That's why I put it there and I quote again,"to we Nigerians American English is substandard". You get it now. We were taught BrE in school because they colonised us. Except you are not a Nigerian or you schooled in the US. We have our own English too and I dare not say it's wrong but in this context it's substandard just as AmE.
Not to sound supremacist or asslicking. You can call BrE substandard when you get to Australia or America I don't know.

My guy I did the same in a job interview question some years back and I failed that part of the question.. I argued with the examiner but to no avail..

So i have seen situations where this your answer was correct, but ever since I failed in that job exam.. I just put that ", and" aside.
