You are fluent in English and, preferably, in at least one other Bank language (French, Spanish, Russian, Arabic, Portuguese, or Chinese). You’re not afraid of technology and use it to maximize your work.

Eligibility Criteria

The following are minimum requirements to be eligible for the Junior Professional Associate employment category :

Be 28 years of age or younger
Hold the equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree (with some relevant experience), a Master’s, or be a PhD candidate with a superior academic record.
Be fluent in English
Be fully proficient in one or more of the Bank’s working languages: Arabic, Chinese, French, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish is a plus

Hello guys, just ran into this thread some minutes ago, first lets talk about the test, It is not a CBT, so go to the test hall with your default HB pencil et all and as per the format, It is inform of a booklet ( at least the ones we used in 2011)... a very big one for that matter contains all sorts of reasoning questions from the verbal series to the qualitative and quantitative series...some really frustrating comprehension and so on... about a hundred questions if not more.. buh guys there is no such thing as negative marking, so if time is almost up.. use the 'ADEBABACAC' option, it worked for me.

Now to the question of wether or not it is contract, there are a few folks n the system with 2 years plus experience, started as contract but still havent been converted. So if they are recruiting now, It is definitely contract because it is not possible for them to recruit and obote with BSC without experience as ETs. Pending contracts with experience would have to be converted first, and mind you there are contracts with Msc and MBA. * don't argue *

errr...fine the good old book says 'A bird in hand is worth more than two in the bush'.. I would not want to discourage any of you guys but the truth is most succesful candidates here would end up being tellers (contract) and customer service. These units are in the operations department i.e you guys would relate directly with customers on daily basis from 8am to 4pm... thus reducing your chances to get better job offers as per going for other job tests and interviews. So before you make a decision, please think about it well. All the best folks and of course feel free to ask questions.

If I was to answer that question I would say "I would be both effective and efficient in your company because I believe these competencies go together to assure excellence in the job. Effective staffs will help achieve short term goals, but efficient staffs will ensure long term goals are not compromised due to changes in the business.

Depends on the interviewers body language, you should know when to stop talking and let him assimilate and understand what you've said.


This question test three or four things:
1. Listening skill: Does he understand and think before he responds?
2. Excellence: How will he stay excellent in the job?
3. Ambition: Is he after the short term or long term or both?
4. Orientation: does he know the difference between effectiveness and efficiency?


My view tho..other peeps might have superior arguments....

I got the mail too and have been working on the practice question, the questions are treaky but if you re good based on your ability to think well and use the needed IQ you will find the questions to be simple........I studied political science..above all enough study and research is needed thanks
