Below post starts with car model 2001 GU Patrol (Y61) symptom that car kept going into limp home mode, then recommended to have one Foxwell AutoMaster Pro NT624 scanner to solved. How this story goes? Go on reading following parts. Hope it helps.

I use AutoMaster Pro NT624 to check ECU and read out fault code as below:

PO134 H02S1 (B1) – Heated O2 Sensor Bank 1 Sensor 1

P1122 ETC FUNCTION/CRC – Throttle Body Actuation -Electronic Traction Control

P1123 ETC Mot RLY/CRC – Electronic Traction Control – Motor Relay



After cleared the fault code, I got the left code:

P1122 ETC FUNCTION/CRC – Throttle Body Actuation -Electronic Traction Control



Then I have a quick check of the live data for the Throttle Body motor, when graphed against the Throttle Position Sensor, revealed that the throttle body motor was in-fact intermittently faulty. Causing a correlation error -Throttle position sensor not accurately reflecting the a accelerator position sensor.



Then I decided to do a quick check on the fault code:



PO134 H02S1 (B1) – Heated O2 Sensor Bank 1 Sensor 1



As this would take a drive cycle (potentially) to reset. We naviaged to the live data for the both O2 Sensors and graphed them together. With O2 Sensors, the general rule of thumb is to see them switch between rich and lean (0.1 -ish- and 0.9 -ish- Volts) around 8 times over 10 seconds at 2000 rpm. Watching each O2 sensor signal I counted the crosses (switching between 0.1 – 0.9) and found that wile the bank 2 (rear) sensor was crossing around 5 times (a lazy sensor) the bank 1 (front) was struggling to make 3 crosses. Both sensors where more often on the lean side. So although not technically a current fault, I was suggested to also replace my O2 sensors as they are both currently lazy -one more so than the other- and likely to need replacement in the future.

I have to use for my BMW E31 and E38. I can speak to ease of use and functionality.
As you can see below chart is Foxwell NT510 Scanner workable function on BMW E31.





Here I list some I tested for your reference.
BMW E31 especially early are going to be very limited on features. This isn't due to the tools or software used, it's just the DMEs don't have the echo commands to provide all the detailed data.
Electronic parking brake reset, SRS reset, and service intervals are the "big 3" packages that our tool has.

As for coding injectors after replacement with Foxwell NT510, it's an accessible option in the menu list... I haven't tried it because my injectors are fine but there's a long list of menus in fuel injection you can mess with. Injector replacement and adaptations were in there and you could access it.

Foxwell NT510 can read out manufacturer specific codes. Most handheld tuners that will also pull codes only pull the basic P codes, not your BMW specific code lines. Now don't get me wrong P codes are very useful, they'll send you down the right path (most of the time), but manufacturer specific codes are going to tell you what door to open.

Foxwell unit is a standalone tool, no need for a laptop, this can be a positive or negative depending on the style tool you like to use. If you're use to a GUI interface on a laptop going to a scan tool style interface will take some getting use to.
Going by a quick look once Foxwell releases the coding update the tools look to have very similar functions. Also no VIN lock on the foxwell scan tool, use it on as many cars as you'd like.

In conclusion:
Foxwelltool extended us an evaluation copy of this unit and I was really impressed with it. The various functions remind me of the vaunted VAG-COM system we've used in Volkswagen & Audi for years. Such a simple and affordable scanner is really a plus for this platform.

I received Foxwell NT510 at Jun 28 from http://www.foxwelltool.com/to work on a 2002 GM C1500. It did not come with the GM software installed, since I specified GM for my included 1 free vehicle make. I was asked to register on Foxwelltech.com website and download the program, my Serial number is NV516040XXXXX.
After successfully registered, I find nothing more. When I select the GM software and attempt to install, the website prompts me to click "here" to install a client, which fails to work. I've included a screen sh ot and the result of clicking on the "here" prompt.

“I have an unused Airbook from 2010 running snow leopard as op sys and equipped as usual with a 112 GB solid state disc, a WIFI and one USB port to the external world. Of course, it is based on the Intel platform.As I love these light and beautifully designed machines, I was thinking about using it for something else then letting it accumulate dust in a drawer. DAS/Xentry came to mind and I spent a weekend to get it up and running.

I needed three attempts:
First attempt: Update of the machine to the new mountain lion op sys. Then I ran Bootcamp to partition the disc into 40Gb for the Mac and approx. 70 Gb for Windows. I used Refit to get a comfortable dual boot manager. During installation I realised that the newest version of Bootcamp (part of mountain lion) only supports Win7 and upwards. Thus I continued with Win7 and as the effort to get Xentry running under Win7 was too big and I progressed too slowly, I experimented with Win7 and VMWare running Xentry in a virtual XP machine. This turned out to be too slow for my taste but it is probably a reasonable option for a more powerful Mcbook Pro. Someone in the forum has a similar thing with Xentry/DAS 11/2012 but on win xp thru Parallels desktop on my Macbook Pro and had same error HHTwin.ini but carried on. Then successfully installing WIS 11/2012 and EPC 8/2012 without any problems. And it’s said that his DAS worked well with mercedes w202 cdi220 by SD connect c4 (lan connection).
Second attempt: I loaded the older snow leopard as op sys because its Bootcamp version supports Win XP. I made a dual boot with XP, using Refit again, and started to install DAS/Xentry. I encountered limitations by the single USB port and worked around with an external USB-Hub to have an external DVD drive, a dual button mouse (more comfortable to use under XP than the trackpad) and a USB stick connected at the same time. Problem here was that the USB port was somehow overloaded and hung up twice. I abandoned this as well and applied the big gun.
Third attempt: I went for a XP-only installation, applied the special Mac drivers after the first boot into XP and installed DAS/Xentry 11.2012 (the only offline scn coding/programming version without issues) according to the SKdrasher script but with some modifications.

