Did you read what I typed correctly?

'There is the official definition of dependent as far as US immigration is concerned' not 'This is'

Then your post might be misleading to Gratefulaheart or others with There ,.. it was stated to think thats the definition of a dependant on F2 .... F2 dependants are only spouse and minor children . Grandparents , parents or relatives cannot be on F2 visa as mentioned by aadeyi. They fall under B1B2

Sir this is Wrong , Only the spouse and unmarried minor children (under 21 years old) of an F-1 or J1 student are eligible to enter the United States in F2/J2 dependent status. Frequently international students wish to invite their parents or other family members to the U.S. to attend graduation or for a visit can only do so under B1/B2 visa

There's really no need hanging one on a tree, when there's clearly no evidence she took anybody's money or one coming forward saying they've been scammed. Most of us here do the worst behind our closets. That's defamation of one's character. Am not here to side with anyone,I clearly do not know any of you here personally,I mean we should thread clearfully and move one,the lady in question moved on and is clearly ignoring everyone.

Moving on cool cool . My comments hav nothing 2 do with scam though. I bin spotting lies in her student visa posts. Wat confusion makes 1 want 2 resume school weeks later in sept wen u hav 2 visas. After i20 date of Aug 15 u will b turned back is d rule........ Nw she entering more dan 30 days ahead...against anoda rule..... She just said yes classes resume Aug 15 only blc i said so . HU website states its orientation that is dat week not classes . She don't even knw her story .

Am glad you said 'based on people's comments about me' I owe nobody no fu*ckin explanation here. Yes,my classes starts August 15th,but am going to personally resume classes on the 22nd . I was not being delusional when I said September reason because I thought I was gonna arrive the States September due to the confusion about my business visa and F1 visa . And to answer your final question,am in the States now . I presented my F1 visa ,and my B1 was cancelled.

Dis explanation confirms U r a fibber . Not going into long story but any1 wen study d rules or knw d system wil tak que from dis answer say na wash lie.

1. How much is the minimum PTA to carry in cash for a traveller?...
PTA are hard to get now so maybe you mean Cash. You can carry any amount however anything over $10,000 u must declare it on the custom form. If you don’t declare it and they find out it can be seized. So in this economy no make them seize ur money. Declare anything over 10K and be open about it if its your school fees, and the source of the money but then there is a safety issue . Do you really want to travel with so much?. Dont keep your money in your checked bag or it might grow legs. Keep cash close to you at all times

2. Do we need yellow card also called vaccine card to get to the US? ……
I never been asked for Yellow card but I have heard of it . This is a Nigeria airport thing, not sure what its used for or if they ask maybe depending on who u meet . The US airport dont ask or require of it , any immunization thing is for ur school not airport

3. Can any immigration official stop an individual from travelling for whatever reason and what is to be done in such a case? …
Very rare but the only reason I can think of is travelling after your i20 start date . If u are entering in a city far from your school then depending on the POE u meet , be ready to explain or show your continuing ticket (Some ask u some dont) . If you look suspicious then they can pull you out for questions but i doubt that for a student .

4. Do you need to give anybody money as a first timer?
Its so shameful the way the Nigerian airport staff beg for money and they do it so shamelessly open . Me I just carry face. If u carry too much naija food stuff then they might waste your time to give them money . You can have little change for that if u want or just strong your face that you no get money.

5. And likely questions to be asked at the point of entry…..
No need to prepare for this . Just be honest and answer the questions asked. Make sure all your school documents are with you and not in your checked bags. Have them ready at POE .

Weigh your bag before u leave so its within tolerance, no liquid in ur hand luggage or it will go into the dustbin for example perfume. Put it in your checked bag.

Remember traffic so get to the airport in good time. Give at least 2 to 3 hours to departing time. If you have a connecting flight be mindful of your next flight and make sure you are at that boarding gate well in time. If you are very tired and might sleep off , set an alarm because I have slept off at the boarding gate and shockingly nobody woke me up so I missed that flight sitting right at the gate embarassed . Airline brought down my luggage and off it went then i woke up

you be fine though .....Enjoy your trip

Can i send you a pm? Thx

Nah my sister, I'm man of integrity. It's just funny that Deetus response was funny and right on point. Of what good are these garri girls forming Malia Obama, who don't even know what's next for their future in the U.S? My wife is sufficient for me. She's right there with me everywhere online , on my nl profile or facebook. She's endowed with intelligence, geniality, affection and ambition. She doesn't flaunt her level of education, where she schooled, what she has or where she's from.

dont replace trust with unhealthy obsession grin grin grin

I am not going argue with you. You are only talking from hearsay. I have lived in houston for more than 2 years. Before I came to the usa, people said there plenty Nigerians in houston but you will be surprised that you won't see them left and right lol cheesy cheesy. You sounded like nigeriams walk on the street of houston like it's oshodi or Eko idumota. Well the only time you can see them is in church or mosque on Sundays

Nigerians are a lot here in Houston ooo maybe u say not ur side. Come South West . Here in sugarland or Katy, Alief we are many & so nosy . I just greet from a distance. U wont lack 4 Nigerian foodstuff or restaurant . I live in sugarland . Come to Walmart for shopping & everywhere u turn u hear and see them .
