Better workers rights and protection laws need to be made and enforced.

All job advertisements must list the salary range.

Contract staffing should only be used for up to six months and non-renewable. After six months, the said staff must be given a permanent contract with the employer directly.

Minimum wage needs to be replaced with a living wage agreed to by the government and each states' worker/labour union and reviewed yearly.

All companies employing more than 5 workers must pay the living wage.

Employment tribunals to replace the national industrial court to mediate and give binding judgements on all work related cases.

Yes there is inflation but please don't discourage people. One bedroom flat on parts of Alimosho and Ifako-ijaiye LGA or Ikorodu goes for 600-800k annually. That is around 50-60k monthly. 200k monthly salary is a blessing to some people out there earning far less.

What about Indians, Chinese and even European countries who use their own indigenous language as language of instruction, and their students/graduates still compete favorably well when placed side by side with those taught in English in the global market?

The difference is that those kids in china and India also wrote their exams in their language.

In Nigeria, kids might learn in Hausa, igbo or yoruba but CE/WAEC/JAMB are held in English causing the kids to flop the exams.


Nigeria needs to adopt standard learning plans and provide exams that are held in other local languages.

Nigeria needs around 35million litres of petrol daily. Do the maths. Even if we import it should be minimal.
