Hmmm there's a lot to be said about this but let me say this little. First thing I'll say is I can understand how painful it is to see grown people walking the destructive path but that said, we need to realize that God is very patient. 2 Peter 3:9 says "… God is patient and does not wish for any to perish but for all to come to repentance." Since we've established that fact, we also need to understand that we as christians can't "pray" for unbelievers to be saved. Christ finished the work of salvation over 2000 years ago. What is required for everyone is to believe in Him. This is why Paul said in 2 Cor 10: 3-6 that we cast down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God and we take every thought captive, punishing every disobedience once your obedience is complete. The weapons we use to wage this warfare aren't carnal or man-made, and that's why arguing with unbelievers never really gets us anywhere.
Spiritual warfare is what we use to break them out of their cages. Jude 1 speaks of them who are worldly and devoid of the Spirit and in verse 23 says "save others by snatching them out of the fire…". So my dear it's clear that these people require special treatment, probably and encounter from God Himself or a life-changing lesson or somebody who will devote adequate time to really interceed for their souls. As much as it's painful to watch them, even the Bible makes it clear that there will still be unbelievers on the last day.

You know... I am not even one of the best of Christians but I LOVE the God I serve and when anyone says very unclever things about God, I feel a deep cut, almost like a knife threatening to severe me from both logic and sentiments.

Guys, if you didn't know, know now. Many are mad, only a few are privileged to roam the streets. Just know this and guard your hearts well from people like this.

Been observing a certain lady on this platform. Apparently, she is an atheist, says all sorts of demeaning things about God and one can only wonder what went wrong.
Sometimes I am tempted to comment but I hold my peace, yes, the peace I daily pray for.

So Today, I stumbled on a post from the same person and I felt a sharp pain. I responded to one comment only to realise there were many more like her. They kept springing up like elephant grasses on Sagamu soil saying trash about the God I serve.

Here's what some of them had to say:
" have you noticed you guys are always the ones whining for the so called omnipotent god?

What happened to Mr omnipresent speaking for itself?

Let me say it again, the biblical god is stupid, idiotic, maniacal, murderous and lame, in fact I feel sorry for it.

Make all the adages you want, your biblical god is lame.

It's funny how ignorant you guys sound when someone calls your so called Mr powerful stupid.

Look around you, folks dying, children with no food to eat, politicians robbing your resources etc but your god can't even do nothing.

pray for me to stop, just do it now... I'll check back to see if your stupid god answered your prayers.

Then I prayed for him and then he replied:

i see your prayers... I know your idiotic god will do nothing, just like it does nothing when thousands of children die everyday in Africa because of malnutrition.

I know it will do nothing, just like it did nothing when boko haram was ravaging Christians in the north east.

I know it will do nothing, like when over 90 Christians were killed during the Easter period in Egypt.

I know it will do nothing like when isis where killing Christians in Iraq"

Actually, I would school them but I know God can do that more appropriately.

I am honestly hurt, I have many things I want to say with my sharp wits, I...
I want to say that even if you don't worship him, He will raise stones to do that, I want to ramble on and on about my testimonies, I want to tell them so many things that God can do but..

My people, here is a call to duty. Pray for this people, I refuse to be the one to argue my way to their deliverance. Pray for many others who have been too long in the dark to recognise the light.

These people are timing God, He'll come. Wait for Him.

Romance / Hello Single Spiritual Brother by lalabrother: 12:28am On Apr 08, 2017
Calvary greetings I bring to you.
I have heard of your single state and decided to write to you about the things that has made you single till now...

First, bros...
Decency is good but there's nothing attractive about wearing an oversized black coat on top a bogus red shirt and a heavily huge blue tie with a trouser large enough to serve as bedsheet for my entire village.

I know you speak in tongues, I know you have all the gifts of the spirit but it's woman you'll marry na, not spirit. So your packaging matters kwa. It's not all about inner content. Package the inner spiritual man well with outer beauty and class.
You cannot be dressing like one illiterate from Congo and you're wooing a sister that is a bank manager. Bros, check it na, it's not fair..

