Most of comment above is the very reason our country is the way it is

Those tracks are industrial by-pass tracks and unfortunately those industries are gone and the communities and families the tracks by-passed have taken their lands.

When the government comes to reclaim its right of way, setback and offsets, the builder will run to the press to cry about victimization.

These may not be government land. You are inexperienced to know that most of these tracks are located in community lands in industrialized cities and suburbs.
In Aba for instance, International Equitable, John Holt, Bata, Textile Mill, and Unilever among hundreds of multinationals have rail tracks from the main train stations to these companies but unfortunately, most of these companies are moribund and no longer exist.

Sports / Re: Argentina Vice-president Defends Enzo Fernandez After Racism Row: I Support You by LadyExcellency: 7:16pm On Jul 18
First and technically, the songs were derogatory but not racist?
Saying most of the French team had mothers and fathers from Angola and Cameroon isn't racist.

Over 80% of the French team comprise of direct or indirect immigrants. That means while some are immigrants others are children of immigrants.

Doubt me, I will give you the statistics.

The Frnech team has 25 players and 16 of those are not just blacks but direct or indirect immigrants.

Barcola, Conan, Thuram, Dembele, Mbappe, Kulo Muani, Fofana, Kate, Tchouameni, Konate, Kounde, Upamecano, Mendy, Maughan, Samba, Carmavinga.

I think the chants were just bants and nothing more. I don't think any team would be foolish enough to chant racial slurs. It's bants and yes it's unprofessional.

That said, I think as an African, it's a positive on our heritage that we have our people dominating international football on another man's land. There is absolutely no reason to be angry or offended.

These people that signed the document are not living at home.

They are not against the request for new State but only the geographical zone to be included. First let the State be created and the rest will come under a negotiated agreement.

If IMF and World Bank want more taxes in Africa then it's a fabrication from the government of Kenya that the Ford Foundation is sponsoring Kenyans against taxes.

Critical thinking with those who are headless mob? Where is the head to reason things logically?

Hahahahaha

Unfortunately, you are not intelligent, the poor will soon start eating the rich if you continue doubling your obsession.

Who created the disasters Nigerians are mourning? Nigerians are literally on the death penalty by the policies of the government you supported in the last nine years without an end in sight but you are fixated on "me against them". Please save your generation and stop babbling.

The problem with people like you is you double down on digging holes inside the pit you find yourself thinking you are doing yourself a favour.

Anyone who voted for Buhari twice and voted for President Tinubu has lost the moral compass to advocate a viewpoint on National policies and politics without first apologizing for what he/she did knowingly or otherwise. It's one thing to believe a lie and gossip about it the first time but to proudly double down on such the second and third times is a scourge.

It's a curse if you can't muster the courage to apologize.

Why is it not the case for Umahi or Hope??

It's not even a tribal thing, Politics is more of a game an Individual needs to learn, an Art to master

Read up on the book "The Prince" by Niccolo Machiavelli and u will understand things more

Anybody would gravitate towards those with value, if all of una for East sleep face one direction, dem go bypass all of u

It may interest you to note that I am talking from experience. I advised Okorocha when he was making a hell of noise about national politics until it dawned on him that foreign and local leagues are not the same.

I have numerous experiences that Umeahi may want to tap from but he is still a baby in national politics until he pokes into the honeycomb. Every politics is local, Umeahi lost a whole deal of his political capital when he attacked Peter Obi, the same thing Emeka Ihedioha did, and became a political orphan notwithstanding his numerous apologies.

Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma can't walk the street of Owerri or any suburb in Imo State in the open since he became Governor hence nobody takes him seriously out of the power of incumbency he wields.

Being used and dumped in Nigerian politics happens when any politician loses organic support.

He is not rising beyond his limit. The owners of Nigeria have a cap on him. Ask Rochas Okorocha, Orji Uzor Kalu, and Ogbonnaya Onu CON,
the former Science and Technology Minister.

Why will traditional rulers take 5% of the allocation?

On what basis and for what?

The Governors are not happy. They will just abandon their responsibilities and force the local govt to take them up while stealing the money.

Imagine such unconstitutional rubbìsh.
Politics / Re: Supreme Court Judgment How Will LCDA /Area Council Be Funded? by LadyExcellency: 5:28pm On Jul 11
ExudeLoveToAll:

There is nothing like LCDA, it's just a term for a supposed agency in Lagos State, it's like a community development committee of any community elsewhere. Either the committee gets subvention from those who formed it or seeks donations from wealthy individuals in the community.

The area Council is directly funded by a stake from the 52% budgetary allocation due to the Feds.

What is the fuse about these as regards the court ruling? It stipulated the LGAs in Nigeria and none of those you stated. That Lagos has been using some funds from the LGA to fund LCDA has nothing to do with the ruling.

Do you even understand what financial autonomy means? The chairman is accountable to the counsellors and not to the State Governor or other non-constitutional creation and who would give their LGA allocation to the State Governor?

My lady open your eyes. I am not Igbo nor have any Igbo relatives. But I will never believe the narrative posted by the police. If truly these men engaged them in a shootout. They should show us images of the scenes. At least bullets would do great damage to the community they engaged in the gun battle

Yorubas are pushing for an ethnic war with the anti-igno narrative they keep pursuing and as we have been shouting in the SS, we will not sit back while the Yorubas try to ignite the entire country. Every election Yorubas won't let us have peace pursuing a narrative that doesn't exist to constitute tribal dominance

I didn't quote you. The comment wasn't meant for you.

The use of IPOB to demonize the Igbos is the most ridiculous thing I have seen in Nigeria that's why it did not take Malami 24 hours to proscribe IPOB as a terrorist organization after the Southeast Governors communique.

Thank you Mazi Ekpa. I think you should warn IPOB to keep their madness to the Igboland alone... No one cares what you turned your region into.

We (Igbos) are all IPOB including all APC stalwarts from the Southeast. You can say whatever you like Igbos don't care about your political numbness.
