China Shows Off Strength Of Military Forces China has made its biggest show of strength in years, displaying tens of thousands of soldiers, hundreds of aircraft and parts of its nuclear arsenal in celebration of the 90th anniversary of the foundation of the People's Liberation Army (PLA). President Xi Jinping was seen for the first time in full military fatigues and gave a speech that assessed the growth of the Chinese armed forces and their role in the world. "A strong army is needed now more than ever," he told troops. "The PLA has the confidence and capability to defeat all invading enemies and safeguard China's national sovereignty, security and development interests. We need to build a strong people's military more than any other time in history. The highlights of the event, which took place in the Inner Mongolian desert region to the far north of the country, included the Dongfeng-31AG, an intercontinental, nuclear-tipped ballistic missile and the Dongfeng-21D, a missile with the capability of taking out an aircraft carrier. Alongside the missile materiel, there were brand new stealth bomber aircraft and a range of combat-ready troops, numbering 12,000 in total. The parade was blanket broadcast on state-controlled television within China and live streamed on YouTube for those abroad - the streaming service itself is banned within China. Xi Jinping repeatedly shouted: "Comrades, you've worked hard" and "Hello, Comrades" to the assembled troops into microphones mounted onto his jeep, while the massed ranks responded with: "Serve the people", "Follow the Party", "Fight to win" and "Forge exemplary conduct". It was a busy weekend for shows of military might, as Vladimir Putin attended a naval display in St Petersburg. Fifty warships and submarines left the Neva River and the Baltic Sea for the Syrian coast to mark Navy Day. Russia usually does its military parades to mark World War Two Victory Day in May, but has beefed up the naval parade in July in recent years. In reaction to the parades in both China and Russia, the United States and Georgia took part in joint manoeuvres in the Caucasian nation. It is thought that 400 troops were present from other nations, including Germany, Slovenia, the United Kingdom, Turkey and the Ukraine. Eight hundred Georgians and 1600 Americans are taking part in the practice operations, which are a show of strength against the Russians. Georgia was invaded by Russia in 2008 and has a fractured relationship with their near neighbours. Diezani refund 90 billion dollar CNN confirmed I start to imagine what a normal human being would ever need 13 Billion British Pounds that's 27 trillions of Naira for in this limited world, which if divided according to the equivocal population of Nigerians 170,000,000 people each person will get over N158 millions. I wonder if former President GEJ could imagine that only one out of his ex-Ministers could steal such a stupendous amount under his administration without his knowledge. Wonders shall never end! In reference to the CNN report that the former Minister has made a refund of $90B already, how much is Dangote worth? As at today Dangote is worth $14.7B and the 67th in the world while Bill Gates was the 2nd with $ 79.2 on the Forbes list. Diezani is simply a wonder. Old pensioners are dying of hunger daily,Insurgency is consuming lives of innocent Nigerians, workers are no longer getting their salaries as at when due, Government can no longer build infrastructures, road all over the country are in complete bad shape and only one woman got away with this kind of money.

N100 Billion Approved for Constituency Projects in All
Senatorial Districts and Federal Constituencies Across
the Country. Hon. Bida
As Nigerians anxiously await 2016 budget
implementation, a member Federal House of
Representatives from Niger State, Hon. Bala Faruk Bida
has said right now their constituency allowances have
been approved and given to them to facilitate
constituency developmental projects.
Hon. Bala Faruk Bida stated this while interacting with
newsmen in Minna. He said a good numbers of Nigeria
are ignorant of this money, adding that it has become
mandatory for the constituents to put "an eagle eye" on
the members of National Assembly to make sure the
money is judiciously utilised.
In his words, "As representatives of the people we must
uphold the virtues of justice and honesty. What we are
saying is that, for example, this N100 billion is meant for
constituency projects. It is not money for our private
pockets. In many instances, the people do not feel the
impact of this money. Now that we know, we are in turn
telling Nigerian to open their eyes and asked members
representing them how much is allocated to them from
the N100b approved. What project(s) should be embark
upon. And they should ensure such projects are
executed. Failure to, the people should sue."
When asked how was the N100b shared. Hon. Bida said,
"Niger State got N1.5b. Each senatorial district (Zone A,
B and C) was given N500 million. We the members of
House of Representatives were given N100 million each,
while the Senators collected N200 million each. I asked
my constituents what project do they want to be carried
out with the N100 million I received. They said power
project. I gave them the money without removing a kobo
from it because is not mine."
"What we are saying in essence is that we should make
sure we do justice to Nigerians. What is meant for the
people should be given to them." He added.