And yes, I also know you've read the Bible back to back. I know, but understand that when you take a sister out on a date, it's not bible study or prayer meeting. It's a date; talk about things like vision, fun, dreams, social issues, ETC.

Learn about other things, be updated, read books, see TV series, follow conversations on social media, be intelligent in conversations biko..

And see eh..
When you love a lady, don't go and just tell her that God said she's your wife.
Is that all the reason you'd want her?
You sef you no follow see her awesomeness?
Compliment her biko..
Tell her there's just no woman like her..
Don't quote Bible while wooing her. Lol
If you must quote Bible, let it be from Songs of Solomon..
Talk like a man, a natural man.
Look her in the eye(as in eyeball to eyeball-in Jenny's voice) and communicate how you feel..

And biko remember to wear a nice cologne. There's nothing holy about having a body odour no matter how much you speak in tongues..

Uhmm,
Telling your pastor to talk to a lady for you eh, that thing is childish. Na pastor wan marry am?
Approach a woman yourself biko. Talk to her. Sending your father in the lord to talk to her makes you look immature. She wants a confident man not some timid spiritual man.

Buy her gifts, not just Bible. She has Bible already abeg. Buy her chocolate, phone, clothes, shoes, just buy her something relatable to her, not bible. I'm not saying Bible is not good but she has Bible.

If you're always saying everything that is fine is demonic like lipstick, classy clothes, good living and ETC, you'll bore and irritate her. If everything is a sin, wetin person wan enjoy again for this life sef?

Conclusively, Spiritual brother.
Learn to make a woman laugh.
Learn to be less serious sometimes.
We are not yet in heaven, having some lovely time and fun is not evil...

There are lots of things to still say, but as times goes I will write to you on these matters that concern your single state.

I dont usually watch this show but this young boy intrigued and caught my attention.
He taught me a lot

He taught me that loyalty is important and it takes you far.

He taught me to always by honest, the truth may be bitter but it has to be said.

He taught me to never forget where i come from,to never forget or be ashamed of my beginning.

He taught me to always put God first in everything, because the physical is always controlled by the spiritual.

He taught me to never stop working and striving for something greater to never settle for less.

He thought me to appreciate our own as a true Nigerian,we were all brought up with pidgin,we only learnt queens English in school he made pidgin captivating that even other countries want to learn.

He taught me that no one is too young to dream.

He gave those people who are called poor, dirty and local a reason to dream again..to not give up but continue going because our beginning does not define our end.

He has his flaws too...but his good character and personality shines over them.
I really hope he wins...not hope.
He must win.

#Teamefe its time to vote like never before.
Its time to show that young man how loved he is.
its time to show him how much we appreciated his presence on our t.v screen.

Vote Efe to 32052.
Or
Through wechat.
No matter how small or little you can do. it matters.

Literature / Chimamanda Adichie Makes Fortune Magazine's List Of World's 50 Greatest Leaders by lalabrother: 9:19pm On Mar 24, 2017
Fortune has released its annual list of World’s 50 greatest leaders and award winning Nigerian Author, Chimamanda Adichie made it to the list.

Nigerian author, Chimamanda Adichie is among the 50 greatest world leaders in the 2017 Fortune magazine ranking

These 50 great men and women are said to be transforming the world and inspiring others to do the same in business, government, philanthropy and the arts.

About Chimamanda who is 42 on the list, the magazine wrote:

“The prize-winning Nigerian writer has won admirers with her prose and a pair of viral TED Talks (one of which was famously sampled by Beyoncé). But Adichie has been most powerful in challenging her audiences to think differently and more expansively about Africa, identity, race, and gender. Many in the ¬English-speaking world have embraced the invitation, and she has emerged as a feminist icon—she tells girls to get over being liked—and a fearless political and cultural critic.”

