate of the ‘north’ a few days ago, has too little knowledge of the economy to draw any valid conclusions. Reacting to claims by the presidential aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party that the nation’s foreign reserve had depleted drastically, the minister of finance, Olusegun Aganga, said Mr Abubakar was ignorant of the workings of the economy and therefore should not be taken seriously. He said it is always dangerous to talk on such a topic without having adequate information because this amounts to shooting from the dark. Mr Aganga who addressed journalists after the weekly FEC meeting said, “Let me correct this again; it is dangerous to play politics with the economy because the facts are there. You cannot argue with the facts. When you say ‘dangerously low level,’ that is untrue. That is not a statement of fact. It is always difficult to shoot from the dark, so it is always important to have the right information.” The minister said in terms of the performance of the budget, the recurrent expenditure has been a complete success. “Budget implementation means different things to different people. When you look at the expenditure side, as of date we have implemented the recurrent part of it 100 per cent. On the capital side, we have declared at least 750 billion; we expect to be N900 billion if not more by the end of the year. We are still implementing the budget. And at that level, in absolute numbers, is the highest we have had for the last five years,” he said. He said the current administration has also attacked what he said were the difficult issues that confronted the previous governments. “For example, we made a provision for the N200 billion for PHCN staff, this is to do with legacy issues of arrears, monetisation issues that we have had for over seven years. This year we all decided to prioritise power and you have seen a lot of allocation to power, including a lot of the contracts today. This year, we increase the salary of workers by 53 per cent effective from July. We did make a provision of about N387 billion.” Mr Aganga told reporters that government’s focus is on quality and efficiency of spending, adding that “in the past it was all about money, money. Money doesn’t solve all the problems; it is about the quality and the efficiency of spending. And what have we done on that regard, is that we have strengthened our monitoring and evaluation process. Secondly, going forward, we have introduced performance based budgeting”. Read More: http://234next.com/csp/cms/sites/Next/Home/5646269-146/atiku_has_poor_knowledge_of_economy.csp? Expect More in the next few weeks ![]() |
Dubstic:Thank you!, one of the few informed people on this site Aganga is known to play the game of protecting his job at all cost. He has shown the public how desperate he is to remain loyal to jonathan. His days are limited in government! |
Just so no one misunderstands me All i am saying is this is a good move, but in the wrong direction. I want to enter a federal university and see a well equipped Uni, rather than see 100s of Uni in dilapidated states. Lets start to think quality rather than quantity! |
Y'all make me wonder, if you actually understand that this is another set of poorly funded Universities to join the lot! You are entitled to your opinion, i guess the newspaper that reported the news too are against development i sorry for all of you, no wonder in Nigeria we take a step forward and wonder why that step is not different from where we were b4! GLTA! |