Like in my PC installations I skipped his step 6 (VBoxService installation). On a PC, I always get two error messages while installing the first of the two DVD's. The first one (no .....getspdir file or similar text) I ignore and a bit later another error would come up saying '...cannot create .../../HHTwin.ini file'. Before acknowledging this error I create a HHTWin dir at the location given in the error message and then I 'yes' to continue the installation. Maybe this is known to experts, I figured it out by coincidence. Without creating the HHTWin, the installation process automatically installs Xentry as well. Creating the subdir, the installation follows exactly the skdrasher script and needs the extra step for Xentry installation.

Now I have a very stylish and compact machine when I work around my cars. Next weekend I will install EPC (electronic parts catalogue) and SD media.”

1.Q:I own an Audi A5 Registration: FL12 UFW. I lost fluid in my break reservoir and tired to bleed the breaks only to find I've got a soft pedal. I believe air is trapped in the EBS valve, will your scanner, named above, cycle my EBS pump.

10.It's definitely handy for keeping plugged in and data logging too. You can just keep it in your lap. Or what I found even easier was to run the cable over the steering column and away from the pedals and just set it in the passenger seat. There's plenty of cable length!

11. I really like that it offers so many real time measuring blocks. I mean I could check just about everything. Live ignition timing, misfire counters, throttle position, coolant inlet/outlet temp, Injector duty, wastegate/N75 duty, Exhaust temp.. just to list a few.

12.It's really quick to plug in and retrieve information. I keep it handy and plug it in whenever I'm interested in something. Like you said, it's very easy just to pull over, plug it in, start logging, and stick it in the door pocket.

14.these foxwell units are great little gadgets! They have a lot of the same capabilities as VCDS. I haven't gotten to explore all of the functions yet, but I will say if you are in the market for a scan tool this is by far the best one out there.

From the Saved data... Engine speed is 3840RPM. Looks right for APR Stage 1

Not sure if the sample rate is different than VCDS. I haven't looked to see if it can be changed depending on the channel. I believe it is faster for live data and graph view, but is slower for saving. It may also be limited to 256 samples.

19.Q:It does logging also? What can't it do compared to VDCS?
A:It does log data and you can view live graphs while recording,I do not know all that VCDS can do, but the more I find, the less the gap seems to be.

20.Awesome, I really recommend this to everyone. It saves you money and when used with your specific car repair manual you can be your own mechanic and do it yourself!!!

22.I just received mine today. Seems very comprehensive
I was able to scan my airbag codes and figure out my problem. You can save scan info to the provided SD card. I was able to then search the Web for some further explanation and some DIY help.

In short, it appears to do what it says quite well.

Managed to use NT630 ABS and airbag reset tool to reset the airbag on truck GMC the 2005 year.
Note:

The option of airbag reset can be displayed after selecting models;

No button related on the device or function in the main menu interface

I bought my Foxwell NT500 on foxwelltool with US$159, which was recommended by a friend on forum. I received a package with NT500 VAG Scan tool, memory card, USB and diagnostic cable, nylon carry pouch and user’s guide.

I was able to scan my airbag codes and figure out my problem. You could save scan info to the provided SD card. Then I searched the Web for some further explanation and some DIY help. In short, it appeared to do what it said quite well.


I just did a little more investigation after that and found that the NT500 appears to be capable of all of those functions (coding, adjusting headlights, taillight brightness, key fob tricks, system diagnostics, etc.) except for maybe the ability to update the software part. The adaptation functions covered documented and undocumented settings. The documented settings gave an explanation of the parameter and suggested values. Again, I had no experience with the PC versions, but so far it was very promising. I would try to get some screen shots.

Thus I did quick coding example to disable the seat belt chime on my 2008 A4. Here was the display:

Reason:
Because of the safety of functional and safe brake operation, the ABS Module (and the SRS Module) does a self test by supplying voltages to each pin and measuring the voltage (the short version) on its corresponding return pin. In an instance when the voltage is not within its specified parameters -IE. Too High, Too Low, Missing, The ABS module then determines the relevant fault and deactivates the ABS system and illuminated the ABS warning light, which happens during each key cycle. This is why the light illuminates when the key turns on.
Operation
1 navigate to the diagnostic menu of BA ford falcon, and obtain the fault code “C1155 LHF Wheel Speed Sensor”
2 turn the ignition on. After the self test of ABS module, reset the fault code.
3 graph the left and right front wheel sensors from the live data menu with NT630.(The output of the LHF wheel speed sensor was flat line at the time of driving.
4 find the sensor is in fact open circuited after get access to the wheel speed sensor and a quick resistance.