Top on the list is Chicago Cubs baseball team president Theo Epstein, followed by Business mogul Jack Ma of AliBaba group of companies and Catholic leader Pope Francis is in third place for his social integration projects as a clergy.

Melinda Gates is at number four in recognition of the impact of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation which she co-chairs while Jeff Bezos Amazon CEO is at number five.

The list also features Colombian music superstar Shakira is at 27, celebrated basketball player LeBron James at 11 and former U.S Vice President Joe Biden at 23.

Adichie's novel “Americanah” recently won the “One Book, One New York” campaign by the Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment and BuzzFeed.

In a recent interview with the UK Guardian, she addressed several issues bordering on feminism, girl child, women and fashion in Nigeria and life generally. of the issues for which he is well known.

On Wednesday, March 22, women from all walks of life gathered in Ogun state to stage a rally against gender-based violence and women molestation in Nigeria.

lalabrother:
Was thinking about the fellow that jumped into the lagoon the other day and I just couldn't help but feel sad... I spent time wondering what could have moved the young man to such an action. Heard on radio that he was just 35 years...

At 35 he was a doctor... Had a car, and even a driver... from the Nigerian standard that sounds like a successful young man in all ramifications.

There probably were lots of his secondary school mates or his university mates envying him.
But truth is no one knew what he was going through...

I concluded that he was having a bout of depression and it took a bad turn.

I will ask some pertinent questions.
When last did we check on a friend that we haven't heard from in a while?
When last did we visit some one we knew was finding things difficult?
When we see someone who had it going so well and all of a sudden is finding it hard to make ends meet, do we make fun of them?
When was the last time we called the names of particular people in our circle during our prayers with our creator, to intercede on their behalf ?
The economy is tough and truly people are finding it more difficult to survive.
I have noticed personally an increased number of destitutes in Lagos lately.

We need to watch out for each other... We need to call, we need to visit. I am hoping we check in on others from time to time(physically).
We never know who needs just an ear to listen to all the problems he/she is going through.

Let's be more caring... To at least call someone per day just to say hello!

Lets ponder on this for a few seconds and decide to assist each other psychologically& spiritually today.
Family / Re: At 35 He Was A Doctor... Had A Car, And Even A Driver... by lalabrother: 6:00pm On Mar 24, 2017
Acidosis:
Owing a car at 35 as a Doctor is not new and depression has nothing to do with money. If you graduate at 22, and get a job that pays at least N180,000-N200,000 monthly, you can own an SUV before 25 years.

Why haven't all the almajiri and IDPs committed suicide if poverty is a leading cause of depression?

I'm only surprised because as a Doctor, he should know more about depression and mental health than any other person.

The same way a voice tells someone to go na.k.ed and walk in rags on the street (those we called ma .d men) is the same way a voice spoke to the Doctor to jump into the lagoon. Google hallucinations, clinical depression and psychotic depression.

These guys hear voices, they see stuffs other people can't see. It has nothing to do with money, although a feeling of hopelessness and worthlessness may be a causative factor of depression.

Like you said, we need to be watchful and take good care of those around us by keeping a close watch. What led to the suicide mission started a long time ago, those around him should have seen all that, but they were blinded by the flashy car and driver... You see why I said it has nothing to do with money?

Nigerians worship money a lot, and immediately we see rich men, we assume all is well with them. Some wealthy folks are unhappy and depressed. Meanwhile, some poor men are happy. Go to the IDPs and watch 'hopeless' kids play football.
Watch their parents live happily in harmony with their peers.

As a country, we need to practise and preach contentment. When you fail to meet up with the standards you set, manage what you have and continue to strive. If all these fail to change the feeling, visit a psychiatrist immediately. Nigeria has over 16 specialized psychiatry institutions with over 20 other psychiatry units in all tertiary health institutions in Nigeria.. They are not built solely for the so called unclad "ma. d" men on the streets, they are meant for everyone, including those on suit and tie.

As the body gets weak and sick, so do our minds. The Doctor failed to treat his mind.

You made a valid point
