stacydual: This is my 1st post on nairaland, I won't discourage or encourage what U have been doing here.
I am 23yrs of age with 2years experience before I came 2do NYSC and in the process applied for this.
When I first came back to write the first stage of this NLNG, I stumbled upon this thread but became furious wen I realised I had to wait for weeks to make a comment after registering. Since then I just became a "Silent follower". And found out some stuffs which I believe most of us take for granted >>> I can tell you I was laughing throughout when I was writing the SHL because I registered and paid online and practiced as much questions as possible everyday. Wen I saw the last section I nearly went mad because it was just something in a textbook I bought and read in Camp when I was bored.
Now we are all successful; but am gonna give some advice.
I got to realise that in Nigeria, people are more dependent on ideas and things to get them to Success faster and not realising the consequences or taking "mitigative" actions..... Somebody said practice practice practice on this network and he is 500% right.
People were disqualified from the entrance gate during the 1st n 2nd stage but never knew....
Remember you are "competing" to be selected: We can share ideas for group work, Case studies, but on answering some interviewing question please don't ever do it here or public, if possible keep it to yourself or communicate privately (HR in every organisation has a trend and their junior or young employees are given tasks like this; to investigate social sites and comeback with feedbacks). When out of 350, 100 are answering almost all interview question in the same pattern, the bar *might* be raised higher for these particular people. I have witnessed friends of mine get kicked out for this kinda situation . From my extensive research, NLNG isn't in the same class as NNPC, SNEPCO or mobil.... Only Total can come close to the class of LNGs Worldwide wen it comes to organisation and fault-finding.
Never give out your answers of personal interviews publicly....

Someone called Ddplacement made comments in an elegant way (That shows he knows the System and trying to beat HR) but later he decided to stop, ask yourself Y? and who contacted him to stop and how?

Assessment Center - ADVICE:
From my final Summer class before graduation we were advised to register and practice Case Studies, Group/Teamwork, Role plays, we even got to be supervisors during these AC-practice at a stage and that really helped most of us, I have only been unsuccessful in 1 AC amongst all and dat was my 1st.... Now please:
[center][/center] Try and register in an online practice centre or some school portals that offer that.
[center][/center] Solve case studies, group work in public/nairaland with friends but please #Understand the pattern and sequence of analysis, Do not ever be expectant of seeing the same case Study#
[center][/center] Watch some case or group studies online.

There is an ebook I will try to check on my school portal if it still exists, will host it so anyone interested can download/read it, it will help you pass interviews and ACs. in as much as its close to 290 pages, I took my time to read and made small notes, since then, I hardly read for an interview or AC.

There are friends of mine working in Multi-nationals in Nigeria that made it to this stage, and they keep making it to this stage for a reason, they are as intelligent as we all are but ask yourself how do they do it. *Extensive Research* which can never leave them. Some of the participant in this AC stage are here to negotiate higher salaries. Do not be intimidated, because most of them will mistakenly forget this is a GT-position and give more than required.

Ask yourself what are you expected to achieve within 6months after you have resumed work in NLNG Use that as a basis for all the answers to your interview questions.

I will make a contribution to the bridge crossing Case-study and ask some questions.
Even though I cant remember all the Case-study questions I have done before, will share to my remembrance...
